Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. is talking with Yahoo about business deals, including one that would combine News Corp.’s MySpace with Yahoo.
The giants of the Internet — Google, Microsoft, AOL, Yahoo and social networking sites such as MySpace and Facebook — are jostling for dominance of the online advertising market, the fastest-growing of all advertising sectors.
On Monday, Yahoo rejected a $44.6 billion buyout offer from Microsoft that was aimed at combining the second- and third-largest online advertising companies to challenge Google, the leader.

Come on now Jeff. No sense is acting like an idiot juvenile on here. Unless of course you are one. Nonetheless, clean up your language. There are far better, more intelligent ways of expressing yourself.

Another wonderful merger of two “Manchurian Media” elements.

Oh great, News Corp. just extending it’s propagandist influence in big media. Well hopefully if they acquire yahoo, they will continue the poor management of Yahoo! corp. and Yahoo will just continue it’s slide and eventually go bust, then Rupert will be left holding the bag for the billions News Corp. paid for the Yahoo! web property. That’s the thing with running a web property, the competition is intense, mess up and your web property will eventually turn into a ghost town, because there are plenty of other websites to choose from, let’s not forget a little website called altavista.com, which was once the biggest most dominant search engine on the web, which is currently little more then a ghost town. And without the government shills yet able to stifle competition, or tilt the industry playing field in corporate pay master’s favor, News Corp. will have to live or die based solely on their performance in the “marketplace”, and if past performance is any indicator of future performance, News corp. will just use Yahoo! to blatantly shove more propagandist crap down people’s throats, but on the web if you try to shove things onto people the don’t like, they just go away, because there are far too many other options to choose from when it comes to websites, I could name at least 5 other websites that do everything Yahoo does and better… so let Rupert buy Yahoo, maybe it will precipitate the financial ruin and demise of News Corp., then Yahoo! will have actually been good for something at least. I know that I for one will stop patronizing Yahoo immediately if News Corp. acquires them, I’ll just close down all my accounts with them and go elsewhere.

There are also many who speculate that “entertaining” offers from News Corp. is a ploy on Yahoo’s behalf to get Microsoft to bid higher. Who knows, corporations have no conscience, it’s all about the money for them, every last one.
