Media, Bloggers Frame Murder of Census Worker as “Rightwing” Political Crime

It looks like another government psyop designed to discredit and demonize those opposed to the increasing tyranny of the federal government — a census worker was found hanging from a tree in Kentucky with “fed” scrawled on his chest two weeks ago.
On the other hand, it might be the work of a lone psycho killer. But it does not matter. Because the corporate media — hours after news of the incident appeared — is using the tragic event to crank up the propaganda machine and demonize millions of people who support the Tea Party and End the Fed movements.
Either way, the FBI has suggested the crime was politically motivated. AP reporter Devlin Barrett, appearing on “The Rachel Maddow Show” Wednesday, said he did not believe the FBI would be involved if the case weren’t being investigated as a politically motivated murder, Politics Daily reports.
AP reporter Devlin Barrett tells Maddow the FBI is investigating the crime for its political aspect.
“There are always people who have some sort of paranoia about the federal government and the census, but things might be worse this time around,” writes Alex Koppelman for Salon. “There’s been a lot of talk on the right about the connection (always very tenuous, and now severed) between the census and ACORN, a group that’s been conservatives’ favorite bogeyman of late. And Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., has been spreading her own fears about the census, at one point even suggesting a link between the census and Japanese internment during World War II — a frightening parallel for modern conspiracy theorists who fear that the government is setting up similar camps for them now.”
Meanwhile, over at Gawker, Andrew Belonsky blames the opposition directly. “We know that the levels of right-wing vitriol have reached psychotic new heights. But could they really be behind the ‘apparent homicide’ of a Kentucky census worker, William Sparkman? Should we be calling this, as some are, a ‘lynching?’… Sadly, that appears to be the case. And, if this was in fact murder, the death would seem to be targeted — ‘fed’ was, after all, carved into the man’s chest — and some are calling this a modern day lynching.”

The so-called liberal media has engaged in a concerted effort to portray the patriot and constitutionalist movements as “rightwing” terrorism, beginning with the murder of police in Pittsburgh earlier this year by a man the corporate media and foundation bloggers tried to link to Alex Jones. The media continued its effort after a deranged white supremacist allegedly killed a guard at a Holocaust museum. The suspect, James Von Brunn, was characterized as a “birther” and member of the patriot movement. Glenn Beck went so far as to declare Von Brunn was a “hero” of the truth movement. The hysteria reached a fevered pitch in August when Obama attempted to sell his health care plan.
The corporate media went into hyper-drive after Chris Broughton, an Arizona patriot, brought a carbine to an Obama event. Arizona has an open carry law. The media attempted to link Broughton to a supposed “militia” group. Infowars noted at the time that the group was not an organized militia. The media connected Ernest Hancock to the phantom militia. Hancock, an online radio host, is said to have designed the famous “Ron Paul rEVOLution” graphic. By mentioning this, the corporate media conflated Ron Paul with fictional domestic terrorists.
The government is sincerely concerned about the growing patriot movement, in particular the end the Federal Reserve and the Tenth Amendment movements.
As of this writing, there is little evidence indicating the census worker in Kentucky was the victim of a psychological operation designed to demonize the patriot movement. However, it is sincerely odd the man was murdered 24 days ago at exactly the same time the massive Tea Party demo in Washington was taking place.

My heart and prayers go out to this victim’s family and friends. I don’t know much about him, but he probably had a family, maybe even children, that will miss him greatly. And while he was working for a process that I strongly oppose, it certainly does not merrit his murder. I hope with all hope this wasn’t a typical “frame the movement” psyop, but once cannot rule it out. Things are heating up! Keep talking! Talk hard!!

This article is about a man who has just been murdered and all you have to say is to push the agenda of a media whore. Also, Alex Jones is not without human faults, he can certainly be a muck raker, rabble rouser. As he approaches 40, he could become a parody of himself if he doesn’t take time to do some personal soul searching. And everyone who eggs him on toward some insane civil war, will only be like a reckless co-conspiator in his demise. He can either grow spitually, or fall back on misconceptions, the easy road, to play hero. For all the talk about his family, a true hero would save himself for them first. He should take some serious time off and just go devote his life to them, otherwise stop using them as an excuse to fullfill his own ego as he speeds full throtle ahead into the land of the midlife crises. He always mentions, The Twilight Zone, well half of the episodes were dealing with the topic of mid life crises. 40 is a tough place to navigate and shame on you all for greasing the skids for him to satiate your own desire to witness human tragedy. If you love Alex, then help him. Stop him from self destructing and allow him to go and grow a garden and be with his family for a year or two at least. He is not your daddy, he has three children who need him more.

