Obama has authored a bill, and it is now in the Senate, to give the UN .7% of our GNP to be used to feed hungry 3rd worlders, AND to use UN force to disarm you and me and all gun owners. No one in the media has brought this to the attention of the general sheeple out here.

Obama’s bill S2433 would require the U.S. to initially direct .7 percent of our GNP into the United Nations coffers for distribution as they see fit, for "food" to third world nations. Under earlier agreements this would evolve into a national tax on the U.S. with the UN attempting to levy this on all first world nations.
The U.N. would have the power to increase this rate of taxation.
The U.S. would be required to surrender some of its sovereignty over foreign aid by putting it under UN control. The bill would force the U.S. to sign onto the U.N.’s Millennium Declaration, which would commit us not only to "banning small arms and light weapons" but also to adhere to the International Criminal Court Treaty and the Kyoto Protocol.

Global Poverty Act of 2007 – Directs the President, through the Secretary of State, to develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to further the U.S. foreign policy objective of promoting the reduction of global poverty, the elimination of extreme global poverty, and the achievement of the United Nations Millennium Development Goal of reducing by one-half the proportion of people, between 1990 and 2015, who live on less than $1 per day.

Requires the strategy to contain specific and measurable goals and to consist of specified components, including: (1) continued investment or involvement in existing U.S. initiatives related to international poverty reduction and trade preference programs for developing countries; (2) improving the effectiveness of development assistance and making available additional overall United States assistance levels as appropriate; (3) enhancing and expanding debt relief as appropriate; (4) mobilizing and leveraging the participation of businesses and public-private partnerships; (5) coordinating the goal of poverty reduction with other internationally recognized Millennium Development Goals; and (6) integrating principles of sustainable development and entrepreneurship into policies and programs.
Sets forth specified reporting requirements. Directs the Secretary of State to designate a coordinator who will have primary responsibility for overseeing and drafting the reports, as well as responsibility for helping to implement recommendations contained in the reports.<br>
Defines specified terms.

We know for a fact that this bill will cost America $845 billion above and beyond what America already spends on global aid in the next thirteen years. America will be locked in to giving .7 percent of the U.S. gross national product. That in itself is scary enough, but there is way more to Obama’s bill. It also locks us into United Nations Millennium Summit. Cliff Kincaid from Accuracy in Media is all over this bill. He writes-(Underlined by me)
The bill institutes the United Nations Millennium Summit goals as the benchmarks for U.S. spending.
"It is time the United States makes it a priority of our foreign policy to meet this goal and help those who are struggling day to day," a statement issued by supporters, including Obama, said.
Specifically, it would "declare" that the official U.S. policy is to eliminate global poverty, that the president is "required" to "develop and implement" a strategy to reach that goal and requires that the U.S. efforts be "specific and measurable."
Kincaid said that after cutting through all of the honorable-sounding goals in the plan, the bottom line is that the legislation would mandate the 0.7 percent of the U.S. GNP as "official development assistance."
"In addition to seeking to eradicate poverty, that (U.N.) declaration commits nations to banning ’small arms and light weapons’ and ratifying a series of treaties, including the International Criminal Court Treaty, the Kyoto Protocol (global warming treaty), the Convention of Biological Diversity, the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women and the Convention of the Rights of the Child," he said.
Those U.N. protocols would make U.S. law on issues ranging from the 2nd Amendment to energy usage and parental rights all subservient to United Nations whims.
Kincaid also reported Jeffrey Sachs, who runs the "Millennium Project," confirms a U.N. plan to force the U.S. to pay 0.7 percent of GNP would add about $65 billion a year to what the U.S. already donates overseas.
And the only way to raise that funding, Sachs confirms, "is through a global tax, preferably on carbon-emitting fossil fuels," Kincaid writes.
On the forum run by Americans for Legal Immigration PAC, one writer reported estimates of taxes from 35 cents to $1 dollar a gallon on gasoline would be needed.(LINK)

In 1961 public law 87-297 was passed making way for a merger between the US and the UN.
87-297 violates the clear intent of the constitution (right to keep and bear arms) calling for the diaarming of all Americans. Obama is just following orders as he would if elected. The UN conference on small arms deals only with the “illicit” weapons trade, and specifically says that the gun ownership laws of individual states will not be infringed upon. Now, we all know that these organizations try their best to dispel our concerns with pretty words, but to say that the UN wants to take individuals’ weapons without telling us that the resolution specifically says “illicit” is somewhat misleading.
I love you, Alex, but please don’t leave out key words because many people won’t take the time to look up the actual resolution. I’m no fan of the United Nations, but I don’t believe the Small Arms Conference is nefarious as this article makes it sound.

