Obama Regulatory Reform Plan Officially Establishes Banking Dictatorship

President Obama’s plan to give the privately-owned and unaccountable Federal Reserve complete regulatory oversight across the entire U.S. economy, which is likely to be enacted before the end of the year, will officially herald the beginning of a new form of government in the United States – an ultra-powerful banking dictatorship controlled by a small gaggle of shadowy and corrupt elitists.
The new rules would see the Fed given the authority to “regulate” any company whose activity it believes could threaten the economy and the markets.
This goes a step further than the centrally planned economies of the Soviet Union or Communist China, in that the Federal Reserve is not even accountable to the U.S. government, it is a private entity that according to former Fed chairman Alan Greenspan, is accountable to nobody but the banking families that own it.
Obama’s regulatory “reform” plan is nothing less than a green light for the complete and total takeover of the United States by a private banking cartel that will usurp the power of existing regulatory bodies, who are now being blamed for the financial crisis in order that their status can be abolished and their roles handed over to the all-powerful Fed.
According to an Associated Press report today, Democratic leaders have committed to enacting the plan before the end of the year and Republicans in both the House and Senate have indicated that they won’t stand in the way of the overhaul.
“The final plan….is expected to sidestep most jurisdictional disputes and simply impose across the board standards to be applied by all financial regulators, according to administration and industry sources, ” reports the Washington Times.
In other words, the Fed, which is already totally unaccountable to Congress, is to be placed in complete control of the entirety of the U.S. financial system, to do as it wishes without repercussion.
As the LA Times reports, the government, in conjunction with the private Federal Reserve, would effectively have the clout to simply seize and take over any company it desires.
In order to appease those opposed to the plan, such as Sen. Christopher J. Dodd, chairman of the Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs, the Obama administration has agreed to create a “watchdog” council of regulators to “advise the Fed”.
However, as former chairman Alan Greenspan has most recently pointed out, given that the Fed is an independent entity, and therefore accountable to no one, it will have the power to simply reject and overrule any advice it is offered.
Pointing out the flagrant conflict of interest in empowering the Federal Reserve to essentially regulate itself, Professor of public affairs at the University of Texas at Austin Robert Auerbach writes, “The Federal Reserve has massive conflicts of interest that make it ill suited for its present regulatory functions and certainly for an expanded regulatory reach. The officials leading the Fed today preside over an organization that is run in substantial part by the bankers they regulate. Bank regulation begins at its 12 district Federal Reserve Banks, each governed by a nine-member board of directors, two-thirds of whom are elected by the bankers in the district.”
As economic author Nomi Prins highlights, Obama’s plan does nothing whatsoever to fix the excesses of financial institutions blamed for the financial collapse, it only ensures their continued operation and an expansion of the practices that contributed to the economic crisis in the first place.
“The ’sweeping overhaul’ of the financial system detailed by Geithner on behalf of the Obama administration does not overhaul the system at all,” writes Prins, “giving the Fed a bigger role, creating a ‘council of regulators’ to oversee the existing oversight bodies and allowing the biggest Wall Street players to maintain their status, leaves the system intact.”
“The Federal Reserve is not a fully public entity. It has amassed a set of $7.87 trillion worth of facilities and other entities through which it has lavished cheap loans in return for questionable collateral from the banking system. It has kept the true nature of these transactions a secret despite numerous FOIA requests. And, it has actively promoted the creation of bigger institutions in a chaotic environment, rather than putting the brakes on the creation of these giants,” concludes Prins.
Proof that the agenda of implementing overt financial dictatorship is being carefully coordinated can be seen in the fact that an almost identical scheme is also being set up in the United Kingdom, where “The governor of the Bank of England has called for greater powers to allow it to fulfil its new role of promoting financial stability,” according to a BBC report.