a lot of people refuse census workers any information other than the number of people who live in a particular residence. It has been a act of protest to throw these guys off your property and cite the Constitution as reason. Now after this incident, I bet if you do throw these guys off your property you’ll be on a terror watchlist as a potential murderer/instigator. This should whip census protesters into place.

it appears to have been done by meth maker’s. it could be used as an excuse for anoyher ruby ridge or waco. the news said he was found on the 12th but i didn’t hear about it till the 23rd and i live only a few counties away. 40 or so people had been arrested for meth a few days before he was found according to a yahoo news story

Libertarians are strictly NON-VIOLENT. Violence only serves to de-legitimize our cause. There is a time and place for violence only if extremely necessary, and only if your life is being threatened.
The worker was innocent, administering census surveys which do not contain personal information, just demographics. You cannot justify his slaughter.
That said, I seriously worry about how the media is attempting to link this murder to those who are anti big-government. That is preposterous.

While his murder is absolutely reprehensible, your statement that Census workers pose no threat to anyone is not entirely accurate. The information they gather and submit to those making policy is, has, and will be used to affect the lives of everyone in this country. This is especially true since now they apparently are recording GPS locations of each household. I can think of only 4 reasons to the government to have your home’s GPS coordinates.
1) Provide the location for a raid on any dissidents that come up within a database.
2) Be used for a artillery strike.
3) Be used for an air strike.
4) Set up dedicated surveillance of your home and all within it from a satellite.
It is true that census workers of this guys level are no physical threat, it does make them dangerous due to the information they provide. If you don’t want to cooperate with the census guys, just run them off or whatever, but there is absolutely no justifiable reason to murder them.

Alan, the folks in the deeeep rural south hate the Federal Government yet the live off of it, just like the inner cities. They have multiple families and names in the same households and each ‘family’ and ‘name’ gets a check from the Fed.
Any naive but trained census taker would see through the ruse and make note of it thereby depriving someone of a Fed check. There is nothing right wing about this. It’s simply perpetuating LBJ’s failed ‘War on Poverty’! Cash from the Fed is a drug and people will kill to get the next fix!!
Federal policies have deprived these people of the old occupations and they have nothing left. No more mining, logging, limited farming etc. The Fed flooded the valleys, made National parks and put great limits on mining. There is only one entity to blame and it isn’t the locals! Blame is too vast and nebulous to name but it is not with the locals. This is no different then any street murder in a city. Senseless to be sure but a result of hopelessness that will only continue.

census workers pinpoint your door step(they are instructed to stand on it) i know,my friend was one. google GPS is not very accurate coordinate wise . it is conceivable that
a satelite could have a zero lock on you front door with the census data for use on(law enforcement with out a warrant,scanning energy hog houses and relaying data to an inspector, etc)

If, yes, you do believe in the concept of “self ownership,” honest people don’t take inventory of other peoples’ possessions, for any reason.

I just had a guy from the natural gas corp. here on my farm. He claimed they were under fed requirement now to walk around your house and check your gasline for leaks. I was half asleep when he came up. I followed him around and he followed my gas line back across the back yard and across garden. He tipped me off that they would be coming back every year to do this. Now, I’m wondering what to do to prevent this in future. I don’t want such people traipsing around here. Also, he said if they found any leak, they would have to fix it themselves, and that means putting a whole new line in from your house out to past 150 ft. away, not a simple patch like I would do.

doc—they and others like meter readers, mailmen road workers and such were put to snooping a decade or more ago. I think it was in 1990 actually, when they came out and said they were looking for anything and anybody that was doing something illegal and they were to report them.

Roaddog6: Yes, you are right. I believe I had a township road grader rat me out for having sewage in a ditch. The system was put in when this house was built in 1929. There was a good septic tank, and the effluent from septic tank was piped under the road and ran into ditch on opposite side and right on into natural draw in field. It caused no problem. But as a result I had to put in a bunch of underground chambers to handle the effluent.
The local “volunteer” small town fire dept’s have been long getting handouts from the Feds, and I believe they have been indoctrinated into being spies and to consider the people their enemy as a result. The guy who delivers the mail here is also a fire chief, so he is a double spy. We always set wheat stubble fields on fire here and pastures, without any government trouble, but recently I set some stubble on fire, and had the local fire dept come out and put it out, and threaten me with the cops, even though they could clearly see it was a controlled burn and I was nearby. They claimed I am supposed to call 911 before I set a fire, but I have never seen such a law, and besides, it is against our common law property rights. They claim that idiots driving down the road see these fires and call 911. But I saw a fire dept. goon out there for an hour before the fire trucks arrived, and he knew full well this was a farmer’s controlled burn, but he brought the fire trucks on out.
I feel like I really need to put up a security fence with a remote controlled locked gate, to keep these people out, but that is expensive. A few years ago, I caught a guy messing down near the road with my phone line stuff, but it was back from the right of way, on my property. I asked him for identification and he didn’t have any, nor was his truck marked. I ran him off, and later the local phone company guy came out and told me they hired such agents to do work for them, and I was supposed to allow him on my property. I told him, they need to alert me ahead of time, and the guy needs to be well identified. These kinds of people will run right over your property rights, unless you actually make it physically impossible for them to enter. The government could easily send out cops and have them pose as utility workers, and also there is the problem that the utility workers themselves are snitches.

