Operation Vigilant Eagle: Another Attack on the Sovereignty Movement

Last week the Wall Street Journal reported on an operation launched earlier this year to target veterans who are members of “militia/sovereign-citizen extremist groups.” Operation Vigilant Eagle was launched in February, “two months before a memo giving a similar warning was issued on April 7 by the Department of Homeland Security.” It is described as a collaboration between the FBI and the Pentagon.

As Infowars points out, the DHS document in question was originally created in 2007 under the Bush administration and dusted off and revised under the Obama administration. Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has defended the document and offered a weak apology to veterans who are targeted as extremists.
Documents outlining Operation Vigilant Eagle cite a surge in activity by white supremacists and “militia/sovereign-citizen extremist groups.” According to the Wall Street Journal, a February 23 draft memo from FBI “domestic counterterrorism leaders” cited an “increase in recruitment, threatening communications and weapons procurement by white supremacy extremist and militia/sovereign-citizen extremist groups.”
The aim of the FBI’s effort with the Defense Department, which was rolled into the Vigilant Eagle program, is to “share information regarding Iraqi and Afghanistan war veterans whose involvement in white supremacy and/or militia sovereign citizen extremist groups poses a domestic terrorism threat,” according to the Feb. 23 FBI memo.
In July, 2007, financial reports indicated members of the military overwhelmingly supported Ron Paul. In January, 2008, the Paul campaign released a television advertisement highlighting the fact Paul “received more support from active and retired military than any other candidate.”

“On February 11th, Oklahoma became the first state to act on legislation [to take back state’s rights under the 10th Amendment to the Constitution],” notes Kirk Shelly of Campaign for Liberty. “This action was directly brought about by a Ron Paul supporter, and it is Campaign for Liberty members that will see this battle all the way through to endorse Ron Paul’s candidacy for President because of Dr. Paul’s strong support for the US Constitution.”
Earlier efforts to pass state’s rights resolutions were sabotaged by the federal government after Timothy McVeigh was framed for bombing the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City (evidence later emerged indicating McVeigh was handled by the FBI). By late 1994, at least eight states had passed sovereignty resolution and legislators in more than 20 states planned to introduce resolutions in their 1995 sessions. The federal government and its lapdog corporate media linked these resolutions to the Militia movement blamed for killing 168 people in Oklahoma City.
It should be noted that in the wake of the OKC bombings, the Clinton administration (now reborn in the Obama administration) introduced the Omnibus Counter-Terrorism Bill as S.390 in the United States Senate (by now vice president Joe Biden) and as H.R.896 in the House of Representatives.

As documented by Michele Marie Moore in the book Oklahoma City: Day One, the legislation provided a general charter for the FBI and other agencies, including the military, to investigate political groups and causes at will. In addition, the legislation authorized secret trials, the use of illegally obtained evidence, allowed the military to engage in law enforcement activities (in violation of Posse Comitatus), relaxed rules for wiretaps, and allowed the president to determine who is a terrorist. “The bill was specifically designed to give the President of the United States the ability to name whomever he wished as a political enemy for the purpose of that person’s removal, and the appropriate media label would be ‘terrorist’. One could also foresee, as a result of this bill, great strides in the effort to completely disarm the American people,” writes Moore (see excerpts from Moore’s book here).
The DHS report and the FBI-Pentagon collaborative effort are designed to portray states’ right advocates and Libertarians in general as dangerous white supremacists and “militia/sovereign-citizen” extremists. The DHS report and news of “Operation Vigilant Eagle” were released prior to and after the Tea Party demonstrations around the country in order to discredit the movement the same way the earlier states’ rights movement was demonized and discredited.
Release of the DHS report was followed by a barrage of particularly vicious media coverage of the Tea Party demonstrations. Advocates of states’ rights and less government spending were mercilessly portrayed as everything from kooky conspiracy theorists to dangerous terrorists. Fox News and the establishment Republicans supported the movement in order to intensify critical media coverage by “liberal” elements, although many Republicans are sincere in their support of the movement.
Commentators had a field day with Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s supposed support of Tea Party principles and his assertion that if push came to shove Texas would secede. Perry is a Bilderberg darling and hardly an advocate of states’ rights.
However, as the liberal David S. Bernstein admits, today’s states’ rights movement is more popular and powerful than the government and media sabotaged version of a decade ago, “thanks in large part to the conservative-libertarian network that was formed and energized around Ron Paul’s presidential candidacy, and the large online communities of liberal-hating conservatives.”
According to the Boston Phoenix writer Bernstein, the Tenth Amendment movement is a John Birch Society plot foisted on government-loving liberals by the likes of Jerome R. Corsi and the “eponymous” radio host Alex Jones, a “full-throated conspiracy hawker.”
Short of another false flag attack like the one perpetuated by the government in Oklahoma City, the liberal media attempt to discredit the growing and wildly popular states’ rights movement (and the larger movement to reestablish a constitutionally limited republic) will fail miserably. Millions of Americans now realize the Obama administration is a front for the bankers and the “bailouts” and “stimulus” are contrivances designed to impoverish and enslave the nation.
We need to be vigilant to this very fact — when the government faces growing opposition it invariably resorts to manufactured terrorist attacks at home and abroad. Our rulers are dedicated to destroying the Constitution and ushering in world government at all cost. As the attacks of September 11, 2001, demonstrated they will not think twice about killing thousands of people in order to realize their plan to convert the world into a nightmarish global slave plantation with a high-tech control grid overlay.

