Nafta Superhighway Returns From The Dead

The Trans-Texas Corridor, part of the NAFTA Superhighway projected to link the United States with Canada and Mexico as an integral cog of the North American Union, is back on the agenda after Texas Governor Rick Perry lied in claiming that the proposal was dead earlier this year.
The open plan to merge the US with Mexico and Canada and create a Pan-American Union networked by a NAFTA Superhighway has long been a Globalist brainchild, but fierce opposition to the plan from activists across the country has stalled the plan at least temporarily.
A key component of the NAU transport system was the proposed Trans Texas Corridor, a massive 4,000 mile network of highways that were to be sold to the Spanish company Cintra and operated as toll roads – creating a huge new tax on the American people which would be paid directly to a foreign-owned private company.
Texas Governor and Bilderberg invitee Rick Perry launched a PR stunt in January when he claimed that the Trans Texas Corridor was dead, when in reality as Jerome Corsi and others pointed out, the project was merely to have its name changed and its design slightly altered.
“Close examination shows Perry’s declaration from Iraq involves yet more public relations efforts by the governor and TxDOT to defuse criticism from voters and reposition a hugely unpopular initiative by dropping the designation ‘Trans-Texas Corridor,’ or ‘TTC,’ while still allowing TxDOT to proceed with the components of the original TTC plan that had been scheduled for implementation now,” wrote Corsi.

Corsi’s warning that the TTC was still very much in the pipeline has proven accurate with the news that the authority of the Texas Department of Transportation, TxDOT, will run for at least 2 more years with a fresh injection of $2 billion in state funds that will be allocated to new transport projects.
Using the cover of a special session of the legislature, Perry will push “a measure that allows private companies to build more toll roads across the state,” according to the Houston Chronicle.
“Gov. Perry wants to get the legislature to reauthorize through 2013 the ability of Texas to enter into Comprehensive Development Agreements, or CDAs, with foreign developers to develop Texas highways under public-private partnerships,” Hank Gilbert, a board member with TexasTurf.org, or Texans Uniting for Reform and Freedom, told World Net Daily.
“We are fighting to defeat any attempt by Gov. Perry to extend CDAs,” he said. “Without CDAs, TxDOT will have a difficult time getting foreign development companies to come into Texas to convert our freeways to toll roads.”
Perry’s attempt to force through toll roads owned and operated by foreign companies as part of the wider agenda for a NAFTA Superhighway and a North American Union is a perfect example of how those in power try to neutralize dissent by pulling dirty tricks – claiming a project is dead and then simply renaming it and continuing with the same agenda.
However, the many activist groups opposed to the Trans Texas Corridor were well prepared for this bait and switch. The resistance to the agenda for a NAFTA Superhighway will now rally to fight Perry’s move to sell off key infrastructure to foreign corporations, and in turn create a huge new tax for already financially battered Americans.

I went to Anchorage Alaska after being gone for 10 years ~ I was in shock to see on how many people from other countries are living there , Many of them with Government jobs ——————- As our Vets can’t find any kind of work these people are getting high paying State and City jobs :

I find it funny that they would want to privatize these highways to foreigners, yet whenever they (US politicians/world bank/imf) “invade” other countries they privatize largely to american companies. It doesn’t make sense.
Part of me admires Russia for having the sense to not allow their large corporations to be privatized by foreigners when the iron curtain came down – they made sure that they were russian owned. Russian now has the largest population of billionaires in the world.

First and foremost…we are talking about a video game that cannot possibly contain all the complex dynamics of a realistic economic system driven by a just as complex tax system, which is in turn, affected by the populace’s behaviors. Second, does “Sid Meirs” definition of a “superhighway” within the game fit into the mold of a highway system owned and operated by a privately owned international company drawing profits off the local public for use of roads originally paid for and maintained by that same public, and the transfer of domestic funds into an international account to benefit not our economy… but their own (in this case Cintra is based out of Spain)? WE already have superhighways! It’s called the Interstate Highway System which was incorporated by Ike and built and PAID for over the last 50 years! They only require maintenance now, which is what the lottery money(at least in Texas) was promised to be for!

I agree. Toronto Ontario sold the 407 highway to a Spanish consortium. It is the most expensive toll highway in North America. Not only that. The Ontario government has in the past refused to renew an individual’s driver’s license if these spaniards said you owe them money. Last but to my mind not least, the cops who patrol that highway may as well be a private police force. Use your lungs or live on your knees sheeple!

