I’ve posted in the past about the insanity of extending the reach of drunk driving laws in MADD’s attempted return to the glory days of Prohibition. See, for example, Felony Bicycle DUI, DUI on a Scooter, DUI on a Foot-High Toy Bike, DUI in a Wheelchair? and DUI on a Horse?.
Where are we going with all of this? Take a look at a fascinating semi-documentary on YouTube created by a gentleman who was arrested for drunk driving in Columbus, Ohio…for walking his bicycle.
That’s right. Jeff Brown was walking his bicycle — across his own front yard — when he was stopped by a police officer. The cop began to cite him for not having a headlight on the bike, then said, “I smell the presence of alcohol on your breath”. Jeff was stunned — and refused to take a breath test. Result: convicted of drunk driving — with four days in jail, a 6-month driver’s license suspension and a criminal record.
So Jeff decided to appeal…and started looking into why the Ohio Legislature in 2004 had changed the drunk driving laws from driving motor vehicles to include operating such “vehicles” as golf carts, lawn mowers, farm tractors and bicycles – and from driving on public roads to include driving on your own private property. He found the reasons for the new laws were based on supposed fatality figures from MADD and the federal government….figures which are, to say the least, deceptive. Jeff’s film does an exceptional job of analyzing the fraudulent manipulation of these “statistics”.

If I was on my own property and a cop stopped me for any reason I would tell the cop to get the fuck off my property because he is trespassing. If he did not do so I would retrieve a gun and shoot the stupid piece of shit. What do they think they are – bullet proof. That is total bullshit – and the judge should be shot too!
Publish then name,home address, phone number, wifes name,kids name,type of cars,license plate numbers on the cop and judge. The get people to drive buy all hours of the day and night honking horns,paint ball the cars,lawn,etc. Fuck with them.

He was ignorant to even talk to the police officer, he should have walked into his house and closed the door. He paid for his ignorance, he would be better off learning his real rights under UCC contract law instead of trying to argue facts with a government stuge in a uniform. Then thinking he can trust another government employee whose job it is to make money for the state known as a Judge.

Everyday it’s something new and just a little bit more disturbing. Now you can’t even drink a beer and walk a bicycle on your own property.
Someday they will just take all of our front doors of the hinges so they can walk right in when ever they want.
To all cops who read this: Your pushing us into a corner. Your only going to make life harder for yourselves because the day is coming when we will not take another false arrest or warrantless search or people being choked to death while restrained in a chair or being tasered for not getting our drivers license out fast enough. When that day comes your lives will hold the same values to us as ours do to you. I think thats only fair don’t you?

This is getting retarded. It seems like they are just trying to make up anything and everything they can to arrest or fine the people. Probably getting ready to stock up their fema slave labor concentration camps.
I can understand laws that pertain to the drunk driving of motor vehicles on public roads and places but they go to far when they try to dictate what can and can’t happen on private property and the non-motorized vehicles. I have a sneaky feeling cab companies and other pay per trip transportation companies are also behind this. Regardless who is behind it I should have the right to do whatever I want on my own property. If I want to have some beers and then go drive a car or go cart, or a riding lawnmower through the huge field on my property I have that constitutional right and if you got a problem with it you don’t have to be there you have the freedom of choice too the gov might not agree but you do.
Don’t back down. Don’t give up a single right. We should all start carrying copies of the constitution and when someone tries to violate them we pull it out and get everyone around attention explaining what it says and how you are being violated. As long as the cop thinks he/she knows the laws and your rights better then you and those around you he/she will walk all over them. If you make a scene and everyone around you knows whats going on the cop will back off back off and your rights will be protected be the people as they should be.

I think this is a rather silly law that seems to have been put in place for the sake of dimwits and fools. There will always be dimwits and fools and we can’t restrict the rights of people for the sake of dimwits and fools, lest we end up living in a future where by we are required to walk with helmets, and elbow pads.
Responsible adults are being effected by these ludicrous and over stretched laws, and its about time people put a stop to it by speaking out.
I wouldn’t however blame the cop, he is just doing his job. I do understand that he has the option to overlook the crime, but it was a crime. It wasn’t the cops fault, he was following the law. This does not mean I am in agreement with any of this situation or its outcome, however if there is a problem, it lies with the government of Colombus Ohio and not with the police department or the judge that handled the case.
In a way, this scenario illustrates the beauty of a republic. We have a single state, legislating silly laws and its people are free to speak out, vote against and generally change the law if they care enough. That is the main issue. People have to care enough that they will stop what they are doing to change the situation.

