A Google News search does not produce a story or even a brief mention of the fact military police were on hand at the Kentucky Derby to keep restless plebs in line. However, an Associated Press photograph, posted on the Yahoo! News website, shows two MPs in combat fatigues with side arms restraining a man at the derby.

“Military police detain a fan who ran onto the track following the running of the 135th Kentucky Derby horse race at Churchill Downs Saturday, May 2, 2009, in Louisville, Ky.,” the photo caption reads.
The photo was also included in a slideshow on the Yahoo! Sports website, although the text of the article does not contain a mention of military police at the event.
“The military has NO BUSINESS policing the citizens except during extraordinarily exceptional times of national emergency by an executive order. This is very disturbing and completely un-American. Maybe even more disturbing is that no one seems to care how quietly and easily we have accepted the burgeoning police state,” an article comment states.
Infowars has reported on numerous instances of military involvement with local law enforcement in violation of Posse Comitatus. In March, we reported on U.S. Army troops dispatched to patrol the streets of Samson, Alabama, after a murder spree.

Last June, Infowars posted an article by D. H. Williams of the Daily Newscaster reporting the deployment of 2,300 Marines in the city of Indianapolis under the direction of FBI and the Department of Homeland Security.
Prison Planet’s Paul Joseph Watson reported a story on April 22 covering the assault of a local television news team by an irate police officer in El Paso, Texas. A video taken by the news videographer shows uniformed soldiers working with police officers at the scene of a car accident.
The presence of uniformed and armed military police at the Kentucky Derby is part of an ongoing campaign to acclimate the populace to the presence of soldiers at public events.

When I was in the military it was clear that we did not engage the wonderful people of amerika. They were above us not below in the pecking order. This is an important shift that any military exercise against amerikans is allowed. Even a maid in a hotel room from mexico should be able to tell an MP to go to hell if she/he is in amerika.

Out there in the fields, this is for you. I know that I am on my way to heaven. It is not because I am a good person, because I am not. You are not either. If you do not believe me, read the Bible and see what God says about man’s “goodness”. I am not putting myself above God in claiming that I am on my way to heaven. I am simply trusting in what God has written in His word. I John 5:13 says,

1) Christ is the law. He is the new Torah. The Bible does not replace Christ, nor is the Bible equivalent to Christ.
2) Christ judges. Man does not judge or condemn. Man corrects and reprimands, but judgment and condemnation is not for us to do. See Matthew 7:1 for starters.
2) The Bible is a book. It’s the primary source for learning about Christ, Christianity, and it contains God’s word within it.
4) The Bible was written by real men inspired by the Holy Spirit.

They were KY National Guardsmen and they are always at the KY Derby. The Governors of Kentucky have been sending them to assist the Louisville Police with the Derby since the 1930’s. They help with crowd control particularly with all the drunks in the infield. Who knows how many people they have saved over the years who drunkenly decided to run out onto the track.

This is a disturbing trend. I recently argued with a family member about Posse Comitatus, and he couldn’t seem to understand that the military are not policemen. Maybe, conditioning from the Iraq War has rubbed off on everyone, I’m thinking. Remember, we (our military) have been called “The Policeman of the World,” In fact, so much, that I believe we’ve accepted the military to be policemen in our cities.

Look at the MP in the back. More importantly look at his feet. If his left foot is on the same plane as te MP in the front his foot should be through the ground. This looks like a photoshop job, especially with no shadows being cast. That might be up for discution because of the lack of clear-cut shadows of the man in the black shirt. But these charactors still look like they were pasted in the frame. If it is true though, it’s still $*%^ed up.

Yes they are. By definition running involves both feet leaving the ground during the stride. He is obviously slowing down and shortening his stride. Run fast and [ay attention to what your feet do. Nothing out of the ordinary with this picture. Google olympic, marathon and other running or finish line photos of runners and look at their feet.

These are Ky National Guard troops.Though I believe unnecessary it is standard to use the State Guard for crowd control and security in large events so they don’t have to pull every cop off the beat to staff the event.State national Guard are not bound by Posse Comitatus.Go to any Nascar,music festival or like event in especially more rural areas that don’t have large local police forces and u will see the same thing.Don’t get me wrong I DO NOT AGREE WITH MILITARY POLICING CIVILIANS but this is not the case here.

I was at Keenland a couple of weeks ago for the races there. The place was eat up with state police and plain clothes officers. My friend and I were followed/harassed on two separate occasions. We were dressed as if we had just as much money as the next guy, so we saw no reason for it, got creeped out and left.

