“I just don’t see that being a logical choice,” Dixon told the News-Leader. “That’s one thing that I’d say is off the table.”
MIAC has been embattled since March when a “strategic report” the agency authored on the “modern militia movement” leaked out into the press, sparking a firestorm of backlash from social conservatives who believed they were being politically profiled by law enforcement.
After gathering public input on MIAC during four public hearings, the House’s Interim Committee on State Intelligence Analysis Oversight is at a crossroads in its mission.

Reina, I’ve been having the same problem. It may be due to this site or someone else in cyberspace. The way I have found to protect against the waste of my effort is before I click “Submit comment” I highlight my comment, then right click, when the menu box appears I click “copy”. Then I submit. I watch and refresh, check back later. If my comment has disappeared I repost it by right clicking, then clicking “paste” This is worthwhile to me because many times, I’ve poured my haert out and had all my thoughtfulness evaporate, never to edify anyone as it had been intended. It can be heartbreaking, I know. My post near the top of the page didn’t appear for 45 minutes so I reposted it. Then magically, the previous posting appeared as well, so I don’t know what’s up.

As the time goes on , people of america have everyday less and less freedom due to politics conducted by federal power. Also , as a consequence of the economic crisis , more and more of them have lost their job and home. But the crisis is not finished , and in near future the consequences could be catastrophic. Keep in mind that any change can not come from the federal government , but only the people , the only source of any future chagement. If a majority of them think a change is possible , so it can be. A way to preserve freedom , ideals , welfare of people is federalism must come to an end. People will have to make a choise , federalism versus freedom , ideals , welfare… . The first could lead to the establishment of a martial law. A state as texas is ready to cross the line , it could be an example for the others. People could put under pressure every state government in the aim to declare secession , the american constitution allow such a decision. Such an aim can’t be aimed without any precaution , as it is evident the federal power is not ready to yield or abdicate. Probably , this one will use force to submit people , but constitution give garantees on firearms. people can put up a fight against the oppressive federal power if a political issue according to the will of people can not be lead. People have to make his will respect , otherwise it will be an opressed people. Saying that federalism must come to an end mean it must be break down , it appears to be the only way to preserve people. America can be easily imagined without federalism and preserved.

I live in missouri and was just pulled over a few days ago by some jack boots who were trying to intimidate me! I saw one cop staring at my bumper stickers while the other pig was running my licence for warrents. They were being very thuggish and acting like I was about to make a move for a gun or something. When this report leaked in early February the Republicans in Missouri went nuts, well, until they realized THEIR PARTY STARTED THIS MESS!! Initially Dixon and his gang gave the Democrat Governor, Jay Nixon a hard time about the report until everyone realized he’d only been in office for a few weeks, the report was a work in progress from the former Republican Governor Matt Blunt, or as we call him in Missouri, America’s Next Top Model. He is rumored to be a little light in his loafers.
It’s been funny living here and watching the Republicans go back and forth. It’s their hot potato and they really don’t know what to do with it. They love the power and the intelligence gathering. But they’d really like to blame the Democrats—but the Democrats leaked the report so they can’t really blame them for all that intelligence gathering and spy crap. Oh, what to do, what to do?
