NYPD To Shake Up Streets With Siren-Sound Device

The New York Police Department has installed “rumblers,” or ground-shaking sound devices on some of their cars, to make sure that even those who can’t see or hear an approaching police car, will now be able to feel it, up to 200 feet away.
“It emits vibration that can be felt, so drivers, even with their windows rolled up and stereos on, can be alerted to the approach of emergency vehicles, ” NYPD spokesman Paul Browne told the New York Post. “It also gets the attention of pedestrians with headphones or iPods of who may be otherwise inattentive to conventional sirens.”

I live in the Bronx & you can’t imagine what the noise level has been like here for years – blasting stereos that shake buildings as they pass. & the cops do NOTHING. Good thing you left another comment here and one that is far enough back in the thread where this is a reply button. There probably will not be any on mine, but you might remember saying something about seeing me around. Yes, I have been around a lot longer. Sometimes I have the time to be here for a few days and then I am gone for maybe weeks, but I have been around and am known by many of the guys here.
So you want to know what I look like? What a guy. Ah, but most guys only want to see a gorgeous woman, although in this case, I can see that my words have done me well as to one of the things I like being here for. Sometimes it is nice to first be accepted for one’s mind or thoughts without the influence of the body being that first gawking reason to be desired.
This is about the only place that I frequent where I get the impression that most men are here because they cannot get themselves a woman and they are trying to be macho to anyone who will listen. I understand that and feel for them. Even so, it is nice to have a man such as yourself say something nice to me as a woman and at least allude to the fact that there can some feminism brought around and be appreciated. Most of the guys around here over the years seem to be quite intimidated by me and they do not even know what I look like. Both men and women think that I am a witch, but for different reasons (which is good now that Halloween is upon us–hehe).
Too bad there are so many real troublemaking varments who grace this domain. Otherwise I would be willing to at least let you know who pops around here. Therefore you must just fantasize. As a matter of fact, have you ever heard the comment that if you do not want to be seen, do not put a picture of yourself on the internet because once there, it becomes world wide in no time? Well, if you are a real man as I know most men to be nowadays, you probably have gone out on the internet to look at women. In that case, you probably already know what I look like because even though I could have been seen by the entire world otherwise, the picture that did get out seems to have grown wings of its own, if you know what I mean. Otherwise you will just have to do with me what most know me best for…and that is to fantasize about me.

So you saw my comment about Brooke Shields. Huh? Well, in this forum I cannot fully openly say what I think because most people are in their own little world designed for this type of forum and not much more. In my world, that is openly brought out. Since most of my “fans” are men, they enjoy the freedom that they can have bringing up such subjects and thoughts with me and for them, I give them feedback…sometimes as a group in public and sometimes privately. Since I have lived that life, it is easy for me to bring out the hows and the whys. There are things that most do not want to speak about involving men and women or involving the male and female reactions that the Brooke Shield area was alluding to. I would have said more if in another place, but here it is not meant to be so open and my time is not much available anymore. Life changes even for a “goddess” at times.
With that being said, I am glad that you took notice and I can tell that you appreciate what I was somewhat saying. In short, the problem is (and there is a problem) as has been expressed on this website and Alex’s radio show time after time again. In other words, the reaction(s) is because of how “they” make us to feel, not because of something more realistic or true to reality. I stopped aging at a woman’s prime age of “21″, but that means that I was a young girl of her age once upon a time also and have met many a young girls in my life. Again, the problem is the conditioning and the continuation of it forms warped social minds. No one minds seeing me nude, for example, if I am 18, but if I am 17 even though my birdy might be next month, I am therefore considered to be taboo. Well, I say BOO (Happy Halloween, by the way–hehe) to that and them, yet “they” have trained us to make such a distinction. So again, thank you for noticing.

Your comment is very generalizing about New Yorkers. I will not stoop to your level and insult your state which is most likely a southern one, but you are wrong in that you say we do not bear arms. Only in the 5 boroughs of NYC is it illegal to carry arms. But in all other parts of NY it is legal…as I am a gun owner myself. In addition, I think the “rumbling” of these prototype police cars is simply designed to instill fear or hesitation in people…similar to the way a deer stops when it sees oncomming headlights.

