Media Smearing of Truth Movement Reaching a Crescendo

Recent months have seen numerous breakthroughs for the truth movement in the corporate media, from Fox 26’s interview with Richard Gage of Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth to 9/11 Press For Truth being aired on local television in Colorado to coverage of this year’s Bilderberg conference in major British newspapers. Despite these positive developments, however, primetime TV dramas are continuing to portray those skeptical of the official 9/11 story (a clear majority of the American public according to poll after poll) as deranged terrorists who are likely to commit acts of violence.
An example of this phenomenon comes from the crime series Law & Order: SVU. A recent episode of the series featured a storyline in which a deranged "conspiracy theorist" in New York murders tourists taking his picture because he believes they are uploading the pictures to a government database. In a classic example of guilt by association, the investigators’ search of the deranged terrorist’s computer reveals that he visits online forums and is interested in 9/11 truth and "Bildurburg" (sic). Attempts to portray those in the truth community as mentally unhinged are by no means new. A&E’s FBI drama The Beast once famously featured an episode in which a dope smoking terrorist delivered a rambling, inarticulate rant about government involvement in 9/11 in an obvious attempt to portray 9/11 truthers as seedy and delusional. Penn & Teller pronounced the entire 9/11 movement to be "Bullshit" on their popular HBO program of the same name by seeking out the movement’s most ridiculous representatives and destroying their character rather than dealing with any substantive claims about the attacks of that day. Glenn Beck—who previously said that Ron Paul supporters were terrorists—has recently discussed how militia members are white supremacists who are likely to commit an anthrax attack in America in order to kill hundreds of thousands of their fellow citizens. And, most chillingly, Beck has tried to link Holocaust Museum shooter Von Brunn to 9/11 Truthers based on no evidence whatsoever.

Ridiculous flights of fancy and transparent media distortions like these would be easy to dismiss if they were not so obviously related to official government talking points and policy papers. Just last week, President Obama tried to equate those who question the government’s account of 9/11 with those who wanted the attacks to happen, saying; "I am aware that some question or justify the events of 9/11. But let us be clear: al Qaeda killed nearly 3,000 people on that day.". This is on the heels of a Missouri State Police report asserting that supporters of third party political candidates are potentially dangerous terrorists and Homeland Security documents painting gun owners and returning war vets as violent radicals.
That the corporate media is echoing the government line on domestic terrorism should come as no surprise to those who have been paying attention to the way government openly uses Hollywood, TV, music, books and other media to insert their propaganda into pop culture. As Episode 088 of The Corbett Report podcast points out, the Bush Administration worked hand in hand with Holllywood and TV in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 to begin whipping up mass hysteria to support the Administration in their disastrous "War on Terror." Of course it is up to those who understand the agenda of demonization of the truth movement in the corporate media to counteract this cultural programming in whatever way possible. Actor Daniel Sunjata, co-star of the hit TV series Rescue Me, has been helping inject serious discussion about the questions that still surround the 9/11 attacks into that series and using his celebrity and intelligence to draw attention to the issue through his writing. He needs to be applauded for his efforts and supported by the truth community to encourage others in similar positions to follow his lead.
For those without a corporate media outlet and devoid of celebrity to draw instant attention to the issue, it is still important to demonstrate to others how the media has always been (and continues to be) used to manipulate public opinion and popular sentiment on a range of issues from 9/11 truth to the importance of flu shots to the reality of global warming. One effective way to do this is by using new media technologies to spread information, by writing articles and creating videos to help people understand how they are being programmed by the corporate media.
To that end, The Corbett Report has released two videos ina n ongoing series dedicated to exposing the way media is used to manipulate, shape and influence public sentiment on key issues. So far, the series has examined Ridley Scott’s Bladerunner and Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World with future installments dealing with Franz Kafka’s The Trial, the Wachowski brothers’ The Matrix and V for Vendetta, L. Frank Baum’s Wizard of Oz, Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 and Eyes Wide Shut and many more well-known books and movies.

