New York mayor Michael Bloomberg wants law changed so he can serve a third term

The New York mayor Michael Bloomberg has announced he will seek to change the law so he can run for a third term in 2009.
“We may well be on the verge of a meltdown and it’s up to us to rise to the occasion,” Mr Bloomberg told a news conference.
“So should the city council vote to amend term limits, I plan to ask New Yorkers to look at my record of independent leadership and then decide if I have earned another term.”
The mayor’s supporters believe that the billionaire businessman has the best chance of leading the city out of its financial crisis.
Mr Bloomberg, who built a highly successful financial information empire, has suggested that he might remain in office for a third term even though New York City officials are currently limited to two four-year terms.
However, such a possibility appeared significantly more likely after Ronald Lauder, the heir to the Estee Lauder cosmetics empire, swung behind the idea of a Bloomberg third term.

If you really serve the people faithfully and defend them against tyrants, they will change the law so they can re-elect you for another term. But, if you decide that you have to push for it yourself, it proves that you are a tyrant against whom they need to be protected.

Horatio does well to qualify it with- “if a truly prudent Congress was in session”. lol. it is doubtful that 50% understand the issue. all they care about is being re-elected. i have learned several things watching all of this, the primary lesson is how terribly stupid lawyers can be.

I hate to say it but America has been slain over the past 8 years.
It has been heart breaking to watch every founding principle that we US citizens were raised upon from birth, be sliced and diced into a processed form of fascism.
The very meaning of our Constitution, institutions and even our patriotism has been hijacked and We The People and all that we stood for, has been run through a Trotskey meat grinder with fake problem/reaction/solution scenarios, one after another to the point we are now at.
Only a few good men have resisted, but it’s far too little and far too late and the flight path that America is now on is COMMITTED to the annihilation of this country, for the sake of undisclosed and total reconstruction of this country, based upon a progression of staged events.
This nation has become one ugly mess, about to get uglier and when one realizes none of this had to happen, was in fact planned and executed to unfold in controlled stages, it’s UNCONSCIONABLE.
I am more than disappointed and more horrified with what has happened and continues to happen. The bail out bill is just the next leg in a long course, designed to annihilate the US dollar, to make way for a new global currency.
We’ve been saying for years now and it’s finally arrived in the form of the bail out bill, which paves the way for the next step, which will be the adoption of a new monetary system with a new form of currency.
I wonder whose face will be on the new bills, how much we will all lose in the exchange and which aspects of my personal identity will be made either illegal, or under the control of some new agency just around the next corner.
It is even sader that most Americans are still sleeping at the wheel, as all of this is coming down on us so fast.
WE ARE BEING ROBBED OF OUR COUNTRY AND OUR HERITAGE.

WTF … why are we obeying these laws???? Why are we paying taxes, interest, fines, etc. every where we turn. We need to rise up and say no more. Just imagine if we all said you can take your laws, your taxes, your debts and shove them where the sun don’t shine because we have all decided we don’t want to be complicit in their wars. That is where your hard earned dollars are going. So every time you pay your taxes, fines, interest on mortgages, etc just remember what they are being used for. Not to mention the trillions of dollars these elite are using for their own enjoyment.
Enough is enough … do we have to obey a law just because they told us it was so.
We need to unite and stop this bullshit and just stop paying the piper.

