President Barack Obama will press Congress to release more than $100m (£60m) of aid to help Mexico in its war against the drug cartels.

The issue was one of several bones of contention at yesterday’s summit between the leaders of the US, Canada and Mexico in Guadalajara, now an annual fixture aimed at building on the ties established through Nafta, the North American Free Trade Agreement that came into effect in 1994.
Mexican officials have repeatedly pushed for the money to be released, insisting that reports of abuses by the army have been exaggerated, and at a private meeting here with his opposite number Felipe Calderon, Mr Obama reiterated his support for the Mexican government’s offensive.

Your tax dollars are going to mexico? What the blazing hell is going on? Americans needs jobs, yet they are sending money to mexico?
That is 100 million for Mexico, who in fact some of the politicians are in the drug ring so they will just use it to buy more weapons and fight their own people with it. The CIA funds the operation as well, so that won’t stop anything. Customs agents will be paid off, shipping costs will still be the same since fake fuel tanks are filled with drugs in airplanes coming to America, cars and trucks are still going to cross the border, drug gangs will still fight for their territory. Geez, Obama just wasted another 100 million on top of the already few trillion the American people never saw a dime of.
I think we should just put land mines across the entire border and block anyone from coming in from mexico, the only way into America is by jet, no small aircraft. Problem solved. That cost about 100 million to do that, so why not spend the money more wisely. If the mexican Government really really wanted to kill off the drug lords, they could have done it already. You mean to tell me an entire Military force cannot kill off a few drug lords in their own Country? The don’t because they don’t want to, its money for them and its a business for the Government there.

I just ripped my Rep’s about the Fed. Reserve. I just got a drivel letter from Voinovich on how the Fed was instituted to assure monetary policy and stability and all that other “good” stuff. He did mention that he would look a B. Sanders bill to audit and they do appear before Congress (he forgot to mention the fact they refuse to answer the damned questions) and there is a place we can go to view what they are doing. How can we and not Congress? That is an example of the drivel meant to pacify that I get from my esteemed rep’s in Congress.
To be honest, I usually tell them to save the drivel replies for someone who buy’s it. They just send it anyway.
Our congress spends like drunken sailors that is the whole problem. There is nothing next to immortality on earth like a government program. It is their power base to grant favors and to hold onto all that power. I have never personally observed a group of lawyers, doctors and other well honed professionals fight like hell to hold onto a job that pays less than $200,000 a year. I know they do it because they care so much about us. I think there are major perks to be had up there. They could go into the private sector and make much more money.
I don’t think they will actually audit the Fed. They may be possibly be getting worried enough about the populous to go through with it. R. Paul is right. National Security. They could tell us but they would have to kill us type of thing. Watch all hell break loose if they pull that. Everything is classified under National Security now have you noticed that.
We are bankrupt. LaRouche I don’t know about the guy; but he has been right before. He seems to think when the figures come out in September the panic will set in and the whole system will unravel very quickly. He actually may be right. His publication is stated to be pretty good even by people who are not exactly fans of his.
We shall see. The American Empire is at it’s end. We simply do not have the money to sustain it anymore. It really is just a matter of time.
We really should get out of Putin’s face and maybe he will pull those damned sub’s off our coast. They have tough as hell, brilliant Mr. ex KGB and we have “The One”. I do not feel good at all about the outcome of that confrontation if they keep pushing it. I put my money on Putin. I live in the USA still my money goes on Putin. All the money “given” to Mexico to fight the war on drugs will be used to buy guns and services from companies in the USA. You can see the the Blackwaters and other USA contractors lobying in Mexico. This is the payback for the campaign contributions, like bailouts and other major money scams, bypassing the congress.

I think this is what is known as SPAM but I could be wrong. Perhaps Jesus was the anti-christ and the anti-christ won? Only joking…. too much of 1 thing is, well, too much. A little of what you fancy is usually ok. the essense of the drug war is noble but it’s been corrupted from day 1. It is UNWINNABLE. Better to keep the home nation wealthier so they can afford healthier past-times. Maybe if pot was legal & free people would do less hard drugs and steal for them. Cocaine and heroine are less dangerous than alcohol. Far fewer deaths per MILLION USERS!!! Difficult subject.

I am from Cd Juarez, Mexico, and it is just that the 10,000+ troops our fucking shit president sent here FOR NOTHING!!!! This is a joke government! July was the bloodiest month in Juarez history! More than 20 people killed per day!!! And I understand your anger, cuz most if not all of those $100 million will go to the corrupt ass government, which are puppets for the NWO AND the drug lords. why not legalize pot and tax it? It would free up the prisons for the real criminals, and the taxes would help free up some of the debt. But because the pharmacutical industry can’t make any money off it(because it’s a natural product and can’t be patented) it will never happen. we know the pharmacutical companies dictate to the government. Hasn’t anyone in government figured out that the war on drugs is not winnable? And what ozcarin says is absolutly 100% true.

Why can’t the government use profits from insider CIA drug trafficking and CIA funded child sexual prostitution rings to fund the Mexican war on drugs. Use their dirty money, not our tax money. Ask Senator Byrd, head of MK Ultra mind-control project for these CIA sex slaves, to come up with some cash that they are using to service their own perverted minds and bodies!

Why cant we just take the 30K troops on the S/N Korea border and put them on the Mexico boarder and stop all the traffice from coming into the US? Also, why not pull out of the Middle East and invade Mexico and kill all the drug lords?
