The Democratic nomination is now Barack Obama’s to lose.
After 10 consecutive defeats — including a heartbreaker in tailor-made Wisconsin on Tuesday — Hillary Rodham Clinton can’t win the nomination unless Obama makes a major mistake or her allies reveal something damaging about the Illinois senator’s background. Don’t count her out quite yet, but Wisconsin revealed deep and destructive fractures in the Clinton coalition.
It’s panic-button time.
That explains why Clinton’s aides accused Obama of plagiarism for delivering a speech that included words that had first been uttered by Deval Patrick, the Massachusetts governor and a friend of Obama. The charge bordered on the hypocritical — Clinton herself has borrowed Obama’s lines — and by itself was unlikely to have an impact on the race.
Clinton claimed Tuesday that reporters, not her campaign, pushed the plagiarism story line. That is not true.
The Clinton camp hopes to produce other instances of rhetorical theft and show a pattern of bad behavior. The danger for Obama is anything that undercuts his image as a candidate who rises above politics. Something like this might work to Clinton’s advantage: Obama is backtracking on a pledge to abide by spending caps in the general election, and his explanation is bogus.

I think this is all meant to happen, later on down the line though HILLARY will have the upperhand and squeek by, not to sound too crazy but IT IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH still so perhaps thats why this Black CFR guy is getting this boost. I think he is too green to be president and it is clear the HILLARY/BUSH clan are going to make sure their regime continues to rule the white house. Expect this CFR goon to be vice president though, that much is possible.

Does anyone else worry that Obama is being set-up to take a fall? What better pretext for the POTUS to declare martial law than an untimely “removal” of the Senator, thus inciting race riots nationwide and a “need” to step-in and control the masses? I think that the sheeple would be more apt to fall for such a ploy, as opposed to some sort of economic emergency/bank run.

i honestly think that st paul convention is a risk pertaining to any 9-11 like event, take note of this, I read my bible, I have had visionary dreams that lead logic to one thing, one picture..a lone star, a blue turban, and dreams of disaster..it can add up, and I hope it doesnt happen. The CFR has a very large membership, it is not some lockstep organization. Obama’s involvement does not make him a globalist “plant”. Rather, CFR and other groups probably function more for networking, exposing, and acculturating up-and-coming pols who show potential into the upper echelons of establishment discourse, and its competing strains (though within certain parameters, of course). Its correlation rather than causation. Presidential candidates are LIKELY also members of CFR, just like a highschool valdictorian will also LIKELY be a member of the National Honor Society. But the group also contains many functionaries and nameless policy wonks who lack the charisma or drive to seek higher public office.
And as for black history month being the reason Obama’s getting his boost? Thats absurd. Obama’s about charisma and momentum. His supporters, black, white, brown, whatever… I think are there because he represents hope for change. Not just represents, but makes one feel it.
I strongly backed Ron Paul up through the primaries and wish he could be our president. But at this juncture, his ideas were very strongly injected into the debate and I consider that a success. So now, I’m throwing my support behind Obama because a) He can beat Hillary and McCain b) he inspires people, transcends race, and will offer the world an antithesis to Bush.
Yes, I recognize that those are less substantive reasons. But under the circumstances I will defend their validity.

Well ZOG, although I guess no one can actually “transcend” race, Obama is a black man pulling in supporters from ALL races. His support is inclusive, not polarizing like, say, Al Sharpton.
If I’m deluded about Obama know that its a conscious chioce… I’m tired of doom and gloom. I’m tired of prophets and peddlers of this nihlist concept that the NWO controls absolutely everything so that nothing matters, all hope is an illusion designed to distract and nullify this or that demographic, et al ad infinitum. This tendency borders on psychological projection of magical powers bestowed upon “the globalists”. The parroting and choir preaching about all these “monkey of the same tree” etc. that goes on with message boards like this one often serves as nothing more than a free pass to verify certain ideas without rational thought, sourcing, or documentation.
And have you ever considered that if certain cliques of self-conscious globalists do exist, that these just might be exactly the kind of (bordering on omnipotent) power myths they might wish to sustain in order to drive their opposition to distraction and despair? Just saying…
There’s a bit of uncertainty left in this world, I feel. Therefore I’m hedging my bets and going with the guy that not only makes me feel good, but has the best shot at winning. Obama 2008!

