Editor’s note: Now that Karl Rove has thumbed his nose at a congressional subpoena, it is time to charge him with contempt for obstructing the work of a House Judiciary subcommittee. On his return from "vacation," he needs to be immediately arrested, slapped in handcuffs, paraded before the media in an orange jumpsuit like any common criminal, and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Of course, this will not happen because Congress is filled with spineless sell-outs. Once again, Karl Rove and the neocons get away with murder — literally, the murder of over a million Iraqis and the destruction of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Karl Rove was scheduled to testify before the House Judiciary Committee yesterday. He didn’t show. Not only that, the Committee was told that Rove had left the country on a "long scheduled" trip.

Your comment #1 about the flouridation water is touching. I just went to your place for the petition and it seems as though it is legitimate. Even so, personally I refuse to become a member of a place just to sign a petition. Also, there is a check mark indicating that you agree with the place’s terms of service. I do not like places that make it hard to find that page. All such places that have such a demand should have that page link readily available and for some reason your “Care2″ place does not. Then once I found it, I feel that the requirements that the company demands for just signing a petition is too meddling. Our premise here in this forum is to fight against all the personal information being demanded of us and as long as I personally am still somewhat free not to give up my life’s (and body) privacy to just any place that just wants it, even if I were/am a public figure, I must take this little bit of self sufficiency into my own hands and bow out of your good intentioned idea.
It is also the first place that ever gave the opportunity to upload one’s picture for just supposedly signing a petition. Therefore it indicated to me that all it wants is as much information from you as it can get. That then gave me second thoughts as to how much information is shared with the petition creator of whom I would think needs that personal information to send the petition off to begin with. Since I was not a member at the moment, I decided to see if it would accept mine. I was surprised to see that it did. That means to me that even if I did not become a member, the place now has on its record what I look like since I never finished filling out the paperwork.
That is my story. It is not to detract from your goal. I see people have been signing the petition and I do hope that you just what you are attempting do as you explain it. You can believe that I am one person who believes in your cause. So at least here, you have my “vote”.

Hm. Once we find out what “case history” this is under, anyone of us who ever is commanded to show up at a court case of any type could use this as a court case precedent. Since this is not the first case where someone did not show up at a Congressional hearing demand in about a year, no less, then the precedent has already been proven to be set. That is what goes on in court cases. Court precedents are used all the time. They are called “Case Law”. In this case, the “law” of precdence has been set by non compliance which warranted a no-punishment result. As Alex Jones would say, if you do not believe me, check it out for yourself. This is part of any court case. That would also mean that you most likely would be found guilty, but it gives you cause for appeal all the way up to the federal court.

The reason the executive branch will have to answer to congress is because that is how our country was founded, on checks and balances so that no one branch no group has more control than the other, but since the executive branch pretty much as has been appointing who serves life terms in the judical branch for how long now?? then that leaves only the legislative branch that does not fall in step with them so hence the new law to protect them from any dissenters in the legislative branch. It is starting to appear that if anyone has (had) anything to do with the Bush/Cheney cabal, and is in someway going to ‘testify’ – even in church, I’d suppose – then they either ‘disappear’, ‘commit suicide’, or go on a ‘long scheduled vacation’.

The United States, and the rest of the world, has suffered from the incompetence, the lies, and the outright law-breaking of the Bush/Cheney cabal for what seems like a life-time.
The question still remains as to why the citizens of the U.S. have not put a stop to it? Why have the citizens of the U.S. allowed the president – and his ‘gangsters’ – to get away with so many crimes? Is it because of ignorance? Is it because of fear? Or is it because of some false belief that things will start to get better?
To answer the ‘ignorance’ question: If one were to do a very serious – and unbiased study on the American educational system they would discover not only government control, but, sadly, they would discover a severe deficit in the teaching of actual knowledge. Far too many children are unaware of what the ‘constitution and Bill of Rights’ are, let alone the actual power that is given to the citizens to know that our current government officials and politicians need to be arrested – and can be arrested – for numerous crimes against our nation.
But, with media-manipulation and the subversion of true education, most Americans are unaware of even thier basic rights.
‘Fear’: Or rathe ‘false-fear’ – to create a situation that implants a ’sense’ of fear when and where no valid reason exists to support such fear. A technique used to encourage to masses to make decisions based on ‘fear’ rather than ‘reason’.
Enough said.
‘Things will get better’: This belief is almost prophetic in the sense that ‘things will get better’ only after untold millions have died and the governments of the world have been usurped and replace by people whom actually care and are law-abiding.
However, things are not going to get better anytime in the near future. ‘Wars and rumors of war’ abound! The biggest, strongest government are having thier ‘pissing-contest’ and the losers are going to be the citizens of the world.
Oh, I almost forgot – Carl Rove…well, since he decided to ’shit’ on the law(s) of the United States I believe that it would only be the right thing to do to sieze all of his assets, freeze his bank accounts, and terrorize his family until he returns and faces – like a man – any and all charges against him. Then, he should still be made to testify – to the truth – before the H.J.C. on pain of death (because he is a traitor to his nation). And if it just so happens that the ‘truth’ about the Bush/Cheney cabal come out, well, then, so be it. I guess we’ll just have to go from there.

One of the bloggers on this site the other day suggested that we should I.D. these people, (phone #, addresses ,where they go etc.) for there own protection as patriotic Americans after all we owe it to them its the least we could do for our loving leaders.