I was at the Derby. My brother and I witnessed it. They were not just inside the track folks, they were out in the streets directing traffic, etc. Most of them had the MP patch on their arm, and nobody said a single word about it. Except me. I went up to one of the younger ones, thanked him for his service, and then asked him he knew he was breaking the law. He had never heard of posse comitatus(shocker) but he did tell me that they had a briefing on it after I told him what it was. They were not supposed to get involved in any incident at all without immediately turning over the individual(s) to the police. I kid you not when I tell you that there were at least 500-1000 MP’s on site at the Derby. In the streets, on the track, inside the venue. The kid admitted that all he does is “take orders,” but this is crime people!!! We are slowly turning into a police state, and nobody seems to care. Resist the NWO!!!

The bible predicts a one world order and people should pray for our salvation and survival. The goverment is basically telling and showing martial law intent, and people still choose not to belive. When the facts are in plain black and white. Everybody should be concerned and informed of what the goverment is planning. The ones that choose not to belive when the goverment does take over they will follow like sheep to a slaughter. We have a duty as American citizens to stand againist attacks on Americans from our own goverment. The scare tactics being used right now with the H1N1 virus is going to be the gate way to martial law. The right to own a gun will be no more. A lot of talking about waiting in your house with your gun loaded. “Lock and load” When they come for you I bet you give your guns to them. You’ll need the food they offer while your family is dying from starvation. What do you have for supplies…a week. 2 weeks? Maybe a whole month of food but what then? Yeah but they don’t know what they are doing. They really don’t. They are drowning in ignorance and no one seems to want to save them. We take for granted the perspective we have and forget what life was like before we woke up – and perhaps what it was that woke us up.
When I first joined and heard people like you talking I would say “whinny liberal” and think everyone was just too soft to do what needed to be done. Then I grew up, did some reading – Smedley Butler’s “War is a Racket” was the cap stone of my awakening but it all started with a shred of empathy being revived within. Not sure what did it. Maybe I took a liking to some of the people the US govt. was exploiting and that’s what got the illusion unraveling. So I guess, pick the enemy these people are being told to hate, espise, dehumanize, and then re-humanize them.

This wasn’t at an event (which made it that much creepier). I live in east tn (nowhere near a military base), and Friday evening I heard a monstrous chopper. I went out the back door to check it out, expecting to see an apache. They’ve been doing low fly overs alot lately. But instead it was a freakin military chinook just above the tree line! Scared the s**t out of me. The only time I’ve ever seen a chinook is in movies or on the news. Military humvees have also been driving through town lately. We never saw military activity in this area until recently. Now it’s becoming a normal sight.

Anybody know what sidearm those boys are wearing. When I was in, the .45 was the standard issue. Those appear to have composite grips. Someone who was there also said they had auto weapons. I don’t know if they were talking about rifles or other armament.
Any humvee’s with roof mounted M-60? I’m not sure about where I saw it but there was a video where a guy was interviewing some military guys who were at a recruiting station and they had exactly that sitting on the street outside.
Also Mass. just pased S18 through their legislature giving state officials the legal right to enter any home by force to inspect for signs of the flu, regulate traffic into and out of an area along with some other pretty draconian police state type provisions.
All this bluff and bluster put on by the state and fed reminds me of when I was a kid standing in the face of some bully. He would make alot of noise but a couple well placed blows usually inspired him to more civil conversation. Nothing to get excited about. Just know what needs to be done and do it. No matter what laws are passed or preparations made it’s the people who will have the last word.

Federal troops have been deployed in Schenectady, NY to replace or “help” the current police force. The police in Schenectady recently got busted on MULTIPLE drug and corruption charges. The police chief was running a damn coke ring. Now I’ve seen these Federal troops walking around on the street and everyone seems to think it’s no big deal. Most people don’t even know, or care much when informed of the change.
I’ve also found a disturbing number of army departments, as well as a “defense stockpile center”. This seems incredibly suspicious to me.

I was at the Derby. MP’s were at every gate, as you walked up to Churchill. I stopped and asked if they was from the KY National Guard. They wouldnt even answer a single question. They just told me to “Keep moving”. What was really scary was the SWAT police with members of HAZMAT walking around with some sort of detection device. Detecting what ? I dont know. I didnt even aproach them. There guns was unclipped but in there holsters. I asked a few people what they thought about Military being present at the Derby. Common response “We need them here” or “They was here last year”. Nobody was alarmed!!!

Maybe a solution would be to organize a militia with the explicit task to strictly follow the constitution and bill of rights, and to protect the citizens rights.