In most states, the projected portion of lottery revenue is deducted from the states educational budget each fiscal year and used elsewhere, roads, schools, etc.
They use the education angle in the advertising so people will accept that a large chunk of the lottery revenue is going for something “good”, their children. They make it sound as if this lottery revenue is added to the existing budget when in reality it only makes up the deficits of the adjusted budgets, those deficits based on projected lottery revenues each year.

Education was the other hook they used but, when Ann Richards pushed the lottery here in Texas, she said TXDOT and TEA would receive the lion share of lottery proceeds. That’s the way they sold it, Roads and Schools. Gas tax goes to the feds who then return a portion to the state.

I’m going to put a nail in King John’s arguments right now.
First, let’s look at Cintra from its Toronto experience. When the province of Ontario built Highway 407, it was meant to be owned and maintained by the province. The tolls would pay for its construction and upkeep and that was it. Tolls were reasonable. Then it was sold to Cintra and we got raped. It now costs more to drive its 80-mile stretch than it costs to drive the New York State Thruway from Buffalo to New York City (about 400 miles). Truckers pay more per mile to drive the 407 than they are paid themselves.
As part of its 99-year lease from the province to Cintra, the province or municipalities are forbidden from building a new highway paralleling the 407 within several miles or even making significant improvements on existing highways.
Documents regarding the sale of Highway 407 to Cintra are literally state secrets.
As FaceLikeDog pointed out, the 407 sued the province to force it to deny license renewals to people that 407 alleges haven’t paid their toll bills. The 407 is notorious for billing errors. When calling their customer service department, one gets the idea it has been offshored to North Korea. Their staff are rude, ignorant and even abusive. They have no incentive to fix billing mistakes because they know the money will come in the end from the license renewal. If their camera cannot read a plate fully, the 407 has been exposed actually running similar plate numbers and guessing which one it is.
The Trans Texas Corridor involves buying all land within 10 miles of the highway. What does the highway need a 10-miles easement along its length for? To do what the railways did? Steal the land, develop it and sell it for thousands of times its acquisition cost?
My Texas friends (and I own property in your state), you need to do your research on Cintra and Highway 407 in Toronto. It will tell you everything you need to know.

Mexican only construction crews of course. Stealing on the jobsite and gang harrasment has run off the white guys after they shared their knowledge and skills as good people do. Pay back is good for the soul; I see the construction companies along 7th street in Ft. Worth who used only mexicans (at least a thousand of them building 10 blocks long on both sides of the street) are all vacant.. They ruined our economy. Our economy is now ruining them.

That’s all part of City Center which is owned by the bass brothers. They own 20 square blocks of DT Ft Worth and 32 square blocks of DT Chicago.
All those people riding bicycles around in yellow shirts are part of Center City Security Inc. which is also owned by the bass’. Their own little police force.
I used to do a lot of satellite work in Ft Worth and before I could go to whatever building I was working in, I had to go to the City Center Security station and “check in” which meant showing ID and getting a badge allowing me to work in DT Ft Worth. Then if I needed roof access, I had to schedule a time to meet security and get a door unlocked. Then schedule a time to meet them there to assure the door was locked when I left. THEN, if for some reason I forgot to go back and “check out”, the next time I was there, if I didn’t have the badge from last time, they would not let me work in DT Ft Worth. That was 5 years ago, they’ve probably increased their stranglehold by now.

I read somewhere and I cannot remember where that the super highway, with its eight lanes and all, would be mostly routed through counties that could not possibly afford to build the necessary amount of bridges and.or tunnels to traverse across it. Truthfully, We should already have superhighways, mag-lev trains, and all for alot less then it presently cost the consumer to travel. The money in taxes we all pay is a finacial burden, especially when half of the road systems are filled with pot holes, poor designs. the money in taxes we pay, we should have the roads paved with gold. Every publicly electic official don’t care because they all fly anyways, on our tax money of course, it funny how we just let the margin of the rich and the middle class veer so far apart, so far that they plobably feel like gods. I know one thing, When my children go to buy a house in 20 years, they’ll never be able to afford one. The price of a house in my life time, has risen over 500% – 600%, while the average paying job has only risen 10%-15%, we all can’t keep going the way we are going or our children will be headed for a life of debt and poverty.

On a separate note. I had some thoughts on this recent climate bill. I think that that Alex is missing the bigger picture. He sees the fire but not the gasoline that’s actually igniting it. Conservatives tend to only focus on government when draconian measures are taken. That’s because government is the conduit which allows these actions to take place. But who’s pulling the strings of our bought off Congress members? It’s corporate lobbyists. If people are forced to buy new windows in their homes because they’re not properly sealed, buy new more energy efficient light bulbs and air conditioners, who really benefits? It’s the privately owned industries that produce those very items. They now have a government mandate to enforce future sales. But conservatives don’t want to admit that because it exposes massive holes in their free-market principles. The fact is that when you have a decadent country which allows individuals to get filthy rich, you’re always going to have government collusion and corruption. It’s always going to end up like this. ALWAYS! The wealthy will never develop a conscience, I assure you.

