PUERTO PALOMAS, Mexico — Javier Emilio Pérez Ortega, a workaholic Mexican police chief, showed up at the sleepy, two-lane border crossing here last month and asked U.S. authorities for political asylum.

Behind him, law and order was vanishing fast. In the four months he had served as Puerto Palomas police chief, drug traffickers had threatened to kill him and his officers if they tried to block the flow of cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamines into the United States, his former colleagues said on condition of anonymity.
After a particularly menacing telephone call, his 10-man force resigned en masse. His bodyguards quit, too. Abandoned by his men and unable to trust the notoriously corrupt Mexican authorities, Pérez Ortega turned to the only place he believed he could find refuge — the United States, the former colleagues said.

This is what happen when the American government doesn’t allow it’s own free market, entrepreneurial, Americans to enjoy the fruits that could grow right outside their door. You can’t pick wild mushrooms and pot. But you can go to the drug store and grind up a bunch of cold medicine and make crystal meth. What’s the greater evil. Deregulate some of this stuff and people will buy it from Americans not organized criminals and militarized cartels. Hell people put pot in the same category as meth or crack? Watch that documentary American Drug War: the Last white Hope. We’re not all criminals or are we?

The government runs the drugs as I’m sure most of you already know. We are criminals only in a criminal system. Legalize drugs, put an age limit on them like alcohol, and tax them. We could eliminate the corporate prison industry in large part, eliminate law enforcement in large part, eliminate the deficit in large part, and eliminate the IRS, thus vanquishing the Federal Reserve.

At least some of the Mexican police TRIED to confront the drug running at the high levels, which is a hell of alot more than I can say for US cops AKA “rent a goons”.
Not to diss Jack Mclamb, and the police in “operation vampire killer”. We need all good police to understand what is going on at the high levels.
On Spike network, they have a show called “DEA”, but all they do is bust into poor f---ers houses who are powerless to resist the body armored stormtroopers. The hypocrisy goes so deep, it is off the charts.
In 1993, Robert Bonner, former HEAD of the DEA, announced in an interview on “60 minutes”, that the CIA deals drugs, and he was powerless to stop it. It’s almost like they wanted him to say it, to condition the sheeple that “that’s just the way it is”.
Despite a mountain of evidence, narcotics continue to flow like a river into the US to:
A) Keep the sheeple addicted, stoned, stupid
B) Justify heavy handed excessive law enforcement and flooded prisons
C) Maintain the CIA/mob monopoly on the drug market, maximizing profits

I’m not sure that it is safe to assume there is a difference between notoriously corrupt Mexican authorities and notoriously corrupt American authorities. The drug traffickers likely already have the blessings and financial support of the U.S. Federal Government to bring in their products.

the situation here in mexico is that calderon is fighting against newer and smaller drug cartels that are still fighting and triying to establish themselves in territory that was once claimed by older and more corporate cartels like the arellano felix in tijuana and carrillo in juarez.the martial law that the calderon administration has declared is a total failure,violence has risen as well as human rights abuse,basically the only solution to this internal problem is an eradication of the whole mexican political and law enforcement system…
by the way where tha hell is puerto palomas?,i’ve never heard of the place…
