Iraqi forces, he argued, are flawed yet still capable of defending the country’s government.
“As the old saying goes, ‘guests, like fish, begin to smell after three days.’ Since the signing of the 2009 Security Agreement, we are guests in Iraq, and after six years in Iraq, we now smell bad to the Iraqi nose.”
Is it time, finally, to get out of Iraq for good?
The paper then asked a handful of experts to weigh in on the memo and to assess whether withdrawing U.S. forces by next year is a realistic goal.

THE TROOPS ARE GOING NOWHERE. they’ll be sitting tight till for another 100 yrs- unless the oil runs low first.

Oh yeah, where are the reserve studies to prove it? Not dead end smoke and mirrors bs, reserve studies. Lindsay Williams provides no proof, it’s all unverifiable hear say. First it was Alaska then it was the balkan formation, none of it stands up to scruitany. Just like all the “proof” Alex provides. Some of his claims are so bombastic it’s obvious he’s just pulling your leg. I’ve been through most of those links on the Infowars search engine. They just go around in a circle. One article referencing an other which references another. There’s nothing conclusive, it’s circumstantial at best or delibertly misleading depending on how you want to look at it.

The fireworks over Baghdad aren’t the type of shock and awe the “nwo” had in mind. Do you really think that after fighting Iran then the US to a stand still in gulf 1, that the Iraqis are going to let the US stay in Iraq, tell them what to do and exploit their oil? I seriously doubt it.
Rockets and morters are falling on US bases on a regular basis. Just like they were the british. The british got the hint, the US will to. As the economy tanks, war mongers aren’t going to waltz back into office like they’re use to. A number of them got the boot during the last mid term. Antiwar voters know who pulled the bait and switch last time. They’re going to be less inclined to return these clowns to office as the economy struggles.

The ONLY thing that will cause the US to leave Iraq is financially motivated realization of loss of profits or overpowering opposition from outside empowered insurgents. It will probably be a combination of both, as it was in Vietnam in 1975 as we scooped the last remaining US troops and State Department officials from the roofs of the US embassy.
We have 14 permanent bases to defend and a new US Embassy larger than the Vatican. That is a long-term occupation design, but the US is out of gas and money to maintain it all. This war was NEVER about “making the world safe for democracy” or displacing Saddam as a dictator. It was an outpost occupation (like Vietnam) to protect US/Israeli interests in the middle of Shiite Islamic countries and control oil supply and delivery routes.
Look for a growing alliance between Iran and Russia to fund and inflame insurgent forces that will eventually drive the US occupation out, as they did in Vietnam. Deja VU?
Richard Reply:

The US has no legal authority to be in Iraq. It expired with the temporary SOFA ratification July 30, 2009 when the mandatory deadline in the ratification law passed without the required ratification referendum being held. The SOFA is null and void. The US is in Iraq illeagaly. Not that’s anything new. The invasion was illegal.
The difference this time is that the UN is unlikely to paper over the crime with more resolutions that subvert international law and violate the UN Charter the way they did last time. And the US is going to increasingly be seen as the scofflaw it is.
Vietnam all over again? Maybe. The difference this time is that the US is in a much weaker position economicaly then it was in the 70s. Yes there were war related economic problems then. But I don’t think they’re anywhere near the scale of what the US is going into. My guess is you aint seen nothen yet.
This time around the economy could tank big time. To the point where it has serious implications for the legislative incumbency, who are keeping the wars going, maintaining there grip on power. And along with them their partners in the plutocracy.
I don’t agree with Alex that all members of the plutocracy or banking elite are bad. I think he may have a democracy fascist streak and is miffed that elements of the plutocracy are taking down the economy not to enslave humanity or cull the population but to stop the incessant wars of forced “democratization” that he and others who publically decry them may be closet supporters of. This could account for why he never calls for overhauling the legislature to get rid of the war mongers, when that’s the obvious solution.

In Vietnam you got your arses totally kicked the fukk out by commies. Then conveniently voted in a pres that let you run away. That’s why Obama keeps fudging on bringing the troops out. When you start getting your arses kicked as what is normally the case after a length of time has passed, then Obama will withdraw the troops and everyone will have to listen to the bs.

The temporary, conditional Iraq SOFA ratification expired yesterday from a failure to hold the required referendum or amend the ratification law to provide an extension of time to hold the referendum. The SOFA is null and void. The unlawful US combatants should be confined to base and withdrawn from Iraq as soon as possible.
The Multi National Force Iraq is extinct and has turned into the illegal US Iraq occupation force. All the other members of the coalition of the willing are gone because their authority to be in Iraq expired. The US needs to leave for there to be peace in Iraq.