Just as in the U.S., King is calling for traditional independent regulatory bodies to be all but abolished and replaced by the Bank of England itself, which just like the Federal Reserve is a private outfit with no accountability to the government whatsoever.
The mainstream media, for the most part, has reported the oversight plan as a much needed regulatory crackdown on those responsible for the financial crisis. However, the details of the plan constitute almost exactly what lobbyists for leading bankers have been pushing for over the past few weeks.
“All derivatives contracts will be subject to regulation and all derivatives dealers subject to supervision,” Treasury Secretary Timothy F. Geithner said at a Time Warner Economic Summit in New York on Monday, also noting “When you have too many people involved, there’s an accountability problem.”
As we reported earlier this month, heads of nine of the biggest banks in the derivatives market, including JP Morgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup and Bank of America, secretly lobbied to keep derivatives under Federal Reserve “oversight” and away from real scrutiny.
As reported by The New York Times, they all met secretly to discuss how to use the lax regulation and institutional secrecy of the NY Fed to shield their credit-default swaps business from prying eyes and attempts at regulation.
The banks formed a lobby– the CDS Dealers Consortium– only weeks after accepting TARP funds in October 2008 to protect its interests. Heading this effort was Edward Rosen, who previously helped fend off derivatives regulation. Rosen wrote and circulated a “confidential memo” to the Treasury Department and leaders on Capital Hill, making their agenda clear, the Times reported.
Rosen and his backers propose that derivatives be “traded in privately managed clearinghouses, with less disclosure,” according to the Times. The clearinghouse of choice for the big banks in Rosen’s CDS Consortium is ICE U.S. Trust, which is in turned regulated only by the Federal Reserve system.
So the upshot of all this is that the bankers get what they want, are allowed to carry on as they were, while at the same time the fractional reserve banking system and the federal government are both greatly expanded and empowered, and the compliant corporate media ludicrously tells us that a strict crackdown is underway.
This kind of activity is exactly what some leading representatives have warned of in recent weeks.
A fortnight ago, the Democratic Chairman of the Agriculture Committee, Collin Peterson, announced to the press that “The banks run the place,” in reference to the US Congress.
While Peterson is also pushing for legislation to regulate derivatives trading, his proposed bill would limit derivatives trading to public exchanges, rather than private clearinghouses, which are managed by banks.
Peterson’s warning mirrors that of Democratic Senator Dick Durbin, who just a few weeks before uttered the same rarely acknowledged truth.
“And the banks — hard to believe in a time when we’re facing a banking crisis that many of the banks created — are still the most powerful lobby on Capitol Hill. And they frankly own the place,” Durbin said.
How simultaneously dangerous and ridiculous it is that the Federal Reserve is given more authority to oversee the economy. This is the same privately run entity that refused to comply with congressional demands for transparency and disclose the destination of trillions dollars in bailout funds. It is the same privately owned entity that has withheld internal memos, in spite of freedom of information act requests. It is the same private entity, run for the most part by European banking elites, that has arrogantly refused to tell Senators and Congressmen which banks were in receipt of government loans.
The government is ready to hand over everything to a monolithic private corporation and a gaggle of bastard banker offspring, that have gobbled up an amount close to the entire GDP of the country in taxpayers’ money and figuratively stuck the middle finger up regarding questions over where that money has gone.
It can be no more apparent than at this time that legislation to audit, repeal and eventually end the Federal Reserve, must be supported by Americans if they want to see their children and their grandchildren grow up without indentured debt and entrenched servitude to a fascistic marriage of private banks and hugely inflated government.

