From a tactical possition the Koreans have nothing if China doesn't have their back. They do have a large well trained military, but they are so far behind us technilogically that a war us would take as much time as the campain that ousted Saddam. The good thing is that we won't have to stay for long and set up a government. There is an excelent Korean government in Seoul that isn't corrupt and would have little difficulty. Also we probably wouldn't retaliate with nukes since we wouldn't have to. Like I said we have the technology, (AWAC, Stealth, Satilites, etc) Chances are we shoot down their rockets then launch a huge combined naval and air strike on all their infrastructure before the combined armys of Japan and South Korea help us clean up.
