Organizers Shocked As 10,000 Attend Gun Show

Organizers were shocked as 10,000 people attended a gun show in Daly City, California, with customers eager to purchase semi-auto assault rifles and high capacity clips due to fears that the Obama administration is about to eviscerate the second amendment.

Video footage of the event shows vehicles crammed into parking lots and crowds of people lined up to attend the show at the Cow Palace.

“The people we spoke to said they came because they fear that the president’s task force on guns will result in tighter restrictions on ammunition, clips, and especially assault weapons,” reports ABC 7 News.

Customers who purchased firearms put the huge turnout down to fears about the Obama administration’s draconian gun control agenda.

“That’s why we all need to get ‘em now before they take ‘em away,” said Jayleen Heres after buying an AR15 assault rifle.

Attendee Bob Daziel concurred, saying the popularity of the gun show was, “Because Obama wants to take everybody’s guns away. So they’re down here buying ammo, buying guns, they’re getting ready for the next revolution.”

Vice-President Joe Biden is currently overseeing a gun control task force that is set to announce its recommendations before the end of the month. Biden has indicated that President Obama could use executive orders to curtail the second amendment.

As we reported earlier this month, Biden guaranteed Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino, co-chair of the Mayors Against Illegal Guns organisation, that the administration would “get it done by the end of January,” a promise made before the Sandy Hook shooting even took place.

A record 2.78 million Americans registered for background checks last month compared to 1.86 million in December 2011. Gun stores are struggling to keep up with demand as shelves begin to empty, with owners labeling Barack Obama the best gun salesman they ever had.

Sales of semi-autos are through the roof, prompting U.S. Sen. Chuck Schumer to demand that gun retailers like Walmart and Sports Authority, “Suspend sales of modern assault-style weapons until Congress is able to fully consider and vote on legislation to curb gun violence.”

California Senator Dianne Feinstein is set to introduce gun control legislation on January 22 that would treat gun owners akin to sex offenders, forcing them to submit fingerprints as well as requiring all Americans to register the serial numbers of all their guns with the federal government. The bill would also ban a plethora of different firearms.

It is not yet known whether gun control lawmakers will grease the skids for the widespread confiscation of semi-automatic firearms, a move which could prove disastrous.

While Obama is leading the charge to disarm Americans, he recently signed a bill that mandates lifetime armed Secret Service protection for all past presidents. The federal government is also buying ammunition in huge quantities, with over 1.6 billion bullets purchased by the Department of Homeland Security in the last 9 months alone.
