What we know is that all governments make promises they can’t fulfill. Our government certainly has. Under both political parties, it has taken promise making to a high art. This is not hyperbole. The figures can be found in regularly published government reports.
Much worse than you probably think
The figures exist, but they are ignored. News reports regularly inform us of the growing federal deficit, projected at a stunning $1.75 trillion for fiscal 2009 and $1.17 trillion for 2010. But regularly reported, less visible government obligations have been growing much faster.
In the nearly five years from January 2003 to December 2007, the Medicare trustees reported that the unfunded liabilities of Social Security and Medicare grew by a stunning $10.4 trillion. The average annual growth topped $2 trillion.

Why would their be unfunded liabilities on their books? Where’s the secured party to the organization holding the obligation? Maybe the other parties involved in this bonded agreement ought to teach the holders of the debt (the public) how to offset their debts (bills) into cash (notes). Every taxpayer is under the illusion that what they use as a medium of exchange for goods and services (FRN’s) are cash when in fact they are debt notes or government obligations. Has someone cracked the code? Maybe.
I will guarantee that the taxpayers assets look and appear to be something else on the books at the treasury. With everyone selling debt, maybe someone might want to mention to the taxpayers what debt truthfully is.

Next the dollar will start tanking and oil and all the commodities will start going up. These costs hitting businesses is bad enough, but when all the printed money hits main street? Kaboom!
Inventories for everything are depleted and a lot of manufacturers and farmers have scaled back / insolvent / despondent, so output of goods and services will not increase proportionately to the excess demand of money flowing after it. A vicious circle of hyperinflation follows.

I don’t think there will be the kind of large-scale starvation program they intend to inflict on the American population. It’s my personal assessment but I think they will preserve the more docile and compliant populations in Europe (the Germans, the English all of Scandinavia) while starving and sickening large swaths of undesired population (Spain, Portugal, Southern France, Italy) in Brazilian favela style Ghettoes.
However even if you’re in the desired population segment you will still be starved to death, only in a much slower way and probably in the end far more painful way. You will be – bull – you ARE given foods to eat that are full of hydrogenated and _un_saturated fats(bad!) that clog your arteries, foods systematically iraddiated with hard radiation and devoid of vitamins, especially ascorbates / Vitamin C. There is no processed food to be had that isn’t full of deadly chemicals, if you want to get your daily dose of Trisodium Phosphate (an industrial cleaner and disinfectant) go and eat Thrifty Brand icecream, some Kellogs foods (breakfeast cereals etc.) contain Sodium Laureate, an agent used in soap to make it foam more. It would seem that detergent and food ingredient lists are mixing, I can’t wait to chug down strawberry flavored (artifical of course) drain-o lite (lite because it’s with Aspartame).

Someone told her they overheard something at a FEMA meeting. It was regarding the collapse of the banks. I could have sworn they said July/Aug. It’s actually Aug/Sept 09.
I do find it awfully odd that it’s apx. one year after the last mess here. I’m am not an expert on knowing how it would affect the UK. Find some good sites and stick with this one. It’s better to have backup food and water and not need it if it doesn’t happen than to have it happen and have no backup. Peace

A dollar collapse would collapse the UK and Ireland too. Furthermore by July an Eastern European country will go bankrupt, probably Latvia (GDP shrank 20% in 1st quarter). This would take out some of the Western banks and will force many western countries to play their bluff of guaranteeing their deposits.
The treasury bills bought by Britian and Ireland would be worthless. Being countries that have a lot of ties economically, politically and financially we would buckle and we are on the brink as it is. The Irish banks are over leveraged if 3 to 4% of their assets fail they are insolvent. If 5% of their savings gets withdrawn they will have no cash.
So you are right with your predictions Highlanderess, hyperinflation has started and will ravage the system over the next 8 weeks.

The politicians have been stealing our money from Social Security since the Reagan years. Both parties have stolen the people of this country blind. Enriched themselves and their corporate masters 10 fold.
The largest percentage of the population, the “baby boomers” are just now turning old enough to make the decision on their Social Security take it now, or wait until 65. More are taking at 62 than the gov’t. expected due to the disasterious economy, and the belief among many, no funds will be there in the next few years.
In another 10 years all the WW2 vets, the “greatest generation” will have died, then it is time to go after the “baby boomers,” but unfortunately for them some who learned from their parents and still have a belief in their country, liberty and freedom. That segment of the population will be basically starved out economically. Just wait for the “new” health care and then the reduction in payments on Social Security, where they must give up their homes and life savings quickly just to survive, they will die out much quicker that way. Then everything will be left to the 30 somethings, that know nothing, and have nothing saved. Easy victims for the corporate elite, the globalists, and banksters. They will be slaves in their own country.

