Border Patrol agents in south Texas have captured “at least 10 ISIS fighters,” a member of the US House of Representatives revealed to Fox News.
“They are going to be bombing American cities coming across from Mexico,” US Rep. Duncan Hunter told “On the Record” with Greta Van Susteren yesterday. “At least ten ISIS fighters have been caught coming across the Mexican border in Texas,” Hunter stated.
Duncan noted that he learned of the terrorist group’s attempt to enter the US from sources within the US Border Patrol.
“And the border patrol just let’s ISIS members come across the border?” asked Van Susteren.
“No. They caught them at the border,” elaborated Duncan. “Therefore, we know that ISIS is coming across the border. If they catch five or ten of them, you know that there are going to be dozens more that did not get caught by the border patrol. That’s how you know. That’s where we are at risk here, is from ISIS and radical Islamists coming across the border. Once again, they don’t have a navy, air force, nuclear weapons. The only way that Americans are going to be harmed by radical Islam — Chairman Dempsey said the same thing. He said that’s where the major threat is here, that’s how these guy guys are going to infiltrate through America and harm Americans.”
As the immigration crisis accelerated over the summer, and as violence from the Islamic State terrorist group grew overseas, it was speculated that the radicalized Islamic jihadists supposedly intent on harming America would finally be able to do so by exploiting lax border enforcement.
The fact that the southern border was essentially wide open was further illustrated by Infowars reporter Joe Biggs on multiple occasions, and by Project Veritas founder James O’Keefe, who crossed the southern border dressed as Osama bin Laden, encountering no resistance whatsoever.
Last month, government watchdog group Judicial Watch also released a report citing high-level inside sources which said an ISIS attack on US soil was “imminent” and “coming very soon.”
“An attack is so imminent that the commanding general at Ft. Bliss, the U.S. Army post in El Paso, is being briefed, another source confirms,” Judicial Watch reported in late August. “The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) did not respond to multiple inquiries from Judicial Watch, both telephonic and in writing, about this information.”
Federal officialdom responded that they were unaware of any threats along the border.
“There is no credible intelligence to suggest that there is an active plot by ISIL to attempt to cross the southern border,” a Homeland Security official declared in a statement obtained by The New York Times.
Rep. Duncan went on to suggest that the best way to “protect Americans from ISIS” would be to secure the southern border.
“[T]he only way that ISIS is going to harm Americans is by coming in through the southern border, which they already have,” Duncan said.
