Lawsuit Attempts to Blame Saudi Arabia for September 11 Attacks

A small band of lawyers is determined to pin the blame for the September 11, 2001, attacks on Saudi Arabia. The “Cozen O’Connor law firm has filed an 812-page lawsuit on behalf of U.S. and global insurance companies alleging that Saudi Arabia and Saudi-backed Islamist charities nurtured and financed al-Qaeda, the author of those deadly attacks,” reports the Philadelphia Inquirer and Philadelphia Daily News site, Philly.com. “Among the companies represented in the lawsuit are Chubb, Ace, Allstate, One Beacon, and nearly three dozen other insurers.” At the heart of the massive lawsuit, seeking to collect $5 billion in damages, is the assertion that senior Saudi officials and members of the royal family or their representatives served as executives or board members of charities suspected of financing al-Qaeda operations, activity ignored by the 9/11 white wash commission.

No doubt the commission overlooked such connections. But they also overlooked the fact al-Qaeda’s predecessor, the mujahideen, was created by the CIA and Pakistan’s ISI and Osama bin Laden, through ISI created Maktab al-Khidamar, solicited millions of dollars from wealthy Saudi citizens. “In 1988, with U.S. knowledge, bin Laden created Al Qaeda (The Base): a conglomerate of quasi independent Islamic terrorist cells spread across at least 26 countries,” writes Indian journalist Rahul Bhedi, a fact that did not figure in the final white wash report.
In fact, the CIA led the effort to collect charity money to fund al-Qaeda. “On American soil, the CIA used Muslim charities and mosque communities as fronts for recruitment of fighters in their secret war against the USSR,” Giles Foden wrote for the Guardian on September 15, 2001, citing research by author John Cooley (Unholy Wars: Afghanistan, America and International Terrorism). “In Unholy Wars, Cooley provides convincing evidence that Arab businessman and arms merchant Adnan Kashoggi had dealings with bin Laden’s father, receiving a $50,000 cheque from him. Oil broker Roy Furmark, Cooley says, provided a link between his CIA friend Casey and Kashoggi, introducing the latter to Manuchehr Ghorbanifar,” the notorious Iranian middleman who became a central figure in the arms for hostages and funds for Contras deals with Iran.
Maktab al-Khidamar, or simply MAK, “was a front for Pakistan’s CIA, the Inter-Service Intelligence Directorate. The ISI was the first recipient of the vast bulk of CIA and Saudi Arabian covert assistance for the Afghan contras. Bin Laden was one of three people who ran MAK,” writes Norm Dixon.
Of course, all of this is forbidden history, or at least has found its way to the memory hole. Now we are told “wealthy individuals” from Saudi Arabia are “sending millions of dollars to al Qaeda,” despite promises not to, according to Brian Ross of ABC News. “When the evidence is clear that these individuals have funded terrorist organizations, and knowingly done so, then that should be prosecuted and treated as real terrorism because it is,” declares Stuart Levey, the under secretary of the Treasury in charge of tracking terror financing. Not a word here about the fact this pipeline of cash siphoned off to al-Qaeda was established by the CIA and in fact the Saudis are simply doing what they have done all along, initially with the blessing of the CIA and the ISI.

As an example of the CIA working through Islamic charities, consider the case of the Global Relief Foundation (GRF), based in Illinois. In October 2002, the U.S. Treasury Department designated GFR as a terrorist-financing entity linked to al-Qaeda. The U.S. government claims GRF’s leadership had previously worked with MAK, the CIA-ISI created organization and the precursor to al-Qaeda, noted above. GFR was heavily involved in areas where the CIA conducted operations of mutual interest, including Afghanistan, Bosnia, Chechnya, as well as Kosovo.
It is interesting to note that a Muslim World League associated NGO, the International Islamic Relief Organization, mentioned as one of the culprits in the Cozen lawsuit, has offices in Zagreb, Sarajevo, Split, Ljubljana, and Tuzla, all located in areas of CIA and GFR mutual interest. Moreover, the al-Haramain Foundation, also mentioned in the lawsuit, had a rather suspicious association with the late Omar al-Faruq, said to have served as the primary liaison between al-Qaeda and Islamic terrorists in Asia. As it turns out, al-Faruq was recruited by the CIA to penetrate Muslim charity organizations, according to A.C. Manulang, the former State Intelligence Coordinating Board chief of Indonesia. Omar had a habit of breaking out of prison, including the notorious U.S. military prison at Bagram, and was supposedly killed by British troops operating in the Iraqi city of Basra. Dead men tell no tales.
But it gets even more curious. Khalid bin Mahfouz, allegedly listed on the “Golden Chain” of al-Qaeda financers discovered at the Bosnian office of the Benevolence International Foundation in 2002 — the foundation also figures prominently in the Cozen lawsuit — backed George W. Bush’s first failed oil company, Arbusto. “Mahfouz is perhaps best known for being a principal shareholder and director of BCCI, a criminal enterprise exploited by the CIA during the 1970s and 1980s for numerous covert operations, including the financing of the anti-Soviet Afghan jihad” (see Boston-area convicts linked to CIA nexus).
In short, the fingerprints of American intelligence and the Bush crime family — known for its close association with corrupt Saudis, including Bandar bin Sultan, fondly called Bandar bin Bush — are all over the underside of this multi-billion dollar lawsuit.
But don’t expect this to come out during the trial. “The showing that the plaintiffs purport to make is complete and utter garbage,” Michael Kellogg, a top Washington appeals lawyer representing Saudi Arabia and members of the royal family, declared during an appeals argument in January. “It is a collection of newspaper articles, and reports and press releases that show at most the kingdom exercises some supervisory control over the charities.”
In fact, the CIA exercises “supervisory control over the charities,” and the lawsuit will likely go absolutely nowhere because any sincere investigation will certainly bring this out and that will not be allowed, no matter the number of high powered insurance companies involved.

