“Martial Law” Declared in Arkansas Town

Areas of a town in Arkansas have been placed under a 24-hour, non-stop curfew described by the mayor as "almost akin to martial law".

The lockdown, issued after a spate of robberies, home invasions and shootings, applies to everyone in Helena-West Helena, no matter what age or what time of day it is.
Mayor James Valley has indicated that the curfew could be extended indefinitely.
Residents have described the lockdown as "like being in jail" and critics have slammed it as unconstitutional given that it effectively suspends the fourth amendment.
The ACLU of Arkansas has sent Mayor Valley a letter outlining these concerns:
"Imposing house arrest and suspending the Fourth Amendment for law-abiding people is only going to cause more problems for this city," said ACLU of Arkansas staff attorney Holly Dickson. "They need to work with the community to get this resolved instead of treating all of their citizens like criminals."
Such "domestic surges" with police imposing a martial law-style clampdown are now seemingly becoming standard procedure.
There are countless examples in recent months and years of curfews and lockdowns going into place in areas all across the country.
Only two months ago Trinidad, a "troubled" community in northeast D.C., was subject to police checkpoints after a series of shootings.
Earlier this year curfews for minors were introduced in Chicago.
Back in April we reported on the fact that federal law enforcement agencies co-opted sheriffs offices as well state and local police forces in three states for a vast round up operation that one sheriff’s deputy described as "martial law training".
The "anti-crime and anti-terrorism initiatives" involving officers from more than 50 federal, state and local agencies was dubbed "Operation Sudden Impact".

It doesn’t surprise me that the government is starting to train the local law enforcement agencies on martial law, they have to get as many of them on board as they can before they (the government) actual enforce martial law nationally. This administration’s time, legally, is almost up before the elections that they plan to suspend. The government is also trying to get the “sheeple” accustomed to seeing the gestapo on the streets and keeping them ’safe in their homes’ and the ‘criminals’ under control. Their will be escalation on a bigger scale as we get closer to November. I just hope the people of those towns wake up and don’t stand for the constitutional rape that is being imposed upon them! I went to high school with this guy. He has gone NUTS since he became “mayor”!!! When I lived there in the 1990s the cops were pretty bad, but he has hired known thugs and punks and the cops are even WORSE now!!! Notice that the “martial law” is being imposed in areas where there are high concentrations of black Americans? For those who didn’t know, West Helena, AR is almost entirely black (with the white population living in Helena, I know this because our high school athletic teams play one another), and it is just my opinion, but I think that they are preparing for riots should Barack Obama come to harm during his run for the Presidency. Nothing will light off a race war faster than that. Barack is the de facto leader and spokesman of the black community now, whether he wins or not. Losing him would be like losing Martin Luther King Jr. again. There would be a repeat of the riots that occured after MLKjr’s assasination. Unfortunately, I think things are going to get pretty ugly in a couple of weeks in Denver, and I fear that whatever move they are going to make will made be then.
Too many significant events are happening right now, while the world’s attention is on Beijing and the Olympics, for them all to be independant of one another. Something BIG is coming down the pipe as I write this. US/EU joint naval blockade of Iran, Russia/Georgia skirmish, civil unrest in Montreal and (stunningly ignored by the MSM) many urban areas of the US, things are getting interesting. Gary, you could be right. Look, it makes absolutely no sense to force a curfew or any other type of clampdown law on the citizens in order to control crime, because it does nothing of the sort. CRIMINALS will commit crimes, NO MATTER WHAT THE LAW IS! They think a curfew is going to prevent crime? They could possibly be thinking that, “well…if we get everyone off the street at night, then we can more easily pick out the criminals, because they’re the only ones who will be left roaming the city.”
Sure, that makes some sense, however…we all know this sets a dangerous precedent to use crime as the excuse to engage in martial law.
We’ve got to do something about the criminals, who are the real terrorists against the American people, and yes…! This includes illegal alien gang members.
My advice?? All Americans arm yourselves! This is your only line of defense against the thugs, against the bullies, against the illegal aliens, and against the punks who prey on disarmed, defenseless American citizens.
I gotta tell ya. We’ve had a new spell of crime, mostly burglaries of vehicles, vehicle thefts, and home burglaries in my neighborhood here in Austin, TX. JOHN IN FLORIDA: You do make some good points, but would you just sit in your house and comply indefinitely? What if you’re kids are hungry and there is no food in the fridge? What if you had plans to do something? What if your wife or mother needed important medications? What if you just want to live like a free man?
The more we cower, the more we comply, the bolder the NWO gets with their tactics. I’m not advocating any violence or breaking laws, but the time for sitting on your hands is over. The curfew imposed on them is not justified thus refusing to comply with the curfew IS justified.
Where is the ACLU now? They should be demonstrating in the streets – I realize this just happened – but if it continues then some street demonstrations should be immediately organized.