The only thing networks care about is money. What you do is complain to the sponsors that advertise during these programs. You tell them that you will not purchase their products or services, and will suggest the same to other consumers, as long as they support garbage programming. Our movement really should try harder to harness the power of organized boycotts. It’s probably the one thing we can learn from the likes of Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson.

Has anyone at the Corbett report read Aldous Huxley’s “Brave New World Revisited”?, a series of essays outlining the inherent inhumanity of chemical persuasion, a scientific dictatorship, and propaganda along with a myriad of other topics? probably not. certainly his family was very involved in the building of the current power paradigm, but to slander Aldous simply because of family relation is ridiculous. his writings are nothing short of invaluable to society.

Maccer, I must say I find your attitude foolish. “Thinking positive” doesn’t change reality, and dropping our weapons is the LAST thing we should do right now. The more people get angry, the more people will be inclined to stand up to the establishment, which is really what is needed. Your attitude of blind positivity ignores the fact that negativity has a place in the world, and is just as important as its opposite. Sometimes we need a little negativity to shake us up and get our heads out of the clouds. Positive thinking won’t do you any good when they kick down your door to drag you off to the camps. Will you think positive when they slap the electrodes on your nipples?
You say we should refuse to fight in their wars, and not play their games anymore. This is all correct, but here’s the thing: they aren’t going to just LET us drop out of their system of control. You have to have the means to enforce your neutrality, hence the weapons.
I agree with you on one thing, though, that everyone needs to focus more upon solutions to these problems rather than just complaining. Here’s my solution to TV subliminal brainwashing: I don’t watch TV. I will watch a movie every once in awhile, but if I notice subliminal messaging in it, I can always just turn it off. Who cares about TV? It means nothing! We don’t need it! I have never had cable in my life and I’m glad of it. TV propaganda is so stupid, we don’t even need to waste time discrediting it. Smart people will see it for what it is, anyway. Let’s concentrate on real life and let these TV people die out like the dinosaurs they are.

On June 4, 1963, a virtually unknown Presidential decree, Executive Order
11110, was signed with the authority to basically strip the Federal Reserve
Bank of its power to loan money to the United States Federal Government at
interest. With the stroke of a pen, President Kennedy declared that the
privately owned Federal Reserve Bank would soon be out of business. The
Christian Common Law Institute has exhaustively researched this matter
through the Federal Register and Library of Congress and can now safely
conclude that this Executive Order has never been repealed, amended, or
superceded by any subsequent Executive Order. In simple terms, it is still
valid.
When President John Fitzgerald Kennedy – the author of Profiles in
Courage -signed this Order, it returned to the federal government,
specifically the Treasury Department, the Constitutional power to create and
issue currency -money – without going through the privately owned Federal
Reserve Bank.
President Kennedy’s Executive Order 11110 [the full text is displayed
further below] gave the Treasury Department the explicit authority:
“to issue silver certificates against any silver bullion, silver, or
standard silver dollars in the Treasury.”
This means that for every ounce of silver in the U.S. Treasury’s vault, the
government could introduce new money into circulation based on the silver
bullion physically held there. As a result, more than $4 billion in United
States Notes were brought into circulation in $2 and $5 denominations. $10
and $20 United States Notes were never circulated but were being printed by
the Treasury Department when Kennedy was assassinated. It appears obvious
that President Kennedy knew the Federal Reserve Notes being used as the
purported legal currency were contrary to the Constitution of the United
States of America. “United States Notes” were issued as an interest-free and
debt-free currency backed by silver reserves in the U.S. Treasury.
In the illustrations below, a “Federal Reserve Note” issued from the
private central bank of the United States (the Federal Reserve Bank a/k/a
Federal Reserve System), is compared with a “United States Note” from the
U.S. Treasury issued by President Kennedy’s Executive Order. They almost
look alike, except one says “Federal Reserve Note” on the top while the
other says “United States Note”. Also, the Federal Reserve Note has a green
seal and serial number while the United States Note has a red seal and
serial number.
President Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963 and the United
States Notes he had issued were immediately taken out of circulation.
Federal Reserve Notes continued to serve as the legal currency of the
nation. According to the United States Secret Service, 99% of all U.S. paper
“currency” circulating in 1999 are Federal Reserve Notes.
Kennedy knew that if the silver-backed United States Notes were widely
circulated, they would have eliminated the demand for Federal Reserve Notes.
This is a very simple matter of economics. The USN was backed by silver and
the FRN was not backed by anything of intrinsic value. Executive Order 11110
should have prevented the national debt from reaching its current level
(virtually all of the nearly $9 trillion in federal debt has been created
since 1963) if LBJ or any subsequent President were to enforce it. It would
have almost immediately given the U.S. Government the ability to repay its
debt without going to the private Federal Reserve Banks and being charged
interest to create new “money”. Executive Order 11110 gave the U.S.A. the
ability to, once again, create its own money backed by silver and real value
worth something.
Again, just five months after Kennedy was assassinated, no more of the
Series 1958 “Silver Certificates” were issued either, and they were
subsequently removed from circulation.
Perhaps the assassination of JFK was a warning to all future
presidents not to interfere with the private Federal Reserve’s control over
the creation of money.