When you attend the in person screening panel, I would recommend bringing at least a 12 pack of beer or a brown bottle. The panel likes to see that members are dedicated true alcoholics. LOL

The constitution is our supreme law, nothing is above it except the Almighty’s law that they were and are based on, being symbiotic documents, the bible can exist without our constitution, but our constitution cannot exist without the scriptures they are based on.

That was phunny Gabriel, I have a friend that created a website to that end years ago, basically, madd invited him to remove it. It was really phunny. Unlike madd, who’s soviet dictate are not, I am not a drunk, I do drink some beer very moderately contrary to my past when I suffered from the allusion there was a beer shortage and sucked down as much as I could, now I have to sweat drinking one beer knowing their retarded guidelines are so low they can make anyone a criminal, of course, their despotic guidelines do not in anyway take into consideration body weight or tolerance, I tried to bring that up at propaganda school, but that made me very unpopular and I was then subject to the personal scrutiny of the indoctrination minister and threatened with a personal negative report to the judge who reneged on my deal with the second chair anyway, bunch of liars.

Cops love their jobs, your life is a big fucking joke to them. They go home kick off their shoes and crack a beer. They could really give a shit about you or your family. I don’t drink and drive anymore, got my my first DUI a week after I turned twenty one. I was leaving town pub and had a car drive right up on my ass with KC flood lights night blinding me. I couldn’t even tell it was a cop. He was right up my ass, so I brake checked him, then he turned on his red and blues. I pulled over, but only after going across the bridge that is a State Line. They didn’t like that. They pulled me out of the driver’s side window, kicked me in the face repeatedly, guns drawn they tried to antagonize me into assaulting them. When I wouldn’t bite they hogtied me, kicked me some more. drug me around to the back of my car on my face. When I blow the breathalyzer I was right at the minimum 0.08. Since I was no longer in WV, they had to call Md State Police. When They showed up and saw I was a bloody mess, they gave those cops hell, and asked me if I wanted to press charges, I told them no, just as long as they didn’t prosecute me in WV. By the time I was booked, and tested I was well under the limit, but they still had to charge me. I ended up with probation before judgement, a six month suspension, and weekly urinalysis for three months. I never retained a lawyer, I called the State’s Attorney and told him PBJ or I’ll subpoena the cruiser footage and sue the piss out of all of them. I walked out of court without a fine or a court cost. Just caught up in the system for a hot minute. I never go to bars at night anymore they sit out front and wait for you to get in a car. Now that smoking is illegal inside bars in Maryland everybody goes outside to smoke. That’s public intoxication, and they can arrest you just for that. I’ve seen it happen. It’s a JOB for them and don’t expect them to go out of their way to help you. They are revenuers for the State. Period. Quit glorifying their job. Fucking puffed up meter maids, with a chip on their shoulder.

The DUI laws are a cash cow, for local attorneys and local governments. In Tennessee the police will not give you the test results, until you go to trail. Most people think they are being responsible, by drinking a couple beers and driving, the truth is you have to be stopped, before you know the rules. Why doesn’t the government make the law practical by limiting the number of drinks a person can have? Money; They want all the sales tax and liquor tax, they can get. Good people get attorneys , the attorneys take the case knowing there is nothing they can do. The reality is more people are driving without licenses. Young people get a record and can’t get a job. I hope this country has a revolution. Why doesn’t the police stop everybody, who leaves a bar? Money, Money, Money…………

Also Sam…If you study your statistics,”as I have” you will find that the biggest killer on the streets and highways is ……fatigue, that’s right, falling asleep and nodding off on long trips, which is aggravated by retard slow speed limits, because common sense dictates that the longer you are on the road, the more tiarder you get the more you veer off the beaten path and into someone else, when I worked for the Sheriff, I transported prisoners all over the midwest and some in the east , I was usually wired on mini thins and if I hadn’t had a partner, I would’ve crashed on a few occasions stone sober.

MADD is a front for the auto industry, as evident with MADD’s push for mandatory breathalyzers in all cars (all older cars would have to be retrofitted at the owner’s expense) and mandatory breathalyzer tests for ALL drivers, not just the drunk drivers. It’s just a “reverse Robin Hood” ploy to steal from the poor and give to the rich (the auto industry).

Again I say the law and the arrest are completely horseshit and I think the cop went way to far. However when you want to point your fingers and insult people who have families to feed and bills to pay point that same finger at yourself also. NO ONE has even attempted to fight the draconian drunk driving laws. The draconian smoking laws (Hell I’m a non-smoker) if you don’t want to be exposed to smoke don’t go to the bar. I know alot of cops who agree, but if they don’t do their jobs none of you are going to pay their bills.