Letting a foreign country come in and dictate to the US, what they can and can not do or charge, is giving our soverignty away to another land. THAT is AGAINST the constitution. These corridors are so that foreign companys can by pass trade agreements and tariffs by shipping through mexico. It opens the door to more corruption and the enabling of drugs and illegals to cross our borders, let alone other terrorists. I just get real bummed out at times because the people I work with, my family, and friends hear me talk about this and they think I’m nuts. When all I’m trying to do is help these people all they do is laugh and put their heads back in the sand. I feel like I’m in an episode of the twilight zone where we are marching towards certain doom and I’m the only one who can see it. I guess I kind of resent the fact that the people in my life dont respect me enough to listen to what I have to say. I am very well read, I have studied everything from history and political science, to sociology and psychology. While I dont claim to be a scholar in any of these subjecs(or even the smartest person on this site) I have researched much of what Alex says and can see that what the NWO is setting up is completely plausible. Even before I “woke up” I always knew something was wrong in the world and always looked at the bigger picture. Thats just how my mind works. I’m the only one in my family who went to college, so I know Im “smarter” than them. I work at GM with many people who never graduated high school. Back in the day college was not “necessary” if you worked at “Generous Motors” because of the great pay and benefits. So what I’m trying to say is in my daily life I’m surrounded by people who dont read, and have no interest in learning anything new. They have their own fixed opinion on life and the world in general and no-one will tell them different. Closed minded people is all I interact with. So When I say I hate the sheeple its because its not that they cant learn or free their minds, its that they DONT WANT TO. And I’m the “weirdo” because I read and couldnt tell you who won this seasons American Idol. They will suffer for their lack of knowledge and they are taking me down with them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is no suprise. Every project of the governement is only a good excuse to put tax payers’ money in their personal pockets. Lets say they announce they will spend 500 millions on a road re-construction project. Then they spend 100 millions doing the roads and keep the other 400 millions for themselves but who knows? They are well positioned to proove the 500 millions was spend but where exactly to total amount ends up you will never be told, or have the opportunity to verify.
Now imagine when they say they are bailling out the economy for 700 billions. I understand why they so much urged for this spending to take place, maybe they can take a few billions here and there no one will notice.

I have a cousin that works as an appraiser for TDOT. He is buying land all the way from Amarillo to Austin where the super grid is in place already. Also from Hwy 259 where Hwy 69 intersects he is making offers you cant refuse to buy up land for this Hwy to go in. The land from Amarillo is being bought to run power lines for the T.B. Pickens windmills. The work going on for Hwy 69 is amazing. They have built or in the process of building overpasses that are literally bypassing small communities. I know as I drive thru them weekly. I have yet to see the ramifications but it appears they are going to be like herding corrals to allow us to only go from point A to point B with no freedom to make detours. Interesting.

Many years ago Chicago put in toll roads to pay for the highway .Highway got paid off and the tolls remain.C-470 is a highway going around the east side of Denver.In the past 10 years you had the option of paying cash or having a signal box on the windshield.Now you cant have the box or pay cash at the booth .You drive through the liscence plate scanner and they send you the bill.Im sure you pay the postage on the front end and back end.On the nafta highways youll never
have the inconvenience of having to stop and pay you just get used to a bill in the mail for your traveling efforts.What will stop the system from incrementally raising the tolls at will as the C-470 system has done.They doubled the fees over the life of the highway.

Please excuse the correction “Mr. Mayor”but is was the State of Illinois that authorized the creation of the corrupt and illegitimate “Illinois Tollway Authority.” They did so under the premise that once the roads were paid for the tolls would be removed. Obviously, that never happened and with the exception of a few tollroads in Kentucky where they actually did remove and/or lower the toll amt. to just maintenance, it never does. Moreover, the Illinois tollroads extend outside the City of Chicago. I-88 to Quad Cities or I-90 to the WI line, for instance.

My mother & her husband live a 1/4 mile off the 10 on one side of the highway in Marion and his family has owned the land on the other side for generations… and they will not go quietly when they come for their patch of land. We already pay for highways using the gasoline tax. Toll roads is a double taxation. They will force you to use them by keeping public road in poor rconditions while maintaining the tolls. In some instances you will be forced to exit into them wether you like it or not. Then you will get a Bill in the mail. If you can’t pay or don’t want to pay , they will threatan you with court action. It happened to me.

