    Fox News | June 11, 2008

A British man who was so amused with BBC1’s “Have I Got News for You” that he fell off his couch in a fit of laughter was not so happy when it got him arrested and pepper sprayed.

Christopher Cocker, 36, collapsed on the floor after laughing at a joke on TV, but his neighbor who heard the thud thought something bad had happened and called the police, the Daily Mail reported on Wednesday.

According to police, Cocker initially was cooperative but quickly became “aggressive” when asked his name and personal information. Cocker tried to shut his door on the officers, at which point he was pepper sprayed through a crack in the door.

Cocker then was handcuffed, arrested and taken to court, the Daily Mail reported. An unidentified police spokesman told the Mail that, given Cocker’s aggression, they acted appropriately.

“Within the circumstances, we feel we used reasonable force,” the officer told the Mail.

Cocker, of Blackburn, England, eventually pleaded guilty to resisting a police officer and was given a conditional discharge for six months following the May 20 incident, the Mail reported.

Cocker is shocked at the outcome of what he describes as minding his own business.

“I can’t believe it — I was thrown in the back of a police van before being stripped naked and put in a cell,” Cocker told the Mail. “I was handcuffed behind my back and my ankles bound with plastic ties before six of them carried me to the van.”

Cocker told the Mail he never thought he would end up in court for laughing at his favorite comedian.

Shutting a door is not an agressive act, sounds more like a defensive act to me….

    2. California Says:

Same thing happened to me. I had just moved into a new apartment and was getting phone service installed. I drove down the street for about 10 minutes and came home and pulled into my garage closing the door behind me when a police officer came around the corner.

YOU! Stop right there! Come here. You live here?

      I said yeah! What’s up?

He said they had received a 911 call that they thought came from my apartment. I said, no way! I just moved in and I don’t even have a phone yet.

He told me to follow him around back to get his partner. His partner was around back asking my neighbors questions about who lives in my apartment.

The police told me that they thought the local rapist may have removed the screen and crawled in through one of my open windows. So to be safe, they decided to remove my screen and crawl in through my window to check everything out since no one answered the door.

They told me that my 2 year old 35lbs dog barked at them so they sprayed him with mace. I still had not entered my apartment so at that time I didn’t know that they had actually sprayed mace all over my apartment and walls and couches completely making the place very hard to live in for 3 months.

The nice police officers said that I was lucky they didn’t shoot my dog dead.

I departed the officers at that time and entered my apartment to find my dog hiding in the bathtub look the worst I have ever seen him. His face was very sad and he could barely open his eyes. I started cleaning him up and telling him I was sorry when I heard a knock at my door.

It was the police officers again, they wanted my name and drivers lisense for their report. I told him that I am busy right now and I’ll be with him in a minute. I closed the door and put myself together, went back outside and they were driving away.

The next day, I came to two female officers staking out my doors, I pulled into the garage and closed the door. I went inside for a few minutes with my friend and thought to myself “Those women looked out of place”

My friend and I went outside about 10 minutes later and had two males police officers walk up to us in an intimidating manner and demanded our ID’s. I told them that they are at my home and unless I am legally required to identify myself, then I am going to refuse. I said “Am I being detained right now?” They said NO, I said “Then I’m walking away from you.” My friend stayed and complied to my dismay.

The police officers then told my friend thet if they see him driving around on this suspended lisense, they will impound his car. I told the officers: “He isn’t even driving, he is walking.”

They use intimidation all the way in this case, in my opinion.

They warned me not to leave my windows open because a crook could break in….

I say NOOOO YOU are the ones who broke in… don’t try to reverse it.

      Am I right?

    3. California Says:

Still to this day, a year later about once a month or so I’ll get a single speck of mace finding it’s way into my airway and sticking to the inside of my throat… A reminder of that day.

AND before that day, my dog NEVER barked at anyone. Now he barks everytime someone walks by. Memories of a time forgotten.

      Ridiculous!
Forcible entry without a warrant & excessive force for not giving his name & information?

      Can you smell the freedom?

Smell Freedom?????????? This ALL smells of ASS!!!!

    7. peoplesfront Says:

that is not agression that is bullshit

    8. lonePatriot Says:

      F*ck the police!

