Obama’s vision of the American dream, however, will not consist of Americans freely choosing to volunteer to work in their communities and neighborhoods. It will be a requirement. “Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year.” (Emphasis added.)
And it will not simply be the young who will be “called” by government mandate to serve. It will be everybody, including senior citizens. “Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.” The words “call” and “require” appear to be interchangeable in this context.
As the Albuquerque Examiner mentioned yesterday, Obama’s chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, wants compulsory service imposed on eighteen and twenty-five year old Americans. “They’ll be asked to report for three months of basic civil defense training in their state or community,” writes Emanuel in his book, The Plan: Big Ideas for America. “These young people will be available to address their communities’ most pressing needs.”

It now appears Emanuel’s version of mandatory servitude, masquerading as patriotism, will not be limited to the young but will be imposed on all Americans, including retirees.
In July, Obama revealed his plan for “a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the U.S. military. In the speech, Obama said “People of all ages, stations, and skills will be asked to serve.” He also said this mass movement requiring servitude “will be a central cause of my presidency.”

The language of Rangel’s bill states that “all persons in the United States between the ages of 18 and 42″ be required to “perform national service, either as a member of the uniformed services or in civilian service in furtherance of the national defense and homeland security.”
In the months ahead, we can expect “public service,” i.e., compulsory servitude, to be a mantelpiece of the Obama regime. It will be necessary because Obama will undoubtedly soon have no shortage of enemies — that is to say, people opposed to his policies — and a national Stasi framework, under the rubric of a “civilian national security force,” will be required to ferret out enemies of the state. In addition, “carbon criminals” will need to be identified and rounded up and shipped off to re-education and forced labor camps.
Considering the emotional zeal of Obama’s kool aid drinkers — frighteningly on display as Obama swept the election — there will likely to be no shortage of recruits to enthusiastically enforce his decrees, actually decrees passed down by the globalist New World Order.
In a historical sense, this is fascism on steroids.
Addendum
Obama’s crew have reworded the text on the “America Serves” area of the Change-gov website. The word “require” has been removed, probably as a result of criticism, and other passages have been rewritten. Does this mean they no longer believe you should be a slave on an Obama work brigade? Hardly. Joe Biden has said “rich” people making over $250,000 need to work more for the state, not directly but by surrendering an even larger share of their personal income through confiscatory taxes, thus revealing a disturbing mentality: the state owns you. It’s patriotic to be a slave.

Everyone should be educated enough so they can serve 2-4 year terms in our government, no more. Think of it as agile politics. That would eliminate the career politicians. I think people need to relax a bit. There is so much speculation going on right now it’s actually worthy of the title ‘conspiracy theories’. Give it time… if things start going to shit, you can say ‘i told you so’, but honestly…there is some good things here… in a world where harvesting anger and fear has been the norm it’s refreshing to see people with tears of happiness and hope. It’s a good thing to see Americans side with hope vs the fear mongering that the republicans have embraced. This is a chess game… and this move is a pretty interesting move. I am skeptical oo of how much good ‘change’ will come out of this inspiring politician… but for now… I wait… and I keep both eyes open without running down the rabbit hole of speculation like a crazy fearful man who insists on turning all good things into a twisted evil truth.

So, what to do? What will work?
Organization that will bring this system under control requires communication and as soon as that organization seems too effective, it will be attacked by its own Government. Revolutionary causes require the same communication and face the same end. Bringing people into awareness is great but once they are there, what then? You have a group of people who are aware of how badly they’re being screwed and are afraid of taking another step to stop it; or do you have a group of people who will risk their Life, Fortune and Sacred Honor for the hope of again one day, being Free?
Gentlemen, we face strange and dangerous days. The illusions that we’ve lived under for so long are coming to an end and being replaced with a reality that, while having been in existence for quite some time, has never been acknowledged by the population at large. If History is any teacher, that same mass will not acknolwedge it even after it breaks down their door and drags them out of their homes in the dead of night. The purpose of the civilian military brigade is a lawyers approach to getting around the second amendment. They will say, “See.. if you are part of the civilian military brigade, then you will be allowed to own a gun. If you are not, then you cannot.”
If you look at how they are trying to reinterpret the second amendment, you can see that they are trying to say that it says that a govt. sponsored civilian militia is ok to have guns but others are not. It is all brainwashing to get the public to turn in their guns and side with them. After they get the guns, then they move in for the kill. We may very well see the formation of a NANNY state in the works.

Words can’t describe the hard times that Americans will be forced to endure.
As a small business owner and professor at a local university I can honestly say that talks of “going underground” have begun to take on a frightening seriousness. Most people have this “calm before the storm” sense to them that is spreading like wild fire among all who are not convinced that Obama is our “savior”.