Considering the fact that we have several pieces of legislation that nulify the 2nd and 4th amendments I would bet they’ll come for non “illicit” guns too. Not a good idea on their part. If you take guns away from americans, and a war breaks out in our country for any reason. The population would be helpless. With the protection of guns other countrys are intemidated by us and keeping us safe for the time being. If this bill passes bad things will happen.
If this billl passess, cattle farmers will need to raise more cattle per year to make up for the reduction of hunters. This will increase the price of meat do to a need for more land, transprtation costs, and an increase in supplie and demand.
The fact this bill will lead to increased taxes, is a bad thing in a recession. This will lead to a depresion a hole lot faster. The unemployed rate will increase drastlicly.

Ok, Fred…calm down. If the article is citing one particular UN resolution that does not say what it says it does, I have a problem with that. If there is another resolution that actually says what you’re saying it does, fine. Use that one in an article about how Obama is trying to disarm Americans. Most societies that have this level of income are more village based, where ‘income’ is not important, as you probivide for the community and they in turn provide for you. IE, you farm and provide food grain for the community and then the baker and carpenter provide you with bread and shelter. Basically confining ‘poverty’ to ‘level of income’ is a nice way to cram capitailism down the throats of small self containted communities that get by just fine on their own, using a barter system or just plain good work ethic and morals. They need to find a better way to define poverty. Your level of income is not your standard of living.

There apparently is another one that does, but the UN resolution here talks about cracking down on the illicit gun trade. Now, of course, if the member states decide to make all firearms illegal, then we have a problem. But the UN is NOT trying to disarm us with this resolution.

There are currently (approx) 175 million privately owned firearms in the hands of 85 million Americans.
Besides training and becoming formidable with our personally owned weapons we should also be endeavouring to DOUBLE both the number of gun owners as well as privately owned guns.

In this way has the hatred of infidels message espoused by the original Wahabbi been spread throughout the world, even to countries where the Muslims have never even met an American or an Israeli, e.g., Indonesia, Dafur, Chechyna, Western China, Yemen, Somalia, Chad, Algeria, Tunisia, the Philippine Islands, Pakistan, and the United States of America. If you view Barack Obama’s policy statements and proposed legislation through this lens, he comes into clear focus as a spokesperson for the Muslim terrorists and for Wahabbi Muslims. Need I remind any American that fifteen Saudi Arab Wahabbi Muslims were among the “martyrs for Islam” who bombed the World Trade Towers and the Pentagon building and who crashed a plane into a Pennsylvania field on September 11, 2001? Further, has anyone done an analysis of the contributors to Barack Hussein Obama’s political campaign war chest? I would be surprised if even one-half of his contributions come from U.S. citizens. I suspect that the majority of his campaign funds have been paid for by Muslim organizations. e.g., C.A.I.R. in the U.S. and from every Muslim foreign country. And how does Barack Hussein (his chosen adopted names) Obama get a “pass” from the mainstream media for a father who was not just a Muslim but was a leading terrorist in the Muslims murdering Christians in Kenya? Just asking additional questions for someone with knowledge to answer regarding a man who has exhibited the earmarks of a Wahabbi Muslim apologist and who seeks to become the President of the United States. . . . Perhaps it is time to answer some of these questions, if only to establish Mr. Obama’s bona fides as a true American patriot worthy of being Commander-in-Chief of the greatest military presence on this planet.

You allude to Obamas ties to Muslims and Saudies in particular, what about the Bush familys ties to the royal Saudies, particularely Prince Bandar who worked for King Fahd, and was a virtual drop in guest and confident of both Bush Sr. and Jr.? No other administration has had such a relationship with the Arabs.

Well Ben in reference to your comment, this is not bull. The last time I checked the dictionary, this is an act of treason handing over our government to the power of another. From President down to civil servent we all take an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution. However, our government has been violating the Constitution since the Federal Reserve Bank was created. Our system of goverment was set in a Godly manner, however there are those politicians who have let greed and corruption enter in to run it into the ground. I as a law abiding citizen should not have to be held responsible for the raping that our govenment has commited around the world. While Ben is right we do not compare to what goons do in other countries. The goons are now knocking on our door.
