New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has vetoed a gun control bill that would have decreased the maximum allowable size for an ammunition magazine from 15 to 10 rounds.

Parents of children who were killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings in Connecticut visited the governor’s office on Wednesday.

They presented Christie with an online petition containing more than 55,000 signatures urging him to sign the bill into law.