They must ask if you wish to do this service. No legislation, no matter how it’s worded, overrides the Constitution. One part of the non-violent Plan of Action is too refuse to obey “unlawful, unconstitutional or tyrannical” orders. Here is your first test. What will you say when they “ask” you to volunteer?
Remember, no policy of any significance coming from this or any administration is not first approved by the NWO. Therefore, there are long-range objectives hidden under the guise of good deeds. People who, without pay, give of their time to a controlling power, surrender their individual and group liberties as well as energies and interests that could be used to fight that controlling power both intellectually and practically.
An ideal form of government as laid out in the Constitution is one in which the people retain their freedoms and only when in need call on the government to aid them such as when disasters strike or sporadic violence erupts or if your home and family are threatened by an unprovoked attack.
In short, a citizen is free to choose the life they will live and to allow his fellow citizens that same choice. Governments guarantee to all that choice but only when called upon to do so by the citizens themselves.

I have always had a liberal mindset, but in no way will I allow my government to force my young children to perform 50 hours of community service unless they are convicted of a crime. While I think it is important for Americans to VOLUNTEER in programs of THEIR CHOICE for the betterment of the country, once the government starts mandating forced labor upon our children, we no longer live in a democracy but instead in a totalitarian society. We elected YOU to serve the people. The people will choose when and where to volunteer. We already give the government over a third of our income. Focus on using that money more efficiently before you try and solve our government’s money problems by making our kids work for free under the guise of “educating” them.

I’m not phased by much, I always endevour empower myself even when faced with grave challenges. Potential food shortages – get storable food, etc. etc., you all know the drill.
However… this scares the living crap out of me! This is the damn Hitler Youth all over again, and all the kool-aid drinking morons will praise this as the wonderful “change” we all need.
Those who don’t know history are doomed to repeat it, and with a dumbed down public, how many americans know any history, or anything else for that matter.
Case in point… My wife graduated from a good school summa cum laude on a full scholarship, and I’d generally consider her fairly smart. Yesterday in response to a comment on the Daily Show, about how Sarah Palin couldn’t name all 3 countries in North America, she said, and I quote: “What’s the 3rd country? Greenland? I thought there were only 2.”

I’m just saying it’s a little early to be assuming things like encouragement to participate in community service is equal to mandatory forced slavery.
Let’s all just lower our rifles for a second, and put our hate in check… for a moment… so we can intelligently observe before we act out. A change in leadership, even if presidents are selected, not elected, a change in leadership is reason for intelligent pause and cautious observation.

Naturally very highly paid government employees with lifetime pensions will run the programs; we know all about the horrible living conditions the veterans have to endure and when they get out they can’t find a living-wage job and then go homeless and are automatically labeled mentally ill and addicted WHICH GUARANTEES THEY WILL NEVER GET A GOOD JOB! Does this mean Jenna & Barbara Bush will be shoveling horse manure at the National Stables? I bet not!

Awakened, read a little bit about mandatory service in Israel. Emanuel, Obama’s right hand man, is most likely inspired by the Israeli model. In Israel, young people serve for 2 or 3 years, not months. During their service, they indulge in all kinds of violence and brutal aggression against whoever gets in their way (usually Palestinians, but sometimes also protestors). These young people can kill a Palestinian and get away with it with only a slap on the writs. Read about the Israeli refusenik movement (young people who refused to serve) and reconsider your comments. Whoever refuses to serve in Israel (read: partake in the brutality) is thrown in jail.
Yes, we are “assuming things”, but faced with such facts we have a right, no, an obligation to assume things.

Its not the governments responsibility to teach values and lesson about patriotism and “love of country”. This is the job for parents. Putting more trust and more faith in the government would be the same as sticking your hand in a blender. Yea, I know, It may sound like a good idea, right? After all, It would teach children valuable lessons, how to deal with emergencies and national disasters? That might be true. But if one thing is for sure. You cannot force anyone through external means to love ones country and be patriotic, this is for the family and parents. Its sad that many people will believe this garbage about how much better this will make us as a nation, more tough, resilient and strong. We are missing the big picture folks. This is not what the constitution allows. It is wrong and undoubtedly will lead to a nationalistic authoritarian state. Just crack open a history book…If we think the government can improve our lives by enacting forced labor- just look at the many government ran establishments…mainly the health care system for veterans of wars – atrocious. We need to stand up against this tyranny and not allow our liberties to erode. This is the path we are on and unless we step away from the tube, learn to think critically and evaluate nonpartisan of our own conditioning, we just might let the few remaining slabs of freedom slip by. All this happens one step at a time – Tip-toe, tip-toe.

