It’s just boring for Larry. All this talk of predatory credit card corporations and usury and soaking the middle class with endless fees. “As his boss spoke about creating a consumer-friendly credit card system Thursday morning, National Economic Council Chairman Lawrence Summers fell asleep,” writes Carol E. Lee for Politico.

It is said Congress is outraged by all of this. But not a word about the reason why Visa and Mastercard and the rest are doing this. Sure, it’s about good old fashion greed, but it also about a popular bankster trend: securitization. “From 2003 to 2007, seven of the largest issuers of credit cards packaged an increasing amount of card debt into securities and sold them to investors, just as banks did with mortgages,” reports USA Today. “Selling off credit card debt has given banks a powerful incentive to raise card fees and penalties, according to interviews with dozens of industry analysts, academics and investment specialists.”
In other words, if the banksters squeeze you and you default — especially as the economy heads down the tubes — no problem because they will “securitize” the bad loans the same way they do it with bad mortgages.
As a high muckamuck in the upper reaches of the Council on Foreign Relations, the World Bank, the Trilateral Commission, and the Bilderberg Group, Larry Summers has no interest in saving plebs from the predatory banksters. In fact, he is in place to facilitate the bankster fleecing of the commoners.

How to get the attention of Larry Summers? March the cops in and have him arrested for economic crimes against the people.
In 1999, as then Secretary of the Treasury, Larry Summers worked with the Clinton administration and Congress to repeal the Glass-Steagall Act so Citicorp could become Citigroup. Glass-Steagall Act was instituted during the Great Depression to prevent financial concerns from consolidating, that is to say allowing speculators to mix their toxic sludge in with commercial banking.
Larry Summers is one of the people most responsible for the failure of the banking system.
In addition, Summers helped Enron rip-off the people of California. In his book about Enron, Conspiracy of Fools, Kurt Eichenwald writes:
Even as blackouts shut down dialysis machines and traffic lights from Sacramento to San Diego, Summers and the Federal Reserve chairman, Alan Greenspan, decided to take a few moments to teach the California governor a lesson or two about free markets. In an emergency meeting the day after Christmas 2000, Summers and Greenspan, responding to the governor’s complaints about corporate tampering, lectured the governor that price manipulation was only possible because California had improperly regulated its markets. They urged the governor to take it easy on Enron and the other power companies because, in effect, being too critical of them might make them reluctant to do business in California. Summers and Greenspan pressured the governor to remove state caps on consumer rates.
So, that’s how you get Larry Summers to wake up — arrest him, slap him in handcuffs, and parade him around in an orange jumpsuit like a gang-banger headed for Rikers Island.

Patrick Henry gave at least one speech opposing the Constitution, mostly on the grounds
that it (in his words) “created a consolidated government,” which he feared would turn out
the way it has. Interesting that we hear so much about the “Federalists” and their writings,
but very little about those who opposed the central government.
Mr. Henry’s speech opposing the Constitution is very interesting to read. His warnings were
amazingly accurate. No doubt, some considered his concerns “extreme” at the time.

All I have to say is that if the banks can’t make a profit after charging 30% interest on their credit cards, then they probably deserve to fail.
The gov is going to have to reform credit cards, because it is like loan sharking, pure and simple. Late fees, 30.00, over the limit fees, another 30.00!
There should be a 15 day grace period, and a late fee should not be charged unless it was something like the 5th one in a year. Give the people a break.
There should be no over the limit fees. The charge should not go through if it is over the limit. This is just GREED from the banks…it really makes me angry.
There should also be a cap on what they can charge for interest too.
And last but no least, people need to live within their means. A CC should be for emergencies, like if your car breaks down and you can’t pay for it right then.
There should also be incentives for NOT using the card! If we don’t re-educate people, 20 years from now we will all be right back in the same boat again. I have one CC with a 300.00 limit. That’t is. I know plenty of people who no longer even have a card, they have a debit card instead, and I think that is a better idea, although I don’t trust a debit card when making online purchases, because someone could wipe out your back account.
CC can be an excellent financial tool, but we need some tough regulations, and now the gov is in the position to do that….never let a crisis go to waste….they could use this crisis to fix the credit card fiasco!

I’ve worked at the Capital One and our wonderful Citigroup’s inbound call centers. They’ve been jacking peoples rates to 30% for years and getting away with it. A relative of mine told me some are going to 40%!

Dont worry when people stop using credit cards they will do what ever they can to get people to buy credits cards. but dont do it. i use cash or prepaid cards for shoping on the internet or at the store . credit cards our a rip off all they want to do is put you in debt.Most of tne people our in debt to credit cards. thats because they want what the jones have. stop spending be on your means. stop caring about what the jones have who cares i drive used car that gets me back and forth i dont care what they have, i just think their indebt to the car dealerships and credit cards.if your indept pay them off. dont use credit cards any more and put them out of business

just think about if they went out of business how much better our lives would be with out them. the value of the doller would go up. we wouldent have to worry about credit checks any more to get a job, or to buy, or rent a house or anything. people would go back to references insted. see there not only hurting us finanially but they also have way to much power over us as well. and there criminals.
