Michael Crichton — whose books were made into films including “The Andromeda Strain,” “Jurassic Park” and “Twister” — died Tuesday. He was 66.
The author died “after a courageous and private battle against cancer,” according to his Web site.
Despite his illness, a statement on MichaelCrichton.net said Crichton died “unexpectedly” in Los Angeles.
The “in memoriam” posting added: “While the world knew him as a great storyteller that challenged our preconceived notions about the world around us — and entertained us all while doing so — his wife Sherri, daughter Taylor, family and friends knew Michael Crichton as a devoted husband, loving father and generous friend who inspired each of us to strive to see the wonders of our world through new eyes. He did this with a wry sense of humor that those who were privileged to know him personally will never forget.
“Through his books, Michael Crichton served as an inspiration to students of all ages, challenged scientists in many fields, and illuminated the mysteries of the world in a way we could all understand.
“He will be profoundly missed by those whose lives he touched, but he leaves behind the greatest gifts of a thirst for knowledge, the desire to understand, and the wisdom to use our minds to better our world.

Don are you sniffing glue? your link has no mention of Obama appointing Paul for treasury.
November 5th, 2008 at 2:26 pm
Wrong DonO.
It says, “High on the next Treasury boss’s to-do list is rewriting the rules of finance to prevent another credit crisis like the current one that threatens to trigger the worst U.S. downturn in 30 years, derailing global growth in the process.
That may explain why the list of likely candidates for the Obama administration includes Timothy Geithner, the president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, who has been at the center of efforts to stabilize financial markets.”

Michael Crichton was a great American and a great man of science and letters. His work was greatly appreciated the world over and his insights and analysis introduced us the the amazing possibilities as well as dangers of technology in all its modern forms. His books entertained us while making us think. He will be missed. God rest his soul and give comfort to his family.

How convenient for the NWO that a very public figure with credible scientific foundation that was challenging and exposing the fraudulent data of global warming and genetic modification (GMO) dies so suddenly. Al Gore must be rejoicing. His recent book “State of Fear” clearly exposed the evil of eugenics programs. Could he have been taken out by bioweapon grade fast acting cancer virus???? Just a thought. His death is just way to convenient for Al Gore and Prince Philip and the evironmental nazis and their eugenics based “global warming” agenda.
November 5th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
Crichton will be missed as one of the few contemporary fiction writers not enamored of the NWO. Tom Wolfe doesn’t write as much lately. Crichton’s book “state of fear” was a novel where he included multiple scientific papers and a long bibliography showing global warming caused by man was bunk. It was a great book with a great message. I doubt we’ll see the emergence of many others like him as the NWO clamps down on society. Does anyone out there know of any other current writers as good?

If Obama would give Ron Paul the freedom and authority to implement whatever steps needed to stop this madness would be the best move Obama could make. That would be a GREAT way to start his term. Mr. Paul; Treasury Secretary, I could see him doing away with the FED. introducing money into the economy INTEREST FREE, then have a public discussion to decide if we should pay the FED the interest they have charged us since 1913 or if we should arrest them for treason, fraud, counterfitting, way to many charges to list. We should start with Greenspan,Paul voker right on down the list of all who have made millions by printing money out of nothing and having the nerve to charge interest.

What a great loss. Condolences to his family, take comfort people will know his name for generations to come with his books and films.

IGNORE DONO HE OR SHE HAS BEEN A NUISANCE ON THIS SITE FOR AWHILE.
November 5th, 2008 at 4:19 pm
Michael Chichton wrote about bio weapons. He also wrote about CO2-based global warming as part of a globalist agenda. He was anti-NWO. This is why his death is significant.
November 5th, 2008 at 4:29 pm
In “State of Fear” (which is against the climate con) he has a chapter in the appendix talking in detail about the eugenics movement and comparing it to the climate change con.
November 5th, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Michael Crichton was either a visonary or an insider, but he put in writing what we are now and in the future will be experiencing with the NWO.
THAT is why this “is on here”.
November 5th, 2008 at 5:01 pm
Michael Crichton proved to us that the NWO would clone dinosaurs to use as weapons against the populace. Velociraptors are extremely intelligent, and perhaps an evolutionary ancestor of our current Reptoid overlords.

a high probability he was soft killed

#31 No need-they have Rockefellersaurus and the Rothschildadon that can find a Gey’s penny in a Reptoid overlord’s second heart-and then con it into paying them interest.