I get what you’re saying. But Kennedy wasn’t attempting to make public service mandatory. I believe he has another famous quote at the end of his speech to the national press club “Man will be what he was born to be; Free and independent”
This nation was founded on the principle of Free Will. The gov’t, no matter how well meaning and humanitarian their ideas may be, can not force a citizen of this nation to perform forced labor. And being required to do public service is the same as forced labor. We leave in a Constitutional Republic, it is controlled by Free Will. If you want to service your community or state or nation you can do so. But you can not force others to do so. They must choose so.
For the record, standing by the constitution and not violating it IS doing something for your country. This is what Kennedy meant, he did not mean that I as a young adult male shall be forced by an executive order to pickup garbage on the side of the highway.

For whatever it’s worth, I had a client today who was a recently retired Homeland Security agent
who told me that there are no contingency plans for trying to put American civilians into FEMA
camps. Said that the camps were built for disaster victims, those who lose their homes and
go bankrupt and transitioning in and out illegal aliens. Portrayed their operation as more a cheap
financial shakedown of the people and push for more war and police state for profiteering but
beyond that not very sophisticated and definitely lacking the resources to effectively maintain
a domestic take-over. Said they will use fear tactics but not actually attempt something on this
scale. This person was a security agent for airport facilities. ???

This is obviously a rant but do think about it…
You’re going to love National Service!
Just think what it’ll be like… on Monday you got the letter in the mail that says you have been invited to
participate in a National Service volunteer project – washing and detailing police vehicles at some town’s
friendly local PD on the weekends – only it’s not really an invitation because refusing to show
and work may result in criminal charges and it even says so on the form they sent you
So it’s Monday to Friday and you’re working and you’re upset over it and each day you get home
you’re exhausted beat and tired but you have nothing to look forward to, not even sleeping in later
on that weekend .. because your ’service’ starts at 8.00 am. And btw.. it’s also a 20 mile drive each way
and no you wont get reimbursed not even for gas (which by then will again be at $4/gl).
So Saturday morning comes along and you wake at 6.00 am as you usually do, shower, get dressed
in your work clothes (no reimbursement for work laundry either).. and you’re 8 mins late.
I am waiting for you, I have your name on an attendance list and I haven’t crossed yours off yet, and
everybody knows what an asshole I am on a good day.. only that day I’m also in an extremely foul
mood because I would have had this weekend off too … so you arrive, I lay my eyes on you, you
stutter your name, produce your id and and oh boy am I not going to tear into you! In fact since
I’m really into this sadistic hate mode because I’m being made to show up for this, I’ll single you
out that day for special treatment… gives me something to do and at least makes it a _little_ fun for
me.
So you spend the day with me and I teach you to get every single speck of dirt on my cruiser.
You don’t talk back and you’re courteous and friendly so I’m going to be real ugly to you but that’s
about it.
It’s a full 8 hours of service each day and I have 26 people, men and women all over our PD’s fleet
and tell you what, we’re one of the larger PD’s but we still have only so and so many vehicles so
after 6 hours we’re really done and I’m losing interest in all of this, even the mexican chick I’ve been
having polish the hub caps so I can stare at her ass is starting to bore me… so instead of sending
each of you home, I have to stay another 2 hours and no, I can’t send you home even if I wanted to.
So you spend another two hours just sitting on your ass until I dismiss you while I pass those two hours
threatening the mexican lady that I’ll find a way to get her probation revoked… she’s upset and in tears
but none of you dare to stand up to me (Try me! Under the Obama regime I can _REALLY_ wreck your life)
so you really feel sorry for the lady (she’s cute!) but after a while your mind starts to wander and you
realize
THERE’s going to be a lot of weekends like this from now on. This isn’t going away and it will only get
worse. You will be at the mercy of whoever! And maybe today it’s only having to show up and work
hard.. TOMORROW you will even be asked to roll up your sleeve for a mandatory vaccination
(for work safety reasons of course) … DARE to REFUSE!

you know it she’s back to selling them and then she gets arrested and then she goes to a FUCKING
WORK CAMP where she is fed minimum nutrition under the worst conditions (Heil Hitler,btw).

Hey Steveo, I understand what your getting at, but I think your way out of line. Do you remember what it was like to be in college. I went through college with a job full time, or part-time at 32 hours a week. That took a lot out of me and doing an addition 100 hours of community service would have prevented me from full time schooling.
There are places in this country that already require community service hours from junior high and high school students. I think it’s a great idea to have them work in their communities, however I work at a non-profit and we get those kinds of kids all of the time to help, and often at the last minute so they can finish up their hours. Those kinds of kids would be doing their communities a favor by not having to do those community service hours. Seriously. Some people are not of that ilk to do something they would much rather not do.
We are all different and we need to start respecting that. I came from a family with a high working standard and high morals, so I enjoy working and helping others. Those that are selfish with no morals can only do wrong and are better off in their own selfish world. In a free country this would be respected, even if the individual does no command it with character.
Oh, and going off on the slack-jawed punks of the No Child Left Behind Era makes me think you are older. Maybe in your late 30’s or 40’s… I blame a lot of what is wrong in this country because of your generation, because this country would’ve never gotten this bad if your generation did something to fight against the NWO back then… Of course you didn’t have the internet back then.

