Beginning June 10, PATH passengers will take part in a security screening pilot program at multiple PATH stations. The pilot test is expected to run until July 10 and will not inconvenience passengers or interrupt their commutes.

This pilot is part of both the Transportation Security Administration and PATH efforts to ensure the safety of travelers by testing new technologies that identify individuals who seek to do harm to mass transportation systems. There is no current threat to the mass transit system.

The passive millimeter wave passenger screening technology being tested detects threats, including explosive devices hidden under clothing. This technology does not emit radiation of any kind and poses no risk to passengers.

All passengers entering a PATH station taking part in the pilot test are subject to security screening. Passengers who do not wish to be subject to screening must exit the station.

This sounds like the same technology the perverts use to look through peoples clothing. I guess you could put infared LED’s all over you to block it, but then you become suspicious.

      James Reply:

Oh wait, perhaps not what I was thinking about. Not as bad as that back scatter x-ray thing, perhaps.

    3. Bankdog Says:

“Passengers who do not wish to be subject to screening must exit the station.”
Like that’s an option and won’t peak the TSAs suspicions. And, make sure not to sweat either!

LOL exactly!!! Like turning around and leaving is an option. Stop citizen slave, you can’t leave your a terrorist!!!

“All passengers entering a PATH station taking part in the pilot test are subject to security screening. Passengers who do not wish to be subject to screening must exit the station.”

They make it sound as if you have a choice. The NJ Transit and PATH commuters at the station in Hoboken, NJ will have to take the Bus… which, if you know anything about the PATH destinations in NYC, will take a Hell of a lot longer, especially if you’re going downtown.

The whole thing has little to do with safety and more to do with further enslavement of the masses.

Wow, now that’s a prime example of doublethink:

First they say, “[It] will not inconvenience passengers or interrupt their commutes.”

Then they say, “Passengers who do not wish to be subject to screening must exit the station.”

Sounds a tad inconvenient to me.

    9. Geoph Says:

      Don’t you feel safer already?
Sounds like more doublespeak to me.

I live near the Path statition. Maybe I should go and wear under my clothes my Victoria’s Secret undi and bra.

Now if a man did that I say that would be funny! Maybe the screeners would have an aversion to snooping so much. Great idea for the real life naked exrays at the airports..

Hey Guys start wearing lingerie underneath.. Enough cross dressers may be the way for them to not infringe rights!

As time goes by… I see why planes were used on 9/11.
We can have faith in their ability to come out with new technology for this.
But no faith in humanity using any of the 1,000’s of free energy technology we have for cars, electricity, and water treatment.
But as Jason Bermas has been pointing out. They prefer to use terrorist scare tactics to control you. Scare you that in 2100 humanity has no hope.

Today’s technology is no longer to save the planet, but for wars and the new control grid.
If you are an inventor, you need to focus on what is big business.
Cold Fusion was not a reality for the public. But right now it is being used by the Navy.

Seems silly to think men with box cutters that can only kill one person on a plane of 100’s was the real threat.
Yet even after all this technology, they hand the passengers plastic sporks to eat with, which are just as deadly as a box cutter.

    12. steelwarrior Says:

this is the issue they are scanning for non exitant threats the artical says they will use it to detect persons who want to cause harm to the public transit stations but also say they is no reason to think that there is any threat at all. why have we not all gotten very very angry about this crap

When i went to singapore and then to Indonesia recently they have disinfectant stales set up where no one can go in if they have not been disinfected out of 250 people I was the only one to ask any questions at all about those things I was the only one mad and if i had not calmed down and walk through i could see the sercirty men getting ready to come drag me into it all for Flu scares get it stright people if you are infected with flu disinfecting the outside of the body does absolutly nothing against it

    13. Caitlyn Says:

“…by testing new technologies that identify individuals who seek to do harm to mass transportation systems. There is no current threat to the mass transit system.”

Ummmm, just curious Ms. Napolitano; if there is currently no threat, then WHY do we need to subject people to this garbage? It sounds to me like this will be disruptive as all hell to the commuters who still believe in freedom (if they haven’t left that area yet.)

@James: Try WORSE than x-ray backscatter. (clearer picture)

    14. roaddog Says:

      and we accept this….

    15. "ren Says:

maybe ok for city folk but here in rural america that crap wont fly. we have no transit system in the country. if they fix it to where i cant buy gas, i’ll ride my horse, or walk. i refuse to let some 2nd grade education level jackass security sheeple look thru one of those things just to see if i am wearing panties or not.

    16. Just Me Says:

The Fourth Amendment: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

This Unlawful Illegal search is a violation of the Fourth Amendment.

When we abandon the precepts of law, tyranny begins.

      Just Me Reply:

There is neither probable cause nor issued warrants.

TSA perverts gone wild. same s--- different day. I wonder what goes through their minds when they scan people… They probably get a rise out of seeing people naked without having to strip them down… telling extremely fat people they don’t have to go through the scanners…heheheh

    18. goofster Says:

What goes through mind, is that some of the passenger need to take a bath. We are not perverts, it is just a job that pay the bill so get it right and don’t judge us by our jobs you stupid f---.

Wear cotton. They can only see through synthetics! I know because I worked for a Cam company once. They showed me how they did stuff. Nylon etc they can see through. Natural fibbers they can’t. So wear cotton pants, shirts undies etc.. pure.. not blends. Then they will have to pull you over for a search. Trust me. That’s how it works.

      Raimond Reply:

How would someone who doesn’t work at an airport verify the natural fiber info? Inquiring minds, you know.

    21. Patriotgal Says:

‘Scuze me- millimerter microwaves ARE radiation. Anyone at the news bureau ever hear of the electromagnetic spectrum??? Or take a high school physics class? I guess not. FYI- I am a scientist/engineer. It has not been shown to MY satisfaction that these are “harmless”. It was proved 40 years ago that the police speed radar was giving the cops cancer. Squirting ANY radiation at someone MAY cause harm, and should be punished accordingly.