I found a mainstream news site (www.yournews.com) that has picked up on the information on Infowars and Prison Planet and is reporting it to the general public along with the regular “crap” news. They put most of it in a section called “Speak Out” but also run many of the articles here in their main sections. They also have a link to the Alex Jones show on their front page. Hopefully they are reaching the average American moron and waking them up.

Martial Law is legal, depending on the conditions when it is used:
In a stealth maneuver, President Bush has signed into law a provision which, according to Senator Patrick Leahy (D-Vermont), will actually encourage the President to declare federal martial law (1). It does so by revising the Insurrection Act, a set of laws that limits the President’s ability to deploy troops within the United States. The Insurrection Act (10 U.S.C.331 -335) has historically, along with the Posse Comitatus Act (18 U.S.C.1385), helped to enforce strict prohibitions on military involvement in domestic law enforcement. With one cloaked swipe of his pen, Bush is seeking to undo those prohibitions.
Public Law 109-364, or the “John Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2007″ (H.R.5122) (2), which was signed by the commander in chief on October 17th, 2006, in a private Oval Office ceremony, allows the President to declare a “public emergency” and station troops anywhere in America and take control of state-based National Guard units without the consent of the governor or local authorities, in order to “suppress public disorder.”

A few questions, as a non-US resident:
Is what the man in the clip says true; that only the National Guard can enforce martial? Does that imply that other parts of the army aren’t allowed to do so? So martial law could then only be decreed by the state governor? That doesn’t sound too unreasonable, at least if you’re in a small state. Oh and, I would be probably be more interested in the pre-Patriot Act(s) situation, since I suspect things have changed.

Actually Warren, this is one of the few recent stories that rises to the level of ‘taking note of’. While I am no fan of Jones, this story at least has some merit.
The community simply needs to take to the streets and overwhelm the local pokey with detainees, then let the lawyers take their turn and penalize both the actors and the city/town.

Example: Years ago, i got arrested on a restraining order violation, the place they arrested me at wasn’t the same address listed on the restraining order, but they didn’t care they hauled me away anyway. I got 30 days. I even pointed out to my public defender that they arrested me at a totally different location and they told me to keep quiet. Why i did so, i will never know, but nevertheless i complied.
Well, a couple months later, a friend of mine (who happens to be white) got arrested on the same charges, and guess what, they spent like a day or two in jail. Now, is that justice? Certainly not!
Growing up in a white community, i saw the difference between white and black, and let me tell you, america is for white people. Any other race or color is considered foreign no matter how much english you speak. Maybe things need to change in that area before things can really change.
I don’t know what it is about you white people, but you NEED to stop all the non-sense! This is NOT your land, and YOU don’t own shit. You are just like the rest of the inhabitants of the earth, nothing more. Stop acting like you are the only heir to this place. Jesus was not white, did not have blue eyes or blonde hair. There are no people from third world countries that live in Helena-West Helena. That comment was code for saying they are filled with black people, and so they get what they deserve? These are two towns that merged together a few years ago because their local governments are so broke and corrupt. Helena is one of the poorest towns in the country. There are no jobs, no infrastructure, and the town merger was what restored sanitation service, for pete’s sake. The leadership of Helena-West Helena probably sees this lockdown as more cost effective than having the police patrol as usual. For those like Warren and John and all who haven’t been educated in the Constitution and our true government. Our Government was created out of common law. This means, for expediency, law controlled by the citizens of the united states and the several states. Martial law cannot be invoked except during war and rebellion and has a time limit. Martial Law is only to last long enough to reestablish Constituion law. Martial Law is measured by the needs of the occassion. The moment order is restored the necessity for martial law ceases to exist. There is also Martial Law Rule and to explain I will quote Robert Wangrud. At the end of the Civil War, which was not Civil it was more properly the war of northern aggression, the cogress could not legitimately maintain full martial law any longer. Only through the necessity of protecting their fourteenth amendment citizens could they continue martial law up to including today.
Under martial law rule, national troops are not used to regulate the people directly. The state civil authorities are used to enforce martial law rule under the guidelines set by Congress. The only time you will find Army and Navy troops are involved is when the state civil authorities cannot enforce martial law rule. I don’t see or read anywhere where Arkansa was invaded or rebellion conducted or where the President and US Congress has declared or has legitimate reason to declare Martial Law or Martial Law Rule. This makes the mayor and those invovled with him criminals since the state of necessity does not exist and since he is not the President or Congress and it takes both.

