Man Arrested, Faces 5 Years In Jail For Reporting Firearm To Police

A former soldier has become the latest victim of the predatory UK police state after he was arrested and convicted by a jury for handing in a shotgun to his local police station after discovering it in his garden. The man faces 5 years in jail due to draconian gun control laws that dictate members of the public cannot even touch a gun without being charged with “possession of a firearm”.
“Paul Clarke, 27, was found guilty of possessing a firearm at Guildford Crown Court on Tuesday – after finding the gun and handing it personally to police officers on March 20 this year. The jury took 20 minutes to make its conviction, and Mr Clarke now faces a minimum of five year’s imprisonment for handing in the weapon,” reports Surrey Today.
In a statement read out in court, Mr Clarke said: “I didn’t think for one moment I would be arrested.”
“I thought it was my duty to hand it in and get it off the streets.”
Clarke discovered that the gun had been discarded in a bin liner at the bottom of his garden, which backs on to public fields, and called Chief Superintendent Adrian Harper to let him know he would be visiting the police station.
When Clarke removed the gun from the bin liner and placed it on the table facing towards the wall, he was instantly arrested for possession of a firearm.
Despite the fact that Surrey Police issued a leaflet encouraging people to “report found firearms,” Clarke was told by the prosecuting attorney that his honest intentions were irrelevant and that possession of a firearm was a “strict liability” charge.
“Just by having the gun in his possession he was guilty of the charge, and has no defence in law against it, he added.”

This is just the latest example of how the UK police state has been malevolently manufactured to oppress the innocent in a predatory fashion. The British justice system is deliberately structured in such a way that it vampirically feeds on law-abiding members of the middle class while the real criminals are coddled and pardoned.
Like most cities in the UK, in my town the more affluent areas are full of cops running speed cameras attempting to suck off the fat hog that is the British taxpayer. However, in the worst slum areas which routinely top crime league tables, police are nowhere to be seen, and will refuse to even visit some areas at all.
When I lived in one of the worst areas of town, local teenagers would openly carry guns as they walked down the street and nothing happened. And yet if a responsible and law abiding citizen finds a discarded gun in his back garden and turns it in to the cops, he is arrested as a criminal.
Over the past 15 years, we’ve all become familiar with the routine cases of where a law-abiding person attempts to repel an attack by a criminal or defends their home against a violent burglary, only for them to be charged with assaulting the criminal and not vice-versa.
This system is deliberately intended to be insane, confusing and Kafkaesque in order to strike fear into the hearts of law abiding citizens while enabling real criminals to go about their business. This is a key component of destroying a society. You have to create a Clockwork Orange-style cadre of young thugs to terrorize the general public in order for them to beg the state for increased police state measures to deal with the problem. However, once those new powers are introduced they are only then used to target the law-abiding segment of the population that called for them in the first place. This allows the real criminals free reign to continue their terror and the whole process recycles itself.
This is why the British government and the justice system, under the auspices of the insidious Common Purpose organization that has taken over nearly all levels of society in the UK, have allowed an entire underclass of yobs, scum and hooligans to run roughshod over the frightened public by ensuring their terror goes unpunished, which only encourages them to continue their behavior.
The purpose is to ensure the middle class is constantly under assault from every possible angle, leading to a gradual erosion in trust and a population living in a constant state of fear, paranoia and fealty – the perfect cocktail for tyranny.

We’re all born into this s--- man… Everyone’s gotta look after themselves first that’s a given. I’ll do the best I can for my family and myself. I can’t speak for anyone else and I certainly don’t have a gun (I can’t afford one!) but I won’t roll over and die, or even take the shot and sleep as you so eloquently put. I have alot of of faith in the American Truth movement, I’m not so sure when it comes to this country. I’d be fighting alongside other Truthers for the rights of your country proper, as I would then hope to take them back home with me. I’m no expert, that is why I am largely ignorant about how to combat all the apathy around me, or to get them to see sense. But right now we need all the friends we can get no matter which country we live in.

This is a non story.
The man should know better being a soldier. If he was so clueless why even call the police , just take the gun in. He didnt because he new in the back of this mind if you find a gun/knife/bomb in the uk , you ring the police. but to not tell them he had found a gun but just ring to inform them he was coming over was stupid and is the reason he is getting prison time.
i do however feel that the 6 months he has already been in prison is more than sufficient.