I’m sure any guns they see they would consider illegal and they could endeavor to sick cops on you, and they might stumble onto something accidentally where the resident has a record as a felon or domestic violence and isn’t supposed to have any guns, or he could have “illegal machine guns”. I’ve driven people, who were up to no good, off my property with a gun, and had them try to sick the cops on me, as if I did something wrong. In the present martial law climate, in some places, this could precipitate a swat team coming at you.

It had to be more than one guy. Many aspects of this are suspicious. Some are reporting that it happened earlier yesterday, 9/23, some say it happened back on 9/12. It has been reported that more than a little decomposition had occured, so it was probably NOT yesterday. Why hold the story a week and a half? If you just found him, how do you know it happened on 9/12? It was supposedly in Daniel Boone National Forest near a cemetery, with his truck near by and government laptop still inside it. Well, we dont know what really happened, none of us were there, and we also don’t know if he really worked for the census bureau or not. All we got to go on is hear-say. Someone scrawled the word “Fed” on his chest, but frame ups happen all the time. Hell you can put a bag of cocaine in someones car and call the cops on an anonymous tip and get them sent to prison even though the drugs was never really theirs, its in their car and possession is 9/10th’s of the law. This stuff happens every damn day. Im former law enforcement and i can tell you for a fact that if theres someone they dont like, they can get them sent to prison for quite a while just for planting “evidence”. They use this tactic alot whenever they “think” a perp is dirty but have no probable cause to act on, so they “invent” the probable cause. This happens everyday and most civilians dont even know about it.

I abhor loss of life no matter who it is, and while the guy didnt derserve to go out that way, i have yet to see a ME’s report on cause of death and would be greatly skeptical even if i had. Theres just too much shady stuff going down these last several years. The problem with conspiracy theories, is that you never really know if any of it is true or not. I think the revolutionary cold war has begun, this may be a psy-op or false flag. However over the last month I started noticing that political figures were being found dead and last year someone fire bombed the Texas governors mansion. I do not think this was not the first incident, just the one that made big news. It is very odd with the timing of the story, since it happened on the 12th and two weeks later it is news… Hmmm. Unfortunately people of the world today have gotten soft and probably most wouldnt survive something like that because many people nowadays dont grow their own food, dont make their own milk or have their own dairy cows. Furthermore they could stop all oil from being processed and bring a halt to fuel being distributed, which who of you can honestly say would be able to get anywhere, do any of you have horses or even bicycles? Even if you did and you were single mothers, who would take care of your babies while you were foraging for food? These are things you have to think about before you can ever even consider a revolution. What good is having a revolution if 99% of the people are dead and unable to benefit? If that doesnt bring you down to earth nothing will.

I met the census guy outside my gate and told him the truth, that we do not have an address here, because of the county law, and it is just a total blessing. I told him nobody would ever live here in the sense they wanted, because we like to be how we are. Then I pointed up at the clear blue sky and said, there’s your answer amigo. We are required to have street numbers, but not if the county won’t give you an address because you are outside the box. The satellite and helicopter surveillance goes on and we just roll with it…..don’t do anything in reaction and keep cool and let these f---ers run out of gas. then they will be out in the open exposed and the tables will turn very fast.

My prayers for the family. I doubt he was killed by the FEDs. The article said he was in the Daniel Boone National Forrest. I would think he stumpled onto a Weed Patch or Meth lab, or even more far fetched, some reliefers scamming welfare. The thing that sounds strange is why he was hung? That doesn’t sound right. He’d most likely would have been blown away. Lynching usually requires 3 or more people and is more work than they’d probably do. I can see someone carving FED on him though. They sould be able to recover usable DNA, so we’ll see. More far out, maybee he had his own patch and the compititon wacked him. Them dope growers are pretty territorial, and tis would explain why he was so far from his vehicle. Someone from the area please keep us informed.

I highly doubt this was the work of tea-baggers. I resent that because I have family and friends who are teabaggers. I never heard anyone of them saying you should kill a censes worker.