One served 6 months in jail. the other two got off because they were under age or a first offender. Dear Friends, brothers and sisters,
I seem to hear the same comments over and over again, to the tune of, lets not say God this and God that, and we all know the existence of the NWO and their evil, but why don’t you actually suggest what we can do about it rather than simply acknowledge it and sit idly.
Ok, here is my take on this view:
Change and solution can only come about when the world is enlightened and aware of what is actually going on. If you have come to this site, and you are reading this message, then it is safe to assume that you are already aware. Now, what we need my friends, brothers and sisters, is to actively pursue ideas, suggestions and implement them in regards to spreading the message globally. It all starts with baby steps. If every individual on this site for eg. enlightens 1 new person every day, thats 365 new enlighten humans multiplied by however many individuals actively look to do this.
They have created technology to use to their advantage, let us not forget that we are just as capable as using their own “tools” against them, as Alex is trying to do with this site. My friends, we need to start actioning mass effective email forwarding campaigns, and actively talk to whoever we can in our everyday lives in order to enlighten as many as we can.
This is because, the power of the NWO lies in the fact that ultimately not enough people believe you in order to affect them. They want to make people think you are mad, it is all just consipiracy paranoias! And as they say, the greatest trick that satan ever pulled off was to make people think he didnt exist! This is because, if we are actually all aware and acknowledge their existance, they can not effectively implement their plans. The invisible hand transforms into a visible structure. And a visible structure can always be confronted. But an invisible structure ie. The top of the pyramid can not, as you are not aware who they actually are nor have access to them. Alcohol is perhaps the most destructive drug to societies. However, most of these newly found laws seem based on mood swings. I think it is best to get back to the base the US Constitution and discard all these laws to start from a solid foundation for newly added laws. No law should be passed unless there is a referendum and the majority of people approve it in that state.

This whole drunk driving thing is getting way out of hand,if the government wishes to revoke one’s license for drunk driving,they should at least be sure that the person who is now on the roads on a bicycle,or walking,can utilize an infrastructure which is in place to keep that person out of harms way,if said person were to actually honor his loss of priveledge and not drive.The harsh reality is that riding a bicycle is almost a death sentence.
The same goes for public urination,if there are no options withing a certain distance,and one is on foot,what is one to do?,If they want to prosecute you for something,it should be because you chose not to use a lawful alternative,THAT IS AVAILABLE.
It basically amounts to a “drunk driving” trap if there are no alternatives such as a good public transportation system,the same as it amounts to a “piss trap” if there are no facilities for one to use to relieve themselves.
Aside from all of that,in accordance with the constiution,it is required to offer remedy before prosecution,an opportunity to correct the mistake,such as getting out of the car,and agreeing to walk home,catch a cab,call a ride…if no one was damaged/harmed by the act.
I had a DUI myself several years ago,I was revoked for 5 years,I am not a basic drunk guy like some may be.I have been riding a bicycle for 3 years on the roads of florida to get to my job 32 miles from my home,and have never seen so many stupid drivers in my life.I am about to do some research on how many drunk driving fatalities there are,compared to just stupid ass drivers,I am sure the numbers won’t exactly agree with the numbers posted by the criminals in charge.
After all,it is just about money,It has saved me thousands of dollars not driving,I need no health club membership,no gas expenditures to speak of,no insurance….Really,losing my driving priveledges has been the best thing that ever happened to me,without driving,I am almost wealthy,and healthy too.
MADD is a socialist/fascist/communist organization,of over concerned mothers who are trying to protect their children and loved ones from something that is absolutely unavoidable,people who are trying to save themselves the pain of losing a loved one by placing blame on someone else,when in reality it is unavoidable,and they are just being selfish and avoiding reality.

Hey John Back from the Club,
Im a DUI lawyer of 18 years and I try plenty of them…but let me tell ya: Our jury pool has been completely brain-washed by TV. Its pathetic. Im sure the guy pushing his bike got his case dismissed (notice the article says “arrested”). However, my frustration with the general population is at an all-time high.
Cops lie with impunity. But “awake” prospective jurors (for some unknown reason) always raise their hands, talkin’ about how they “cant be fair” because they “hate the government” and “dont believe in the system.” People like that do a grave injustice. Im not advocating lying to the judge, but I want awake jurors to think about their positions. Of course you can be fair. The jury system is the foundation of our country. Shut up, say you can be fair (because you know you can), and sit on the jury.
If you think someone is guilty (if its DUI, I’ll guarantee its between midnight and 3am) find them guilty. But when the defense attorney proves the cop is lying (which happens in almost every case), find the guy not guilty. The media has turned the defense attorney in to a lying, “reasonable doubt creating” monster, who “helps criminals get off.”
The Constitution grants one the right to counsel precisely so you can cross-examine the evidence against you in an effective way. The DA works for the gov. The cop works for the gov. The judge works for the gov. The juror is the only unbiased person in the room.
Unfortunately, most have TVs and are clinically brain-washed.
Get that thing out of your house. Get your mind back.
DUI is stupid and dangerous, but it has been used to destroy our Constitution and help put as many people on probation as possible. Question your “tough DUI laws.” Speak up at the right time…and dont drive between midnight and 3am–even sober. Its “really” dangerous.