Hey, I’m glad everyone’s so concerned for me! I already knew of Zbeig’s involvement, (and have read his “Grand Chessboard” book) didn’t know about this Goolsby/Bonesman fellow. Look, I never said I thought Obama was actually REAL change, only contending that there is some degree of difference and that subjectively, he inspires hope in many people which I don’t think should be totally disregarded. And also, that, “as we all know”, these types of associations are rather unavoidable at the highest political echelons.
As far as this distant cousins thing, whats your point? Are you hinting at some David Icke-type ruling bloodlines idea? My great-great-grandfather was an estranged member of the (Woodrow) Wilson clan, disowned for marrying a Cherokee after the Civil War. Does that make me somehow complicit in the League of Nations? Also, statistically, what are the orders of magnitude involved in 10th or 11th cousins? Might I have a couple million 10th cousins myself? But maybe not so much, and maybe it is relevant… you’ve just left me hanging as to how. (?????)

Point well taken, ZOG. I need to do some more homework. However, a curious angle… Didn’t Zbeignew Brzezinski address Congress last year with a warning that a “provovation” could trigger a planned attack on Iran? Now, one could read that either way, I suppose… But I tend to see it as that within the broader “globalist” (elitist, etc) umbrella, there may be opposing agendas, ideologies, cliques, factions. To just shorthand them all as THEM, and to be undiscerning of nuance within the upper echelons is emotionally disempowering and an intellectual dead end.
Otherwise, all arguments simply circle back around to the point that THEY are already in control and all difference and hope is an illusion. Now, I had that basic revelation some time ago, understand the concepts of controlled opposition and all that…
I think there is the POSSIBILITY that the Obamenon wasn’t quite in the script. First of all, look at the implication of electronic vote fraud in New Hampshire FOR HILLARY as a bellweather for who the true establishment pick is. The smoky back room discussions are probably centering on whether Barack can be trusted to hold the steering wheel of the empire. Maybe there will be a contingency effort to contain his influence… Maybe he’s already fully contained?
I personally do not know enough at this point to make a judgement. But I like feelin’ good! I’m gonna just let myself feel good for a little bit. I promise I’ll do my homework eventually.
I went into credit card debt supporting Ron Paul, btw. Its just, at this point, of the three contenders, he’s better than Hill-bot or John 100-yrs-in-Iraq McCain.

Today, we can be sure that the Democratic Party, unless it faces a popular upsurge, will not move off center. The two leading Presidential candidates have made it clear that if elected, they will not bring an immediate end to the Iraq War, or institute a system of free health care for all.
They offer no radical change from the status quo.
They do not propose what the present desperation of people cries out for: a government guarantee of jobs to everyone who needs one, a minimum income for every household, housing relief to everyone who faces eviction or foreclosure.
They do not suggest the deep cuts in the military budget or the radical changes in the tax system that would free billions, even trillions, for social programs to transform the way we live.
None of this should surprise us. The Democratic Party has broken with its historic conservatism, its pandering to the rich, its predilection for war, only when it has encountered rebellion from below, as in the Thirties and the Sixties. We should not expect that a victory at the ballot box in November will even begin to budge the nation from its twin fundamental illnesses: capitalist greed and militarism.
So we need to free ourselves from the election madness engulfing the entire society, including the left.
Yes, two minutes. Before that, and after that, we should be taking direct action against the obstacles to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
For instance, the mortgage foreclosures that are driving millions from their homes-they should remind us of a similar situation after the Revolutionary War, when small farmers, many of them war veterans (like so many of our homeless today), could not afford to pay their taxes and were threatened with the loss of the land, their homes. They gathered by the thousands around courthouses and refused to allow the auctions to take place.
The evictions today of people who cannot pay their rents should remind us of what people did in the Thirties when they organized and put the belongings of the evicted families back in their apartments, in defiance of the authorities.
Historically, government, whether in the hands of Republicans or Democrats, conservatives or liberals, has failed its responsibilities, until forced to by direct action: sit-ins and Freedom Rides for the rights of black people, strikes and boycotts for the rights of workers, mutinies and desertions of soldiers in order to stop a war. Voting is easy and marginally useful, but it is a poor substitute for democracy, which requires direct action by concerned citizens.

DALLAS — Security details at Barack Obama’s rally Wednesday stopped screening people for weapons at the front gates more than an hour before the Democratic presidential candidate took the stage at Reunion Arena.
The order to put down the metal detectors and stop checking purses and laptop bags came as a surprise to several Dallas police officers who said they believed it was a lapse in security.
Dallas Deputy Police Chief T.W. Lawrence, head of the Police Department’s homeland security and special operations divisions, said the order — apparently made by the U.S. Secret Service — was meant to speed up the long lines outside and fill the arena’s vacant seats before Obama came on.
