Pachauri is destroying the credibility of science

Paul Ehrlich, world renowned scientist (alarmist), in his book, Population Bomb, in 1968.
This ‘great scientist, economist and futurologist’’- who actually had a degree in ecology – has won numerous awards despite the brazenly false claims that he has made. Oh yes, Ehrlich predicted in the late 1960s that hundreds of millions of Indians will die of starvation by 1980.
An economist called Julian Simon was so outraged by Ehrlich’s alarmist predictions that he provoked the ‘great scientist’ to make a bet in 1980. Simon gambled that the real prices of five commodities (primarily metals) would fall by 1990 – commodities which Ehrlich was saying will probably disappear from the Earth by then. By 1990, Ehrlich had lost the bet. And after that came the series of honours and awards for Ehrlich; and none for Simon. Most ‘establishment’ figures dismissed Simon as a nut case. Can you explain this travesty of truth, science, fair play and alleged dedication to ‘facts’?
“Glaciers in the Himalaya are receding faster than in any other part of the world and, if the present rate continues, the likelihood of them disappearing by the year 2035 and perhaps sooner is very high if the Earth keeps warming at the current rate.”
R.K Pachauri, as the leader of the Inter-Governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), in the official report released on global warming.
This great ‘scientist’ – who is actually a mechanical engineer – accepted the Nobel Prize on behalf of IPCC despite persistent allegations by real scientists that the IPCC under Pachauri was ‘manufacturing facts’ to fan climate change fundamentalism.

Actually, the credibility of science has been succumbing to entropy for decades. You can thank me, Freud, Gore, and Hawkings for that.

Actually the scientific method is sound. The trouble is that many scientists aren`t using it, and therefore are not scientists but political agents. This is 100% true for Freud and Gore of course, but I`m not so sure about Darwin and Hawking. At least they base their theories on observation and seem to be honest about what is data and what is unduction in their works (the parts of them I`ve read and hopefully understood.
That political interests hijack such theories later and abuse their ideas can hardly be blamed on the scientists themselves, but on a combination of ruling class arrogance and general ignorance about science. If the population actually read Darwin instead of watching sports they would know that all the social Darwinism we have seen in the last 100 years doesn`t come from him but from elitists and finance oligarchs, who had always held these beliefs anyway under different names.

I did not apply the “scientific method”. Are you mad? You need a “control” when testing the variables to apply the scientific method. I simply observed and developed a conclusion of my own accord. That is why evolution is, and always will be, a “theory”. It cannot be proven scientifically.
It is not the scientific method that fails men, but men who fail the scientific method. In their conclusions (often based on biased test parameters), men find incentives outside of the controlled environment. This is what I refer to as the entropy to which science succumbs.

I agree with Darwin and if the scientific method and its components can be manipulated to result in a preconceived conclusion then the scientific method IS NOT sound. I don’t believe many people even know the steps in the scientific method. This is a society based on screwed up emotions and feelings. People who use their brain are made to be a societal pariah, outcast, put down, scolded and punished.
The soundness of the scientific method relies upon honest scrutiny and a diverse cross section of peer reviews. That hasn’t occurred in a very long time. So one has to question all scientific conclusions that have been drawn or discovered via research…but for how long?
What these people were doing was NOT anything that resembles the scientific method and, as I said at the beginning of the post, I agree with Darwin. It is rare to see pure science these days. Even IT is tilted and tainted with agenda politics.
What we are experiencing now is a modern day dark ages.

lol damn even hawkings? yeah they like to fudge things but don’t put gore with those other guys who LEAST went to school and studied their lies to get doctorates in it before they started tampering with numbers and facts. I still see where you are going though and science has been failed us because of lies and macho people who don’t believe they are ever wrong.