I visited a friend of mine in New Orleans this summer and there were 2 emergency response vehicles driving down one of the main streets to the French Quarter with some new type of siren blasting. The sound was so irritating that I had to cover my ears. Screwed up part of the whole thing was that there was no traffic and they drove about 6 blocks made a U turn came back up and parked in front of the police station!!! two (2) day in a row

I think this is a really neat idea. They should up the range and make a directional bulge lin the wave pattern tied to the turnsingles that way people would know which the cops are wanting to go and be able to clear out ahead of them. I don’t think they should be on cop cars they should be on ambulances. I mean it would really help the medics get were they are needing to go. They definatly should not be on cop cars though cuase they cruise around all day. If just gona tear the pavement, store front windows, and brick buildings up that much faster. This is really interesting idea though if they programmed it with the resonances for say glass all your molotovs would burst before the cops came into throwing range. If they programmed the resonance for steel all your pipe bombs would go off too. Shit the bullets in your gun might start gang firing put you in a world of hurt. Never mind the innocent people drinking hard alchohol and trying to light a cigarrete.
Bottom line its going to cuase more harm than good if its on crusers cuase earthquakes scare the shit outa people it will be likely to cuase chaos on the street when people are running for cover.
If they are going to use it all they need to make sure everyone knows what it is coming. If they could somehow shield the people the the cruser and turn it way up they could become roaming death. They could just surround protesters and vibrate them all to death or unconsciousness.
You have to love your enemy or be consumed by hate. And if you love someone you dont take any shit off them. I actualy respect the bastards this a a brilliant application of a technology that probably doesn’t cost very much to produce and train with.

I have an urgent message for you, more important than any message you can hear. You could be perfect in all the law and stumble at one point and it is as if you broke all of them:

God wrote the law on each man’s heart so they are without excuse on judgment day when we will ALL stand before Christ(”Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another” Romans 2:15). The penalty of sin is death and eternal punishment in the LAKE OF FIRE. I am warning you about hell because I love you! You are dead in your sins and headed for hell which is described in the Word as a FIRE THAT QUENCHES NOT(”…the fire is not quenched” Mark 9:44). It is a horrible and terrible place of everlasting torment that people will go because of their sins.
“And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.” Luke 16:22-24
“In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;” 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9
But God has provided a way for each to escape the lake of fire. He sent his Son Jesus(God manifest in the flesh-1 Timothy 3:16) who was conceived by a virgin by the Holy Spirit of God,lived a sinless life, and suffered a horrible death/shed blood and rose again 3 days later to take the penalty of YOUR sins so you dont have to pay for them in hell for eternity! He loved you so much which is why he did it! He is the only one to have fufilled the law perfectly(sinless) and paid the price of the entire world’s sins so that man could be saved on the merits of His perfection(see Romans 5:19). All you must do to be saved is BELIEVE in Him(trust in Him to save you as a sinner). You must admit your lost sinful condition to Him/that you’re worthy of hell, and ask Him to save you by placing complete trust in Jesus ALONE for salvation(an example in the Word of someone doing this- “And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.” Luke 18:13).It is not even partly by yourselves that you can be saved, but only by the merits of Jesus Christ!

No works or anything you do can save you! May God open your eyes, that one day I may see you in heaven. Read the Word of God(the 1611 King James version- NOT the modern versions, they are corrupt) before rejecting it! Death is fleeting. You may NOT have tomorrow! For death comes when we least expect it! Make sure you are saved TODAY! The Bible condemns the rich, the wealthy, and those who take advantage of the poor, so it CANNOT have been made up by the elite. Because the Word clearly CONDEMNS people such as those! It declares all mankind as sinners(myself included).

Just because someone says they are a Christian does not necessarily mean they are one(remember the crusades in history? Many were murdered in the name of Christianity. I checked mine as well. Have you noticed that more and more computers and laptops are coming with built in webcams? I mean, it is VERY convienent, but they could also be used to invade your privacy. It sounds paranoid, but if you think about it, its very very possible. Especially with the centralization of power going on. Think of it this way, you buy a new laptop, you connect it to the internet, and you visit some “extremist” websites, The webcam can snap a quick picture and send it off to god knows where.

This business with the ‘rumbler’ might work in the outer boroughs, but I don’t think it will do so well in Midtown. It’s difficult enough to figure out where sirens are coming from, echoing off the buildings, and that rumbling noise will be ignored (sounds like the C train uptown).

Maybe if more people had enough common sense to realise they need to see and hear when they are out and about,and were responsible enough to help those who can’t see or hear,this shit wouldn’t happen,and these things wouldn’t ever be considered necessary.