Our government has lost focus of their primary responsibility to serve the publics best interest to viciously pursue an unsustainable agenda for revenue and control through unconstitutional DUI laws. Our corrupted policymakers have overtime passed legislation designed to progressively circumvent our constitution. Thus selling out the power over our free nation unto the dehumanizing wealthy global elite (the world’s wealthiest 5% that now control 90% of the global assets; such as the media, insurance, prison, and rehabilitation industries…as well as the non-government Department of Motor Vehicles). They use manipulation and fear to persuade us to give up our freedoms for “safety”.
For example, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) produces the data on alcohol-related traffic fatality statistics based on accident reports listing the presence of alcohol (.01+) in the driver, passenger or bystander. The wealthy lobbying group MADD publicly misrepresented this statistic to claim that 17,013 people where killed by drunk drivers in 2003 and this fraudulent fact was the driving factor behind lowering the BAC limit to (.08) from the previous national standard of (.15) But these same statistics show that only 20% percent of those fatalities were caused driver’s with a BAC of (.08+) w/ the staggering majority over (.19). Of all highway fatalities, sober drivers have been responsible for the majority (80%) of highway fatalities and (93%) of all accidents on average.
But the most interesting element of research was the fact that these percentages have remained relatively constant since the beginning of their presented data back in 1994. That’s right…the progressively aggressive enforcement of DUI legislation over the years have not made any significant impact on highway fatalities whatsoever! Meanwhile, millions of DUI arrests are made every year; criminalizing non-violent offenders whom as the majority never committed a crime against person or property.
How long will it take for us to realize the detrimental social and economic ramifications of these unconstitutional governmental actions against it’s own people. How many good people will have to become criminals under unjust laws…and be thrown into a vicious cycle of poverty before our middle class, the strength of our nation, gets completely destroyed. We get government out of our face and off our backs. Enough is Enough!

How can WALKING, with a bike or not, be justification for a DUI charge. DUI is DRIVING under the influence. NOT WALKING UNDER THE INFLUENCE. The most that guy should have been charged with is public intoxication which is a minor charge.

Alex has put a LOT of money into helping Ron Paul and We Are Change. He’s put $10,000 on the table within the last few wks. for an attorney for We Are Change in the frameup they endured during the Laura Bush debacle.
If we’re going to raise money for this, the Ron Paul campaign raised $6,000,000 ON THEIR OWN, without any help from Alex (except the money he donated on his own). So what’s the problem? Why can’t we do it now? Alex isn’t our “King.” He’s just another Patriot like most the people here. Since when can’t we start our own concerted movement without his “go ahead” or approval?

This guy was on his own property, and didn’t cause injury. This so-called “law”, is actually “anti-law”.
Why didn’t he get a jury trial, based upon the Constitution, for his so-called crimes?
Of course, the must be able to review the facts and the “law” for there to be any real due process. “If a juror accepts as the law that which the judge states then that juror has accepted the exercise of absolute authority of a government employee and has surrendered a power and right that once was the citizen’s safeguard of liberty.” (1788) (2 Elliots Debates, 94, Bancroft, History of the Constitution, 267). As Lysander Spooner pointed out regarding the questioning of jurors to eliminate those who would bring in a verdict according to conscience (a practice effectively accomplished today through the jurors’ oaths) “The only principal upon which these questions are asked, is this — that no man shall be allowed to serve as juror unless he be ready to enforce any enactment of the government, however cruel or tyrannical it may be…. A jury like that is palpably nothing but a mere tool of oppression in the hands of the government.”

