Justice Department Tries to Stop Lawsuit to Return Geronimo’s Remains Held at Skull and Bones

Geronimo’s relatives say some body parts were stolen almost 100 years ago by members of a society linked to Yale University to keep in their clubhouse.
The relatives want to rebury the warrior, who died in 1909, near his birthplace in New Mexico.
But the justice department has asked a federal judge to dismiss their lawsuit.
The society, known as Skull and Bones, is alleged to have stolen some of Geronimo’s remains from a burial plot in Oklahoma in 1918.

Well, I guess the Justice Department’s attempts to block the case indicate it’s not a rumor, after all. Why would they care if it was just a rumor? Also, what I find more interesting is why is the U.S. Department of Justice so interested in a lawsuit filed against Skull & Bones? Couldn’t possibly have anything to do with the fact that many of the people in the Justice Department, as well as the government as a whole, are Bonesmen, hmmm?

are you such a skilled forensic anthropologist that you can identify any historical figures facial features by looking at a grainy black and white photo of a skull at group photo distances?
i don’t mean to call you out like this but that is total conjecture and not useful in any legitimate discussion or debate.
i have no doubts that groups like the Bones Boys not only obviously exist but that they are corrupt and powerful and sadistic enough to do something like steal a native american icon’s skull from it’s burial site, but at the end of the day i nor you have proof enough to say it’s total fact, especially just by looking at their photos.

Whoa…You’re really calling me out brother. It doesn’t take an expert to see the obvious resemblance to Geronimo. It’s a fact that his grave was robbed, even the Apache can tell it is the skull of Geronimo. It’s not total conjecture at all and what is or isn’t useful really isn’t dependent on your opinion. Don’t apologize for calling me out (though I wouldn’t say you did any such thing) you can say whatever the hell you like as long as it isn’t loaded with obscenities and sexually explicit language.
I agree that I cannot say with 100% surety that the skull they have is Geronimo’s but I’d be willing to throw down a grand that it is. We don’t always need to be 100% sure of everything. If we only acted when we were positively sure of something most of our lives would be filled with inaction and doubt. The Apache know it is their ancestor and that’s good enough for me. Those Indians have a strange way of knowing about these types of things. I’ve seen it first hand many times.

I’m from New Mexico and it was on the Albuquerque Journals front page so I can vouge that the story does have credability and I’v heard from native friends of mine that the story about prescott bush stealing his bones is true, and it was even in the story in the paper that he was the suspect.

Papa Bush’s daddy bragged about raiding the indian burial site of Geronimo to dig up the bones. This is a fact and also constitutes probable cause. Whether or not these are the remains of Geronimo is irrelevant, they are the remains of someone. How would you feel if they were your remains being used in some satanic ritual of masterbation in coffins. Geronimo died a POW held in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma and was subsequently buried there. Nazi Prescott Bush is rumored to have stolen some of Geronimo’s remains from Ft. Sill. My guess is the DOJ is taking the lead to have the case dismissed so Yale can avoid answering the complaint. The federal government has possession of the remains, thus the suit was brought to compel the Army and Skull & Bones to return the remains in each of its possession.

The person most likely for the theft of Geronimo’s bones was Prescott Bush, father of former President George Herbert Walker Bush. Take that into account, plus the fact that many in the highest ranks of the DOJ are bonesmen, as well, and it becomes quite clear what DOJ’s motives are. They are nothing more than an enforcement arm of the fascist government; i.e., body guards to those in power. All bonesmen are sworn by oath to protect and promote each other’s interests for life.

Geronimo was a P.O.W. in Oklahoma after first being shipped all the way to Florida before being held to the end of his days at Fort Sill. He was not allowed to travel to his homeland out of fear he might rise again among his people. He was, however, given permission to work in Wild West Shows part of the year, much like Sitting Bull, but was still considered a prisoner even though the showmen and circus people treated him with more respect than the army did. He made a little extra money during those latter years off his reputation and legendary exploits. I grew up near the old 101 Ranch where he was reported to have “shot his last buffalo” from the running board of a Studebaker. A sad absurd re-enactment since in real life the Apaches did not live in buffalo country. That was also where the other famous shot of “Geronimo’s Cadillac” was taken which was not actually a Cadillac. Unfortunatelly, as much as he tried to keep his pride and dignity alive he was feared and ridiculed by our immigrant population to the end. The probable desecration of his grave and the subsequent ritualizing fraternity pranks in his name are a testimony to the continued propagation of the Old West mythology that grew out of the dime novels and Wild West Shows early in the 20th Century.
Whether his body has been dispersed by vandals or not should be dealt with to find out the truth about our legendary past that thrived on many falsehoods like all history written only by the alleged victors.

I have always thought that it is acrime to desecrate a grave by removing the body or parts thereof. It seems to me that the body parts should not only be returned but that criminal charges should be filed against the organization for having the parts.