I believe the time is right. The Feds have unlimited resources. They are backed by The Federal Reserve BAnk, (i.e. a Private Enterprise that has complete control of our monies with no accountability to the American People) that just keeps printing money for which our great, great grandchildren will be indebted (total enslavement).

It is only when federalized pursuant to an exercise of presidential authority that the Guard becomes subject to the limitations of the Posse Comitatus Act.”

These forums are distracting from Mr. Jones GOOD work. While their is SOME quality content posted in the forums, it is few and far between. This tread was supposed to be about the military policing civilians at a horse track and it’s turned into a religious debate full of flames!

Insanity, just crazy to call in any military support for a local police job.
Once a few years back I had just gotten out of the Army and was pulled over for going 2 miles over the speed limit. The police officer came up the car and saw I had a US Rangers sticker on the dash and intantly called for backup. He went back to his car and waited for the other 4 police cars to arrive. They even asked for a local highway patrol who was a former 82nd Airborne to give support and he also showed up. Now, after they had finally came and asked me out of the car, I was wondering if the National Guard was coming to assist them as well for goodness sake.
I gave them assurance I would not beat any of them to death and after they had found I had no record I finally got the cuffs off and they let me go with my nice ticket of 25 dollars due.
There is a bit of over reaction by the police and by even some officials to as what is nothing more than paranoia for absolutely no reason at all to give them that insecurity. I think the media has hyped the terrorist thing up so much that even police and government officials are becoming cool aide drinkers and believers that everyone is a terrorist and some sort of threat.
Wait a minute, I gave an oath to defend this Nation, but yet I am treated like a friggin terrorist in my own Country? Hell I was treated better in Iraq by complete strangers who were police there who probably hated my guts.
We have become victims in our own Nation because false fear has reached the highest levels in Government, what happens when a real terrorist from another Country attacks us?, who will suddenly become the first people they look at? Americans. Hell, just another day in paradise gone to hell. It is completely out of control in America.
Guess who they will expect to save their political butts when they send all our troops over seas to fight some made up terrorist group that had nothing to do with terrorism? Americans. Guess they better start trusting Americans more and quit pointing the finger at us like we are the criminals, because they may need us one day.

Giant festivals take place in this country & are surrounded by armed police & military guards. Even small town festivals are chained off & fenced in where entrance gates are manned by armed police, much like the entrance to a prison or a newer American courthouse complete with turn-styles & search areas called metal detectors. ID’s are asked for and entry is denied those who refuse to bow down & show ID or wear required clothing while always having to be unarmed, many times even denied a simple pocket knife. In the few giant festivals in other countries I have been to I did not see a single policeman or military guard out of thousands of people attending. In photographs of many giant or small festivals throughout other parts of the world, I didn’t see a single cop or military guard. This suggest something is wrong in America. There is a new caste system where those in government rule as masters over the population denied the same abilities as those who oversee & rule. I thought slavery was outlawed, but it seems we have all been made into slaves while not in the service of the government. Even while in the service of the government, most are denied the equality of those who are of higher rank. As I understand it, a festival cannot even take place unless such police guards are in place & permits are obtained which dictate what can & cannot be done. What kind of society have they created? A slave state of helots?

If you’ve ever been to the Kentucky Derby you will know that they have always had MP’s there.
I went for 7 years straight starting in 1988–You have over 100K people drinking heavily on the infield and lots and lots of cash. They are there in their riot gear. Have been since back in the late 1980’s and probably before then. So this information should have been on this site years ago. It didn’t just happen.

I went to the Derby in the 1980’s, there were no soldiers & very few cops. I felt secure as I could be without packin heat myself but I didn’t really feel the need to. It was fun then. It was fun to fly then too. Unlike today.

They had bomb dogs sniffing around peoples cars at the super bowl, I live near Tampa so it was in the news for weeks.

It is unfortunate, that EVERYONE gets sidetracked by their own problems with other peoples religion, This is sad! I for one don’t believe in judging people by their religion, just and only by their actions.
But as far as the Military Police going out on the track at the KY derby, I have to say, when I was a Military police officer, we were told that we had NO AUTHORITY on or over civilians UNLESS they come onto the post, and that is only to detain them and turn them over to the local police! We couldn’t even handcuff them!
All we could do is to detain them, usually by blocking their car in with a humvee, So all of this where they are patrolling and carrying out ongoing stops and searchs of civilians is actually AGAINST the law.
WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WAS AGAINST THE LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION, so I really don’t know where they are getting their authority to do this now, but it needs to stop!
