Matthews, SPLC Propaganda Minister Gang Up On Oath Keepers

Chris Matthews, Democrat operative and former Carter speechwriter, and Mark Potok, director of the fear-mongering Southern Poverty Law Center’s Intelligence Project, ganged up on Stewart Rhodes of the Oath Keepers the other day on MSNBC.
Out of the gate, Matthews tried to portray Rhodes as a gun nut and a rightwing extremist. He characterized Oath Keepers as a “vigilante group” and attempted to connect the organization to the “birthers” and the shooting at the Holocaust museum in Washington by a deranged white supremacist.
Matthews standard tactic is to put words in the mouths of the guests he is assigned to malign and discredit and then allow them a few seconds to respond and defend themselves before interrupting and moving on to the next accusation disguised as a question.
Matthews, a former police officer with the United States Capitol Police, has the interview finesse of a bullying cop interrogator. He accused Rhodes and the Oath Keepers of stockpiling weapons to be used in a plot to attack the federal government.
Rhodes emphatically stated that the Oath Keepers are not organizing people to engage in armed rebellion against the government. Oath Keepers are asking police officers and military personnel to disobey orders that violate the Constitution.
Matthews accused Rhodes and the Oath Keepers of harboring paranoid fantasies about foreign troops on U.S. soil.
In fact, foreign troops have conducted training exercises and other functions with the U.S. government within the United States.
In July, the FEMA website admitted the presence of foreign troops inside the country when it posted a factsheet about National Level Exercise 2009 (NLE 09). The NLE 09 exercise focused “on terrorism prevention and protection, as opposed to incident response and recovery” and included the participation of troops from Australia, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom. The NLE 09 “scenario enables participating senior officials to focus on issues related to preventing terrorist events domestically and protecting U.S. critical infrastructure,” according to the factsheet.
In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, armed Mexican troops were brought into the United States under cover of providing aid to the victims.
In November, 2005, Congressman Ron Paul appeared on the Alex Jones Show and expressed concern that foreign troops are mobilizing outside and inside America to be used as assets in a martial law takeover. “It’s a horrible precedent and it’s all part of the NAFTA scheme and globalization and world government,” Paul told Jones.
Matthews also dismissed the fact there are concentration camps in the United States. He shares this task with Glenn Beck and Popular Mechanics.
In January, HR 645 was introduced in the House. The bill would authorize the Department of Homeland Security to set up a network camp facilities located on military bases to be used to intern U.S. citizens in the event of a national emergency.
“Beginning in 1999, the government has entered into a series of single-bid contracts with Halliburton subsidiary Kellogg, Brown and Root (KBR) to build detention camps at undisclosed locations within the United States. The government has also contracted with several companies to build thousands of railcars, some reportedly equipped with shackles, ostensibly to transport detainees,” write Dan Hamburg, a former former Democratic Party Congressman and Green Party Gubernatorial candidate from California, and Lewis Seiler for The San Francisco Chronicle.
The KBR camps are part of a Homeland Security plan called Endgame, which sets as its goal the removal of “all removable aliens” and “potential terrorists.”
The government has planned to intern American citizens for some time. Readiness Exercise 1984 (REX-84) is an emergency response program involving the implementation of martial law, the movement of civilian populations and the arrest and detainment of segments of the population. A rehearsal of the program was carried out April 5-13, 1984. It was led by FEMA and the Department of Defense and involved the coordination of 34 other federal departments and agencies.
More recently, the Military Commissions Act was passed by Congress. It permits the government to imprison indefinitely individuals the president deems “enemy combatants.” It also denies non-military tribunal judicial review of detainment.
It’s too bad Matthews did not give Stewart Rhodes a chance to mention any of this.
Mark Potok of the SPLC said the Oath Keepers is a group “driven by conspiracy theories… very much like the militia conspiracy theories.”
For Potok and the fear-mongering cottage industry known as the SPLC, “militia” is a codeword for white supremacist racism. It also raises the specter of the government operative and patsy Timothy McVeigh and the OK City bombing. It relives the government and corporate media myth of a terrorist militia movement, a myth rekindled recently by the MIAC and DHS reports on “rightwing” terrorism.
As to be expected, Matthews provided scant time for Stewart Rhodes to make his case. But then MSNBC, owned by one of the largest terrorist organizations on the planet — the death merchant General Electric — is not interested in providing a forum for Rhodes and the Oath Keepers. It is about propaganda and fear. It is about portraying constitutionalists as dangerous domestic terrorists.
MSNBC is the “liberal” side of the New World Order’s propaganda machine. Chris Matthews is a prized and handsomely paid operative tasked with slandering and mischaracterizing patriotic Americans opposed to a renegade and unconstitutional federal government.

A real oathkeeper only has to take an oath ONE time to do otherwise is to admit that he had not alwayys been faithful in the past.[after taking the oath the first time]
I never became divorced or unfaithful so to make a show out of retaking the oath would just be so many words. If they are re-taking it because they were,at some time unfaithful then,well and good but their credibility is tarnished.
Nearly all of us will come out fighting when backed into a corner. Oath or no oath, if we love our wife,children,grand-children, liberty,etc. we can not wait till they make the first strike or strikes.

