President Obama today proposed tough standards for tailpipe emissions from new automobiles, establishing the first nationwide regulation for greenhouse gases.

The president praised automakers, unions and political leaders for forging what he called a “historic agreement to help America break its dependence on oil, reduce harmful pollution and begin the transition to a clean-energy economy.”
“In the past, an agreement such as this . . . would have been considered impossible,” the president said in a speech at the White House Rose Garden. “It’s no secret that these are folks who’ve occasionally been at odds for years, even decades.” But the “status quo is no longer acceptable,” he added.

Under their little schemes, my farm (with more than 100 acres of trees) does not entitle me to any Carbon Credits. They want to tax my 20 HP Kubota with its .77 liter, 3 cylinder diesel engine as much as they tax a White Freightliner.
But some Corporation selling deforested acreage in Peru can give you Carbon Credit Forgiveness at the Altar of Al Gore and his media whore wife. Check out some of the articles on the web about Carbon Credits for South American Forest Space…. some guy a couple of years ago bought some Carbon Credits because he was a left wing nutjob, then turned around and discovered that the GPS coordinates of his “acreage” was nothing but clay and cracked mud.

It’s true there is technology available that would make autombiles get that kind of mileage. We’ll never see it though, to many greedy & corrupt Oil Co. CEO’s won’t allow it. I work in the Heavy Truck industry and it’s crazy how everythings focused on emmisions. Exhaust recirculation, DPF’s, Urea injection. They mount a ton of shit on these trucks to virtually eliminate exhaust gas which is great but nothings ever done to increase mileage. The 2010 trucks are still getting the same mileage as trucks did hell 50 years ago. 5 to 7 mpg max.

Now there is Farm Fleet Fuel, if you can take over two hundred gallons at a time you can get it at half the pump price. Not the little guys like me though.

They’re chemtrailing us, modifying the weather. They are CAUSING global warming by putting constant aerosol shields over the cities and blaming it on car emissions so they can tax and fine US for messing up the earth. Their fake clouds keep the heat from escaping back into space.
Where the heck do you think the money goes? 7 trillion $ just somehow “lost”? These chemicals they’re putting into the atmosphere cost money, and they have to pay the pilots. A worldwide spraying campaign costs big bucks. Of course they aren’t going to tell anyone the truth. They’re just now coming out with “oh, now we have to spray stuff into the air to combat global warming” because people are waking up to the fact that the spraying IS happening. It’s no longer safe to be outside on a chemtrail day. Safer to mall-walk or jog on a treadmill.
After a big thunderstorm there were some sort of white “crystals” all over my car that looked suspiciously like snow. WAY too big to be pollen. But it doesn’t snow in May! They sort of melted into a gloppy mess after a while. I would have collected some of it if I knew what to do with it.

Greenhouse gasses. How would you measure them? What about cooking fires in Africa (burning cow dung) or wood fires in the Amazon? The idea that only cars and power plants release greenhouse gasses is absurd. We have been releasing carbon from fuels since we discovered fire you government/environmental idiots. Our 1970 Chevelle SS 454 convertable gets a whopping 9 mpg, when my guy doesn’t have his foot in it. Then when he does nail it, we get maybe 3 or 4 mpg. Guess what? We love it, drive it daily, and will never let the jackboots take it from us. There is plenty of oil, it’s a naturally occuring renewble resource. Blow it out your tailpipes as fast as you can. BTW, I’m SURE that the president, his aides and cabinet, his secret protectors, and all members of congress will also be buying these new green lightweight, plastic POS tiny death traps they are going to mandate the rest of the people to buy and drive, right????? Interesting how the Obama administration’s plan to reduce our dependence on oil is by continuing to use it. Note the complete lack of any mention of alternative technologies, such as electricity. This tells me the government is, of course, still run, in part, by the oil interests within the corporate elite, not the least of which is the Rockefellers who, through a long-standing web of interlocking directorates, have owned most of the oil industry.
Don’t get me wrong, though. I could care less about so-called “carbon emissions.” There is no evidence to support the claim that CO2 causes atmospheric warming. It doesn’t. My concern is in seeing us get rid of oil-based technology, simply to be rid of paying for it. If everyone drove electric vehicles, we’d save thousands of dollars a year, individually, and the oil industry would have to diversify into other areas and would, thus, lose its economic stranglehold over us.

If I want to buy and run a car that gets the best mileage available, then so be it. Let the markets decide. The Gov’t will again screw this up just like they do with subsidies and unfair regulations. Todays newer cars could easily increase their mileage by 1/3 to 1/2, just by reprogramming the computer to lean out the engines. Only the factory is allowed to do that though. I’ve tweaked a Ford explorer with a 5.0L V8 to get 31MPG and a Toyota Camry v6 to get 55 MPG. So I know it can be done. Of course I tuned them back to factory because they were way under emission specs and they wouldn’t pass smog because the smog tech said they must have been tampered with to have such clean readings. If we quit burning 40% of the fuel we buy in the cat. converter and let the engine burn it, our mileage would be awesome. But the almighty oil companies wouldn’t have such large profits.

in Ca.When you have a 5 gallon bucket filled half with water,and you piss in it,you will have the same amount of piss in that bucket if you add 1 quart of water or a gallon,THAT WAS THE way a smog