The more I see .. the more I respect Martin L. King. His family were parasites off his name. No other black leader has chosen to carry the torch he lit and dedicated his cause to. Jesse Jackson, Charles Wrangle, Al Sharpton have survived off “race baiting” and I can admire MLK for his efforts. he commited at a time when people had integrity, black and white, although with differences.
Look at what we are left with now, black and white.
The civil rights effort did not uplift the black man. It kept him in place and executed a plan to bring the white, and any other race, down to a level where GVT legislation could control them.

This is the most ridiculous article, as well as website, I have ever run across. You have twisted Obama’s words to fit your own slenderizing agenda. The only service Obama has spoken about, and the ones addressed in your article, have to do with the service Obama will require if a student wants college finance aid. Obama is trying to make it easier for students to get a college education and for the financial help he is asking that people serve the country that will help them. It sure does make sense to me, and I would do it in a heart beat to help me pay for my education.
As far as the bill you addressed and his cabinet members one idea in a book, Obama has said nothing about implementing those ideas and I doubt they will ever happen or exist in the way you are describing them. You are throwing together loose bits of information as a scare tactic. Its pitiful.
The only person asking for people to drink koolaid is this site and your news. The millions of people who adore Obama do it because Obama represents Hope and Change, not because he has any cult following. Obama as a man is respected for his charisma and sound common sense leadership skills, that is why people rally underneath his leadership.

I generally like the idea of a mandatory limited service / transition into adult education and work. But, I don’t want the average teen to 25 having any actual responsibility or authority.
And by “average” I mean functionally illiterate and emotionally disturbed. The U.S. no longer has the vocations that can absorb the natural, social, and education system failures. I wish there was a humane and productive activity for our huge underclass of people who basically stop at an 11 year old’s temperament and intellect. Maybe this mandatory service will be used to channel the most anti-social or mentally impaired or disturbed out of the general population more promptly and in a more direct way instead of being on the fringes of society until they get arrested and/or reproduce several unwanted children. Sadly these millions of teens are a liability and danger to both the NWO and the hard-working law-abiding public, and they are going to cost money to support one way or another. This way they may have a chance in front of a supervisor instead of a mandatory segregation from a social worker. As bad as that sounds, it’s positive wishful thinking compared to the most likely outcomes of this mandatory service program.

I can fully govern my own decisions and actions and do not need to be ‘educated’ into being a better person… whatever arbitrary goal may lay ahead. I do not require molding or shaping into a better citizen and my obligations are limited to what I can live with and what I cannot.
People can give more through happiness alone and I doubt you will find it in this policy.
On a more serious note though, the children need protecting from this brain washing that it’s ok to be told what to do, where to go and how to be a decent citizen. Remind them that being human is all that is ‘required’

In 1972 I had the opportunity to travel to Poland with my parents to visit realtives. This is when they were still “behind the Iron Curtain”. we hired someone to drive us around and we made a stop at a restaurant run by the Communist Youth League. We were treated with distrust & scorn. After we left we got about a mile or so out of town when we were intercepted at a police blockade and grilled for over 2 hours. I thought I was going to be imprisoned and never get out of there. The so called “youth” at the restaurant had dimed us out and we were subject to intense scrutiny. Let me tell you it was one of the most frightening things that has ever happened to me in my life.
And while we were visiting relatives (who had 3 generations living in 1 apartment becuses that is what they were allowed,) they began to discuss the atrocities commiteed against them in WW2. It was in August and the windows were open. I will never forget the look of horror on the mother’s face when she realizded that window was open & that their conversation may be heard. She jumped up & slammed the window & then cranked up the radio so the converstion could continue. America…do you want to live like that?????
After that visit I have watched our country gradually head towards a totalitarian life. No one would listen to me years ago and now they say to me…wow you were right.

I’m 21 and I am not for this – just what exactly am I doing and serving? You know while I was in school I never learned about the constitution – I learned more from my parents than the school I was going to. That must say a lot since I graduated in 2005 from high school.
Why don’t we take the millions of dollars being wasted every year to fund job corps which isn’t doing it’s job or it must be going bankrupt because I couldn’t get in even if my dad took me to sign up.