It appears that you have the same revolation that Simon/Peter had. Rants are one thing, but solutions are another.
I used to go to protests and even organize some, but I have come to realize that unless we hit our politicians where it hurts most (in their pocketbooks) protesting is just like whining, it doesn’t seem to solve much, just my personal observation. Don’t stop contacting them though if that’s your agenda, just at least make sure they promote human rights and civil liberties all the way.
So, I’ve come to the conclusion that if we can’t scream loud enough to make them do the right thing, then we can do these things which will hurt them indirectly, and prepare you and your family at the same time:

4. Stop sending in a 1040 each year and incriminating yourself, violating your own 5th amendment rights. The IRS Code itself says that compliance is voluntary. There is no law that says you have to file a 1040.
5. Go to Tractor Supply and buy a 65+ gallon cistern which can automatically collect rainwater, and water from your dripping air conditioner outside. Let this cistern water your trees and garden automatically, and, collect drinking water too if needed (just run the water through your Berkey filter).
6. Stock up on guns and ammo. They’re as good as gold anyday.

7. Order a pallet of food reserves online (readyreservefoods, efoodsdirect, etc) and store those cases under your bed where it’s cool and hidden (replaces your bedframe).
8. Make sure you have a gravity fed water filter such as a Berkey filter.
9. Go to your bookstore and buy a book called Country Wisdom and Know How (not sure on the publisher, I’m too lazy to go and find mine). It’s a large format paperback book. Teaches you all the stuff that you probably never learned as a kid, like how to skin a rabbit, grow corn effectively, barter, etc.

10. Go to your local gun range with your family and friends, learn to shoot. Find a range that has a “CAPS dvd” course if possible.
11. Put your well pumps and refrigerator onto solar power if you can. Three or four solar panels and a few batteries is all you should need. Call your local solar installer, ask them about DC well pumps too.
12. Cut up all your credit and debit cards, stop using banks. If you get a paycheck, just cash it at your local gas station. Always use cash.

13. Setup a network of friends in your area that are “in the know”. Folks that are awake. You know what I mean. Meet with them at least once a month. Decide who will contribute what food, what services, what land, everything. Use your skills/materials and their skills/materials to everyone’s benefit. If and when society really breaks down, you and them will be the leaders in the aftermath. Educate everyone on the above listed items.
Please note that I am not spamming here, or promoting some company. I am just a guy who woke up a couple years ago and have decided to really prepare for what’s coming. I may not have a job much longer so I’ve made it a point in my life to spend as much of my remaining paychecks on this stuff. Hopefully it will never get that bad but it sure doesn’t hurt to prepare for it just in case. It’s a good feeling too knowing that you have all that stuff ready to go. Get healthy, take a martial arts class, kiss your loved ones, help your neighbor paint his house, whatever, just get goin.

Well, I remember way back in 1968, I was sitting in a class room in high school. Some teacher was attempting to teach us the ways of the world and how stuff works. I was looking out of the window at two birds building a nest when I got distracted by the words, Social Security.
Apparently there was this gig government retirement system that all working people made “contributions” to. And for our “contribution” we could expect a small amount of money every month when we were passed our useful service life to the system.
Now, we were just a bunch of kids. I think I was 14 at that time. Well the more the teacher talked the more we could see that it was an unworkable plan. Even simple arithmetic revealed that it was in fact a scam and Ponzi scheme.
Now, at 54 I see the whole thing since 1913 has been a scam. The federal reserve bank, income tax, fiat paper money, and all of the rest of this shit these lying bastard politicians have been spewing.
Is America about to go broke?? What a stupid question! America IS broke, and been broke for a long long time. At last, and I thank God, this rotten house of cards is finally falling.
I hope I live to see all of these criminals brought to justice!

P.S. I got my Social Security card at age 16. It says right across the front, “NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION PURPOSES. At 18 I said the social security number would become a national ID. number, that government and corporations would use to track, and ultimately control our lives.

I am disabled, I paid my dues. I just got my s.s earlyer then 62-65 soo what if I am in my 50’s I paid my own way.