I love what the education system has done to children. In the 1850’s, slavery as a practice was going out of favor. Plantations in the southern states had learned that freed slaves that were given a wage or a percentage of the yield, worked harder because they had a stake in the outcome. By 1860 3% of landowners still had slaves working on their land. We are talking less than 100,000 slaves.
Who owned slaves? Whites, Blacks, and Native Tribes. Who were slaves? Germans, Irish, Africans who were captured by other Africans, and Native Tribes. No southern ship ever sailed to collect slaves. The Spanish bought their slaves from Africans who captured rival tribes. All slave ships went to New York, and from there sent by rail to the other states.
Why don’t you research history a little further.

The “Civil War” was NOT about slavery! It was about the tenth amendment! States Rights of self determination!
MOST slaves were enslaved by their own people, not the “evil white man” as has been espoused endlessly to distort the truth and advance the agenda!
Also, Ron Paul is not the anointed one. He is an ally in the fight! He has massive public exposure and is able to bring attention to issues that otherwise would never be heard! He is one man against an army and whatever he believes, he has to be careful about the stance he takes on issues to avoid labeling. It’s called strategy. They try every way they can to marginalize him and he MUST avoid some prickly subjects to prevent that from happening!

Not quite accurate, there where no trains when slavery began and the slave ships arrived at ports such as Charleston and any major southern port. In 1808 slave imports were banned in the US. Any further importation was against the law although rogue ships would appear but slavery was definately on the way out by the War Between the States. Slaves sales were a local or regional issue, and after 1808, were of slaves born in the US and not likely to be transported by train, especially in the South.
Your next point of research should be who owned many of the slavers before the 1808 ban. I don’t think that you’ll be surprised! History has been rewritten by those that have the most to lose!

Ever notice how dark Brazilians are? A Brazilian women started writing a book on the subject a few years ago. Not sure if it is published yet. So many slaves went to Brazil that the “market” became flooded with an unwanted commodity. The majority died of starvation in camps and were buried in giant earth-covered mounds that still exist today.
The vast MAJORITY of slaves actually went to BRAZIL. Sugar Cane was the major crop used for Rum – a HUGE commodity on the international trade market. Also loved by Pirates, arrgggghh
The Portuguese and Dutch leased slave ships (jewish owners – well documented) and purchased slaves ( a commodity at the time) for trade. They purchased them from rival tribe leaders who captured their enemies for trade and profit. Sorry, “Roots” never happened.
And yes, “white” people (Irish, Slavic, etc.) have also been victims of slavery since the dawn of mankind. In fact, the only country left on the planet that still allows slavery is Israel. The sex-slave trade is alive and well there. Look up the book by a Russian girl titled “Natasha’s” (nickname for Slavic sex slaves in Israel).
True history is out there if you are wise enough to weed out the nonsense and political correctness. Research, verify, document, verify, organize thoughts, verify, and draw conclusions based on real documented facts – no theories, no speculation, no rumors.

The guy that wrote “Maryland, My Maryland” was from Georgetown University. Grew up in Baltimore, Maryland (Catholic HQ of USA). The Pope wrote Jefferson Davis letters of support. Chinquey, a former catholic priest told Lincoln this was like aiming several daggers at Lincoln’s heart. If you notice, most of the disserters from the North Army were Catholic.
I tend to believe Protestant America was under the attack from the Catholics. Lincoln even appeared at ceremonies to celebrate the building of a catholic cathedral, so it isn’t like he and other protestants weren’t willing to live in peace. But the Vatican has had it’s sights set on obtaining power and control over america.
One of the first things when the South seceded was they tried to establish a central bank. Banksters are another enemy of America.
Because 8 of the co-conspirators were Catholic, the USA had certain laws put into place. But in the 1980s, Reagan had these laws removed and a Vatican embassy was put into place.
SOmetimes I wonder if the Roman Catholic Church is pretty harmless. But then I see Bush, Clinton Reagan, bowing down and kissing the Pope. Maybe just politics? Then I see how most catholics vote in favor of amnesty and vote NO to a border wall being built. Is that because most immigrants are Catholic? Then I look at the nuts at these anti-gun rallies, and there are alot of catholics involved or people from the ecumenical movement.
As much as I want to believe the catholic vs protestant war is over, I really have my doubts. It seems like with the Trillions of dollars the catholic church has, how it has such a large influence, Politicians in the highest of places bowing down to the Pope, i really can’t help but feel concerned.
As a protestant, I want to live in peace. But it seems like the Catholics are never satified with that. Stop having these anti-gun rallies. Stop supporting AMnesty and illegal immigration, stop influencing our presidents to drop bombs on Christians, like we did with the Kosovo christian serbs. And give the Jews and Christians back their property you took in the Holocaust (see Alperin vs Vatican)

