OK Cop Who Assaulted Paramedic Gets Unpaid Suspension

The Associated Press is reporting that Daniel Martin, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper caught on video throttling paramedic Maurice White Jr., was put on unpaid suspension for five days. Martin must also undergo an anger assessment.
Maurice White’s attorney said the paramedic was disappointed by the suspension.
A video released by the Oklahoma Department of Public Safety clearly shows Martin assaulting White on the side of the road in Okfuskee County, Oklahoma. A cell phone video of the assault posted on YouTube received well over a million views and was the second most-watched video on May 30. A Fox station in Tulsa filed a Freedom of Information request for the dash cam but the OHP stonewalled the request. Late on June 12, the department finally released the video. It was posted on YouTube on June 13.
Police initially said the EMT vehicle failed to yield and this was the reason Martin confronted White, assaulted him and threatened to arrest him. But the police video reveals that the EMT was unable to immediately yield due to a car pulling over in the breakdown lane on the side of the road.
On June 12, White said he doesn’t want to see anyone else in the position he was in. “Whatever we have to make sure that that never occurs again and that some definitive light is shed on the problems with the OHP, we will go forward and do it whatever that takes,” he told NewsOn6 in Oklahoma.

I think the best way to deal with these issues of bad uncontrolled police harrasment and assualt is to let that offender know that they also have to live in society and that they risk themselves to a personal backlash outside of the cover of uniform.
They are stupid , and on drugs, and lost in ego,and forget who they truely are and thats one of the pack, so a calm reminder that comes whenever its needed in bulk, will quickly calm them down .

But no no No… this kind of behavior is glorified enough that he will eventually come off of suspension to repeat the same bad behaviors. This wasn’t the first time this officer was involved in something of this sort was it? fact or fiction? Call me crazy here, but when someone’s life is potentially on the line, it is not the swiftest, nor brightest idea to impede upon that. Also, if the ambulance had lights flashing then they are allowed to do what they must to get to their destination as speedily as possible. WTF is the disconnect here?

This entire police force is dirty!!! The other officers on the scene participated in the abuse!! The police chief only pulled his mad dog killers off of the EMT because they were being recorded and there were witnesses. Who knows what these officers would do if the EMT’s were alone.

Welcome To America. Cops have been out of control for a lot longer than what is reported. I know we need cops to keep the peace but what do you do when the peace keepers become the criminals? I hate to sound anticop but I am at this point. They just slap them on the rist and say nono you done bad now dont do it again. But if it were you and I it would amount to a felony and a criminal record for life like I have now. They will NEVER let it off of me here in the state of Florida so I can not own a gun the state says? Well I say f--- the state and what they say because I dont give a damn what the state says about me providing protection for my family. I will protect the family till the last breath I ever take and that includes me against my government.
Label everyone a felon and I guess thats what we will all be. This paramedic DID NOT DESERVE THIS FOR DOING HIS JOB. The president sure wont commment about this episode but he will about the black guy in cambridge who was arressted for entering his own home but not say a word about the paramedic being assaulted by troopers while trying to do his job? WTF? The word is totally and completely gone nuts. I absolutely hate living in america under these conditions. In the early days of our Republic, the good citizens had a very effective way of dealing with corruption. It was called “Swift Justice” and had a way of keeping things honest. Everyone realized that NO ONE was above the law! For example, if a constable or sworn deputy (even judges) went throwing his weight around, they would likely come home to a pile of burning embers or find a note tacked to their door if they were lucky. The smart ones took the hint and adjusted their attitudes accordingly. Today, people are too brainwashed and chicken-s--- to stand up for their God given rights! Today, most people would rather pay higher taxes to put more cops on the street to deal with increasing violent crime instead of purchasing a .357 and growing a backbone!

Paramedic should be punished for leaving his patient alone in the back of the ambulance; totally not acceptable to do so. This incident did not have to include him. If ALL parties had shown proper professionalism this situation should have never escalated to such a rediculous level.
1. The EMT driver should have kept both hands on the wheel, particularly if there was a vehicle he was trying to navigate around as he stated.
2. Once pulled over the EMT should have accepted his ticket and gone about his business. Never fight a ticket on the side of the road, fight it in court.
3. The Paramedic belongs in the back, with the patient. Never ever leave a patient alone. Ever. It’s called patient abandonment, he should lose his license, not be defended as some kind of hero.

With all the chemical and electromagnetic pollution and all the fear based memetics out there it’s natural that things are out of control. Sure, there are a few bad eggs out there, and yes, they are organised. But for the most part what we have is people who are losing their grip on reality due to the pressures this unhealthy environment puts on them. As an EMT myself, the paramedic is the one who sits in back with the patient and the one who is in charge of the ambulance. We are told not to use lights and sirens if we don’t have to. The main reason being it is stressful for the patient. And if you look on the patrols video, the ambulance slows down as soon as he realizes the patrol is trying to get past him. Looks like a power trip to me.

A friend of mine was driveing threw looking for something that was for sale, turned around in a drive way, next thing he knew he was getting pulled over for burgelry, and, tresspassing,went to jail, hired a lawyer in the town for 2000.00, bail was 200.00, went to coart, turned out there was no burglery, dropped the buglery charges, charged him with tresspassing, fined him 500.00.
Some bad cop from califirnia, named Florez, trumped the whole thing up. They have 5 police departments in that town.
They are REEMING those poor, malnurished, fluoridated, native American, people over there, so, BE AWARE and BEWARE !

EVEN IF the driver of the ambulance, Paul Franks, did fail to yield, then Martin should have cited him at the hospital as soon as it was established there was a patient in the ambulance. Whatever happened, Martin NEVER had the right to act the way he did. There is absolutely nothing that could justify Martin’s behavior.

1 week in the stocks for 1 hour a day for the assault, 1 month suspended pay for endangering the life of a patient! Stocks were an 200+ year old British ‘justice’ system where your head and and each hand/arm is secured into a yoke type arrangement. Depending on your crime you would have rotten fruit, off offal, up to stones and rocks thrown at you! If you had friends they may defend you or you could pay for a guard too!!??!!

He also probably won’t ever get fired because now that this has come to light, and his actions were recorded, and he is required to submit to anger assessment, he will probably claim it as a “disability” and claim protection under the Americans With Disabilities Act…. You pretty much got to handle your on case if you want to win; however, there is this one former cop whose now a lawyer that you can trust here in town, but he cost a hella of lot of money.