The freedom of the people of this Island to rule ourselves is being stolen, with laws, in future, being dictated from the United Nations, via the proxy European Union, with constitutional safeguards and freedoms dismantled so that the British do not have a framework within which we can live according to the traditional Christian values of our Country. But note, Common Law, although based on the ten commandments, allows flexibility to apply law according to the beliefs of others, be they Muslim or Atheist.

All law enforcement systems are this way, not just the UK. Do you think cops really want to end crime? They would be out of a job. They need people with money to fund thier system, and this is where the law-abiding middle class citizens steps in. Arrest the law abiding citizen on a technicality and let the real criminals run amok, that way you can have your money, and there is still a need for you. This is called, having your cake and eating it too.
Like the medical fields, crime is far too often a buisness and comodity, and Police officers have gotten fat enough of our “cake”. Its time some accountability went out the other way, because somehow there seems to be a double standard for what laws police officers have to obey, and which ones citizens do. In all actuality this is not the case in all instances. Some officers are really out there to abide by and protect the laws and freedoms of thier nation and thier brothers within it.
I for one clearly and objectivly assert my rights when dealing with a police officer, and I encourage all of you to do the same. Know you rights and know the law and they can”t screw you over. f--- being a good law-abiding citizen, f--- assisting police officers, because they arent hear to assist you, they’re hear to take your money and throw your ass in jail where you cant do anything about it. Well, The brittish people are suffering as much now as they ever were, i feel sorry for them, with Big Brother entrenched so heavily they got cameras everywhere. My cousin in Liverpool says they cant even take a s--- without having a camera staring down at them. The law is the law is the law. He should not have touched the gun. What he should have done was left it where it was (hide if under a tarp or something so it doesn’t get taken) and then reported to the police and show them where it was located. The law states that if he’s in possesion of a firearm, that he should be charged with such. The method in which it came into his possesion is irrelavent. He should have thought things through before deciding to pick up that firearm…there were other means he could have gotten that gun to the police without having to break the law himself. He’ll pay five years for his mistake… It should be a lesson for people to think before they act… even if the ends did justify the means, it is still the LAW! The law is the law IS THE LAW!

I asked a local cop once this: If a new federal law is passed that says everyone has to accept an implanted biochip in their body for ID and tracking purposes etc., would you enforce that? That guy went to jail on a technicality and you know it. He didnt purchase the weapon, its not his. I dont know about your laws over there but in the U.S. we have this thing called SERIAL numbers on the weapon that can be used to track whomever purchased the firearm in the first place, unless its a blackmarket weapon with the serial filed off it.
You want to know WHY your government forbids firearms in your country? Because they know damn well if you had guns ready and availible to you, your current government would end real quick. Its a suppression tactic, our government may try it soon, but they won’t succeed, because theres MILLIONS of people with firearms, versus the 100 or 200 people that run the country. It wouldnt even be an alamo.
Your government can bring all the water cannons it wants to blast the people, but when you have an angry mob of millions outside their doors, theyre going to use common sense and save their own asses, and give you what you want so they dont get hanged out to dry. Theres a reason radical muslims use martyrs, because it galvanizes the rest of their people into a pissed off fighting frenzy.

The man should know better being a soldier. If he was so clueless why even call the police , just take the gun in. He didnt because he new in the back of this mind if you find a gun/knife/bomb in the uk , you ring the police. but to not tell them he had found a gun but just ring to inform them he was coming over was stupid and is the reason he is getting prison time.
i do however feel that the 6 months he has already been in prison is more than sufficient.

Of course you’re incredulous about us not being able to own firearms. It’s because we’re not that scared of eachother!! We don’t feel the need! My 80yr old Grandfather owns a gun. To shoot rabbits and eat them. He’s Scottish though, and they’re all a bit mad up there (can’t be racist – i am 3/4 scottish. It’s just good old-fashioned truth!).
I feel so so sorry for that poor man. I would throw a f---ing hissy fit if i was charged with that bulls--- when i was only doing my bit! The laws in the country need a serious rethink! I know for a fact that Elizabeth I was legally a bastard until she died. I also know that it’s illegal to put mince in mince pies and that you have to have a bundle of hay in every taxi for the horses. These laws don’t apply / aren’t enforced anymore! It’s silly. Clear them all out and write new ones, i say.
I understand the whole paranoid thing – i walked to uni this morning only to discover that kids had been being taken from the common (common land) that i walk down every single day. i’ve never ever been so paranoid in my life! i’m alright – i’m old enough not to have to worry – but it was still a scary prospect!