Johnny Air Time, I am not here to say that what happened prior to and during the Civil War was wrong, but I will not apologize for those things. If the Colonials and Southerners had not brought over the men and women of the European and African continents, where would those brothers and sisters be today. Oh you didn’t know about the Europeans. In the history that you were taught did you ever hear of the INDENTURED SERVANT. The white slaves were treated just as bad as the black slaves.
If slavery had not been an institution since biblical times and even today that evil would not be an issue. As far as slavery goes, you need to look back only since 1865 here.
Do you honestly think the black man was truly freed. My grandfather share cropped several hundred acres with a black family. I ran with black kids before integration was even a issue word in the 1960’s and 70’s. My grandparents on my dad’s side were migrant farm workers and still were manually picking cotton in Texas in the 40’s and 50’s.
I was the first in my entire family to go to college as I witnessed how the government tried to keep the people herded like sheep, and dependent on them. I was determined that I would not be one of the sheep, but one of the sheep dogs.
When I was a police officer and I arrested the black youth for dealing drugs, I would tell them that they owed their ancestors more than slinging a twenty dollar rock on the street. Their response would be they had no opportunity. No opportunity! No opportunity only if you didn’t take advantage of what was afforded to you. No opportunity if you didn’t show up for school. No opportunity if your parents didn’t care where or what you did. The best black kids I had encountered were the children raised by the Grandparents and they were just a contact on a traffic stop. Their Grandparents had been there, and done that and seen the evil and hate both of black and white men.
If we are going to survive as a nation, we have to get rid of this black and white issue. We have to get rid of the hyphenated American name. If that were the case I would have to list myself as a Polish, German, Czech, Irish, Scott, Blackfoot, as my family has been on this continent prior to 1740 and that is just what I know of since a kid. My wife is a descendant of Daniel Boone, and of German descendants. I raised all of my kids as American.
You want heritage. Those were Americans that fought General Gates at Lexington and Concorde. Those were Americans that fought Cornwallis. Those were Americans that fought the British in 1812. Those were Americans that fought the Kaiser in WW 1. Those were Americans that fought Hitler and Hirohito in World War 2. Greatest fighter pilots in World War 2 were the Tuskegee Airmen.
Apologize for Southern slavery, never while I still live and breathe. I have brothers and sisters here in the United States now that otherwise would be carrying an AK47 for a war lord or chopping each other up with machetes, or fighting over a bowl of gruel on the African continent.
We have been enriched by the black people as a nation in both inventions and quality of life.
As far as a race issue goes. I saw brown, red, yellow, black and white at the TEA parties that I watched. On second thought I believe what I saw were Americans who still give a rat’s ass about their country, and the path of destruction that we are on if WE don’t stand up.

I’m not gonna bother posting it again. I guess some people here want those people protected so i won’t waste my time trying to repost what i wrote earlier. Look into Piper, who I think is secretly supported by people with a keen interest in wanting to deny the holocaust and place the blame of the world’s problems on Jewish control.
When in actuality, i think this whole “blame the JEws” thing is constructed to divert people from the true cause of who is behind the grand conspiracy of the NWO.

That is a really good point. I wanted a video camera my whole life and now they have them so small, someone showed me one the size of a cigarette pack that cost them less than $100 brand new and it can hold hours of footage. I sure wish I had owned one during 9/11 and the months afterward.

People need to get a life seriously. That is the lamest crap I have ever heard. This is another reason I have suggested to Alex and staff to get a real secure system built into the Comments sections of the articles, where we have to manually login with an ID and PW to authenticate credentials and to properly verify relevancy of posts. If it’s just plain stupid, it’ll be easier for the moderators who get to see each comment as it goes through the queue to block it and after several violations or abuses, just ban that user permanently from logging in and posting anything. That’s what they do on other sites I’ve been on and it usually works great. Stop appeasing the free-speech goons. With your freedom comes the responsibility to use and properly safeguard it and idiots that post things like “1st” are an example of morons that don’t have the first clue about that.

Last summer two of my friends died suddenly and mysteriously. Both were Marine veterans of wars and both were very antigovernment. Both had sent paperwork into the IRS telling them they were out of their system, that they were sovereign freemen. One of them had his 2 dogs which were tied up in his front yard poisoned to death a couple of weeks before he died. Both of these patriots were found dead in their homes and no autopsies were done. Both could have died from heart attacks, but they had been actively working and there was no indication this was the cause.

The next civil war in the US will be different from anything you have ever seen or heard of. These scenarios have been modeled for years. It will involve all aspects of your life. Banks, grocery stores, gas stations, the utilities, the media, and others will all be involved and on different sides and use different motives at all operational levels. In short, most folks wont understand what is happening as it happens.

Since there is another marc with the same spelling from texas posting I will add another name to avoid confusion. I love the movie Runningman how the world economy collapsed, food natural resources and oil are in short supply, A police state is divided into paramilitary zones. Television is controlled by the state and art music and communications are censored. They fabricate evidence against dissidents and enemies of the state and send them out into the cities to be hunted by their gladiators and vigilantes. Great show