Anyone remember that song? It’s true now more than ever.

    9. Maria Garciano Says:

      Dear Friends:

I will not justify police mishandling or brutality of any kind by any individual officers or their part on the police department. But, after working around many of them it might seem that there is a big difference of attitude between the police and its citizens. But, please do not brand all police officers as evil doers. They are in many incidents protecting the citizenship from real criminals and violent offenders. There can be incidents of blurriness and confusion when dealing with persons whom believe they have done nothing wrong and their attitude to police officers is one of “you can’t touch me” an officer will try to ascertain whether the person needs to be detained based on the information he has at that particular moment. And if the persons is being difficult to question or uncooperative in any way things can and will go against the individual. We are all humans and we all want to be treated with respect and dignity and this attitude must go and come around to each and everyone of us. Believe me if you have nothing to hide then respect the officers when questioned. If on the other hand you act suspicious, get nervous, start trembling, or resistant in any way it can and will lead to further questioning. In which case you must be cooperative or things can lead in the wrong direction. There is nothing wrong when being asked to give your name and personal information to an officer. The person mentioned in this story refused and shut the door on the police officers. These are two distinct issues to this story, one the man who fell off the couch for laughing and the man who resisted questioning. You must obey the officer or this can be interpreted as resisting and you have the right to question the officer for his name and badge number, too. Remember cooperation is the key.

As for the dog I feel so sorry for what happened, the dog’s nature was to protect his territory and seeing strangers triggered defensive reactions. The officers reacted to his barking and postured and mazed in defense. This is unfortunate and I feel for any animal as they do not comprehend the situation until the owner takes control. What ever we do we must access the reactions and consequences of our actions. This go for all parties involve.

    10. California Says:

Most officers are really upstanding guys and gals, I’ve never known one who isn’t true in his heart. But having a policy of entering a house like they did in POST#2 is a big no no in my book. And then being aggressive about it afterward is uncalled for… I like the old days of London where Scotland yard carried billy sticks and gave street children nickels.

I appreciate cops when they are cool, not when they are like – WHAT? I’M A COP! OBEY ME

Now I keep all my windows locked at all times with blinds closed and security cameras installed. Oh and when I’m coming home, I always have to check my windows as i drive by to make sure there are no cops in my house.

    12. SeiJeff Says:

      Maria,

The idea that citizens who are doing nothing illegal and are being questioned by officers where there hasn’t even been a crime involved are not doing anything wrong by refusing to give their personal information to an officer. Unless it is standard procedure to now believe everyone is guilty of something until being cleared by some damn database, which is not how our society is supposed to work, regardless of the publicly espoused intentions of the police officer or the departement he/she works for.

What has happened to our society, that people feel they have the right to be nasty simply because they can? In the case of that brit that got arrested for falling on his floor: Once the police had determined that everything was alright in the home, that should have been the end of the story. They should have given the neighbor who called them the advice to try and contact the people they were worried about before calling the police and wasting their time, then they should have drove away. What more was justified? He didn’t commit a crime so he wasn’t obligated to the authorities for anything. Their feelings of justification are only typical of people that have way too much power over others. Whatever force was necessary for compliance is exactly what they felt was justified. In other words, they are the final authority and we are the slaves. If we don’t comply, we get punished, even if we’ve done nothing but obey their every dictatorial law.

This isn’t justice and it can’t be justified either. The police are humans yes, but apparently they’ve forgotten that the rest of us are as well.

    13. NoNWO Says:

I hopt that when things get this blantant in America, we will finally get organized and resist this type of stuff. I will not live in such a Facist state. Resist with every fiber of your being.
Start by voting for people in your local elections who support your view. If that does not work then TEA PARTY Part2

    14. marc benrichards Says:

I can’t even begin to explain the things that I have been through in the past 8 years. In 2004 I was drugged and admitted myself to the hospital. They sent me to another hospital where I was told that I would pay for things I said in the past. I was told that when the second shift came on they were not nice. During the second shift they force drugged me then raped , sodomized and tortured me. Then these lovely caring people bragged about it and rubbed it in my face about what they had done. I have spent hundreds of hours , been to two different countries trying to get help. I have been ignored and met with a wall of silence. When the country you live in openly violates its own laws and treaties who do you go to? The police? That is what I was told by the Canadian government. The apathy of people and there willingness to go along with abusing and torturing their fellow man is hard to understand. I work for the American Red Cross who is known for their human rights and humanitarian work. I thought surely the endless campaign of harrassment would not be tolerated there. That is until yesterday when I was assaulted by an employee. This is an indictment to a country and people who would show indifference and sometimes pleasure at seeing innocent people suffer. The judgment of Almighty GOD is going to fall on this country. May GOD have mercy on our souls.