Did you ever stop to think that the high number of incarcerated people of color in this country may have nothing to do with their intelligence or lack there of, but instead on the racist institutional structures that have been built and continue to thrive in this country. If you remember learning in history class, we are all sitting on RED land. This is Native American country. They welcomed the white Europeans, who came, as brothers only to be deceived, betrayed and murdered, en mass. Reservations are where these same Native people, who have the right to claim all of the US as their land, have been round up. That is ofcourse, only the ones who didn’t die first via the mass genocides, thanks to Uncle Sam and all of the “peacefull settlers”. Prisons in the US today have a high number of people of color by design. This is an easy way to stop the competition for resources and deny populations the ability to progenate. Give a black man 21 to life for 1 gram of crack cocaine, give a white man 6 mo. for one ounce cocaine. Sounds fair? Sounds legitimate? Nope, it does sound like the the American penal system. I don’t condone crimes of any kind. I’m a law abiding citizen and would like to live in a country filled with citizens that use their moral compass to guide them in their decisions of what is right and wrong. I just find it a little ironic that someone who benefits from this system does not see what makes it inherently unbiased and incapable of creating and executing just and fair laws for all of it’s citizens.

The wider problem of excessive crime in predominantly black neighborhoods has to be addressed. The problems though are long standing and multi-faceted e.g. Underfunded schools, single parent families, racist institutions, financial apartheid and a central & local govt. that just does not give a damn. Couple that with access to hard drugs and deadly firearms then you can see the serious problems that have to be overcome. In the meantime, decent black folk are themselves frightened of the lawlessness that has gripped their communities. We need answers…..martial law is not one of them.

Today I called a local talk radio host, Ben Ferguson in Memphis Tennessee because he supported the action of Mayor imposing Martial Law in West Helena Arkansas.
He was trying to get the audience to agree with having military style police equipped with M16s, shotguns with night vision scopes and a condition of Martial Law.
He would demonize anyone who disagreed with him.
He claims to be a conservative but always pushes for police state like conditions and routinely distorts and twist facts to support his agenda. Yes he even denies Georgia invaded Ossetia.
When I informed him I would post his views here, he suggested I include the need for police to be equipped with bazookas and tanks to patrol the streets and an 8pm curfew.
Because he suggest I would only get 7 people to read this information on this blog I thought I would share this with you and let you call into his radio program to let him know what real Americans think of his plan for Martial Law for all.

