Obama to Establish a “Cyber Security” Initiative if Elected

On the heels of Obama’s Civilian National Security Force scheme, we learn about Mr. Change’s desire to establish a cyber security infrastructure if selected as NWO presidential puppet. “Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says the White House is still asleep at the switch, when it comes to network defense,” writes Noah Shachtman for Wired.
“We know that cyber-espionage and common crime is already on the rise. And yet while countries like China have been quick to recognize this change, for the last eight years we have been dragging our feet,” he said in a speech today at Purdue University, focusing on unconventional threats.
China is more concerned with censorship and surveillance than “cyber-espionage and common crime,” as the the Great Firewall of China demonstrates. The Great Firewall, also known as the Golden Shield Project, is a “major part of the project includes the ability to block content by preventing IP addresses from being routed through and consists of standard firewall and proxy servers at the Internet gateways. The system also selectively engages in DNS poisoning when particular sites are requested,” explains Wikipedia. “Old style censorship is being replaced with a massive, ubiquitous architecture of surveillance: the Golden Shield. Ultimately, the aim is to integrate a gigantic online database with an all-encompassing surveillance network – incorporating speech and face recognition, closed-circuit television, smart cards, credit records, and Internet surveillance technologies,” adds Greg Walton of the International Center for Human Rights and Democratic Development.
Is it possible Obama wants to set-up a Great Firewall here under the guise of establishing “the capacity to identify, isolate, and respond to any cyberattack”? After all, the Pentagon has declared the internet needs to be dealt with as if it were an enemy “weapons system.”
“We Must Fight the Net,” declares the 2003 Pentagon document entitled the Information Operation Roadmap. “DoD [Department of Defense] is building an information-centric force. Networks are increasingly the operational center of gravity, and the Department must be prepared to ‘fight the net’” because the Pentagon considers the internet a “weapons system.” (See Pentagon: The internet needs to be dealt with as if it were an enemy “weapons system” by Brent Jessop.)
For our rulers, the “unconventional threat” is not an attack on cyber security and government networks per se, but rather the proliferation of freely disseminated and uncensored information over the internet. Once established, Obama’s Civilian National Security Force scheme will be used to attack the free and open internet in much the same way China is currently attacking freedom of thought.