    15. dum dum Says:

“I’m sorry Mrs Horrowitz, I was just following orders, he didn’t respond in time so I defended myself.” I was just following orders/policy. is death is his fault!”
If they tried that in New Hampshire there’d be a “mess” to deal with!!!

    16. Proof4Truth Says:

I too have been assaulted by so called “police” on a couple occasions. Once they broke into my house because my mother wrote a bad check over 2 years prior to the break-in. I demanded a warrant or good probably cause and demanded they leave, both officers pulls guns out and pointed them at me. I showed my hands immediately, probably preventing my own murder, and they demanded I lay face down in my own house. I told they in a very stern voice that they were in the wrong and that I was not going to comply with there illegal orders. One ran at me and tackled me even though I wasnt resisting and was being very calm and cooperative with hands in plain view. He then threatened to “beat my face in with this 8-lb radio”, A police scanner he was holding. My mother was hiding with children in the other room. I told them I would help them talk to her and that there were children. He then proceeded to do a running jump kick on the door to the room they were in, coming about a foot from killing or seriously injuring a little girl who my mother was trying to hold onto but had ran close to the door. They ended up placing all the adults under arrest and all the children in CPS custody, when there was no reason to be there. They never asked for any information about what we did, they had no warrant, and no probably cause. In the report they stated that someone had ran into the house when the police car pulled up. Which is completely untrue. The next time these Nazi’s come, they can expect nothing nice from me, They will receive a hail of bullets fire as I can guarantee this is now the best protected house on the block. I will not go silently, I will not give in to this tyranny, I will die on my feet before dying on my knees and be abused by some steroid freaked nazi thugs, Do us all a favor, shoot yourself in the face right now and burn in hell you diseased satanic demons.

    17. WeNeedTruth Says:

It’s appalling to see how even a small amount of power can corrupt. When you’re in your own home (your one true sanctuary), and you are physically attacked, then we need to make this a Number 1 story on the news…but, more often than not, it’s swept under the rug.
Perhaps, when they are at the door, the person should call the local reporters and get them involved. Keep those numbers on your speed dial folks.

    18. NWA Says:

      !!!!!FUCK THE POLICE!!!!!

    19. Damian Says:

Why did he plead guilty? If that is true then he submitted to tyranny. Why?

    20. OBEDIENT CITIZEN Says:

The police did the right thing. This citizen was very disrespectful an disobedient to the police for shuting the door in there face. The police have the right to enter any home at any time they see fit to.All they wanted to know was why he was laughing for, an if he had a good reason for laughing. All the police are doing is there duty making sure we are obedient citizens an comply to government rules an laws. There is no such thing is privacy the goverment has the right to know any thing about you they want.An its the police job to discipline us when we show disobedience or disobey there orders.

    21. HighSea Says:

This is exactly why I never answer the door unless I’m expecting visitors. All you nosy neighbors need to mind your own damn business. Police who do this need to stop being idiots and use better judgement.

    22. OBEDIENT CITIZEN Says:

    23. T.L. Says:

What a load of bullshit, they seem to not respect the people who pay their wages any longer. When this happens… stop paying their wages, one way or another.

    24. Jeff W. Says:

I agree. Shutting the door was being defensive not agressive

    25. The Fourth Amendment Says:

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

OPEDIENT CITIZEN: I hope you’re joking.

    26. Mythic Mystic Says:

      Maria,
By that logic if the Government (which governs by CONSENT of the governed) isn’t breaking the law (doing anything wrong) then what do they have to hide (secrets for “National security” reasons, i.e. JFK, 9-11, ect…)? Why don’t they have to answer to us when WE are THEIR authority? Yes we ask for badge numbers but can we spray them with mace if THEY become aggressive? Are we slaves or free people Maria?