I live in Helena-West Helena not by choice, but because of a personal situation I’m in for those of you who haven’t read my previous posts I am the person who sent this story to Paul Watson and I am grateful for infowars choosing to report this story because it is unique form other civil violations that have occurred across the country because what we have here is an executive order issued by a mayor that probits people of ALL AGES at ALL TIMES to not go out of their homes even within their own property along with many other disgusting tactics and in recent developments today the mayor is trying to extend this to cover large sections within the twin cities. Through my research I have not found another example of a case where a mayor has ordered what is essentially martial law for this reason with these orders for this amount of time. I am aware of the types of cases that Steve has reported above, but if anyone has any information of a case similar to this please post it here to my attention. Now the other things that I would like for people to know having read a couple of peoples posts, is that ALEX IS NOT FEAR MONGERING FOR PROFIT. As far as I know I am the only person on this thread born and raised here and that is currently living here. What is being reported on the news across the country and globe is as usual not the full story. Things happening here are far more sinister and as usual there are dark powers working behind the scenes trying to accomplish an agenda. For now I will not say more until my findings have been verified to be 100% accurate. The other thing I would like to get across is that yes it is true that this is one of the very poorest counties in the country and yes the large majority of the people here are dumber than a tree stump, but there are people involved here that are not criminals and they are being treated worse here than any draconian law ridden country that I have ever seen and I’ve been to a lot. So for those of you out there that go along with this sort of thing I remind you that the first phrase of the Declaration of Independence “All men are created equal” is arguably the best-known phrase in any of America’s political documents, as the idea it expresses is generally considered the foundation of American government. This includes the single crackhead mother with 7 kids and the rich farmer with 10,000 acres! You people could probably care less about an international genocide situation just because the people are not like you. They are poor and ignorant. Please look into your heart and don’t be so quick to judge people. Many of the people here you can’t judge their life against your own. I am sick of you. Dear Mayor Valley:
The American Civil Liberties Union of Arkansas is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and defending the rights guaranteed to us by the United States and Arkansas Constitutions. The purpose of this correspondence is to notify you that your city’s emergency curfew orders are unconstitutional, and that enforcement of such ordinance and orders may subject the city to civil liability for violating of the rights of those upon whom the curfew is imposed and enforced.
Chapter 7.12 of the Helena-West Helena City Code pertaining to curfews states:
7.12.01 Civil emergencies The Mayor, at any time a condition has arisen or is imminent, which in his judgment constitutes a civil disturbance, riot, insurrection or time of local disaster, may declare a state of emergency and impose a curfew for such time and for such areas as he deems necessary to meet such emergency. Provided, however, such curfew shall not extend for over a period of fourty-eight (48) hours unless extended by a majority vote of the members of the governing body.
On August 7, 2008, you issued an order that all residents of a particular zone of the city be subject to a curfew prohibiting loitering, standing, and “hanging out,” and providing for stop and investigation of all moving traffic. Furthermore, you ordered that Code Enforcement pursue evictions for all persons residing in homes where at least three criminal violations have occurred.
A high crime rate in Helena-West Helena is not a condition set forth in the city code for which the Mayor can declare a state of emergency, and as such it appears you are acting ultra vires. Peaceful, law abiding citizens are being ordered into their homes by law enforcement, underscoring that the situation in your city has not reached riot or natural disaster proportions. Were the city code to grant you the authority to declare a curfew on all citizens, the code would be unconstitutional, as set forth below.
This order is blatantly unconstitutional on numerous grounds. First, such curfews have never been allowed under the laws of the United States, barring riot, insurrection, or natural disaster. Not one case has ever allowed for the imposition of searches, seizures, and house arrest against innocent citizens because of the high crime rate in a particular city. See, e.g. American Civil Liberties Union of West Tennessee, Inc. v. Chandler, 458 F.Supp. 456 (W.D. Tenn. 1978). In fact, “state of emergency” curfews imposed upon youth aimed at addressing youth crime have been declared unconstitutional. Ramos v. Town of Vernon, 353 F.3d 171 (2d Cir. 2003); Nunez v. City of San Diego, 114 F.3d 935 (9th Cir. 1997); Hutchins v. District of Columbia, 942 F.Supp. 665 (D.D.C. 1996); Walters v. Barry, 711 F.Supp. 1125 (D.D.C. 1989); McCollester v. City of Keene, 586 F.Supp. 1381 (D.N.H. 1984); Johnson v. City of Opelousas, 658 F.2d 1065 (5th Cir. 1981); Naprstek v. City of Norwich, 545 F.2d 815, 818 (2d Cir. 1976); State v. J.P., 907 So.2s 1101 (Fla. 2004); City of Sumner v. Walsh, 148 Wn.2d 490 (2003).
Second, requiring adult residents of the city to be on house arrest violates these individuals’ rights to travel and association, as guaranteed by the United States Constitution. Third, the very language of the Order violates the Fourth Amendment to the United States Constitution, in that, in effect, it proclaims that the Fourth Amendment is waived for all persons, including those suspected of no criminal activity. The warrant requirement of the Fourth Amendment is in place specifically to prohibit these kinds of sweeping searches. Law enforcement, even in areas where there are higher crime rates, is not a sufficient basis upon which to place people on house arrest, or set aside the Fourth Amendment.
Fourth, the Order likely violates Helena-West Helena residents’ rights to equal protection under the laws. “[O]nce curfews are imposed, the burden falls disproportionately on minority individuals and communities.” Harvard Note, “Juvenile Curfews and Gang Violence: Exiled on Main Street,” 107 Harvard L. Rev. 1693, 1707 (1994). The order to evict all residents of homes where at least three crimes have occurred violates residents’ rights to association as guaranteed by the First Amendment to the United States’ Constitution. Finally, most loitering ordinances and arrests also violate constitutional guarantees. Papachristou v. Jacksonville, 405 U.S. 156 (1972).
Notwithstanding the City Code and Curfew Order, the residents of Helena-West Helena have the right to sit under shade trees in their front yard, to ride their bicycles along the streets, protest this policy, and drive around the city with the full protections of the First, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendments. Citizens, including those expressing opposition to the curfew order, should be subject to no special scrutiny by law enforcement unless they are suspected of some criminal activity.
Mayor, we sympathize with the need to address crime in your city, and have many good friends and members in Phillips County and Helena-West Helena. We certainly do not seek to detract from law enforcement using their lawful authority under the Fourth Amendment to stop, question, detain, or arrest those who are suspected of committing criminal acts, but violating law abiding citizens’ constitutional rights is counterproductive to quelling unrest. Citizens receiving unlawful orders tend to object, and enforcement of this order may inflame an already problematic situation. We urge you to immediately cease any curfews imposed due to high crime rates, whether in the entire city, or in a particular zone, and to dismiss any prosecution initiated for violation of the curfew order. The reason they decided to do this was because that town and it’s govt. is corrupt and broke. And with the increase in crime, they decided to do the most expedient and that was the lock down of the black areas. As that black women said, saying it’s okay for this to be done because she can feel safe. Wait until her sons or daughters start to get messed with when they go outside, or miss curfew. I think this is just another way for them to make money and secondly, garbage in equals garbage out (software term). If you put an ignorant and narrow minded person into office, don’t be surprised that he will do ignorant and short sighted things. I know the type of people like this woman, at whatever cost make the neighborhood safe and god will take care of the rest. Using crime as a basis for martial law and a 24/7 curfew is dangerous because anyone leaving their homes is automatically a criminal, subject to arrest or death. It’s just like marijuana legislation: the penalties imposeed by the government on those breaking the law SHOULD NOT be worse for the individual than the act itself. We’re all criminals in this country. Everyone has broken the speed limit, jaywalked, dropped a piece of litter… Like the cops say: Everyone is guilty of something, we just need time to find out what it is. Heck, even the justice system is in on it. There is no more “declared innocent”, today you are declared “Not Guilty of This Specific Crime”…

