Merck Wins U.S. Approval for Gardasil Vaccine in Boys

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration cleared the vaccine for use in males ages 9 to 26, Merck said today in a statement.
Gardasil protects against a sexually transmitted infection called human papillomavirus, or HPV, that can lead to cervical cancer in women and genital warts and cancer of the penis and anus in men. Gardasil, approved for females ages 9 to 26, is given mostly to school-age girls as a U.S.-recommended routine vaccination. Expanding the shot’s use could revive sales, which declined 5 percent last year, analysts have said.
“This is an important milestone, because the use of Gardasil can now help protect boys and girls and young men and women from certain diseases caused by this common virus,” said Richard Haupt, executive director of Merck Research Laboratories, in the company’s statement.

Does anyone remember them claiming that genital warts cause ball and ass cancer in boys before they came out with gardasil for males? I never needed to research the subject but that sounds like one of those things everyone would have heard by now, like the supposed connection to cervical cancer in women.
Never heard of warts causing cervical cancer before they released Gardasil. If I’m wrong let me know because I would really like to know how much of this is BS.

When the Gardasil shot came out for girls, a lady that works in our local PO ran right out to get her daughter (only child) vaccinated. She’s the typical kind that you can’t talk to about the negative side. I guess that’s to be expected since she works for the US Postal System! The kind that hangs on every word the govt. says. it’s a satanic lie that people can behave any way they _____ well please, and when the consequences hit, there will be some kind of a “cure” for it.
It’s about time people realized that to protect themselves, they have to be RESPONSIBLE for their own behavior and the consequences that come from it. It should be freaking common sense that if sexually transmitted diseases are caused by having sex, then the best way not to get one is to remain pure until marriage and faithful to your spouse afterwards.
I hate to say this, but – DUH – maybe, just maybe, God knew what He was doing when He made sexual purity until and within marriage a safety net? It’s so special that He put fences around it. Go outside the fence, and the wolves rip you to shreds.
And it IS possible for people to control themselves. Have some self-respect, for crying out loud! And especially have some respect for the one you love.

Nothing really surprises me anymore..hell, if we ended up in a “28 weeks later” situation I dont think I’d be surprised. Let’s all just be pincushions and see what kind of mutations and what not we develop. I am being flip of course…just trying for some levity in a situation that isn’t even funny.
I have 2 girls who are 10 and 12, when 2 yrs ago our physician tried to encourage me to get the gardasil vac. for my then 10 yr old, I refused it and boy let me tell you, I was surprised CPS wasnt called. She was so demeaning and basically made me feel like the worlds worst parent. “Dont you care about your daughter?” To which I replied “Of course I do, I care so much that I wont let you put that poison in her body.” But so many parents will just cave and take what the good government gives them.
I know I am the exception, not the rule. I always share my info with people but the programming is just so deep, everyone shakes their heads at me like I am the crazy one. I am just ranting here, but all we can do is take what we know,share with who will listen and run with it.

Victoria: You’d be very surprised at just how many in that age group are well informed! Just about 5 or 6 months ago a group of 5 boys aged 10-12 raped a 10 year old girl in one of the western states. I think it was in Arizona. With the current POTUS wanting explicit sex education taught from kindergarten on up, innocence will be a thing of the past, as will childhood. Their aim is to take parental rights away from parents. My sons are grown, THANK GOD! I have spoken to them about NOT having children. No problem with my oldest, he doesn’t want any. My youngest (23) is having SERIOUS DOUBTS about EVER having children. I am not a bad mother, in fact I’m a very good mother. I have explained to them that there is a part of me that is sorry that I had children, not because I don’t love them, but because I feel guilty for having brought them into a world such as this. I had no way of knowing 27 years ago that this is what would become of the world. They both said that they understood completely. I fear for their futures (if they have one). It would be even worse at this rate for their children.

Merk suggested Gardasil as prevention for children before the warts excuse. They said it could be taken by kids just in case they stuck there tongue you no where. I am not kidding. There’s a document from the FDA that reflected they did not find a connection between HPV and Cervical Cancer. This document is dated previous of Gardasil’s approval. My doctor “diagnosed” me with HPV when I was 22. I have a history of cysts, so I essentially ignored him. He then told me I had cervical cancer. Still, I didn’t believe it. With proper diet, vitamins, and a new doctor who monitored MY progress with MY way of treatment, I’m perfectly fine and 100% able to have children. Had I listened to that first doctor, and society, I’d have had cervix removed.
BE SURE – There isn’t a disorder, disease, illness or infection in this world that God can’t provide a natural cure for! Meds make it all WORSE!