Most of us die unexpectedly, he’s definitely in a better place than we are, no longer bound by flesh in the 3rd dimension, his energy free to roam once more, the wide expanse of the universe.
Like a drop of water returning to the ocean his energy is one with the collective consciousness which is immortal and survives his death.
I was dead for four minutes (too long a story) and my dad didn’t believe me when I told him I died, so I said how is it that I know the nurse outside this door came over and told you to put out your pipe in the hospital and she shook her finger at you and you tucked it back in that pocket. Now you know I haven’t left this room, he looked at the pipe in his pocket and looked back at me and turned white as a ghost and his paradigm was forever changed that day. He was no longer worm food.

I see some posts already posted what I had in mind; why did he really die? Was the “cancer” really cancer, or is it how they decided to call it?
He might have been an insider or had a friend or two who were insiders and wrote “too much” about it, so he had to “die of cancer”.
Crap I don’t have it now but you can google up a list of scientists that died of “unknown causes”.
November 6th, 2008 at 7:23 am
Chricton was called on many times by the science community to help provide creative ways to do experiments and research. One area of expertise that he worked on was cloning DNA. He worked many years ago with a group to find a way to extract DNA from dinosaur eggs. Then he advised against the attempt to clone the REX and other large creatures. I don’t know what he was working on recently.
November 6th, 2008 at 10:10 am
I read the comments. I have to state though, just because someone like Chrichton dies of cancer does not mean he was assassinated. Cancer is now running rampant, coast to coast in America. Our church boards and prayer lists are chock full of people suffering from cancer. People who deny “softkill” weapons will not have to wait much longer. Cancer is about to blow up big time. The death wheel is picking up speed. Multitudes await their fate. Sound like fear-mongering? Just sit back and watch. Alex Jones will seem like a prophet, though there were prophets who spoke of this many years ago. Thank you, Alex, for the warnings. I heard you.
November 6th, 2008 at 11:13 am
That’s what we get for selling out.
November 6th, 2008 at 11:38 am
I will miss Crichton’s imagination and literary research. He had a way of not only keeping you glued to his books while reading them but lighting the fires of passion for scientific inquiry. One of my favorite books written by him was “Eaters of the Dead”, which was made into the moviem ‘The Thirteenth Warrior”. I have never stopped reading anything and everything about Neanderthal people ever since.
November 6th, 2008 at 11:40 am
i read his work as a young home schooled boy as a way to fantasize about possibilities in our world, you see they are banning home school, the rocks, and roths own the companies that print your education, they own the companies that make the cars, pump the oil, refine the oil, and they even own the WWF world wildlife fed… kinda scary, problem, reaction and solution, pay attention, freedom of thought goes or went along time ago, who cares about your speech if you have nothing to say? ALL my idols have died this year it seems, my first arrest at 13 was stealing A carlin cd… irony, i have stolen (downloaded) EVERY piece he has done without jail time… Bernie mac, now this, i mean for me all my icons are dying off and NO ONE IS REPLACING THEM CAUSE THE BREED OF FREE THOUGHT HAS BEEN KILLED, that is the point, not speech, not guns, THOUGHT. i care for you all not cause god says so because i have been the worst man i can be, now i will be the best ican be… (without the aaarrrrmmmyyy)

We have three generations of people dieing at the moment.
People in their 90’s are dieing of all sorts of age related things.
People in their 60’s are dieing of cancer
People in their 40s and 50’s are dieing of cancer also.
It’s unlikely that people in their 60’s right now will live as long as their parents. In fact it’s touch and go if they will go to their parents funerals.
What do Doctors on the news have to say about cancer. “A few years ago 90% of people used to die from this type of cancer, now 90% live. I call that a success story, we are very proud of our achievements”
I call that SPIN. Of course more people are surviving cancer, they are younger and stronger when they get cancer! There are loads more cancers so some are mild and some are now very treatable.
November 6th, 2008 at 12:56 pm
while reading a small article about his death, i read that he was due to have a new book published soon. now that he has died the publishing company has decided not to publish it indefinately. i wonder what the subject matter was going to be. the last two were attacking global warming and genetic modification. makes me wonder if the content of this new book was going to be too controversial. strange he died so shortly before it was due to be released from a “private” battle with cancer. wouldnt it be hard to keep cancer private from your family? You would have to start looking pretty bad especially soon before you died. sad.
November 6th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
I saw him on Charlie Rose once. Rose assumed asked Mr. Crichton a question about Global Warming and was surprised when Crichton stated that he didn’t agree with Global Warming Scientists who claim man is it’s cause. Crichton said the real data didn’t support that premise.
November 6th, 2008 at 1:27 pm
He’s a sad loss to his family and the truth movement. I’ve suspected for a while that he was “awake” and was doing what he could within the confines of the Zionist dominated publishing industry to educate, or at least get a few of the sheople to question the world they live in.
November 6th, 2008 at 3:54 pm
What a shame really. One of the best writers of our time. He will be sorely missed. Cancer is one hell of a disease.
