Today, the AP is reporting that according to a close aide to Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, the Iraqi government “wants to eliminate any chance U.S. forces will stay” in Iraq “after 2011 under a proposed security pact.” But also yesterday, al-Maliki took issue with calling the agreement a “security pact”:
Al-Maliki, meanwhile, met with a leading Shiite politician late Thursday to discuss the deal. Government television quoted the prime minister as describing the agreement as a framework for the pullout of U.S. forces and the regulation of “their activities within the rest of the time they’re here.”
“We don’t call it a security pact but an agreement to withdraw the troops and organize their activities during the period of their presence in Iraq,” al-Maliki was quoted as saying.
The top U.S. commander in Iraq, Gen. Ray Odierno, said yesterday that “there is a 20 percent to 30 percent chance” the two sides will come to an agreement. Without an agreement or an extension of the UN mandate authorizing the presence of U.S. troops, the American military “would have to suspend all operations in Iraq” after Dec. 31, 2009.

Ha Ha Ha. The U.S. WILL never leave Iraq. The 13 permanent bases have been built without questions. Seriosuly, this inform’s the public that the U.S. “might” leave. It will never happen folks. Besides, the only country who has benefited from the U.S. led Iraq–Afghan, and the destabilization of pakistan, is Iran.

This is all a big stage show. Maliki is playing the defiant stander-upper of Iraqi freedom. Meanwhile, all attention is focused on this charade, and once again, everyone looks to their precious leaders as saviours.

Unusual. There is that date once again. January 31, 2009….
I was reading about the Codex Alimentarius that was set in motion in 1962, and their worldwide “implementation” date is… wait for it…
January 31, 2009.

Hell, we haven’t left Japan, Germany, Korea, etc. What makes anyone think we will leave Iraq anytime soon?

I’m glad that nobody here is fooled by the “departure” of US troops from Iraq, because it will NEVER happen.

We should have never been there in the first place. It was illegal and still is. Why does Iraq feel the need to have some form of agreement to kick us out? They should already have done so.
Just call up the President and tell him to get out. That is what I would do. If he didn’t listen, I would ask Russia and China for assistance. Or anyone that would help get the muddy boots off my rug.

Obviously Maliki doesn’t get the message..
I recommend we send all the legislators and sSupreme Court justices and treasury oficials to Iraq unarmed to tell him how things will be….
And if he don’t like the results.. He can keep them..Free of charge.

Well, rjs, they’re trying. The more they try to kick us out, though, the more we say we’re justified in staying.
Maybe they should be nicer about it. “Hey, guys, umm…you know, we’ve been thinking about it, and umm, well, we love you guys…well, I mean, most of us love you–some of the families of the million or so dead are not too happy–but, you know, it has been 5 or so years and Saddam is dead and well, could you leave, now…please? ”
“NO!”
“Oh, well then, umm, can you leave in like three years?”
“MAYBE.”
“Oh. Umm, well….ok.”

I suppose the question Maliki should be asking himself (other than, “do you feel lucky, punk? Well, do you?”) is to consider how many of the 100+ countries where we put ‘boots on the ground’ have we in fact ever left. Maybe the Falkland Islands? We’ve remained in Japan and Germany since WWII for crying out loud. In Korea, not only have we not left in half a century, we never even bothered to announce that escapade over, as we declared war, but not peace–ony a cease fire. Maliki will not likely see a sovereign Iraq in his, nor his grandchildren’s, lifetime.

How many permanent bases did we have in Vietnam? What would make you believe we’re going to stay anywhere after the collapse? We can’t maintain control of our own government, and we would have the nerve to believe we can control the world? In their dreams, but they’re going to make it our nightmare. I believe they have totally underestimated Americans or either I’ve totally underestimated the true stupidity of the American populace—– and I have less faith in the American public than any one else I know! Greed and avarice always blind the truly wicked, they always outsmart themselves and I have faith in greed and avarice destroying them as it destroys always. Have faith and all will fall into place, God never breaks a sweat and neither should we. He has always known the outcome, it’s His world, satan gives the wicked that false sense of omnipotence and then the wrath of God comes. Just always do the next right thing and you’ll always end up on the Right side, it really is that simple. Let The Games Begin!!