When I first heard about Stewart Rhodes and Oathkeepers… my heart filled with pride. I don’t think any American who loves this country, our Constitution, and way of life… wants to be at odds with the police and military. We look to them as shining examples of honor, courage, and integrity….but when you see story after story of corruption and brutality in the MSM…. it’s hard not to replace those feelings of pride, with fear and distrust.
For MSNBC to attack a group that is doing so much to educate our men and women in uniform about the importance of their Oath to the Constitution… shows how fearful the elite are over losing control of their enforcement class.

Actions are the only thing that are going to win this war, not posting, not talking, not attending meetings, but actually going out into the real world and doing SOMETHING. Posting up fliers and such awakens those who are already on our side, for the most part.

Holy smokes this guy, Chris Matthews, is full of it. He is truly an excellent display of the arrogance and indecency the elitists project unto us. After reading this pansy’s bio on Wikipedia, my suspicions were confirmed that he has not served in the military. However, he was a Capitol Police Officer at one time and has no excuse for the kind of response and repudiation of what the Oath Keepers stand for. As an oath keeper of the highest degree, I feel that Stewart Rhodes is just reiterating what so many of us has sworn to do…to “protect the Constitution agains enemies foreign and domestic”. This is a nation of checks and balances, it is up to our uniformed men and women to proceed with that mindset within their organization and ranks.

I believe the average viewer is going to become curious about Oath Keepers, rather than ridicule them, after this episode. Matthews is bending over backwards to twist Oath Keepers’ philosophy. The Southern Poverty guy is hypocritical (besides ugly as hell) – his organization’s causes are legitimate but Oath Keepers’ causes are not?

I have a feeling that all these readiness exercises and the like are being done in preparation for the collapse of the dollar and switch over to either the Amero or SDR’s. When people realize that what little they have will now be devalued by at least 5 times then the masses will finally wake up and freak out. I would think that being police and military personnel that they have a little more planning and strategizing in the works than bumrushing a small event and showing their hand. In the big picture the G20 was a small event and that they have bigger fish to fry. They are probably studying the enemy the way that the enemy is studying us. In the meantime they are hopefully strengthening their ranks and putting together a game plan. This Oathkeeper refused to get sucked into answering Mathews strategic questions which says to me that he was well aware of the tactics that would be used against him and he practically ambushed Mathews.

The woman that watched my kids just came down with an illness.. She had a fevor so she went to the doctor.. The same day she called and said that she wouldnt be available to watch the kids..

She said no no no, they didnt give me a vaccine or a shot or anything, they gave me medicine called Tamiflu and im all better now! I about s--- and said “Are you f---ing serious? Tamiflu is Swine flu” She then said no no no its not, they didnt give me a shot.. I then said, NO s--- did they spray it up your nose, thats for swine flu!!!! Then the phone was silent…
At any rate.. Docotors are giving it to idiots that dont know any better… Its criminal!!!!!!!!

I started following politics a few years back and watched “Hardball” quite a bit, I thought Chris M was effective at getting to the “truth” and didn’t get pushed around like the other “journalists” on tv. After Obama was elected, it couldn’t be more obvious what a POS he really is. He obviously has no interest in the truth or integrity, between promoting the “race” nonsense and a number of other topics poorly, this is the icing on the cake, what a complete sellout.
I’m not a huge fan of police in general, but I oathkeepers are the exception, these are what real police are supposed to be, and to watch Chris M try to just pick a fight and insinuate nefarious motives just pisses me off.
Makes me wish I could reach through the cable and choke the s--- out of him.

Why wait? The reason these minions have no qualms is they have assured themselves that there is no potential price to be paid for their perfidy. This is prima facie evidence that there really is no so-called home grown terrorists.
I must confess to being guilty of frequently daydreaming about what the consequences would be of a covert group bringing some of these criminals to a quiet place where they will be secretly tried by a panel of citizens (certainly to be more constitutional than their official counterpart). There would be no abductions, only an invitation to a “party” or other event with them only later finding out that they are the guest of honor(sic). I am not advocating punishment of these asshats. They should merely be informed of the counterrevolutionary courts’ verdicts and released with the assurance of eventual sentencing.
The verdicts of these courts should then be widely published on trusted websights. I feel confident that the word of what these geniuses are potentially bringing on themselves will soon make the rounds among them( as well as around the water cooler) and perhaps they will engage in their long overdue introspection. As long as these people can continue to delude themselves that all their BS is no more than a harmless childrens’ game that ridiculously enriches them they will continue to betray the rest of us. Their “blood money” should be defined as something which has a potential cost in terms of their own blood.

