| U.S. Gen. Stanley McChrystal | |
There is a curious phenomenon taking place in the American media at the moment: the lionization of Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the American military commander in Afghanistan. Although he has taken a few lumps for playing politics with the White House, McChrystal has generally been sold to the American public as a “Zen warrior,” a counterinsurgency genius who, if simply left to his own devices, will be able to radically transform the ongoing debacle that is Afghanistan into a noble victory that will rank as one of the greatest political and military triumphs of modern history. McChrystal’s resume and persona (a former commander of America’s special operations forces, a tireless athlete and a scholar) have been breathlessly celebrated in several interviews and articles. Reporters depict him as an ascetic soldier who spouts words of wisdom to rival Confucius, Jesus and Muhammad.
The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff sent Gen. McChrystal to “fix” the war in Afghanistan in the way that his boss, that earlier military prophet Gen. David Petraeus, “fixed” Iraq. Whether by accident or design, McChrystal’s mission became a cause célèbre of sorts for an American media starved for good news, even if entirely fabricated, coming out of Afghanistan. One must remember that the general has accomplished little of note during his short tenure to date as the military commander in Afghanistan. His entire reputation is built around the potential to turn things around in Afghanistan. And to do this, McChrystal has said he needs time, and 40,000-plus additional American troops. There are currently around 68,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan. McChrystal’s request would raise that number to around 110,000 troops – the same number as the Soviets had deployed in Afghanistan at the height of their failed military adventure some 20 years ago.
McChrystal, or more accurately, his staff, has authored a not-so-secret report that outlines the reasoning behind this massive increase in American military involvement in Afghanistan. Rightly noting that the American-led effort is currently failing, McChrystal argues that only a massive infusion of U.S. troops, and a corresponding “surge” of American civilians, can achieve the stability necessary to transform Afghanistan from the failed state it is today. A viable nation capable of self-government, the new Afghanistan could maintain internal security so that terrorist organizations like al-Qaida will not be able to take root, flourish and once again threaten American security from the sanctuary of a lawless land. This concept certainly looks good on paper and plays well in the editorial section. And why shouldn’t it? It touches on all the romantic notions of America as liberator and defender of the oppressed. The problem is that the assumptions made in the McChrystal report are so far removed from reality as to be ludicrous.© 2009 Alex Jones | Infowars.com is an Alex Jones company. All rights reserved.

I have read the same thing – Tillman was going to spill the beans about all the opium production over there, no?
And McChrystal was brought in after McKiernan was mysteriously “fired”. Obama kept Bush’s military man, Robert Gates, so to expect the Warz to remain the same, if not escalated, should only surprise the personality cultists.

Official quotes by the Times describe President Hamid Karzai as a “mafia-like figure” receiving assistance from the Bush/Obama administration to eliminate any and all opposition or threat through the CIA employing his drug-kingpin brother Ahmed Wali Karzai.

It is so hard to accept that our top leaders, including all the bush family, Clintons, and now Obama are truly major players in the international illegal drug trade.
However, the facts point to it very strongly.
What do we do with top drug dealers that are responsible for murders and death of children ? Well, we execute them. So what should we do with the Bushes, Clintons and Obama, as well as a few thousand others ? A consistent policy of justice requires that they be executed.

WW I ? Of what use was that to the American people. The British and the Jewish bankers pulled us into that for their own selfish ends.
If we had stayed out of WW I, it would have ended in a draw and the onerous conditions would not have been placed upon Germany. WW II would not have occurred, certainly not as it did.

Brzezinski is actually rather typical of the top international policy makers. Kissinger is much like him. When a person achieves the higher ranks he is “playing hard ball with the big boys” and must be a “realist” or loose respect in these ruling circles. At that level all hope and goodwill is dead. It is really just a sophisticated extension of the predatory animal world – kill or be killed.
These people are really no performing at the highest human potential, which is based upon mutual respect and in fact love. These boys are way off the mark and are actually sociopatheic teenagers at heart. Unfortunately, we all live at their mercy to some extent.

I have as yet NOT heard anyone tell me just exactly what it is that we expect to WIN in Afganistan? Is our presence there going to make the United States any safer? Why not try controlling our borders? Wouldn’t that actually make our country safer than our presence in a shit-hole country half a world away?
One of the talking-heads on CNN was saying this morning that each additional soldier sent to Afganistan could cost $500,000 each in the long run of the war. And this benefits our poor, broke country? How???
I was one of those ‘privileged’ enough to participate in our victory in Vietnam. (The only ones who won anything there was the elites, their already rich defense contractor buddies and the politicians who knew enough to invest in the right companies.