It takes lots of money to recondition and maintain interstates; more then the average taxpayer is willing to pay. The money has to come from somewhere, so alternative ways should be studied and given serious consideration; unless of course all people involved with the highways are willing to work for 7.00 an hour with absolutely no benefits. I cannot agree more! It’s going to be hard for many citizens to take that first step as there will be no going back. Moreover, I think at least the initial stages of organized resistance will be loosely held together and therefore the brave citizens who step-up to the plate, at least at first, are most likely going to “take one for the team” as it were. Once people see that others are not afraid to die for what they believe in, others, many others will come forward. The subsequent waves of resistance should be more successful.
I’ll have no qualms about being one of the first. I have no children and the despicable jackals in government killed my wife many years ago. With things going the way they are, there won’t be much to live for anyway.

St. Simons Island, Georgia had a toll road which paid for the widening of the 2 lane bridges to 4 lanes. Many years later the road was paid for, but the county kept the toll as a cash cow. One man stood up and told the people. He said elect me and I will get rid of the toll. They elected him and the toll is gone.

They have the same plans in Europe with a system of major grid routes north to south and east to west called the E-Road network. Even the UK is linked but at the moment the E-Route numbers remain unsigned here in UK.

Sorry – haven’t read through all the comments, or the article for that matter, but… if these roads are being built with private money (and I realize that it will never be 100% private), and a toll will be charged to use them – then just don’t use them. Or do what we do in Colorado: obscure your plates and use them anyway.
Just puttin’ that out there.
If they were built with your (public) money and then sold off, then I say abuse the hell out of them.

Grassroots defeat GOLIATH: Stop the sale of TX roads to foreign corporations, protect public pension funds
(Austin, TX – July 2, 2009) Today, ordinary Texans brought Governor Rick Perry’s road privatization, toll road, and Trans Texas Corridor agenda to a screeching halt. The Legislature adjourned without re-authorizing private toll road contracts called Comprehensive Development Agreements (or CDAs). The grassroots scored another victory by KILLING the revolving fund in HB 1, preventing the $2 billion in bonds from being spent to build toll roads, convert freeways to toll roads, or subsidize private toll deals, as well as protecting public employee pension funds from risky toll roads schemes that are failing all over the world.
“It is a hard-fought victory for the grassroots. We killed Goliath, not just Perry’s controversial toll road policies, but we defeated a sold out Senate and the BIG MONEY, the lobbyists, who sank millions into pushing for the sale of Texas highways,” Hank Gilbert, Texas TURF Board member and President of Piney Woods Subregional Planning Commission.
“We applaud Rep. David Leibowitz, once again, for standing up for Texas taxpayers and leading the charge to fix the bill that created a revolving fund that would have raided teacher retirement and public employee pension funds for risky toll road schemes. He authored the bill to KILL the Trans Texas Corridor and another to prevent the conversion of freeways to tollways during the regular session. He’s a proven taxpayer hero and Texans owe him a tremendous debt of gratitude,” said TURF Founder, Terri Hall.
“However, no session is without a few villains. CDA proponents and senate leaders like John Carona and Steve Ogden need to be taken to the woodshed for promising to promote the MOST expensive method of road funding, CDAs, next session, and for wanting to continue to raid public pension funds over the LOUD objections of Texans. None of this is dead in their minds, just postponed until they can resurrect this controversial public fleecing for another day,” Hall emphasized.
Taxpayers wanted Perry’s controversial and virtually universally detested road privatization schemes to die a natural death August 31 as scheduled, which will also KILL the mechanism to build the Trans Texas Corridor (or TTC). Today, they achieved just that. However, TTC-69/I-69 was excepted out of the moratorium, SB 792, in 2007, so TxDOT has the authority to enter into CDAs for that project through 2011. TURF, in cooperation with two private property rights foundations (Stewards of the Range and American Land Foundation) and local governments, have been instrumental in forming subregional planning commissions in the path of TTC-69, and plan to use these commissions to challenge the TTC and keep it from ever being built.

now ain’t it. I don’t keep up with TX. politic’s so I don’t know who’s the
next potential replacement for sold out Perry. From reading this news
update, I’d suggest Rep. David Leibowitz for the Next Governor, or if
not, @ least he should be the Lt. Governor.
Now everyone will watch and see how long this victory lasts, before the
nwo slimes come out with another approach. Probably now they realize
that this highway will not get built through TX. unless it is strong armed
through with turn-coat haliburton para-military blackwater thugs guarding
it. Cheny & haliburton – Kenneth Lay & Enron, such a cast of characters,
that make even the worst science fiction horror movies seem like cartoons
compared to their mayhem.