Has anybody seen a billboard that tells you how many drinks you can have? The Government wants the tax. The lawyer wants the case. The court wants the court cost. The insurance companies want the higher premiums. The bar wants to sell the drinks. The wrecker companies want to take in the car. The police want their jobs. Just make the law transparent. Why haven’t we made the restaurants illegal. What is the difference between a bartender and a drug dealer? They both know people have to drive home, from the dew drop inn, in the middle of nowhere. Speeding is the number one killer of Americans. Everybody on this site knows the average speed is well above the posted limit. DO NOT get a DUI! It will ruin your life! I know. I was stupid and got a DUI about 6 months ago. It is the only blemish on my record (aside from a couple of speeding tickets from over 7 years ago). I had my license suspended for 6 months, had to work as a slave for 4 days (I had to pay for the privilege!), had to pay about $1500 in fines, fees, etc. My insurance now costs more. I nearly lost my job because I have to drive as part of my job. I now have a criminal record that will last FOREVER! Take Alex’s advice and just DON’T DRINK! Don’t take their bait. They want to get you in the system and squeeze you for everything they can. It’s all about money. They hit you where they think they can hurt you the most and for most people that is financially. Not being able to drive is the worst part because I live in an area where there is little alternative. If everybody just quit drinking, it would put a big crimp in the system.

DUI’s weren’t made illegal until the mid 70’s. Once again, another example of how much easier our predecessors had it. When you get a DUI now, they basically destroy your life, unless your already rich. They rape you for all your cash, run you through the psychobabble system, parole, it never fucking ends. Penalties for DUI are WAY to harsh- and it’s part of the NWO strategy to enslave us.
If these law enforcement assholes REALLY CARED about DUI’s, then they would simply make ignition interlock systems mandatory on ALL vehicles. Notice they only ram legislation down our throats if it violates the Constitution and Bill of Rights? You could also boycott imports from manufacturers who failed to install ignition interlocks on new cars.
That would probably cut DUI related deaths and injuries in half at least. Oh, but that would give the NWO rent a goon cops one less method of fucking you over, and subjugating you.

My state requires headlights on bikes….but only for night riding on public roads and sidewalks. If I wasn’t riding it & was on private property, then the law doesn’t apply. Just like cops don’t usually give traffic tickets for accidents that happen in parking lots. They’re private property, and traffic laws only apply on public property.
Next, his bigest mistake was handing over a driver’s license. A driver’s license is NOT required to ride a bicycle. But if you *do* hand it over, you risk getting a traffic violation on your driving record.
For this reason, I do not carry my driver’s license while biking. It is an “operator’s permit” for operating motor vehicles. It isn’t needed to ride a bike. Also, there are no laws that REQUIRE me to obtain or carry a state ID everywhere I go.

Also, how did the cop know he was drunk and what was the cause to come onto his property. I mean until you take that bike off of you property, you aren’t required to have light yet. Technically that means any bike that is parked on any property that doesn’t have a light can be cited and ticketed for not having lights. This is insane, there is more to this story and I believe this cop had an issue with this person or somebody in the neighborhood had the cop go out and harrass him. I would have told the cop that I was about to work on my bike and remedy that situation, heck for that matter if he’s taking to the point of going onto your private property what’s to stop him from walking into your house and looking for bikes without headlights.
There’s a reason why cops are acting crazy and they higher the low IQ and battled hardened ones. It’s because they will follow orders to the letter and aren’t above breaking the law if needed. We only have ourselves to blame, we are happy it’s being done to that person or that minority or that poor person but don’t think that it could happen to us. Do you actually think that they want to keep rousting minorities and poor people all day, no. They want to go after people they are jealous of and that is guys that have the pretty wife, guys that are successful, guys that are living a life they wan’t but don’t have. And the only way they can get it is to get you the father or boyfriend out of the way and then swoop in and take what used to be yours. And that is the mentality believe it or not of alot of these individuals joining the police. They had no power and now they have power over the people that used to “lord” over them.
We will be living with the consequences of our inaction and stupidity for a long time and will be apologizing to the world and each other for just as long. I remember seeing a PBS program about the Holocaust ten years ago. At one of the concentration camps outside of the local town, they where burying the victims from the Nazi regime in a mass grave and while they where doing it the americans had the local leaders from the town like the mayor and such to come out and stand at attention everyday during the process to watch the burials. I saw this and I wondered what was going through those town leaders heads, was it that they had hatred for losing to the rest of the world and this was victors justice. There may have been some of that but I don’t think it was for the majority. I think what was in their heads and feelings was shame, shame and anger at themselves at what they allowed to grow and fester in their country. And shame that everybody across the planet knows that they failed in stopping this from their own countrymen.
I hope history doesn’t repeat I truly do, because we one day may be the ones looking down into a pit and wondering how all of this came about.

Amusing that the day after Bush demanded a National Seatbelt Day with the fact that every American not wearing a setbelt would receive a ticket, he was spotted and caught on film not wearing a seatbelt while driving his truck.
