Judge toughens Madoff’s home detention rules

NEW YORK – Facing a growing chorus of angry investors, disgraced financier Bernard Madoff lost his right to leave his home Friday and was ordered to hire private around-the-clock security guards to protect him. U.S. Magistrate Judge Theodore H. Katz approved the revised bail conditions after prosecutors sent a letter requesting them earlier in the day. The letter, signed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Marc O. Litt, did not explain why the bail conditions needed to be tightened.
Madoff, 70, a former Nasdaq stock market chairman, has become one of the most vilified people in America since word broke last week that he allegedly plundered $50 billion from investors.
The changes eliminated a curfew established this week that allowed Madoff to leave his Manhattan apartment during the day. Now, he will be confined to his apartment at all times, except for court appearances.
The order calls for Madoff’s wife to pay for a security firm to provide 24-hour video monitoring of Madoff’s apartment doors. It also requires communications devices and services enabling the firm to send a direct signal from an observation post to the FBI if there is an “appearance of harm or flight.”
“The security firm will provide additional guards available on request if necessary to prevent harm or flight,” the order said.
Madoff’s lawyer, Ira Lee Sorkin, said the order “speaks for itself.”

Don’t expect any legal reprimand for this Ponzi aka pyramid scheme. The reality is that every insurance company worldwide is structured on the same scheme; a constant stream of new customers to pay for current claims. Anyone with basic math skills can figure that out. We can’t have all the insurance companies go out of business now can we?

We all should pat attention to the governments responce to this situation. In the future, when all of the insuance scammes have been called to account. ( Madoff forced no one to give him money.) And of course, the “Social Secuity Administration”. And by the by, all of the criminals in the federal government, the executive and legislateve. Yes when the time comes. They must be treated also as they treat Mr. Madoff. For they are way more guilty than Maoff or any one ells who ever ran a scam on this nation. Trillions and trillions, they have stolen. Theiving bastards!
They will dig ditches and harvest crops in a labore camp untill they pay back every cent they ever stole, or untill they drop dead. Which ever comes first.

I know I am going out on a limb here but what if many of the charities and monies that are said to have been stolen have just been funneled off shore somewhere for those who say they have lost everything.
I am not saying that everyone is getting the benefit of taking these funds and saying you lost everything but it is my thinking that many are double dipping here. This man had to be working for the Gov. to get away with stealing 50 billion dollars.
Come on people, wake up and think about this for a moment. You steal 50 billion dollars and trust me when I say the Gov. had to of known about this.

I dont get it if a regular guy stole $50 billion he would be in a federal jail locked in a cell 23 hours a day. But a person who is considered rich and prestine, Gets Home arrest in luxuray. Isnt the law sapose to be equal in eyes of man. It seems Classes have been seperated since the roman times and it is still going on. I guess humanity will never equal up until it eradicates classes and that would be impossible.
