Obama: Troop move to Mexican border under consideration

WASHINGTON — President Obama weighed in Wednesday on the escalating drug war on the U.S.-Mexico border, saying that he was looking at possibly deploying National Guard troops to contain the violence but ruled out any immediate military move.

“I don’t have a particular tipping point in mind,” he said. “I think it’s unacceptable if you’ve got drug gangs crossing our borders and killing U.S. citizens.”
Already this year there have been 1,000 people killed in Mexico along the border, following 2008’s death toll of 5,800, according to federal officials who credit Mexican President Felipe Calderon for a crackdown on drug cartels.
But the spillover on the border — for example, to El Paso from neighboring Ciudad Juarez — has created a political reaction.
In a recent visit to El Paso, Texas Gov. Rick Perry called for 1,000 troops to protect the border.
Obama was cautious, however. “We’ve got a very big border with Mexico,” he said. “I’m not interested in militarizing the border.”

Mike, that’s a really bad idea. Much of the border in Arizona abuts private ranches. That idea would result in devastating losses to those ranchers and would further increase the cost of food for us. Along the Texas border there are many ranches also and national and state parks which are wildlife areas. The reality is the border is porous because the powers want it to be, a true fence hasn’t even been put into place yet. We need to at least try that before we talk about mine fields which will kill indiscriminately.

The US government will deploy the National Guard to the Mexican border to secure an orderly and smooth transit of drugs to the American side; therefore, all the drug addicts in the US will have their guarantee supply of illegal narcotics. Moreover, people from south of the border (specifically the so-called undocumented immigrants) will have now a chance to migrate to the north in a safe and effective way -assisted and protected by National Guard troops. In the end, too much drama for nothing since drug cartels in Mexico work in partnership with American governmental agencies to make of this illicit business a real success.

I am all for troops there. I think its needed and should be done, this is serious and should be noted. I also heard that there is like 100’s thou of mex’s drug runners here or aka the mex-mob. I also heard that they have lots of weapons and can come together and cause hovac to us when ever they want to, or get the case of the ass as we say in the Military and let the dogs of war go against us on our own soil..Sooooo we need to be ready, and the militia can help us out in my opion and defending this country from this.!!!! IF we have soo many of the militia use them and put them to work, we are being infiltraded as we speak, and they can stage a march on Washington and do a surprise attack on them and other places really easy..These are well trained and armed thugs and do not like the u.s.a..They hate us, most of them. Only come here to make a buck…I shall have to say, places like cancun and the like is a vacation spot and others. Yes we are treated nice and catered too. But thats a different story. I say we invite them to join us in the fight to save this country cause as of now, we are being invaded!!!! remember: RED DAWN…!!!????OH ITS WORSE THEN THAT. It’s all in place and they just ready to pull the trigger on us at anytime….!!!! The Vulcan’s were phased out of the 18th ABN in 1995. Replaced by the Avenger system. All 16R became 16T or 16S. The only Vulcan’s left are in muesums or sold to Saudi Arabia. It would sure be nice to have some of them back!

The idea of passing out flyers a couple of times, and then, on the announced day, sending hueys in and machine gunning anyone who was caught in the zone has been around for at least ten years. The first time I heard it was from Doctor William Pierce. Everyone thought he was crazy then.
The results of such a policy would be perhaps 250 dead (and extremely surprised) illegals, millions of pulp newspapers sold, huge ratings for Opra et al, and a lot of quiet along the border.
So the solution has been there for a long time.

How bout we pull all of our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan and use the money that we saved by doing so to build a better Fucking wall on our Southern border. And hey, while we’re at it, why dont we use the Engineers from all of our military branches to construct the fucking thing. With the amount of walls we put up in IRAQ, our Southern border could have already been fucking done.