i just want to let everyone know that in the past couple of days a lot of blackhawk activities have been sighted around lunken airport on the east side of cincinnati ohio its a private air port often having corporate jets come in and out….and then i personally saw a shipment of humvees being railed along the ohio river at the same point on the kentucky side of things…something is going on and no one in the news is even saying anything about it leaves me to wonder

My heart goes out to the residents of Helena-West Helena. I wish there was a way that I could comfort you. Unfortunately, I can’t only God can. It is so sad to see, especially since I found out about the dentention camps that they have set up all around the USA. This is probably just a practice run to them, but to the residents it is very real. Unfortunately, if the country keeps heading in the direction that it is, then things will only get worse. This is prophecy being fulfilled. These things are happening because what was written in the Bible must come to pass. So strengthen your faith at this time because only the Most High can help us with what is to come. I hope and pray that things will only get better. However, I don’t see that happening. If anything, it’ll only spread like a plague to other towns and then to other cities. So stay strong and keep your heart and mind on God and on his Son Jesus the Christ, for they are the only ones who can save us. Peace to you all. You are in my prayers.

Poor Martha Coleman. Wait until she needs to get food and can’t go. Let’s see then if she thinks this “marshall law” is a great thing!
Notice this was enforced in a black neighborhood, the most defenceless people who have been denied, because of poor schools, the basic critical thinking skills to really understand what is happening. They wouldn’t have gotten away with this that easy in a more educated white neighborhood.
This mayor seems to be on a power trip, like some $10 per hour security guard. I bet he is a devout christian as well. Sounds like one of those church of god in christ people.