I would advise EVERYONE to read Taylor Caldwell’s Devil’s Advocate (1952) and SOON!!

So these are the distractions that Faux NEWS devise as a distraction from what REALLY GOES ON INSIDE BILDERBERG! Besides AMERICAN IDOL, which is known to fill up the interests of people who are supposed to be FIGHTING the CrOOKS Behind It! AI is a distraction by FOX as well.

See How Neocon MEDIA always has a PLAN B? They WILL always FIGURE OUT A WAY TO FILTER OUT THE IMPORTANT NEWS by THROWING JUNK on YOUR TELEVISION SCREEN!

If that guy wasn’t watching TV, then maybe he would be able to stand up against this kind of corruption.

      Here’s Fox’s Philosophy:

“Condition and accept, and make sure you NEVER question our “non-corrupt, non-powerhungry” OFFICIALS. And please,, to all the CILVILIANS, they can all SHUT UP about 911 Truth and Alex Jones and Ron Paul and anyone else who dares fight the New World Order. You Civilians have TWO WARS TO FIGHT: The War on Terror, and the War on Global Warming ” FOX News and “24″ (Another watchworthy show) are POISED to win the “WAR” on TERROR.

The Global Warming Sceme fulfills the NWO’s plan of exterminating 90% of us through “Careful Sustainability”, “Family Planning”, AIDS “Vaccines” and “Selective Breeding”

And the War on Terror is to make sure the average slave rounds us all up to be placed in FEMA Camps.

We are NOT terrorists. We are American Citizens who love Freedom and Truth and Justice!

A Second American Revolution is UPON HAND!

      -Freedom Forever-

I feel bad for fellow that was tortured, it happens all the time in US most of the time it is done by other inmates, be glad they did not kill yeah, I hear they get 6 weeks of with pay when they are investigated.

    31. OBEDIENT CITIZEN Says:

NO,Im not joking. The only rights an freedom we have come from government.Freedom is a privilege granted by goverment. If you brake the law or your disobedient to the police they have the right an duty to discipline you.The police are granted there powers from government. We cant have citizens walking around on the streets doing any thing they want or living in there home doing any thing they want with out government or the police knowing what there up to.Thats why police are aloud to walk in your house any time they feel like it.There just doing there duty an making sure your ok an living with in government gide lines.

    32. Ello mate Says:

      California-

You can bet your house I will kick their ass if they try anything on my dog. My dog is my buddy. You NEVER MACE MY DOG. that will piss me off more than if you mace a person. I person can at least have a chance to defend themselves or get away. That dog didnt know what was coming to him. I dont give a rats ass what the try to charge me with. If you mess with my dog YOUR ASS IS MINE.My dog is small and wont harm a fly so if you try anything like that on him you have real problems. If they Killed my dog I would HUNT them down. I would probly make a public example of them on my lawn. You didnt deserve ANY of that. I will put up with a lot. Probably more than many people. I might put up with police harassment for a while. But SOME THINGS ARE WAY OVER THE LINE. At some point we have to defend our lives our families our homes and our Livlihood. We are garenteed the right to LIFE LIBERTY AND HAPPYNESS. They took your HAppyness away. Shame on them. I dont care if i had to become a fugitive. I would definatly make an example of these people if they did it to my dog. I will have to be a fugitive once martial law is in place so they dont take me to a FEMA camp right? So it wont matter if i have to start i year or two early. Be brave. Good luck and God bless.

    33. OBEDIENT CITIZEN Says:

Soon the government will pass a tax on CO2,an all the citizens will have to pay a small tax on there breathing privilege. This is a very good thing cuz it will help same the planet. The government give us these privileges, breathing, having children, life,I could go on an on.Its time we give back an show praise an thanks to the life they give us.

    34. OBEDIENT CITIZEN Says:

      The government needs your obedience.