Did anybody pay close attention to Obama’s Oath when he was sworn in as president? If I’m not mistaken, he never said “To defend the Constitution from all Enemies, Foreign and Domestic”. Could someone check this out? I kept waiting to hear those words roll off his lips but I don’t think he took the full Oath. Biden did, I remember that for sure. the reason i posted the congressional record for the federal reserve act is because steve watson has it wrong in his above article on the way this legislation passed. as you can see from the congressional record. almost the whole congress and senate voted on this bill to make it law. i agree with most of Waton’s article about the disadvantage of the Fed to be given more powers to regulate. i am on the same page that having the Fed regulate any of these large institutions is like putting the fox in charge of the hen house but i am tired of the facts being misrepresented. Jim Mars got it wrong in his book and people take that misinformation as gospel. If this Website is to be taken seriously the Authors of the articles need to have their facts strait. we need sites like alex jones to give us an alternative views that we do not get from the mainstream press but if the articles are littered with misinformation the mainsrtream will continue to call people who genuinely want change for the better extremists and kooks . This is what I know and I may be wrong: Fed = IMF. Where did the IMF got a hold of 400 tons of gold? Who do they purchase them from?.

IMF has been giving loans to countries (banks) to bail them out and I am sure they have a contract clause that they cannot abandon the dollar as currency or face the penalty to be called out immediately. So other countries are stuck with the dollar as global currency; even if it is fiat money, is not backed by anything and despite all that printing.

Been a long long time since any real action has taken place on this land. Tom, Dick and Harry no longer have the skills of organizing at the level & intensity of what it will probably take. Wars have been ‘over there’…….in far away lands, etc.
In America ( as in other countries too ) the population consists of many levels of society and within those levels, are interests & motivations. There are people born here and there are immigrants and each have a view of what America is and what it means and differing views of the ‘government’. There is no ‘gel’ that will allow the population to stick together.
Some immigrants come here and probably think, ” Finally ! Im here. Damn…..now its time to get down to business and make some many here in the land of opportunities .”. Compare that, with a person that has lived all their life struggling after being born here and she or he will look at it differently.
Its as if the powers-that-be are fully aware of all this diversity and all the differing interests that lead people on different journeys sseking ‘personal security’. On the other hand, the criminals that claim to be there for all of us, are opportunists and take advantage. They are very well organized and working as 1.

I’d like to know the actual number of current active enlistees….just for curosity. I believe less than 10% of Americans have even served……that’s an extremely small number when you stop and think about it. Granted, not all of the remaining 90% would be “able”….but keep in mind too where our military currently are scattered, as well as subtract those who will choose to fight tyranny, not side with it…..and the numbers grow yet smaller.

Patriots have made plans as well, this situation didn’t just begin, it’s been happening little by little over the years, it has not gone undetected by everyone. The Americans who are prepared to take our country back can not fight as one, but there is no need to.

Start writing science and hanging them over billboards overpasses…
Write your congressman or senator’s and challenge them to debate you in front of a public forum…
Eliminate federal judges who do not pay taxes… that’s these judges oversee your case by law it’s a conflict of interest.
We can do this if we keep trying…. keep listening to your soul to worry about what the law or your church, neighbor or friend might think….. it’s time to listen to the inner voice inside you do the right thing.

The USA constitution is flawed because it’s man-made and since we are SO imperfect, therefore, it’s also imperfect. The constitution does not prohibit a central bank and that’s how they were able to install it, even though it was supposed to have good purposes. I spent about half a year paying attention to Alex Jones and InfoWars, With time it became very clear the racism and propaganda they put out. What Alex Jones inspires in people — which I felt myself falling for — is that Alex has the inside info, and if you are listening to him then you do, too, and soon it’s easy to adopt the attitude that only you know the truth and everyone else is deceived. If anyone reading this has an immediate reaction that what I’m saying here is bunk, that’s what I’m talking about. How many people actually DO look into what Alex says in great detail, truly considering all viewpoints? Check out “Extremism, Conspiracy Theory & Murder” on NPR’s “Fresh Air.” This doesn’t mean the current administration is free from corporate/banking control. It just means Alex, if you really look closely, is not worth paying much, if any, attention to; he does the same kind of scapegoating and demonizing that too many people, on the Left and the Right, carry out to very negative effects. Awareness, informed rational thought, positive energy that brings people together by respecting differences… that’s the way to go.