The war addict electorate is part of the government. They’ve gone from 85% supporting the Iraq war to less than 50%. Not that the US legislature teflon incumbency and partner in crime plutocracy care as long as the incumbency get reelected. Which is no longer looking like such a sure thing as the economy tanks and the wars drag on.
With $2 trillion deficits and tax revenue plunging, somethings got to give. The government will have to start cutting back on spending to keep the economy from imploding and for people to stay or get in office. Spending money on unnecessary war rather than domestic and social programs isn’t going to be a real popular campaign platform in the months and years ahead.

I wonder what would happen if the Iranian government says that they won’t fight the USA or Israel? What if they chose peace instead of war? What if they gave up their nuclear “ambitions” and said they would drop out of OPEC? What would the elites do then to say they need to go to war with Iran?
I know the scenario above would never happen..but it’s interesting how the elites push the notion that killing people is needed to free them from tyranny and otherwise good people believe that nonsense. That’s a good point, it all comes down to the real nwo which is the proliferation of democratic fascism through forced “democratization”. Alex is trimming around the edges to end up with nwo lite rather than laying the ax to the root of the tree of democratic fascism.
The real nwo of democratic fascism consists of the war addict electorate who never saw a war they didn’t like, the US legislature teflon incumbency and the partner in crime plutocracy who take as much war profiteering, market penetration and resource exploitation as they can get.
The incumbency plays the electorate and plutocracy off each other and get life time positions, prestige, immunity from prosecution and fortunes in the process. The brain washed masses and pawn legislators is conspiracy theory nonsense from apologists for the global rampage and killing spree that the US has been on for decades. The electorate know exactly what they’re getting when they pull the lever in their voting machine slaughter booths. The evil plutocrats out to enlave and exploit humanity is only part of the problem used as a distraction to keep people from looking at the big picture.
Crisis driven change is a comming. Unemployment ’s going up and the economy’s going down. How do all you unnecessary war supporters like them apples? People who say they’re against the war and then vote war criminal incumbents back into office knowing full well it’s going to result in more war are going to start realizing that maybe that’s not such a good idea. When it’s their job, house, car, future, retirement etc. on the line. And not tv entertainment watching our guys kick their guys butts.
It’s time for change people and that change is peace, prosperity and good government. Things we’ve been sorely lacking for a long time.

Maybe just a CIA front to guide people away from Communism. Which has always been the number one fighter against Imperial warmongering elites. But maybe Alex just doesn’t understand Communism fully.
He needs to imagine a nation that has broken free from the NWO by revolution. Now he needs to imagine all of the false history, lies about it’s leaders, staged real and false famines caused by the NWO. And all of the many other things the NWO elites have been trying to do to Communist countries for decades. Imagine Alex Jones as a revolutionary leading the American people in a new realm of freedom and how much lies and bs would be written about him. Just like the NWO wrote about Mao in the past. It’s surprising Alex does not have the foresight to figure that out yet. I’m hoping he will one day. But until that time it’s possible he is a CIA operation for siphoning away disillusioned capitalist citizens from the Imperial slave machine.
Here’s hoping..
Yes there are some nasty things about Communism, but they are caused by it being the only way to truelly fight the NWO. If you study and understand it, it all fits into place. Both sides have their reasons and that’s just how it is. They both do what they need to do.

The NWO is wriggling and shaking around trying to avoid it’s upcoming culling. For a while they made people happy, and as evil as they where, they looked after the population that was closest too them, even though they soft killed them constantly to ensure they couldn’t prosper. If they where not so greedy, we would have been happy to accept them as leaders. But they are too greedy and too evil.

The royals are shape shifting reptoid cannibals? Excuse me, I’m not shallow and I have problem with Mr. Iyke’s version of reality, or haven’t you read his books?

The Army getting out of Iraq would be like GM closeing North American operations, or somthing like that.

If energy was free we would have new and improved ways to divide and conquer. The solution lies in the mind of each individual. You are not the only one on the planet. Your integrity is more important than your body. The ethical route is not necessarily the most comfortable. The evil ones are a minority. A tiny minority. We are a vast majority. One of the big secrets they keep under wraps. If we (the well intended) joined together we could crush them (the evil ones) in a calm relaxed flick of our smallest digit. I believe the actual percentage is 40 to 1.

I’ve heard it all before, people don’t turn off their conscience when they turn on the boob tube, go to a movie or sit down in a class room. The golden rule is pretty simple, people know right from wrong. All this demonization of the elite by apologists for the voters and legislators is just playing a huge game of blame shifting.
Is there room for improvement in our education and society? Of course, but it doesn’t exonerate voters and legislators of their crimes.

The US invaded Iraq, killed millions of people, and spent trillions of dollars all because of WMD’s. That was a lie. Other than what the US sold Iraq there were no WMD’s in Iraq. It was a staged and conspired lie.
The US invaded Afghanistan, killed millions of people, and spent trillions of dollars all because 4 commercial planes crashed on 9-11. That was a lie. There were no commercial planes on 9-11. It exposes the US military, government, and military owned US media to charges of mass murder. 9-11 was a staged and conspired lie.
The US invaded Iran………..