Not to mention this was just an IDEA, a well conceived idea to say the least. Serving two years for your country doesn’t sound so bad if you can get an education out of it. You know the cost of college today is simply ridiculous and it took me a lot longer then two years to finish paying it off.
Simply put Nimmo you are not looking at the big picture, and in NOT presenting the full story you discredit yourself and this site, you simply LEFT OUT the meat of the story to project your conservative OPINION to your audience.
Until Nimmo learns to present his information in a more honest way he will never be taken seriously amongst journalists (which is probably why you don’t see him doing any ground work). As a matter of fact most if not all of his articles have multiple sources which most would consider less then credible if it was presented on it’s own, which is probably why Nimmo feels the need to throw his two cents in.
My guess is Obama will scare a lot of people till he proves them otherwise, but my guess is until he is in office NIMMO is gonna be spinning the web of fear. He has been doing this for awhile now and yes some times there are things to fear and be annoyed about, but I doubt this happens to be one of them.

The freedom movement is just that, a movment to re gain the original meaning of our founding fathers as documented by our Constitution. ANY tweaking from this document for the benifit of freebies from our government come with hooks. Nothing is free. Most of the freedom movment people simply disagree with liberal view that collectivisim ie the greater good argument is how we want to live. Certainly a central government is nessesary eveil, a place were a housekeeping is done, but we dont need a nanny state and dont want one. Alot of people seem to need it in there lives and will gladly trade independence and freedom for a government check. It is harder to live free but we are willing to do just that.

Im the first to knock conspiracy theories like freemasonry, esoteric symbols on tv or leylines in washington. Whether they are real or not, they are a distraction from real issues on social change. However there are some things which are beyond dispute, and even though some like to dress them up in conspiritorial language, they are still nevertheless true.
the illuminati/NWO – there is no dispute that corporate interests, private wealth and governments collude to take resources for their own profit.
America moving towards fascism – by any definition or historical experience all the signs are there. This shouldnt be a surprise a surprise as fascism is always linked to corporate profit and the accumulation of public wealth.
The government is against the people – again look at history. Politicians always sell public wealth to private interests. Its called privitisation, but as the assets being sold become more integral to the peoples health or safety, then governments eventually crack down at the behest of their corporate paymasters.
These things explain so many of the problems our society faces, from deforestation, global warming, rising fuel and food costs and 3rd world dictators, to the many problems we have at home such as poor healthcare, deprived inner cities, lack of social cohesion and poor pay and working conditions.
Wealth consolidates and always wants more, and the less there is to go round the more conflict occurs. Thats why americans should never fall for the false glory or patrioism of foreign wars. Those interests seeking to overthrow saddam or chavez do not do so in the name of freedom but the name of profit. Its not about east and west, black and white or left and right. Its about rich and poor, always has been always will be.

First off, I’m all for up holding the constitution.
But to say you want a government to run solely on that piece of legislation is ridiculous and leaves A LOT open to interpretation. Not to mention as we progress technologically we need to advance politically as well.
I’m pretty sure they didn’t have to worry about recycling and plastic and harmful waste to dispose of, not to mention the gas omitted by big industry. I doubt cities had to worry about structural balances and maintenance fees.
Seriously, you can’t possibly think the constitution is enough for the government to use to uphold modern day problems. What do you think the constitution would say about taxing people to create renewable clean energy. What if a tax could cut your electric bill in half?
What if an annual tax could cover ALL your medical expenses?
What if a tax was used to secure all our assets in time of crisis?
What would you be willing to pay for, so that Americans from coast to coast rich or poor have EQUAL rights in regards to health, education and freedom?
These are the issues today and though the constitution is a necessary piece of legislation there is nothing wrong with making it better and more suitable to the environment of today. You ask any person working industry today that was around thirty/forty years ago whether there environment has changed during the time and the answer is always YES. Modernizing legislation is how we progress and you can’t cling to the past especially when in the past it has failed, it’s time for NEW ideas and not the same recycled garbage, which is pretty much what libertarians do. They cling to the past as if it wasn’t flawed yet when researching the subject you learn just the opposite.
Hope you reconsider because it’s a changing world we live in, and the longer your stuck in the past the longer it will take for you to adapt to the future.