    35. Beziers1209 Says:

These cops (thugs?) crossed the line, that’s for sure. This is an obvious display of typical cop-machismo (gun & badge = douchebag), the pepper spray and detainment were obviously punitive and had nothing to do with enforcing the law. Nonetheless, the man should have identified himself, as the police were in fact responding to a call and not just randomly asking him for identification. If he intended to decline giving them any information at all, he should have stated that in a polite, non-threatening way, and waited for them to respond or leave. Most people, police or civilian, respond negatively to having a door shut in their face. Never forget that the system works in a way where these officers can fabricate evidence against you, and that their word will be accepted before yours, and as such it is not in your interest to intentionally offend them or piss them off. You shouldn’t be a sycophant either, like our good friend Subservient Citizen, because while they might treat you better they won’t respect you nor will anyone else. Be firm, assertive, patient, and polite, like you would with a child. Cops who act in this manner are very much like children with deadly weapons and way too much power. Approach them and interact with them as such, and you’ll probably walk away without being electrocuted or sprayed with chemicals.

    36. OBEDIENT CITIZEN Says:

Its hard for some to comply but in the end they will obey an do has there told. Its for the best. Let the police do there duty an take care of you. Here were I live they have tazer road blocks, for every 6 car that pass the 7 car is stop an the ppl in the car are order out an are tazed. This helps show the citizens whos in charge an runing things.

    37. OBEDIENT CITIZEN Says:

      Be obedient

    38. Mythic Mystic Says:

Apparently you are too blinded by your God, the State, that you don’t even realize your State run education had been all for not! Don’t be offended because you HAVE NO RIGHT to NOT be offended!! Even if you believed in rights. Now I am sure you are about high school age and are attempting a sarcastic parody, but LET’S STOP TALKING FALSELY NOW THE HOUR IS GETTING LATE!!!!!

    39. OBEDIENT CITIZEN Says:

Some subjects will think that breathing is a god giving right an will not pay the breathing privilege tax. These disobedient subjects will be put in government discipline camps for there disobedience. There in those camps they will have to work off there breating tax dedt.Plz don’t let this happen to you get on board an do whats apected of you an follow the rules an be obedient citizen.

    48. David G Says:

The Police do these evil things because the people and the politicians allow it to happen. here is a simple solution have a million man march in every capitol in America. And call out to the politicians and tell them we will elect a brand new batch of people . and promise not to re elect anyone who held the position before. And bring so many law suits that it will force them to make the changes needed. but of course this will never happen because 98% of the people are in there confort zone and dont want to get off their couches.

    49. California Says:

      To Ello mate:
Yeah the police officers assaulted my dog and broke into my house, but getting your favorite pooch mased isn’t worth fighting with your life. I am lucky that I am old enough and mature enough that I was able to control myself and have SOME understanding of why the police broke into my home. If I wanted to have put up a fight with the police or argue with them or whatever, I surely would have been arrested.

I was lucky to be calm enough to be able to think rationally and ask the police:
“Am I being detained” If not, then I am going to walk away from you, if it’s ok with you!

And sure enough they responded by shrugging their shoulders and saying “we’re not detaining you” … “I guess you can walk away if you want” And I did.

My blood was boiling and my heart was racing and one wrong move could have changed the situation to my demise.

Don’t fight with the police, if you have a problem, go see a shift seargent or a lieutenant.

Did you watch RAMBO First Blood? Remember when john rambo is arrested and then harrassed inside the station, he responds by assulting the cops in the police station and then escapes… And at that point the whole police force was out to get him… Like the police chief said “If he had a problem he should have went through proper channels and complained to the chief about his deputies” But because he took matters into his own hands, he ending up with a giant disaster on everyones hands.

The best way to deal with police are to:
      1. Be respectful at all times
      2. Know your rights throughly

    50. Joe Friday Says:

This guy wasn’t pepper sprayed for falling off his couch. He was sprayed for attempting to slam his door in an officer’s face. Like it or not libbys, that’s an aggressive act on an officer of the law, one that required the officer to escalate his use of force to bring order to the situation. The guy initiated an aggressive act. The guy resisted compliance; he brought the action onto himself. This is a prime example of why police will continue to have needless, meaningless interaction with a paranoid and aggressive public.

