They threatened law enforcement officials and accumulated weapons and bombs. They spoke frequently with news reporters and nearly daily on a radio show about an apocalyptic confrontation and possible revenge killings.
But the Browns were arrested bloodlessly by an undercover team of U.S. marshals who won their trust and brought them pizza.
Today, jury selection begins in a trial for 11 felonies the Browns are accused of committing during their standoff. If found guilty, they face virtual life sentences for their crimes.

The Big Three pizza chains are now charging $2 or more for “delivery” but they keep every dime of it and screw their delivery drivers out of two bucks on every delivery. At the same time they are classifying their drivers as “tipped employees” to get away with paying them less than minimum wage (in states that allow the practice.) What a joke.

Considering the fact that the initial issue, the illegal income tax, is the root cause for what transpired afterwards. But in the full article this statement pretty much says it all; don’t let the public know the truth about the income tax.

Very good point. Not everyone working within the government is evil, most are probably decent people. It’s those high in power making deals with the elite that are the real problem. They’ve gotten their tentacles into every area of our government and rule it completely. You only need a few well placed individuals to rule over a society of millions. They are not tax dodgers, moron! There is no written law that says you are legally responsible to pay income tax from your labor. A direct tax was against the Constitution until the Federal Reserve System had the 16th AMENDMENT changed. from saying “all direct taxes shall be proportionate to the consensus of the population” to “taxes shall be collect from any income source derived”. How ironic that there was never a tax on labor (the forefathers swore to never tax the peoples income), until 1913 after the Federal Reserve System took over controlling the currency. Coincidence?
If it is so plain and simple, then show every citizen the document that says you have to pay income taxes on your labor! And explain what definition INCOME has.
It used to be spelled out completely as a profit from a sale or corporate gains. Now, after they changed the 16th Amendment, it does not explain what income is, just that they can tax any income??? Income isn’t profit, it is an agreed exchange of money for your time, not a profit!

No one has been paid at law because no money exists in circulation today or since 1933. It is possible one could construe 1964 which was the final minting of silver coin.
But my point is debt has only been discharged with the use of Federal Reserve Notes not paid. So the Brown’s were never paid for their services. If you have never been paid you could not possibly have profits. How can a tax be levied on something you didnt receive?
Follow the money it all goes right to the door of the Federal Reserve and it’s collection agency the IRS.

do you even know where your income tax goes? obviously not. income tax is not only an un-apportioned tax, in that it does not go into a kitty and then benefit the public good. it is also based on legislation that was written by bankers not lawmakers, and passed under the false pretense of a created instability in the market place of the day. almost 100% of the ILLEGAL income tax we all pay goes into the pockets of the members of the federal reserve as interest on the money they print. it is illegal, unconstitutional, and should be exposed and done away with. stop playing for their team dumb-ass.

What they were doing is being STUPID by calling the Judge and D.A. and Threatening their lives! In case you aren’t aware, in most States the law is against this type of behavior!

It makes people afraid of death, and thus less likely to fight for freedom for fear of death. The fear of Hell MAKES PEOPLE EASIER TO CONTROL! Besides, you REALLY believe that an OMNIBENEVOLENT God would let his Creations suffer eternally ALL B/C they broke one rule and didn’t say “sorry”? Come on, people, we’re smarter than THAT, aren’t we?
I personally think Alex Jones is smart enough to realize what I am saying is Truth. He just doesn’t want to go there b/c of all the confusion and division it would cause within the movement. In Martin Luther King’s private moments, he would note the contradictions of MAN’S “Christianity” with the True Sprituality of the Lord. But he too realized that most people were not ready for this Truth, so it would be better to go along with Religion to attain that goal of equal rights for Black men and woman.

Ed said it was all the Jesuits running the show, I happen to disagree with him as I see it being the British Financial Empire, and the Jesuits are one facet of that empire used to control the Vatican, but regardless of my opinions on the matter people should investigate the Jesuit involvement in the new world order, the infiltration of American protestant churches, the education institutions, etc. I’m sure you’ll find a great many interesting things as I have through my own studies on the matter. You can do a search on YouTube or Google Video to see the clips where Ed states it’s the Jesuits. I know Ed has had plenty of time to educate himself even further on the issues, and I hope he’s able to get a decent jury who might do the right thing in his case. Ed doesn’t deserve to be put in prison for not paying terrorists money he does not owe. It would also be good to see the terrorists exposed for what they truly are, British agents.

This trial is a most precise reason to never pass on performing Jury Duty.

simple request..on You Tube there is video of Tom Crier, a lawyer we defeated the IRS at trial by asking them in court to produce the stature he had been accused of violating…the Government was not able to produce the statute.

Yah, but they don’t allow the Constitution in federal court(s); and they very conveniently limit the defense of defendants so they can’t ask questions or make points that prove that there is no law under which they can be lawfully convicted, and/or proving the state’s case is so full of holes that one could at least fly a space shuttle through them, etc. They also stack the juries with “false ‘patriots’ who ignorantly and blindly do exactly what the “indict ham sandwiches” prosecution and judge(s) tell them to do, rather than exercising their rights and duties to carry out “jury nullification”.
How could Ed and Elaine Brown ever get a true fair trial in this kind system? Answer: They can’t! They didn’t get a fair trial in the tax case, the jury is also going to be stacked against them in the latest case, and they are not going to get a fair trial, except only the “appearance” of one, this time around either.
Neither will the higher courts overturn on appeal. Unless they’re miraculously released, they are going to spend the rest of their lives in federal prison(s), as completely unconstitutional and unjust as that is.