The constitution does allow amendments. Altho, sadly, the corporate owned media will sell the NWO ideas falsely, and people will fall for it. Tax for retirement (the government raided it and its all gone, and is about to take the IRA’s from people). Tax for healthcare (a free market healthcare system is all that is needed, not taxes)… My point is, history has proven, you cant trust the government with your money. You know I am right on this. You’ve pointed out the problem with my plan, allow me to point out the problem in yours;
The free market system for health care has NEVER WORKED. People are not getting the proper medical attention that they deserve in this country for FINANCIAL reasons (some people can’t afford the premium packaged insurance, does that mean they should receive less care?).
Not to mention the irony of you not trusting the government yet trusting your local insurance handler to provide you with the proper health plan for your needs.
That’s not a free market. Not to mention the fact that HEALTH like EDUCATION is not a market at all nor should it ever be. Hospitals and schools should be run by the government so that we have a SOLE agent to work with rather then dealing with multiple fractions of business.
Who would you trust more people that were elected by the people or CEO of a multi billion dollar corporation who cares more about his stock holders then he does his policy holders. I know with Bush it would be hard to imagine socialized anything nor would I have suggested it, but I think Obama could set it up, and I like the positions he has taken throughout his campaign, now let’s see how he plans to implement these changes. When that time comes then we can have a discussion of whether I trust our current system over the modernized Obama system.
Like communism a lot looks better on paper then in reality however our CURRENT system is broken and doesn’t tend to the needs of the majority. The rich has carte blanche over our current system but the poor to middle class tend to have very little coverage. We cannot continue putting a dollar amount to preserve ones health.
Sure if the rich want to continue with the current plan that shouldn’t be debated the question on the table should address the needs of the rest of the people who have NO options under the current plan.
Not to mention that the free market system has proven to be completely manipulated by the richer bigger companies and it’s very rare for NEW and more productive companies to gain ground in a saturated market.
I find the free market argument to be very naive actually. It’s run on the basis that all companies have equal opportunity when in fact nothing can be further from the truth. Hey don’t take my word for it, take a look for yourself. As a matter of fact within your very own opinion I sense you doubt the balance of the free market system.
But yet you still failed to answer the question that I asked and that is what is worth paying taxes for?
I left plenty of examples on my previous blog but feel free to come up with your own.

You know, I am an objector to the state telling what to do as much as the next guy, but, what if there, pragmatically, is a point where the country is so fucked, that compulsory community service, is the only way our infrastructure is going to get fixed. I am just asking for debates sake, I am not some Obama staffer, but some guy who knows his country is a mess, and isn’t it more patriotic to understand the need for Americans to be required to help, and not just sit on our ass and post shit on Alex Jones website, so he can claim more hits to sell to his advertisers.

I like how you broke that down very smart. However civil work doesn’t necessarily mean military involvement.
I’m sure there’s community work that can be done for those who don’t want to serve in the military and still qualify for the education plan. Let’s face it that’s the basis for this discussion in the first place. Otherwise why would anybody volunteer for civil work in the first place unless it’s to better themselves or there environment.
But I still like the way you broke that down. You were very close to making a nay sayer out of me but unfortunately I have actual heard Obama speak of this plan, it’s a way for people who can’t afford to go to college to go by giving a couple of years to his country, town, city, or whatever civil work is required. It’s sounds like a good idea but like all plans it has it’s flaws, let’s just hope the flaws don’t turn us into a communist society. But I have serious doubts to the validity of this article and question it’s motives.

There should be a pause here. The alarm that has been sounded in reference of the new administration somehow being worse than the previous administration–not something that I believe, especially since the new administration has not been administered yet–even if it may be true, and is attributed to the secret societies or families of the world, means that at the end of the day, there is nothing that you can do…period. Their power is immense and omnipotent. You have been and always will be a slave.
Is this understood?
Ranting and raving about doing something against them is simple ventilation. Anything that remains in power for this long has obviously developed a sophisticated system of defense against being over-ridden.
At that point of realization, we (those not lucky enough to have been born into this power) are left at a mercy of the power. The only thing that can be hoped for is that we are treated in a way so as not to restrict our liberty.
In comparison to the Bush Administration–somehow commented as “better” for our society because of Obama’s desire to ask/encourage/force Americans to improve their communities through service–this new master seems to be more in-line with my personal goals and seems more than willing to assist me in that.
The paranoia that has come about is remarkable given the sudden loss of memory in regards to the covert demand of military service enacted by Bush; all economic power being transferred over to the military-industrial complex…practically forcing the least of our society to decide between going into the military, or suffering in their society and, eventually, going to jail or the morgue.
I will not waste text condescending on the awareness of others on this board whom have posted warnings of Armageddon or Hitler, but I will encourage all readers to inform themselves more, and to be more prideful in their country–willing to serve her with brotherhood and sisterhood. Truly, the idea of being “patriotic” lends itself to this practice.

Charlie Rangle has authored a bill that may be dusted off after Obama enters the Oval Office. It’s called the National Service Act and calls for a universal draft with two years of “service” for virtually all persons aged 18-42, with no deferment for college.
Which means not only the poor with be figthing for our freedom at times of war when a Draft is needed, but calls for the rich to spill their blood as well. You guys are becoming very desperate!

Either way in a civilized population there is no room for guns, but unfortunately the civilized are not quite there yet. We still live in a place where BAD PEOPLE CAN DO BAD THINGS, and in some instances a gun can be the difference between life and death, but do you honestly think that if everyone were to walk around with a gun that we would be a safer place?

