As well as the fund raising success of the money bombs. The poll clearly showed that the small sampling of YOUNG voters interviewed could not correctly name the majority party in congress. However, unless a youngster is politically minded, they might not particularly keep track of which party has the majority of senators and representatives.
In contrast, they were very aware of Sarah Palin. Why? They picked up information stressed by the media, like the cost of her wardrobe. So, if the media presented issues of substance, the voters would undoubtedly be better informed.
Too bad our airways are polluted with entertainment and propaganda passing for news broadcasts.
p.s. Was Barack making a joke when he mentioned campaigning in 57 states or is this part of his plan for “change”?

A lot of smart people voted for Obama too. Yeah he got a lot of the ignorant votes. Isn’t that the game they play anyway? Is this new to you? There are millions of idiots in America and it’s because of systematic dumbing down. If you put a handsome young and tall person who people relate to, then you can guess who’s going to win that pageant.
Most of the voters for Obama were white, but most of the people interviewed here were black. So if it’s a race issue, then this survey shows you more about black voters than the majority of Obama voters.
Anyway my point is that I want to see if Obama is going to be another JFK, which is what we need, someone who’s dangerous to the status quo. I know his history tells you otherwise. But JFK wasn’t targeted in Dallas until after he had some post-inaugural revelations, isn’t that true? He didn’t realize that there were people who had a “death wish for the world” until after he had become president. And why did JFK have a conscience, even despite the entire system working to filter conscience out? Because it was part of his inner being, inextricable from his body.
As Obama takes office, think about Bay of Pigs. Similarities will be drawn. Obama will have to play a position. He too will see a brief glimpse of the unbelievable evil forces. When I look in his eyes, I don’t think he’s seen it yet. Not for himself. Like most of us. (Unlike Alex.)

Uninformed people should not be permitted to vote. People who do not have a grasp of the political and economic situation simply cannot make a prudent decision about who to vote for.
This is one of many reasons that we are in serious trouble today: people have been voting for candidates based on propaganda and personal looks.
Of course “the powers that be” know all about this, and that’s why they have propagandized the population to the effect that everyone should be able to vote. The more uninformed voters that cast votes, the easier it is for the power mongers to get their way.
Uninformed people are the reason that our education system has been dismantled over the last thirty years. This has been done purposely to create more and more drones who because of their lack of knowledge are very easy to propagandize.

Another thing is this. To be elected to a position, a candidate should be required to receive the votes of a majority OF THE REGISTERED VOTERS, rather than just the most votes of any candidate.
Consider a situation where a given area has a million registered voters, but for some reason most decide not to vote in an election. Consider also that there are two candidates trying to get elected to a seat in congress. Shirley Schmoe receives 10 votes, while Joe Doaks receives only 8.
Shirley wins and gets to be congresswoman from the district. Democracy at work, right?
Wrong. The vast majority of voters in this extreme example didn’t like either candidate, so in reality a candidate named “Nobody” really won the election when the opinion of the vast majority of registered voters is considered.
Through propaganda over a period of many many years, we’ve been taught to accept this as absolutely normal, when in reality it is one of the worst aspects of our system.

You can certainly feel effects of the dumbing down of America in that little broadcast. I hear the same thing at work – at the hospital – from a few of the doctors. They are clueless to present day politics in government. But they are not suffering financial hardships like the worker bees under them so maybe they have reason to like things status quo. Some of them own a couple of houses a piece. One backed Obama because he felt it was time to have a black man in office no matter what the platform. Another voted for Obama because he had heard from his children about environmental crisis with carbon emissions and leaned toward the Democratic Party candidates. I just hope they are better at their professional skills than their rationale for voting in candidates to the highest office in the land. Yikes. My guess: Media hypnotics and floride toxicity.

It is NOT just the Obama lovers that are pathetically uninformed, there is an astronomical amount of Americans that get ALL of their information from the Corporate controlled national media circus.
This is the core cause of misinformation and American loss of reality. If Americans would only realize how the REAL system worked, we would NOT be where we are today. It is the DUTY of ALL Americans to learn as much as possible about each candidate and if there is so much as a rumor about this candidate that he has engaged in corruption, he should be immediately investigated and cast aside to allow a more viable candidate to be prospectively elected.
Americans are the least informed people on the entire planet but they continue to live under the guise that we are the MOST informed, I truly feel sorry for the typical American for their IGNORANCE!
Only when it is far too late will the Americans finally realize that they have been HAD. They will wander aimlessly about wondering what happened to their once great nation and will be completely powerless at that point to do ANYTHING!