As a member of the Oath Keepers, and a Vietnam Veteran, with fifteen years of military service, and a 100% disabled veteran, I have found it very disturbing that the present administration, and others within the establishment in Washington have tried to do everything within their power to employ the public at large to question the intent and the loyalty of not only the Oath Keepers, but all veterans.
Anyone with a half-a-brain should be able to see that something serious is adrift for them to even attempt to consider trying to portray veterans as nothing more than radicals, racist, and terrorist. Could it be that they realize that we veterans, unlike they have shown, took our oath to the Constitution seriously and that we also took an oath to defend our country from any enemy, foreign or domestic, and that what really scares them the most, because they know they really are enemies of our nation?
I especially know no combat veteran or any other veteran for that matter, who relishes the idea of another conflict, be it on a large or small scale, and would much rather see all of the issues now lie in front of us settled in a constitutional manner, be it through the ballot box or the judicial system, unfortunately each day that passes puts we the American people further behind the “eight ball,” as we see the wealth of our nation that we fought and our fellow soldiers died for, usurped from us and the generations to follow, right before our very eyes. We see the rights and privileges that we are all guaranteed under the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, being stripped from the citizenry. Would not and should not any patriot, who realizes this be alarmed, and draw attention to what is happening; and should the cause arise stand and if need be fight, to preserve our Republic? Isn’t that the obligation of every patriot, who has pledged allegiance to the Constitution and the Republic, against any enemy; foreign or domestic? Would to do otherwise not be treason?

This summer I had a black OH58 [scout chopper] fly below tree top level with no markings toward my house when I looked at them they turned around and left they were close enough for me to se what they were wearing the wore regular preppy clothes and normal hair cuts. I really wish Alex would cover this issue because I’ve seen many aircraft over head but never so close and it seemed like mine was the only house they were interested in.

Even before I knew all about the NWO and was in the Army; I hated Chris Matthews. I didn’t know why but now I certainly do. What a d’bag to the highest degree. And the SPLC guy is such a puke.
Stewart Rhodes was way more cordial than I could ever be. The way Chris Matthews disrespected him and belittled him was troubling. I would have liked to see Stewart be a little more aggressive. I know that might have been out of line, but he did get a little peeved toward the end when he called the SPLC d’bag out. That was good to see. It’s one thing to have a courteous debate, but when the guy is bullying you around you have to stick up for yourself. He let Chris “I”m a phoney” Matthews control the conversation. What’s sad is I don’t think “average Joe” watches this interview and thinks “WOW, Oath Keepers are right by golly!” I know too many people who are average Joes and eat all the gov’t s--- and they watch that stuff and say, “That guy Stewart is crazy. Chris is right. Plus, he’s racist!” It’s sad but true.
I applaud Stewart Rhodes for putting out a positive message that should be followed, but I think he needs to be more aggressive. How many times did he ask Chris Matthews a question, and CM just kept talking and never answered the question? I know to us in the know, it’s obvious CM didn’t want to answer the question, but to the brainwashed masses watching this crap they don’t see through the BS.
I’m just pissed and fired up after watching both clips. It was a disgusting interview. When Chris Matthews asked Stewart “How many hours do you think about this stuff throughout the day?”, Stewart should have replied “As many hours as you think about your ratings going down the toilet!”

This kind of news show host is an example of why I no longer watch these “so called T.V. news programs”. Chris should be proud of himself. He has fulfilled his contractual obligation to use his position of power to bully, belittle, smear and berate a true patriot.
I am still left with the question of “why?”. Does Chris Matthews truly have no inkling of what is going on underneath the surface in our country and the rest of the world? I have to wonder if chris matthews purchases insurance and if so, WHY? does he expect something catastrophic to happen? If he doesn’t expect something catastrophic to happen, why purchase insurance?

an oath is fundamental to our system of law, it is the solemn word of the free individual, a promise to keep to one’s decision and resolve.
asking anyone to break a solemn oath they have undertaken is a sin.
in the new testament jesus recognizes the permanent nature of an oath, and advises his followers to avoid them. let your yes be yes and your no be no. this is how to stay out of hell.

If you’re going to be on National television get your facts in mind and answer Matthews questions. YES the federal government (Most politicians) have violated their oaths… Cite a few cases this can’t be tough… Yes the US Patriot Act violates the oath of office… Both Parties voted for Bail outs against the constitution. Both Parties Support Foriegn Wars. B oth Parties support Gun Control. Yes Federal Health care violates the constitution. Yes most of, if not all of, Homeland Security violates the constitution… Wire-tapping violates the Constitution. The way The government disarmed the Citizens in the floods of Katrina violated the constitution Most Executive orders violate the constitution. FEMA camps violate the constitution.
And so on…. Oh well another day…

Although Matthews was in rare form, Rhodes did not do a good job making his points and nullifying Matthews ridiculous assertions. If he plans on bringing Oathkeepers to the mainstream, he needs to be much faster in his responses and probably should bone up on the history of tyranny, both in the US and abroad.
Matthews made him look like the paranoid schlub that he is not. Rhodes does such a good job on Patriot radio that I’m shocked at how badly he allowed the Matthews-Potok Express to steam roll him like that.