If they want reparations, then they can pay back the welfare they have been paid since it’s inception in the 1930’s. That would be fare, after-all, they want me to pay reparations and I never owned a slave. In-fact, I am a slave to those on welfare.
Here are some facts for you; Blacks comprise about twelve percent of the population, but make up thirty-seven percent of the welfare rolls. There is nothing wrong with serving your community as long as it isn’t forced. Forcing you to do community service is communism. Imagine if we are forced to serve our communities and refuse, there will big fines, possibly jailtime for second offenders and so on. Not to mention the money the states would make off it in fines. It would also be another excuse for cps to take your children if they refused community service.

Terry , there is a HUGE differnce between choosing freely to volunteer on your own and being forced to do so. Its commendable to help other but only so much as you choose to do on your own.

One concern of mine is: what if you can’t serve? What if you’re too blind or too disabled? Granted there arn’t that many. But I can tell you: as a half blind little person there’s a lot of jobs typical people can do that I just can’t or would have a very difficult time doing.

Since he is going to create his national police force and force college students to serve as well, people are now talking the scariest thoughts. I just read one article that shows a real example of how Obama can easily, with the help of the Democrats ruling now in Congress, take over. Google the title Whispers and Shouts of Revolution’ and open your eyes. This is getting scary. Look out for the executive orders Obama is promising in January as he takes office.

Is that needed in our country? Well, let’s see. Where is all the crime? Where is all the difficulty with drugs, alcohol and violence? Are we going to actually get control of all that with this new “civilian national security force”? Will it be comprised of the folks who are there for a solution or the ones who are causing the problem?
I don’t think he’s thought this through at any level just yet, but it seems to me that whenever you give human beings some form of “power” over other human beings, the worst possible features of human behavior appears to evolve. Who will decide that someone is a “problem”? What authority will they have and what actions will they be allowed to take? Don’t we already have a competent police force (with the option to use deadly force) to take care of us? Why do we need a civilian “army”? Am I missing something here?
I don’t think the “President-elect” will be very popular with a large percentage of his “constituency that elected him” if he is going to “interupt their ’status quo’ and have a civilian security force to impede their rights to distribute and use drugs…after all “Brutus IS an honorable man!”

I will not recognize him as such and would go to prison if necessary for not doing so. I will take my children to our ancestor’s country before I would allow them to serve this monster. Although I normally don’t take part in most of these discussions, I do, however read and listen to them. I guess I am, by most definitions, considered a seinor citizen and thought by the up-comming leadership of our heavenly blessed country pretty much usless. However, having spent over twenty years defending my country, and being 100% dissabled, I still know how and am more than willing and able to pick up the arms required to defend her again today.
I have one question for the incumbent leadership of our country. If and when they should implement the forced civilian military, have they stopped to consider there are enough retired military leaders and enlisted retires that are willing to follow those leaders/commanders and that their plan just might blow up in their face. This is refered to a “Revolution”. When a person, or country is pushed into a corner they have no place to go other than out, a can of worms is opened.

Many Americans are very happy and emotional about the Obama victory. People are happy about Obama’s pledge to roll back the Bush tax cuts, feeling that the effective tax increases will restore prosperity. Although Obama promised not to raise taxes on 95% of Americans, the very idea of rolling back tax cuts means tax increases. These tax increases on the “wealthy” are good for the country, for they will give the government revenue, so that the government can improve the infrastructure, medical care, and our economy.
Logical analysis, using numbers and historical data, show the very opposite of these utopian claims. Obama has never addressed the specific points, giving reasons why they are not valid. The campaign is over, and we must stop with emotional slogans. We must look at the arguments and demand clear rational thinking. We must be willing to “flip-flop” if the analysis leads to a reverse position. We cannot run the country based on emotion or decisions based upon power and influence ignoring reason.
Since Obama wants to raise taxes, it is instructive to see what the Hebrew Bible says about taxes. The story about the Egyptian enslaving the Israelites begins with (Ex. 1:11), “And they placed upon them tax collectors.” The slavery began with taxes! Jews are commanded never to forget the lessons of the slavery in Egypt and the redemption from this slavery, and celebrate the Passover festival. We all must never forget how this slavery began with taxes!
The Talmud relates that on the Seder night when discussing the exodus from Egypt, Jews are supposed to eat bitter herbs to recall the bitter slavery. The proper herb is romaine lettuce, for it is initially sweet, but later bitter. The slavery was initially sweet. The government gave sweet deals to the Israelites, but they could not pay back the mortgages. The phrase “Egyptian slavery” is literally translated as mortgage indebtedness to Egypt. This is exactly what is currently happening here in America! The government gave sweet deals to Americans by forcing banks to give loans to poor people unable to return them, with the resulting consequence that many are now slaves to the government, with no where to live! Let us hope we can resolve this without ten plagues hitting us!
Now the government is bailing out the unfortunate. Again, let us look at the Hebrew Bible, at the story of Joseph. There were seven good years, when the government stored grain. Then came seven bad years, a severe depression. The Joseph government bailed out the public, and gave them food and seed. Then the Bible continues saying that the government moved people around the country! This is what is happening here today – people lose their homes and move around the country! We should read this story carefully, for it is very relevant!
We hear talk that we should restore the high Clinton taxes, for times were good then, and we are now in trouble because of the Bush tax cuts. The Bible says exactly the opposite, that high taxes are not good for the country. Ancient Israel was at its peak during the reign of King Solomon. He was considered the wisest man in the world. He built the first temple in Jerusalem. When he died, the public approached his son, the new king, and asked that the taxes be reduced. This whole store is in simple, clear Hebrew. It is beautiful to read.
Here is the story. The king said he would reply in three days. He conferred with his advisors. The first group, “wise intelligent” advisors, Solomon’s advisors, advised the king to reduce taxes. This would please the public, and they would do anything he wished. The king then turned to another group, “childish” advisors, people with whom he grew up. They advised keeping the Solomon high taxes (as Obama advises to keep the high Clinton taxes). The king heeded the childish advisors. This angered the public. (Once Obama reinstates the high Clinton taxes, the public will become angry, regardless what they say now.) The result was the breakup of the country into a small country of two states with high taxes, and a large country with 10 states. The large country, with lower taxes, became prosperous, with the high tax country becoming poor, even though they had the Temple in Jerusalem.
One lesson is that going back to an earlier high tax government will anger the people, enough to revolt. Let us not forget that America revolted against Great Britain because of the taxes. Solomon was extremely popular, but when the next king wanted to continue the high taxes, it did not work. Clinton was popular, but if Obama continues high taxes, it will not work.
Another lesson is that the way to national prosperity is by lowering taxes.
For the continued success of our country, success that we always pray for, we must try to reduce taxes as low as we possibly can. We must avoid crossing the threshold whereby raising taxes reduces government revenue. We are very close to this threshold.
The Bible teaches us that people revolt in anger at high taxes. Obama must not count on his popularity to save him from public anger if he raises taxes.