The SOFA is unratified, null and void. The temporary ratification expired July 30, 2009. Because the ratification law contained a mandatory dead line that wasn’t met. And because the ratification law was never amended to provide an extension of time to hold the required ratification referendum. The US is once again in Iraq without legal authority and should leave.
The war on terror is a fabrication to be used as a catalyst for illegal US wars of conquest and to take away rights and freedoms in the US by the control freak teflon incumbency.
August 2nd, 2009 at 8:03 am
Is it time for US to leave Iraq altogether?
Nah. Of course not. The makers of bombs and ammo and other military stuff could use more profits in order to get them through the recession and pay their employees. Another 5 or 6 years should be just fine.
The Revolution has begun. Patriots are taking over America!
PlutoPorkPie Reply:

Doesn’t look like it. Not yet anyway. Is a convenient situation though. If N. America totally falls on it’s face with this imperialist expansion, it can just have a patriot revolution and then everyone will just blame the elites and the greedy bankers. HAHA yea right you wish.
August 2nd, 2009 at 10:07 am
The SOFA is gone. The US is trying to maintain it’s presence in Iraq using an agreement that doesn’t exist anymore. The temporary agreement ratification expired July 30, 2009. The SOFA is null and void. The mandatory deadline passed without the required ratification referendum being held as stipulated in articles 2 and 3 of the ratification law.
The US has no legal authority to be in Iraq. US forces should be confined to base and withdrawn from Iraq as soon as possible.
PlutoPorkPie Reply:
August 3rd, 2009 at 9:21 am
It never had legal authority anyway.
Richad Reply:

Your point is well taken. The UN authority was after an illegal invasion and in violation of international law and the UN Charter. The bilateral authority, which just expired, was with a US proxy, which makes it of questionable legitimacy, due to coersion and duress. Now even that’s gone, it’s time to leave.
August 2nd, 2009 at 10:38 am
As soon as U.S. troops are withdrawn from Iraq, the new Iraqi democracy will be immediately overthrown by some militant Islamic group. Probably the day after U.S. troops leave. There is no such thing as democracy in the middle-east.
Richard Reply:

Maybe they’ll get a well run non democratic government that doesn’t wear Washington shoe polish on their tounges, provides a faster rate of economic growth, and a better quality of life, human and civil rights than they’ld get with a US installed “democracy”. In fact maybe the current government will say that the war started with an illegal invasion and ended with an illegal occupation and all the occupation era agreements are invalid and we’re going to do it our way.

And if you americans want to do something constructive. How about paying off the Kuwait war reparations to get Iraq out of chapter 7 as partial reparations for what’s been done to Iraq?

thats the point, so you think that america is providing aid to all its puppet kings so they can get democracy:)) please, the elite who control America wants islam to rule the middle east, total distruction of the middle east!
Richard Reply:

The elite don’t rule america, they keep the incumbency in office and flush with graff. The incumbency play the plutocracy and electorate off against each other to proliferate democratic fascism, that’s the real nwo. Not this banker clap trap Alex is always ranting about. Their part of the problem, but the bigger part is the incumbency of evil and their attack dog, war addict, attack voters.
The fed’s a front for the teflon incumbency and partner in crime plutocracy to do as they please and provide the capitol building butchers a fig leaf of plausable deniability for blame shifting purposes to play a shell game with the electorate. And as long as the electorate ae fat and happy they don’t care who gets slaughtered in the process.
The dictators are kept in office for their own self destruction and eventual forced “democratization”. All you have to do is read offical US foreign policy statements. They come right out and tell you that their going to violate interntional law and the UN Charter to carry out global regime change to install US proxys subservient to Washington.
August 2nd, 2009 at 11:54 am
What a stupid question. we should not be there in the first place. Don’t ever make the mistake of thinking that US troops are there for the benefit of the Iraqi people.

FEAR: Too many otherwise good, patriotic American’s are frozen with fear over current events. They are not going to make any preparations unless we get them out of the fear/freeze zone. If you know someone like this, I urge you to help them through it and find comfort in confronting and controlling their fears. It’s not going to get any easier. Better to help them through the psychological part of this now. There is no substitute for the support of good friends and family. However, if time and distance are an issue, I found a program that works. Visit my blog. God’s speed.

I doubt that Israel would allow the USA to pull out of Iraq. The oil is going …where? Give you one guess and it ain’t US.
As for Iraq, who will protect them from the CIA after our slow murdered troops come home to die of DU? Why are you not out on general strikes in the streets banging pots and getting into faces, America?
As a vet ( 1968-1976 ) I want some “support our troops” ’cause I’m getting pissed off at the cowardess and sloth I’ve seen everywhere and it’s disgusting.
August 8th, 2009 at 4:04 pm
I’m in the army and am currently deployed in Iraq. I’ve seen first hand that the Iraqi’s are capable of running their country, I know the best thing we could do is come home now, get our troops out of harms way. There is way to much going on at home, and we are needed there.