This is a sad case of a couple of true constitutionalists, just defending their belief that the tax system is corrupt, and refusing to follow the illegal system that is in place, which is ruled by the iron fist of Federal Government agents. Unfortunately they were backed up against a wall and held on to their last hope, right to bear and use arms against a true threat. Now their actions will end up costing them more. Most of us agree that the income tax system and the IRS are illegal.
Aaron Russo exposed this fact in his brilliant video. Though Ed and Elaine were fundamentally right in their rejection of an unjust tax, their methods left them open to being sanctioned, then pilloried by the powers that be. I just hope that the concept of “jury nullification” is applied in this instant case, and the Browns are set free

I found it truly disgusting how Alex Jones abandoned Ed and Elaine Brown just because they didn’t follow his exact instructions in how to procede with their fight against the Federal Government!!! He could have continued to support the principles of their fight even though they didn’t follow his methods of protest. He could have continued to update the situation of Ed and Elaine Brown to his listeners who were and are very interested in their plight because we’re all in the same boat.
He just abandoned them and stopped talking about them. How about a “money bomb” fund raiser for their defense costs? It would only cost Alex Jones 10 minutes to promote a donation hotline for raising funds for the Browns.
I think Alex made a mistake in how he handled this situation.
His lack of respect for a recently deceased person (Michael Jackson) was appalling. You don’t have to like Michael Jackson or how he looked or his music, but you can at least show a little respect for somebody who died. Why didn’t he attack him when he was still alive? Kind of cowardly, now that Michael can’t even respond. Michael had problems like everybody else does, but at least he tried to do a lot of good with his music, entertaining people and spreading a message of love and healing in many of his songs. Alex Jones plays Jimmy Hendrix songs on his radio programme and Jimmy Hendrix died of a drug overdose. Why doesn’t Alex attack Hendrix too??

Keeping his listeners updated with the Ed and Elaine Brown’s case could in no way have ever been viewed as “aiding and abetting”. If that was the case, CNN could be prosecuted for terrorism by reporting about Hamas and Hezbollah.
As far as Michael Jackson is concerned; there is no proof that he engaged in any inapropriate behaviour with children. It is all utter rubbish and lies and only attempts by evil people to take some of his money with law suits. You can save this accusation for the wonderful people who attend the Bohemian Grove!!

Whether or not you think income tax is illegal, regardless of “bombs”, irrespective of threats made, they were in fear of the government. Now I can yell attempted murder, terrorist threats or any other number of things after I push someone mentally in to committing these acts and that can happen. You don’t have to force people to pay taxes, they should be voluntary. If the road in front of your house looked like crap then it would be up to the community to get together and raise the money for a new road. Also major highways could be made and maintained by private companies as toll roads. This way the money gets spent on things that the country really needs instead of endless wars and wasteful organizations like Medicare. The private sector will always out perform the government because it has competition hanging over its’ head if it doesn’t produce. Last if we had a money system built on gold like it was meant to be the government couldn’t inflate the money and still your wealth out from under you by devaluing everything you own just like what happens in third world countries. Third world countries are the way they are due to corruption not from lack of taxes. This may seem like an impossibility form our perspective because we have already lost so much of the wealth that made us great, but if you had no taxes and no inflation you we be making far more money then you are now at least when it comes to purchasing power.

Over 54% of our Federal Government’s budget is spent on the Military of which over $200 billion are just for Iraq & Afghanistan. Approximately 30% is spent on Social/Welfare programs. That leaves just 16% of our tax dollars for general operating expenses (including paying politicians) and infrastructure type projects like you are talking about. Most of your roads, water etc are local or state run endeavors which are funded primarily by local and state taxes.

Sounds absurd now but give it 100 years and you will say “it is the system we live in.” It is wrong to force people against their will as long as there is no threat to property or life. Why can’t the government ask them for their money if they need help with the budget? I can guarantee that if that was the case the government would be fare more benevolent than it is today because people would give them the bird from time to time when legislation like cap and trade comes up.

i’m from new hampshire i know these people not by face by name. i thought new hampshire was the live free or die state, but i guess i was wrong i guess you need to pay federal taxes to get those rights. a federal income tax that most new hampshire citizens disagree with thats why we dont have a state income tax

Try this one. Your home is foreclosed. The bank sells your home for less than you owed on it. The bank forgives you the difference. Sounds GREAT right? The bank then sends you and the IRS a form 1099-A which essentially says that the amount that you were forgiven is taxable income to you. The IRS then comes after you for the taxes on that amount. You can’t pay it so you go to Federal Tax Debtor’s Prison.

Injustice in its greatest form will be had when religious decree is forcefully applied to the Brown family by the woefully ignorant “law of man” cult. It is in my opinion that a form of religion has been respected by our federal government, in direct violation of the First Amendment.

I can imagine what kind of people will make it on to this jury. Of course, all they need is one, with the courage to say “not guilty”. Considering past trials I have read about and watched. I do not hold much hope for jury nullification.

What is the militia? The term “militia” consists of two parts: the organized militia and the unorganized militia. The mission and purpose of the militia have not changed. What has changed is the status of the organized militia.