But I still remember the lessons taught to me. I still hit the range on a regular basis. Still handload my own ammo. Still know how to build a ghillie suit…
Obongo better step lightly with all his talk of “public service”. This isn’t Germany in the 1930’s, nor is it Russia in 1917. We are Americans. Our lives are our own. The State serves US, not the other way around.
WE hold the power in this Republic, not Obongo, not Congress, not the Senate, not SCOTUS.
You know why?
Because political power grows from the barrel of a rifle. No other reason.
WE outnumber THEM by 1000’s to 1.
If Obongo decides to fully implement full-blown Socialism, a la Chavez in Venezuela, he will have a 3rd Revolution on his hands… and God help him if that happens. I don’t expect any mercy from his side, and I don’t expect to give any, either.

Resistance is what people like this count on. It shows how unwilling people are to actually help out under a peaceful plan. Its “only”50 hours they say. Never sounds like much to begin with though. It is how they make people who still believe in “rights” show themselves. So either your a willing partner in trying to rebuild the country, or you are a trouble maker that easily stands out. The only way to fight the oppressor, no matter where or what it is, is from the inside out. Show up for their slave labor….then disrupt it. They cant tell who is and is not a threat until it shows itself. So if you are gonna do something, wait until it happens. No need in being played like this. Patience is something we should learn to use as a weapon. Don’t be like the police who were held at bay while chaos went on around them, then unleashed in rage and hurt everybody and everyone around them. Use some discretion and keep the temper in check against threats that may, or may not exist.
Truth is hard to know when all you ever hear is lies. While all of us are looking at this “Slave labor” thing and concentrated on that chances are this is rarely the true issue. And its something different we never saw coming. So hold fast to your rights and endure anything that comes this way.
If something bad should happen to show up, then we fight it. For now, let us wait and see what happens.

I love this website. I’m so glad that some people are taking these issues very seriously. This is very serious. We are headed for a one world government. One we’ve never seen before. He can “ask” me to serve but I won’t. I do things on my OWN TIME, and do what I want to do, and serve however I want to serve. I do not answer to my president, he is not my king or ruler. He stands in service to us, the people!
And why do you think he wanted to ask younger generations for this mandatory civil defense service? Because they’re brainwashed. Older generations remember WW2 and/or have escaped tyranny in their own countries to come here to this “free” nation. Older generations are dying out, along with basic survival and living skills and common sense and wisdom that comes with experience through real hardship and adversity. Most kids 18-25 (I’m 24 myself) grew up with everything handed to them on a platter, or electronically. All of their limited knowledge has been fed to them through biased media sources and all of their food, shelter, and comforts come ready-made and wrapped in shiny plastic. These Godless, aimless individuals are perfect candidates to follow and “serve” someone bigger and greater than themselves.
Honestly the thought of a bunch of kids running around “available to address their communities’ most pressing needs” fills my heart with DREAD.