    51. Marcy-Dare Says:

The NAZI,S are out of control
      they smell like pigs
      they act like pigs
      mabey they are PIGS.
I say carry your own mase
and as soon as they ask you a question
      spray them! and walk away
see how they like beng treated like aimals.
      FUCK YOU PIGS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    52. glis Says:

Police should make you feel safe, but shit like this does the opposite. If there is actually something going on and the police need information I help as much as I can, if I’m just getting hassled I’m outta there. It’s not the police officers call as to how much information he needs from me, it’s MY CALL on how much information I want to give. Most police are great. In my life I’ve only met one real dbag, and that’s about the only one I remember clearly. If they spent more time ‘policing’ themselves their jobs would be a lot easier.

Why do we only have a right to be silent once we’re already arrested?

    53. Gabriel Alan King Says:

lol California. The Sherriff in Rambo was an asshole, who caused the whole problem to begin with. Under the circumstances, I think John Rambo did the right thing. Some cops just need a wake up call and an attitude adjustment.
Apparently, a man’s home is not his castle anymore, and the 4th doesn’t apply in the eyes of law enforcement in the post 911 grid. Our government has no respect for the Constitution anymore. And so that respect must be taught by armed citizens. “Rights” are only for those who are willing to enforce them.

    54. California Says:

Rambo was just another drifter who broke the law.

RAMBO, this is Cornial Troutman… Come in:

“There wouldn’t be no trouble except for that king shit cop! All I wanted was something to eat. But the man kept pushing Sir.”

    55. California Says:

The sheriff in rambo was actually a nice guy. So was rambo.

Rambo just had some mental problems. so he never gave the cop him name. Rambo was disrespectful toward the cop because he didn’t stop when the cop told him to stop and he resisted arrest, and he was carrying a big knife.

Of course the cop wasn’t so polite by telling rambo to walk 30 miles to the next town to get something to eat. and of course the cop at the station aggravated it more by abusing rambo like a vietnameese prisoner.

And they should have listened to cornial trautman when he said to difuse the whole situation by let ting rambo slip away and pick him up a few months later in a few towns over.

Police Chief Wiggum tells him that he has the right to remain silent.

Homer says: “I choose to waive that right!”

[he then freaks out and starts shrieking hysterically]

    57. California Says:

Chief Wiggum: All right, you scrawny beanpoles: becoming a cop is _not_ something that happens overnight. It takes one solid weekend of training to get that badge.

Man: Forget about the badge. When do we get the freakin’ guns?

Chief Wiggum: Hey, I told you, you don’t get your gun until you tell me your name.

Man: I’ve have it up to here with your “rules”.
      [leaves]

    58. California Says:

Homer: [gasps] An counterfeit jeans ring operating out of my carhole! I’m gonna tell everybody!
[starts to leave. Herman pulls a gun on him]

      Herman: Not so fast.

      [Homer walks slower]

      Homer: Okay.

Herman: Maybe you should just stop altogether.

It’s time to do justice as they do. That is the justice of the land. Or have you all forgotten what your forefathers had to do and give up? Do not for any circumstance without a proper warrent let anyone in your home and get in. When they come in with force it is your duty to fight to the death and don’t take any prisoners! Thats what our forefathers had to do. We must do the same.We must defend our lives and the lives of our children and wives and even the neighbor that kept your lawn mower! Because people refuse to believe it’s God’s Judgement, He’s going to step it up. It’s going to get so bad, that people will KNOW it’s the Judgement ot God. This Country has turned its back on God, and that was/is the biggest mistake they ever made.

Below is just one paragraph of many things you’ll read. Check out the 1993 Map for what God showed Mattew Stephen showing every single State in the Union that will be literally wiped out (except for a few). Matthew is simply a man who loves God with his whole heart. I don’t believe many so-called “prophets.” Most are false Prophets. But this man i believe, although he doesn’t call himself a prophet. In this case i truly believe he IS hearing the voice of God.

“The following are the parts of the United States which will be wiped out completely. Many areas will have some form of catastrophic damage. Catastrophic damage levels will be so high from tidal waves, multiple earthquakes, volcanoes, fires, tornadoes and hurricanes, that there will be a break down in society. Massive food and water shortages will be at a all time high. It will be so bad that every where you turn, all you will see is death. The only place to turn – - – now – - – not later will be Jesus Christ. If you wait till this happens, the word is very clear he will not listen or help. (see Jeremiah 11:14). “

    82. CaliforniaPOLICE Says:

Here is the California story (POST #2 above) from the eyes of the police officers
I never thought I’d have to defend them after entering my home, but the infowars crowd has a very different opinion than that of the majority of society (whom thought the police officers were justified.)