Did anybody pay close attention to Obama’s Oath when he was sworn in as president? If I’m not mistaken, he never said “To defend the Constitution from all Enemies, Foreign and Domestic”. Could someone check this out? I kept waiting to hear those words roll off his lips but I don’t think he took the full Oath. Biden did, I remember that for sure. I have only opened my eyes 4mths ago. I have researched Codex, 911, Celente (great man), Federal Reserve Bank and etc. Needless to say I am terrified. I always new that are “government” was curupt but I was blind to the extent. Over the past four months I have read every article on infowars, prisonplanet, blacklistednews, rebuplicbroadcasting.org, and etc. I have read countless blogs…some worthy some not. I AM A BELIEVER and scared on what to do. My husband and I argue everyday and are now sleeping in seperate bedrooms. He(58) is 17 years older than I(41) and a die hard “American”. I want to prepare and write congress IN protest, he belittles me. I want to move (French Quarter) to a safer area but he redicules me. If I leave, where do I go for support. I try to listen to him and then ask that he listen to me(ha), watch videos and do some research but he won’t. He still thinks that the Federal Reserve Bank is a branch of Congress…needless I say more. What I can I do to open his eyes. Please help!!!

Don’t kid yourself, this country is nowhere NEAR “dead”. Matter of fact, we haven’t even begun to fight yet. Why? Because when it’s all said and done, when all those who didn’t “make it” are being properly honored, or in some cases used as fill……then no one can say we didn’t try to do it peacefuly. It will be self-defense, and our hands will be forced.
Then they will be tried for their treason, and the jury will be the country, they will pay dearly, and publicly for their acts for all America to see how traitors are delt with. Future generations will remember these times, and remember the swift wrath of justice, and think hard and long before they try to enslave a free people, and out great country. We will NOT be robbed of our Constitution, rights, freedoms, money, minds, health, property, and everything which involves being an American.
The government has seen NOTHING! The few small protests some have attended will be NOTHING to the endless seas of Patriots that are prepared to rise-up for these United States of America. If they think people are helpless…..they are in for quite a suprise. And for those who consider themselves “in power”….we WILL get to you, you cannot hide, you cannot run. Those who you are currently hiding behind, your “protectors” will also pay unless they desert their posts, and they will WILLINGLY hand your treasonous asses over to the Patriots…..wait and see.

Which is exactly the reason the truth will be known, because this country is going to be taken back, and our Constitution will once again be the law of the land.
I get more prepared every day, and it matters not if the enemy is forein or domestic. Those who will threaten my life, and the foundation of my country will be dealt with equally, and without second thought or regret. Kill or be killed, there’s no way to explain it any different, they are threatening our lives, and need to be treated as such.
Some US troops will stand for the oath they swore, some will turn their backs on their own country. There’s a good chance that many will be out of the states when things go “sour”, which is the very reason they know their families and loved ones are protected….and that won’t happen from a lying government, they will be proteted by Patriots. This is why it’s so very beneficial for both sides for Patriots in and out of the military/LEO to unite.
This nation will soon be put back into being the great nation she once was, not the cesspool the scum are turning it into. Regardless the cost, it will be worth the price. Freedom does not come without its price, and I am prepared to pay that price. The alternative is NOT an option for me, or millions of other Americans who have been pushed far enough. It’s extremely close to the straw that broke the camels back, and when it happens….I pity the poor bastards who stand for tryanny, and against the freedom of ALL Americans.

To get the word out on this, i suggest doing this, which I’m going to do. And this should be done for every town and city, especially dealing with the swine flu bull. Print a copy of the article, go to a place like Staples, Kinkos, or your local gas station that has a copy machine, and print off about 100 copies. On Sunday, gather up your change and go to every news stand that charges a buck or so per paper, spend the money and place a copy into every news paper. Hit every vending paper stand in town. If your on bike, like myself, throw a copy into a mail box. Slide one under a windshield wiper. Its a small price to pay for your future. If you can copy Alex discussing this on to a CD add it to the Sunday paper. Im not the type to confront people yet, but im good at being slick.