You know I hear people talk about un-American. Well here’s the truth that some of you out there seem to have missed. There is no more America. The president said it himself “the Constitution is a piece of paper”. The people are the only ones who think that we have rights. When so many bills have been passed, so many lies have been told, and so many people has been murdered in the name of a country that to the politicians doesn’t even exist. America, Canada, and Mexico has already been united into the North-American union. That’s probably one of the reasons why the gov’t won’t crack down on illegal immigration. In their minds these illegals are legal and the rest of Americas population just didn’t get the memo. The time to make a change has unfortunately passed and the only way we’ll be saved is through faith in the Most High and his son Jesus the Christ. We all agree that the situation is bad as only going to get worse, however, what can we do. If we react peacefully in protests all the gov’t will do is to continue to laugh and if we react in violence then even more will probably die. I just think that this is pointless. We talk and talk and nothing has changed. They have already poisoned us and will continue to do so. All politicians are greedy, evil, and don’t care for the people. So instead of talking about how bad things are and how they will only get worse (kinda like I’ve been doing). We need to come up with a way to help the situation. Otherwise we are all just blowing hot air.

When the president is in the mood then he will put those same bills into effect and then we’ll see just how much rights we truly have. Yes at one point we didn’t have freedom or at least the illusion of freedom. However, things have changed. When cops get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law for murdering US citizens in cold blood, then you can talk about freedom and rights. There are many truths about what’s going on. Well, I guess some people must stand up and be counted for what they believe are their inalienable rights. I suppose a mother who is grief striken with the loss of a child may find martial law to be reasonable, however there are certain things we are granted, nay, things we are bron into and willingly demand. Like the articles listed in the constitution, those are the ideals and LAWS that engender peace and industry in these our continental United States. And they state that cetain things are ABSOLUTELY neccesary, like communion among the citizens. Sure they could wanna sell Meth to your daughter, OR they could be making plans for what is going to be the worst economic shut down in modern history. I see this as a precident for other communities to follow if the “mayor” is not already following the precident set by D.C. Myself, I agree with Chuck, who has stated his belief on the matter here, arm the citizens so they can fire at the people firing at them. I bet drug dealers will think very hard about who they try to intimidate when the citizenry are armed and willing to bust slugs at the aggressor. See, we are approaching a turning point, where the 1920’s germans once stood but instead of combating the corruption that brought about the holocaust they willingly gave into the official decrees and propaganda that made them feel less like patriots and more like victims. I do believe though that a city, county or state should have to meet with the federal government and/or FBI, the U.S. Attorney General and the Governor and State Attorney General to, in a way, get approval for the martial law. If approved it should be carried out under strict guidelines.
John McCains comments are typical, I believe, for John McCain. For the Republicans, John’s selection to be the presidential condidate was more like “I’m getting old and this would be the last chance for me to be president before I retire and you’ve been putting me off for years”. After years of being put off by the Republican party, I think, they said, OK we really don’t have any quality candidate this time. I see John more as a puppet. To be the candidate he had to agree to the parties position on the issues but he can make only minor changes in how he’ll handle those issues. His comments on handling inner city crime is alarming.
I have no problem with checkpoints. Cities where “prelaw enforcement” is being used have had large drops in crime.
When looking at the democrats and republicans over the past 20 years and their appeal for a 2 party system….well there belief in a 2 party system prompts me to add a 3rd party because there 2 party system has screwed us royally. I believe this year I will be leaning towards voting for the Constitution Party (Chuck Baldwin/Darrell Castle). I’m still waiting to hear more details on their economic plans and I wish they would abandone the quick withdrawal of Iraq, and the attempt to close down federal law enforcement agencies. But overall in comparison to the democratic and republican nominees it is a safer choice and a better choice by far.
Checkout constitutionparty.com and learn something. As to my family (8 of us) we are going to vote differently this election meaning we are going to give a 3rd party a chance to realign and give the other 2 parties a reality check that they don’t have the citizens of the US locked into the just their 2 parties. If they can’t develop decent candidates to do the right things for us that we will hire someone else to get done what needs to get done. I think the democrates and republicans need to get laidoff their jobs or replaced by someone new like the rest of us to see how it feels.

I find in interesting that the people running this site talk about internet censorship however I posted a comment here and it is not listed in the comments. When I try and post it again it tells me I posted that already. I would call them on their hypocrisy. Or, they could fix the problem and stop censoring me by omission. Hypocrites.