      June 1st 2007
One year ago we responded to a 911 emergency house call. When we arrived at the location, all seemed quite, noone opened the front door when we knocked which made us a little suspicious. There was an open downstairs window, so to be safe and through we decided to risk our lives and enter the apartment to check everything out and make sure everyone is safe.

We drew our guns as we stepped into the apartment and began to look around. At that point a 35 lbs dog (a whippet) came around the corner and freaked out, he began barking. To be safe, we mased the dog which made him go away.

The mase fumes in the house were too much to bare so we exited the way we entered and replaced the screen on our way out.

Seeing nothing suspicious in the dwelling, I went around back to ask some of the neighbors questions as my partner went around front.

Two minutes later, my partner returns to the rear of the dwelling with the owner of the apartment, apparently he was out and had just arrived home. My partner and I explained what had happened and the homeowner appeared to understand and he went into his home and my partner and I returned to our vehicle and took down some notes.

Needing the homeowners name my partner returned to the front door of the dwelling to ask the resident for it. The resident informed my partner that he is a little busy and he’ll be with us in a minute.

We had to respond to another call so we left the scene before the homeowner returned outside.

I recommend that we send another unit by tomorrow to obtain this information.

UNIT #2 – The following day
Attempted to obtain the name of yesterdays suspect, but he refused be questioned. We were able to obtain the information on an associate he was traveling with, named Scott Hampto. He has a clean record except for an expired drivers license.

      ScrewyLogic Reply:

How many times have you left your front door open without incident?

Your pockets are unlocked. Why can’t police just “stroll inside” and mace all the lint balls?

    83. pig squealer Says:

I know a guy who was thrown to the floor and handcuffed in front of his small child because he let his neighbors dog into his home. The neighbor’s dog was locked out of its home, and the guy was only trying to help, when the neighbor called the police for dog-napping. The cops knock on the door, he opens, then police dominate the family for awhile.

Poor fella didn’t even get a chance to voluntarily submit and show obedience to the dominating scum.

    84. California Says:

So looking at this situation from the police officers point of view, we can clearly see he was not acting like a NAZI.

NAZI’s went door to door somewhat indiscriminately masing people.

These police officers were responding to a call (doing their job) AND being extra through (by entering the apartment, putting thier lives at risk to make sure that someone they didn’t know was OK.)

They mased my dog to protect themselves.
PEOPLE before ANIMALS – that’s understandable

Really what I had a problem with is that I live in a really nice neighborhood, and this was my second day living there and I was actually looking forward to being at peace with the local police … I wanted to get to know them, and take part in city activities and become a part of the city, but this happened and made me think twice about that fantasy.

I didn’t like the fact that they were energized by these actions. I gathered they were excited when they stated “We even had our guns drawn and everything” (meaning: it was cool!)

      ScrewyLogic Reply:

Read merrie’s first sentence below. sums it up.

    85. Merrie Says:

This is a sad story Police have broad leeway to create a hostile situation in order to justify controling the situation. After 911 all “first responders” became heros. Its a game we have to play in order to survive now.
Resisting arrest is a felony and police lie under oath to justify their abuse. I recently went to the Hawaii Supreme court to contest a false conviction fro a speeding ticket which I was not even on the road way but pulled to the side of the road when the officer pulled up behind me and stated ” I clocked you going 61″.
In court the cop lied under oath and I showed pictures to the judge to show that the Officer was lying. The Judge saw the lie but she made the lie into a finding of fact. Its called “construct and construe”
The supreme coury refused to make the correction and affirmed the conviction. In certiorari I filed a brief asking the question”Is the court racially biased in its decision?’ This brief exposed the Japanese conspiricy in the State of Hawaii and how this race based Judiciary will do any act to save face because the Japanese live by a code called “Death befors dishonor’.10 days after this brief was submitted the Judge committed suicide. DBD is the secondary effect of WWII. (Hawaii supreme court case no.27843)
from this case I wroth the declaration of MAGNUS ALLUMANATI, MAGNUS IS AFFIRMED, and the PROCLAIMATION OF STANDING. I was forced to ceceed from the jurisdiction of the USA because of the covert communistic cast race based society that has taken over the State of Hawaii Judiciary.
Magnus is the new constitution and is available as an alternative to the declaration of independance.
The justice department affirmed it by failing to act to correct the situation and sent me a letter that they have no jurisdiction over the courts. As americans we must hold the police and the courts in contempt for not upholding the constitution. If we cannot that we must ceceed from the Jurisdiction.
We cannot sit back and let these people interpret the constitution as they need. Love to all MCB

