Obama’s White House insists the Anointed One did not bow and scrape before the decrepit King of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah, even though the disgusting instance of mandatory deference was captured on video. “It wasn’t a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he’s taller than King Abdullah,” insisted an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Positive proof Obama bowed to King Abdullah. Our forefathers would have been aghast at such fawning deference.

The Washington Times got it right even if the rest of the fawning corporate media did not. Obama preformed a “shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate” and said it violated centuries of American tradition of not deferring to royalty.
In Saudi Arabia the media understands Obama did indeed bow in the presence of King Abdullah and appreciates the deference. “Obama wished to demonstrate his respect and appreciation of the personality of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz, who has made one of the most important calls in the modern era, namely the call for inter-faith and inter-cultural dialogue to defuse the hatred, conflict and wars,” wrote the columnist, Muhammah Diyab.
Obama also groveled before the two British royal creatures and even allowed the former Nazi youth member Prince Philip to sarcastically ask if Obama could tell the difference between various European leaders.

Your interpretation of scripture is interesting, but your name calling speaks volumes. It does not matter whether one believes that Christ was simply a man or messiah, he led by example. By his example, he became one of the world’s leaders of a movement that he still is head of today, even if it is in spirit only. My previous posting was not to compare Obama to Christ as a messiah, it was to compare his behavior as the leader of a free world. Granted his style may be different than that of his predecessor, but let’s not forget that very style is what got him elected. Christ’s was example to the world, not just to his disciples. His message was to go forth and spread the good news. I don’t think he meant that spreading of the good news by being arrogant, condescending, or threatening.

I might painfully remind you that the bailouts started in October, 2008 under the last administration and, after eight years of their policies and practices. And as far as the money changing tables being overturned in the midst of wrongdoing, it is hardly the same to compare it to a cordial meeting of world leaders in the midst of trying to solve world problems. No one from either side of the aisle is a fan of the bailouts, that is unless you are the one in receipt of same, but this President has been left with an economic mess that has had global impact and has the very, very difficult job of trying to forge a path of solutions, not only nationally, but internationally. I might add that it was the treasoness acts of greedy corporations from both sides of the aisle that took our trade and secrets overseas, that made this national economy, a global one. Our national sovereignty was sold down the river with trade agreements like NAFTA and CAFTA because corporations decided things looked better overseas. They are beginning to find out this is a very small world and it is harvest time for the seeds that have been planted. There is enough blame to go around on both sides of the aisle, but I hardly think laying it at the feet of someone who has been in office less than 100 days is the answer. I compare President Barack Obama to Jesus Christ as a world leader, not as the messiah. The fact that he is articulate, intelligent and humble enough to be respectful of the immensity of global circumstances doesn’t make him messianic, it demonstrates that he has the ability to bridge gaps left by his predecessors. It does not matter whether you believe that Christ was the messiah or simply a human that lived, you can’t argue that he still today is one of the most influential leaders of history. When people have nothing intelligent to say, they resort to name calling and to personal attacks. It doesn’t make their positions any more credible and it sounds like sour grapes. President Obama has demonstrated that he is indeed capable of commanding the world stage. The totality of his actions will speak louder than words, just as they did for his predecessor and we will ALL continue to watch and come to our own conclusions.

I saw the footage from another angle and it most definately is a bow to the Saudi king. I have heard some people say that it is a sign of respect to a king who deserves such because he is the king. My problem with that is that by bowing to a foreign king, he just disrespected every American. The very people he is supposed to be representing. I really don’t care what his reason was for doing it, I personally believe that it was very wrong. Also, the media that deny he did it are obviously lying to us. Do they really think that we are so stupid that we wouldn’t be able to tell that it was a bow and not picking up a quarter or bending to tie his shoes? All I know is that this blatant lie from the White House is proof positive that anyone should be able to see for themselves.

I have no evidence that Barack Obama lied. We may have an honest difference of opinion of our interpretation of circumstances, but I would hardly call that a lie. A lie is more like claiming a country has weapons of mass destruction, creating the environment to make people believe that the country has weapons of mass destruction, even though you know they don’t, and then using that lie to invade a foreign country for reasons which were not disclosed to the country that you are suppose to serve. Now that’s a lie! And that lie directly caused the death of more people than those that were tragically killed on Septembeer 11th.

A lie is like claiming he will withdraw the troops from Iraq and then NOT doing so. (which he did)
A lie is saying he would reverse Bush policies on spying on people and then not doing so. (which he did)

I thought long and hard about your many unsubstantiated accusations and high expectations that the eight years of policies enacted by President Obama’s predecessor and that miraculously President Obama was somehow suppose to overturned all of the last eight years in less than 100 days (80 to be exact) with far worse economic circumstances than his predecessor inherited. Rome was not built in a day and I personally do not see evidence of increased spying, just the same old helicopters and planes that have been over my house for the last eight years and a few cars following here and there, phones tapped, you know, the same old things. Granted they have not gone away, but I currently attribute that to the predecessor’s lasting infestation of the system. It is my bet that you did not vote for President Obama, and that’s fine, but realize, he still has the support of the majority. If he is not effective, he will lose the majority’s support, but, for now, I see no evidence that is happening. It appears just the same 22% that were loyal diehard Bush fans seem to have all the conspiracy theories about Obama. You are entitled to your opinion, no matter how right or wrong it is. If your comment of Bush 2 on steroids is in reference to those that have versus those that don’t or are fast losing what they have worked a lifetime for, then perhaps we can find middle ground. Wild accusations are just that and even the wildest can’t erase the truth of the last eight years. We lost our constitutional rights under Bush and through the Patriot Act and all the fear mongering about 9/11. These tactics are reminiscent of the same ones that were employed prior to WWII and were the cause of World War II. After the last eight years, I am cautiously willing to give President Obama the benefit of the doubt and my support. He deserves at least that. It is one thing to grasp hands and nod the head downward as a sign of respect but its another thing to bow that low and forward… and that’s exactly what Obama did. It was a “grovel bow”.

Obama knows what he’s doing.
First,the Saudi’s set the price of oil,secondly,the Saudi’s buy our treasury debt with the dollars that we give them for oil (petrodollar recycling).
Also, the Saudi’s could at any time decide to sell oil in Euros which would collapse the dollar.
Obama is much smarter to bow down to these guys than to show any disrespect.