Of course truthers are demonized in the US media. The US media is owned, financed, controlled, staffed, operated, produced, directed, ordered, punished, and fired by the US military contractors. Do you think that a military contractor would want a war to end? Or would want any negative press or views to be expressed that might lead to a public outcry for a war to end?
In the lead up to the invasion of Iraq in 2003…..the US media had a 36-1 ratio of YES to going to war on their programs. For the invasion of Afghanistan it was 110-1. We now know there were no commercial planes on 9/11 and that the invasion of Afghanistan is based on a lie. Just like the invasion of Iraq was based on a lie of WMD’s. There’s no difference. The problem is…even though we KNOW its based on a lie….we are still there and have NO intention of ever leaving.

either you believe 9/11 was a coverup/inside job, or you think 9/11 conspiracy theorists are crazy people, or you haven’t heard about it…the smear campaign is only effective against people who have never heard of 9/11 truth before. The smear campaign is ineffective in changing 9/11 truthers minds, obviously, and as for opponents of 9/11 truth, they already don’t believe in it anyways, mostly because their false patriotism gets in the way of rational thought, so the only thing the smear campaign will do is to try and control everyone else who has never heard of 9/11 truth before. This may work for a time, but any publicity is good publicity and so these “noobs” will hear about 9/11 truth directly from the mouth of the 9/11 truth campaign. In short, thanks Glenn Beck, you could have just said the truth, but I guess this will have to do.

The worst part about all of this is that if you were to “filter out” the ulterior motvation and intent of these works they are good stories…you know decent entertainment unlike the schlock that is being promulgated these days…but I guess that is were “the rub” is.

I found this movie on 911. It takes a couple of hours to watch, but it’s a good synopsis of what happened. You can download it and make copies to give out.
The internet is such a gift. It would have taked twenty five years to get all of this information together in one place. And by that time, all of the people who saw the thing would be sixty and wouldn’t care at all. And now it’s a movie.

Funny how they show 9/12 their movement as if 9/11 truthers support Glenn Beck and Obamas pitch for a National Holiday on 9/12 to cram fake patriotism down our throats.

I left a year and half ago after a year and a half away. I was so happy to leave again. I am still thinking that I need to grow my own food. It is only going to get worse, no matter what we do. God gave us a choice, him or satan, we chose satan, and until we make the decesion to turn back to God this is the way it goes. Thank God that those who turn back will not be here for the worst, but it is going to get bad before that time. You can´t change evil but you can discourage it! Too bad so many people are blind to what is going on. I don´t believe even my own children realize how bad it really is. I have to take care of my elderly parents for now, but I plan on finding a better place after they pass on. Surely somewhere there is an incoruptable government. Yea, Right! Looks like the Mayans were right, the world as we know it will cease by Dec. 2012. All hell may break loose!