    86. Benjamin E. Says:

Unfortunately, this sort of unrighteous dominion and bad behavior is all to often typical of the policing powers of our time. The Government, or rather, the policing powers today, assume the attitude that they have special privileges and rights that the rest of us do not posses. They feel it is their right, for the supposed safety of others, to trespass against your rights and property, and sometimes even rob you of your possessions, in order to ensure you of your safety and protection, and the safety and protection of society in general.
Policing power in more accurately defined as “the Law”. What, then, is Law? asked Frederic Bastiat in 1850. His answer… “It is the collective organization of the individual right to lawful defense.”
Bastiat continues… “The law is the organization of the natural right of lawful defense. It is the substitution of a common force for individual forces. And this common force is to do only what the individual forces have a natural and lawful right to do: to protect persons, liberties, and properties; to maintain the right of each, and to cause justice to reign over us all.”
Simply put, in a free and just society, the police have no more authority and rights to act by force against others than each and every one of us have. Would the neighbor who called the police have had the right to go next door and force his way into his neighbors home, pepper spray him, hand cuff him, and assault him, all because he wanted to make sure everything is ok next door? of coarse not, anyone who thinks that his neighbor would posses such a right is a fool. No one in his right mind would think that such behavior by a suspecting neighbor, a passerby, or anyone else for that matter is appropriate. So the question is… why is it somehow ok for the “Police” to act in such an abusive manner? Are the Police somehow a cut above, from a better breed of humanity, than the rest of us?
ahhh…. yes, and there you have it my friends, tyranny, and what is Tyranny?
Tyranny is the collective organization of the supreme powers of prostituted Government. Government that possess powers and rights that the governed are not “allowed” to posses. Tyranny is when the men in tights can bust down your door, assault you, and take you to jail when there has been no genuine criminal act committed, and there is no victim to be found.
I would suggest that if you ever find yourself arrested by the men in tights, for whatever reason, to ask them… ” Who is the victim?” Your arresting me officer, so I would like you to inform me as to who is the victim? who’s property have I stolen, who’s person have I harmed? who is the victim?
When he, or she… no comment, cannot answer you as to who the victim is, then declare to them… “I am the victim, and you are the victimizers, for denying me of my liberty when there has been no genuine crime committed. If there has been a genuine crime committed, then there MUST be a VICTIM! If there is no victim, then there has been no legitimate crime committed and you have no God given right to arrest me.
The police, in this situation should have politely knocked on the door, and when informed that all is well, should have walked away and left Mr. Cocker alone. If they suspected something may be amiss then they could, if they wished, keep their eye on him and proceed with a lawful and moral investigation. Without clear and concise evidence through the appropriate due process of law the police should posses no more authority to start busting down doors and assaulting people than you and I would posses as individual citizens and neighbors.
It would be well if all police, and Government officials, read “The Law” by Frederic Bastait, 1850, and get themselves an education as to what are the appropriate and inappropriate actions of the Law or Policing powers. We should return to the days where a citizen could perform a citizens arrest as well as an “Officer” of the law. Where the police and individual citizens posses the same powers and rights. The right to keep and bear arms, the right to defend your life, liberty and property, and the right to aid in the defense of the life liberty and property of others. Where all men are equal, both the Government and the governed, possessing the same equal powers and rights. It should never be said that there has been a crime committed, unless there is a victim to be produced. A victim who’s life, liberty and or property has been taken unjustly from him. Finally, in a free and just society, Christopher Cocker would have had the right to arrest the officers who arrested him, for breaking and entering, assault, and kidnapping, and taken them to jail.

Wouldn’t that be a lovely sight to see!
