Neocons and Neoliberals: Two Masks, One Face

Obama might very well be classified as a “neoliberal”.
If you’re a liberal, you might think this is great. Instead of the Neoconservatives who have been in power for the last 8 years, we’ll now have neoliberals. You may assume that “neoliberals” are new, smarter liberals — with liberal social policies, but with a stronger, more realistic outlook.
Nope.
In reality, neoliberalism is as dissimilar to true progressive liberal politics as neo-conservatism is to true conservative politics (if you don’t know it, most leading neoconservatives are former followers of Trotsky communism – not very conservative, huh?)
For example, did you know that Ronald Reagan was a leading neoliberal? In the U.S., of course, he is described as the quintessential conservative. But internationally, people understand that he really pushed neoliberal economic policies.
As Philip Giraldi writes: “Neoconservatives and neoliberals are really quite similar, so it doesn’t matter who gets elected in 2008. The American public, weary of preemptive attacks, democracy-promotion, and nation-building, will still get war either way”.
And leading neo-conservative strategist Robert Kagan recently said :
So neoconservatives are not really conservative and neoliberals are not really liberal.
But neocons and neoliberals are very similar to each other. Neocons are alot more similar to neoliberals than to true conservatives; neoliberalss are more similar to neocons than to real liberals.
Do you get it? Both the Republican and Democratic party are now run by people with identical agendas: make the big corporations richer and expand the American empire.
There is only one party, which simply puts on different faces depending on which “branch” of the party is in power. If its the Democratic branch, there is a slightly liberal social veneer to the mask: a little more funding for social programs, a little more nice guy talk, a little more of a laissez faire attitude towards gays and minorities, and a little more patient push towards military conquest and empire.
If its the Republican branch, there’s a little more tough guy talk, quicker moves towards military empire, a little more mention of religion, and a tad more centralization of power in the president.
But there is only a single face behind both masks: the face of raw corporatism, greed and yearning for power and empire.
Until Americans stop getting distracted by the Republican versus Democratic melodrama, America will move steadily forward towards war, empire and — inevitably as with any country which extends too far — collapse.
Neoliberalism is neither “new” or liberal. Neoconservativism is neither new or conservative. They are just new labels for a very old agenda: serving the powers-that-be, consolidating power, controlling resources. Whether the iron fist has a velvet glove on it or not, it is still an iron fist.
A true opposition party is needed to counter the never-changing American agenda for military and corporate empire.

The funny thing about all of this is just how easy it is to take the country back non-violently and force a major political revolution while sending a loud and clear message to the government, military, and especially the media that “We The People Run This Ship”! However, it will never happen. Even after saying it again, this post will be gone, and people will keep complaining while sitting on their asses accepting the status quo.
Someone needs to light a fire and start massing a major grass fire campaign right now. Here’s the plan:
Do NOT vote Republican or Democrat in the next two congressional elections. It is still ok (for now) to vote for Rep. or Dem. in the Presidential elections.
Choose the closest 3rd party candidate either on the ticket, or as a write-in that reflects your values closest except for a republican or democrat. It doesn’t matter which 3rd party, just the one that fits YOU the best.
Now imagine the reaction from the govt., the world, and the media when they wake up only to find that the entire congress has been replaced by a bunch of random 3rd party candidates with no possible way for a clear majority.
This will send an unmistakable message that we (the people)are still in control and want things to get done…NOW, or you will NOT be around come the next election.
Congress, and the President will be FORCED to stop bullshitting around, and have to get things done….in a hurry.
It will also force the media to report in a more honest and truthful manner.
It’s simple folks…do we take the opportunity to take the country back for real? Or are we just a bunch of cowardly complainers contempt with being taken over and forced to comply to the NWO?

Seer, good post and you are right in many ways, the film industry puts all this out, hell the Illumanati gives us their plans all the tie, just look at the world’s main religious books, fright there, but well the believers can’t see it, because the main religions are just arms of the NWO and are great control tools, just as the Media is and the film industry is.
sorry for those that feel we can take our country now, you are ucking nuts because they will not follow the lasws set down by our founding fathers and many of those laws were changed. The only way we can take it all back is to do it from the inside, and they will take over and create their one world government.
1. Stock up on weapons, food, and what you need to survive.
2. stock up on ACU uniforms, and train small grops five at most and create fire teams.
3. Make sure your training is ezual to the military, so when you take out a squad or detachment, or Unit, you can take their velcro patches and operate as they do so you have the element of suprise.
4. We need an underground so that we can make sure we attack the right areas, and we need to attack their infrastructure.
We can only take them down from within.
I have people reading three manuals of the common tasks of soldiers, and other survival manuals.
Get ready folks, but it is coming and their ain’t know peaceful way out of this.

Perhaps conservatives should just stick with worrying about conservatives. I hear Limbaugh and Beck screaming that Libs will cut the military by 25%. If you’ve seen the movie “Why We Fight.” , you know this is a good thing. We can’t expand our empire with a smaller military. However, now the libs can’t cut the military cause the red states will piss and moan and say that the libs are unpatriotic and don’t want to defend America. Well, which is it?

Has anyone ever heard the term NEO LIBERAL before last week?
I didn’t think so because it’s a fictional and contradictory term. But hey I guess I better get used to it now that we have a dem in charge!!!
Seriously though I suggest they come up with a better word to describe them because people will truly laugh at them if it ever hit mainstream media (they would probably laugh anyways but why give them an excuse!)….. The problem with liberals is that there too passive and known to be compromising when it comes to making policies (in the fact that they always seem to conform to republicans need as well as there own).
What would neo liberalism be ULTRA PASSIVE?????
I’m just saying you should really come up with something that is more realistic (and makes sense!!!).

After returning to USA from living in OZ and NZ I chose to ignore G.W. Bush. He does/did not exist. I don’t listen to him, don’t hear about him, don’t read anything relating to this tyrant. Same with Obamanation. Obama will not exist in my life. Nohow. Noway. Nowhere.
