After the court ruled that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to gun ownership and that the District’s handgun ban was unconstitutional, it was an upstart band of libertarian lawyers that celebrated on the marble steps and received the glory for the breakthrough decision.
The NRA, the nation’s premier and most powerful gun rights group, has worked hard not to be in that position again. And because of an unusual intervention recently by the justices, its attorney will be in the mix when the court considers the next big guns case next month.

Roaddog,
I am using this format to contact you to see if it gets to you since your mail might be delayed slightly. You sent something out with a joke about Obama. It took FIVE DAYS to arrive, which was just a few minutes ago…the 4th to the 9th. Now it has been sent back. It could take 5 days to return, for all we know.

Yes indeed,, the black robed criminals themselvs have said that the right to firearms existed before the establishment of the state, meaning since before there was a Supreme Court in existence to rule on it!
What this means is that NOTHING the Supreme Court could ever say can change the FACT that that right exists, and has existed, since antiquity.
Americans need to stop looking toward the government, including the Supreme Court, to TELL them what their rights are! If our rights are truly OURS, it is WE who tell the government what they are, not vice versa.
This business of asking the government to tell us what our rights are is misguided and dangerous. For when it suits those in government to divest ous of our rights, what do you think they are going to tell us when we ask?
If you have to ask the government to tell you what your rights are, YOU HAVE NONE.
Every American gun owner should begin by filing off the serial numbers off their firearms. We do not need to be numbered, and neither do our guns, because neither we nor our guns are subject to being owned and controlled by the government.

Good Point – If we can’t scatch off serial number off a gun we don’t really own it. Makes me think of how nervous I was the first time I removed a tag from my couch.

In NJ and probably other states we need a Purchaser permit to buy a shotgun or rifle and now even ammo and another permit for a handgun… I may go to my local shop and hand them a copy of the constitution as my permit and purchase a gun… This is beyond disgusting. I do have a permit but my address was changed even though they renamed the numbers on the houses because of new construction and now I have to go through all the red tape to get a new permit.. Welcome to the New World Order….

Be very carefull before you go for the throat of NRA.
I am no longer a mamber, because I think they are quietly on the other side, but…. without the NRA our gun rights would be gone in a heartbeat.

The NRA does not protect your gun rights. It constantly helps the opposition by imposing more and more stupid regulations. Gun Owners of America is the better way to go.
On the other hand, STOP ASKING PERMISSION FROM THE GOVERNMENT for ANYTHING. Just do what you are going to do and tell em to stick it in their eye.

As said above…..the second amd. says it all. I exercise my rights everyday. I take my gun everywhere. It is concealed. I take it in the bank, the post office, the stores. Thats what we are supposed to do. “being NECESSARY to the security of a FREE state.”
AND….the NRA is a fraud. I have a brouchere from the NRA. It says…”the NRA does not promote firearm ownership.” That says exactly how much they believe in the second amd.
If you have a gun, take it everywhere. Dont be afraid. Whats the point in having a gun, if you dont carry it with you.

The GOA has said along with the JPFO- the NRA has hired the lawyer who LOST the HELLER case to stand up and represent them in this Chicago case….I have to say it would appear they need their collective a$$es kicked. there is no reason they would do that unless they WANTED HIM TO LOSE AGAIN! I used to support them, sorry done with that deal. no more money or support from me…I’ll be giving support to the GOA and JPFO….

The NRA Are Not Your Friends,
You are funny
. I have to give you credit for catching us. Yuppers, she is my secret side to view because I am her secret side here or anywhere else for that matter in a place like this as the verbal side to her sexiness. That is what really makes her and me quite close (which we thought was a secret until you came along….from afar–hehe, and figured out our secret, you bad boy……..
http://www.restrainednomore.co.....so-bad.php )
So rather than loving Sharise from afar, allow me to suggest to you to write her and let her know how much you admire her from what was far away until you wrote her. Even tell her that I sent you in her direction. Ask her her opinion on the NRA, if you want something to say as an opener. Just go back to her website and find the address. Then of course you can always subscribe so she can let you know when the next parady or such is coming out.
Take it easy NRA. At least Sharise and I are your friends

The NRA needs to take cities like New York, California, and all the cities that ban folks from having guns in their homes to the Supreme Court. I would love to see old Senator Chucky Shumer and Hillary cry if they could overturn that ban in New York City. After all, people live in apartments and homes right there in the city.

I would love a factsheet with the reasons the NRA are bad.
i know there are a ton but there is no official list or anything that I have found.
my father is a republican and nra life member and is completely brainwashed into thinking that they are on his side.
all you have to do is say the word “republican” and my dad thinks its good.
no matter what.
of course he is a brainwashed moron. my own father…
he denies all facts when they dont suit his own agenda or beliefs.
someone needs to make an article about why the nra is bad and list all the reasons.

How the NRA Bargains Away Our Second Amendment
February 10th, 2010 at 10:09 am
The NRA has morphed into a money making enterprise for those involved.
IF the NRA really represented gun owners/second amendment right, they would not have accepted all the watered down rights rulings over time, instead becoming more shrill in their claims, rightly so. Instead, they are lobbyists, contributing to pols, thinking this will get them, and us, anywhere.
To the NRA: unless you are a snake, you will never be as good as the snake at what it does. Which are you??

Gun Owners of America is much better than the NRA. I was a 10 year NRA member and noticed that they always came down on the side of gun control and gun registration. GOA never did. Last straw was when Alabama legislature tried to sneak in a gun control bill that NRA supported, but GOA opposed and organised a rally against in Montgomery. Bill was defeated and NRA went home with their tail dragging. Leave the NRA and join Gun Owners of America.

to do five years for practicing my natural/God given (second amendment) right.Front Site.com