I will not file taxes ever again. If the IRS come to my door bodies will pile up high. No taxation with out representation has been taken to the extreme. The only offensive action we have available is assassination of many of our elected officials and the Bilderberger group, CFR, and other groups. Only bit of advice i can give is, for every Bill or law they pass i’m buying me a gun for defense from. They made terms so not one man or woman could become a Dictator. Funny, 9/11 and George Bush is even asking or looking for the November elections to be “Put on hold’ too . Which will be Bush will not be a lame duck but create a dictatorship for himself. He certainly doesn’t want any more investigations on 9/11 for fear we will find the evidence to PROVE conspiracy in the 9/11 deaths and the Iraqi War. Next we’ll be faced with a so-called ,Neocon planned nuclear attack on the united states whether it be east Coast or west Coast. Hm, I remember when September 11, 2001, Tuesday came around. Michael Bloomberg was about to be voted in to replace the then 2 term-limited mayor Rudolph Guiliani. Guiliani wanted to be in for a 3rd term also. It was presented as not being up to the City council, but a decision for the state legislatures, if I remember correctly. It was said that if the 2 term limit was to be done away with, even though a horrific event had just happened that suspended the election, it would have to go through proper channels and that would be done for the future mayors. At that time, the law said 2 terms and that is what the premise was for the then mayor and nothing was about to change it in the middle of not only a term that was being filled with the 2 term limit already understood and accepted, but had other candidates already nominated and on the ballot and whom people were voting for.
Blommberg had announced back then or at the start of his primary run, that he only intended on being mayor for one term anyway. He was going to balance the budget and then let real politicians replace him. Now he wants at the end of his term to have the law changed just for him, even though he says (just like a politician) that it is for the people. Then why have term limits at all? Need I say more about Bloomberg and this?
I do need to say more. Re-read what I just said about Rudolph Guiliani. Most people forget that there was a mayoral election going on at the very moment that 9/11 happened. Guiliani was a “man without a home”, if you remember it being all over the nation’s news about him being a lame duck who was the most powerful man in New York State at one time and was leaving the office as a disgrace and being mocked at with no job nor home to go back to. One wonders from that day on as to why no one, not even Alex Jones, has ever mentioned the wonderment about all the circumstances (or what might be termed circumstantial evidence) as to how close Guiliani was involving that day. What Alex and even Jason Burmas have come up with is nothing as compared to the whole story that was constantly in the national news involving him that goes back to his “run” against Hillary Clinton for the U.S. Senate position a year earlier. As Alex says, the information is there. Just look it up or at least remember what was almost daily in the news.

PS: Since Bloomberg set the precedence of not smoking in many places around the country, I remember his statement since it was such a bold move that the country was made aware of his preposal. He said he was doing it because HE did not like cigarette smoke. He did not say at that time that it was a health hazard for the people. He said HE did not like it. In my opinion, that disqualified him from being in his position since personal preferences are not to be the main reason why something is being done under such circumstances. Good luck to you New Yorkers. Maybe he has been good, but he and California’s Arnold now can tie the knot between the east coast and the west coast of the United States. (That is another story. Of course with either Obama or McCain in office, that opens the door for non born Americans to be president just like Arnold has been pushing for since neither of the two seem to have been born in this country although they might have had American parents. What a country we live in!

All right. Looking at things logically in the “war” for our minds, it seems that we are not growing fast enough in equivalent to “them” coming out with all these laws, rules, regulations, threats, and upscaled brutality. There are still so many people to “wake up”, but I see there is one thing that will get the people to muster together to the point of believing people like this group who bravely met and had their “down with the regime” conference.
Most people say here and some have even called into Alex Jones’ radio show to say that they are having such a hard time getting others to believe the “truth” stories. Yes, many have “awakened”, but percentage-wise, it is small. There is only one thing that will snap all the nation’s people to finally “get it”, where people who are like this brave group and those handing out “truth” DVD’s or flyers, will be able to be listened to almost immediately. That one thing might happen in the next 40 days or maybe an additional 75 days or so. It was said here by others and has been spoken about for years, starting from the Clinton era before he left office.
The only thing that will snap the entire country into “awakefulness” or realization of the “truth”, is to have Marshal Law to stop either the presidential election somehow or to stop the transfer of power over to the president elect. All other Constitutional laws have been broken by this regime and the people have accepted it, but it seems that they want to have the Constitutional election. So what we need is to have that Marshal Law which seems to be the only thing that the people are saying that they will accept for stopping an election by the Constitution.
If the election or transition of power is done, then I would tend to believe that we really are in trouble because no one would transfer power, which technically is the same thing as giving oneself up to the authorities for crimes committed, unless that person(s) was assured of a safe haven and if a safe haven is available, that means that whomever is taking over the power position would be condoning all crimes committed and therefore would be just as bad as this regime. That allowance of the transfer of power would then obviously be done for a facade, to help fool the people, making it look like “CHANGE” actually is happening, when it would not be.
MARSHAL LAW (or the stoppage of the presidential CHANGEover) IS OUR SAVIOR that will gather the people together in one fell swoop that is not happening now,