This is probably all arranged with the Saudis anyway, who in part, probably did help the inside job anyway, but more to divert attention from the real criminal masterminds within the US government and elsewhere, and the growing numbers of Truthers who know what is going on. How can anyone be sued when the cause of the collapse has yet to be ascertained? Surely the presence of thermite, the way the buildings imploded and the speed at which they fell constitutes reasonable doubt, as does that suspect list of highjackers.
Assuming that Al CIAda and Mossad took down the twin towers and wtc7, does this lawsuit amount to nothing more than a shakedown? Why piss off the largest supplier of crude oil? The US presence in the Persian Gulf is what drove up the price of oil and gas in the first place and now they want to make it worse.

What I cannot understand is where are all the families who have lost loved ones from 9/11?
Where are the lawsuits and lawyers demanding justice over the government’s failures to it’s bold faced lies, which is the very core of the wars today. All taking place because the US airforce allowed hi-jacked commercial airliners to take their sweet time getting to New York. The lawsuits showing Cheney and George Bush sleeping with the enemy.
Were it not for the blessings of 9/11, there would be no invasion armies.
Where are the lawsuits? Where are the in-your-face-finger-pointers screaming for justice over the deaths of firemen , police officers , rescue workers, those who had to jump or be burned alive, the children, moms and dads, brothers and sisters, all who died to make a few men very, very rich?
Where are the people who can prove the government was , if not behind 9/11, that it very much prayed for it (PNAC)? The vast majority of people in America choose to live with these crimes and my guess is: donot even think about it. Allowing those who are involved to sneak away with your money and leave America as one of the worst corrupted and powerful crime capitals of the world.

Regarding the surviving 9/11 victim family members I seem to recall something about a cash settlement that would have precluded any future legal action. I wonder if someone knows more about this and can find a link or two.
My two cents is that while elements of the Saudi Royals were involved so were rogue factions of other states (Israel, Pakistan) in providing assistance to the neocons so they could have their massive psy ops Reichstag Fire, their coup d’etat and the requisite excuse for a domestic power grab to allow for executing the PNAC plans for Middle Eastern domination.

Lawsuit attempts to blame Saudi Arabia for 911? Hey Saudi Arabia….I have a way for you to question the legitimacy of the suit. The same could be used on Larry Silversteins suit against the insurance companies. First….what was 911? 911 was buildings falling down. How did the buildings fall down? They fell down as millions around the world have seen on hundreds of clear video from a controlled demolition. Who planted the controlled demolitions? Good question. Saudi Arabia…..ask this question in court…….what was CDI, Controlled Demolition Inc, the worlds (US) most clandestine military and government detonation, implosion, and building demolition company doing inside the WTC’s 1, and 2 on Sat. I have wondered for a while why there has not been significant litigation arising from 3000 wrongful deaths on 9-11. What about the brave firefighters who were sent to their doom in a builing that was wired to implode? America is the most litigious society on earth so what is this inaction all about?
Kudos to Mr. Jones and the crew for fighting this menace in spite of the danger.

Why is that the Americans don’t file a lawsuit against NORAD or the US govt. Researchers did soil samples and testing of the ground at the Shanksville PA site where the ‘planes’ crashed on 911. They found zero evidence of a single drop of jet fuel. Let me repeat….not one single drop of jet fuel was found at the PA crash site. Not one single speck of fuel was found at Shanksville.
When authorities wanted to test the ground in front of the Pentagon to assess the damage and hazards of jet fuel….VP Cheney ordered 5 feet of dirt to cover the entire area without any testing whatsoever. Look at the photos of the Pentagon “rescuers” which Rumsfeld was one of the first people on the scene, FBI, police, and military personnel after the crash at the Pentagon. Out of a possible 650 people at the site…..3 are wearing any form of protective masks. THREE! The sickening and overwhelming smell of jet fuel, regardless of how big the explosion was, would be everywhere. The ground would be toxic for months.
At the WTC’s in NYC…. NO test was ever done regarding anything. They didn’t test for fuel or explosives in ANY way. Even NIST has said it never testing for demolitions on WTC 7 because “when we looked at video…we couldn’t HEAR anything that sounded like explosions so we did no testing”!! Once the world understands that there were no commercial planes on 911 the BIG LIE is exposed. ALL decisions on 911 must be reversed. The US has started never ending wars of terror based specifically on planes crashing on 911. Patriot Act, torture, anthrax, renditions, warrantless wiretapping, suiciding, incarceration without charges, Homeland Security, trillions in military spending…..all have been based on planes crashing on 911. The planes were a fraud and a conspired lie. That means everything after that was a lie. The war on terror must end.
To this day….not one single piece of airline debris has ever been verified by anyone outside of the Bush White House. Not one single piece. There are over 3.1 million pieces that could verify a standard 757…..that’s 13 million pieces from 911 alone….and not one single piece has ever been verified by anyone outside of the Bush’s. Photos, witnesses, and video have never counted as verification. Only verifiable wreckage counts. Photos, witnesses, and video are what the US had to prove WMD’s in Iraq. The second the world wanted ANY form of physical verification of the WMD’s…..the lie was over. It is now called an “intelligence failure”. That’s an understatement? Though the US is still murdering 1,000 Iraqi’s a day based on this same admitted lie.
What else does the fact that there were no commercial planes that crashed on 911 mean?