wars of liberation only work if the people involved want to be liberated. muslims are muslims first. the afghans have been fighting foreign occupation since the time of the ancient greeks. the brits tried and failed. the russians used brutality and genocide and they too failed. americans as a group have been pampered for too long. like their forebears before them, the people of this country will tire of the cost in lives and treasure and will demand to pull out. americans have lost the knack of being the tough guy, especially when they are facing real tough guys. the afghans will fight to the last man to throw you out of their country. americans don’t have the heart to employ terror tactics ergo they will lose. you may not lose a battle but you have weak stomachs as a people. once enough soldiers die and families start protesting the politicians will take notice and withdraw. credit the vietnamese with learning this about us. america since vietnam has eventually pulled out of every conflict we have had once the expense and cost in bodies mount. no one remember somalia? how about iraq where we are in the process of cutting and running. as it now stands our troops there are now camped out on their bases and not even allowed to go out on patrol without the approval of the iraqi military. yet, for all our toil there, all the major oil contracts have now been awarded to the chinese. think about that one for a minute, 4000 dead, 287 billion spent to date, and we get kicked out with not a dime to show for it. no wonder we are heading for bankruptcy. of course we will all live long enough to see more of our soldiers uslessly slaugtherd, billions more of money we don’t have wasted, and millions more american kids becoming drug addicts as the fruits of the afghan poppies come flooding across our still open borders. i once thought americans would wise up, see what was happening for themselves, rise up, and throw off the shackles. i no longer have such illusions. enjoy your serfdom people.

Let me try to add a little perspective to this Quagmire, if you will. First we start with the fact that the People, who called their agencies with the badges, to investigate the strange behavior of foreign speaking individuals at flight schools. They were shunned. Compromising the Security of which this great country stood for. Then comes the un-security of our air free zones. Not only did these planes hit the buildings on 9/11, but they disappeared, buildings and all, into a roiling cloud of dust. Within seconds. Are you still with me here? An illusion? Wait! A third building drops, in an uninhibited gravitational free fall, within seconds, disappearing into yet another roiling cloud of dust. An investigation called scoop and dump. Get it yet? What happened to the Emergency Broadcast System? Anybody?
An administration is allowed to open the 21st Century by going after one man and his gang, by bombing countries. Calling for a War on Terror, when War is terror in itself. The good and the bad die. It’s ugly. it’s obscene, it’s evil. For when you turn the hearts of men black with fear and hate (especially at the loss of loved ones) they think revenge gain even unto losing ones own life in that gain. It’s a sad day in hell folks. To send our young men and women into that quagmire. To try and not believe that weapons dealers are profiteering. Pharma and there drugs (let’s not leave out the most disgusting part), and the prosthesis program. I could go on, but I’m assuming you get the picture.

THE EMPIRE ITS OWN WORSE ENEMY
[A Blog worth Reading & Joining the Discussion]
Now, we had a chance to take a look at yet another column on [www.ThinkProgress.Org.], Reconstruction for the [USA] United States of America, under the Matthew Yglesias Blog. It turned out that is sort of split into two directions, well more, but it is well worth taking a peek at, the comments are pretty good, that is if anyone even reads this, which is nuts in itself, It boiled down to The American-Israeli Empire is its own worse enemy, The [EU] European Union and the Community of Nations, should look to their own defense.
[Consummate Global Rogue]
The American-Israeli Empire has come to be recognized as hands down the consummate global community of nations rogue and beyond being its own worse enemy is that of the entire global community, with its interest in profit, wealth and power, at the expense of the entire global community of nations. Not only has Germany declared the Iraq War an illegal war, those Un-Patriotic Tea Party, Americans living outside the Empire, also are declaring the entire Islamic Crescent War for Resources and Markets Illegal, caused by the stationing of Empire forces on the Saudi [Holy Soil] and/or anywhere on the Islamic Crescent. A war that has been paid for on The Red Chinese Credit Card, Don’t have a War without one. And, what did the Empire get in return, well for [$1T/€680B] One-Trillion Dollars/Six-Hundred-Eighty-Billion Euros, it has interest to pay, while The Peoples Republic of China have gained large oil concessions from Iraq, for having displacing as many as [4M] Four Million, wounding, disabling, tens of thousands of Iraqi citizens, while at the same time killing as many as [1M] One-Million. So what does the Empire do, why they just double down, and borrow another [$700B/€477B] Seven-Hundred Billion Dollars/Four-Hundred-Seventy-Seven Billion Euros.
[Empire Military Contraction]
Now, on the [700] Seven hundred some odd Empire overseas bases, in some [300] Three hundred countries especially those located within the [EU] European Union, well it seems the [EU] has little favor with the Tea Party Un-Patriotic Americans, and they feel that the [EU] is all grown up and should be out on their own, especially when it comes to their defense, and its time for the boys to come home [All of them] with the first base closings starting with the; [4] Four in Italy, [4] Four in Germany, and [3] Three in Spain and Portugal, and last but not the least the [5] Five in the [UK] United Kingdom, and not be in a rush to defend them when some tyrant threatens them, but to only become involved as it directly effects the national security of the Empire which most likely won’t exist in its present form. The other countries that this will send a cold shiver down their backs will be The Nationalist Chinese, The South Korean, and last but not least the [SPECIAL RELATIONSHIP] State of Israel.

Afghanistan can be militarily conquered as the Taleban have clearly demonstrated. The west could much more easily conquer Afghanistan without so much as boot on the ground, by hosing it down with VX/Novickok nerve agents. But then the west would become the ruthlessly viscous sub-humans that the Taleban are.
