Napolitano Says U.S.-Mexico Border Is Secure

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says the U.S.-Mexico border is safer than ever.

Napolitano made the comment to border-area mayors and business leaders yesterday in El Paso, Texas.

She says perceptions that the border area is at its most dangerous right now are false.

Customs and Border Protection commissioner Alan Bersin added that the border is now more secure than it has ever been.
