Paulson Was Behind Bailout Martial Law Threat

Senator James Inhofe has revealed that Henry Paulson was behind the threats of martial law and a new great depression prior to the passage of the bailout bill, having made such warnings during a conference call on September 19th, around two weeks before the legislation was eventually approved by both the Senate and Congress.
As we reported at the time, on October 2, Democratic Congressman Brad Sherman gave a stunning speech on the House floor during which he decried the fact that, “Many of us were told in private conversations that if we voted against this bill on Monday that the sky would fall, the market would drop two or three thousand points the first day, another couple of thousand the second day, and a few members were even told that there would be martial law in America if we voted no.”
A few days before, Rep. Michael Burgess also told the House, “Mr. Speaker I understand we are under Martial Law as declared by the speaker last night,” referring to a temporary suspension of the rules and procedures of Congress by its leaders so that a bill can be passed quickly.
But the origin of the most dire warnings about physical martial law in America, to which Sherman was likely referring, has now been exposed.

Speaking on Tulsa Oklahoma’s 1170 KFAQ, when asked who was behind threats of martial law and civil unrest if the bailout bill failed, Senator James Inhofe named Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson as the source.
“Somebody in D.C. was feeding you guys quite a story prior to the bailout, a story that if we didn’t do this we were going to see something on the scale of the depression, there were people talking about martial law being instituted, civil unrest….who was feeding you guys this stuff?,” asked host Pat Campbell.
“That’s Henry Paulson,” responded Inhofe, “We had a conference call early on, it was on a Friday I think – a week and half before the vote on Oct. 1. So it would have been the middle … what was it – the 19th of September, we had a conference call. In this conference call – and I guess there’s no reason for me not to repeat what he said, but he said – he painted this picture you just described. He said, ‘This is serious. This is the most serious thing that we faced.’”
Inhofe said that Paulson told members of Congress the crisis would be “far worse than the great depression” if Congress didn’t authorize the bill to buy out toxic debt, a proposal “which he abandoned the day after he got the money,” added Inhofe.
Inhofe is referring to the controversy last week when it emerged that the bailout money was not going to buy up toxic debt but instead Paulson, the former CEO of Goldman Sachs, had pulled a bait and switch and ordered the money be injected directly into banks.
Senator Inhofe has slammed the secrecy surrounding the destination of the bailout money, saying that Hank Paulson could have given it to his friends and that the “blank check” must be cancelled now.
Inhofe is now trying to rally support for a freeze on what’s left of the initial $350 billion of bailout money with his “roll back the bailout” proposal, which will also require an affirmative vote on the part of Congress to approve Treasury’s plan for the remaining $350 billion.

I think there are a lot of people who value this as an alternative media site, but don’t comment because this section is bogged down with weird diversions. The best thing to do, imo, is just ignore them and post comments related to the topic at hand.
That being said, I’m kind of relieved to hear that these words came from Paulson and not a whole bunch of shadowy figures that would never be brought into the light. Things are beginning to surface and congress is waking up.

How sad for america. I have many friends who work for these big companies like Shaw, Dow, Intel, and state workers watching their retirement evaporate into thin air. They tell me there is “no” reason for the stocks to take such a nosedive , other than bank and mortgage stocks…even though we are in a recession many of the companies are still financially sound, not bleeding in red ink, and most of all not bankrupt, yet almost all stocks have dropped 50% or more in the last 6 months.
Yes to tell you guys how much it is being manipulated. The large banks “are” I repeat “ARE” restricting credit to many of these big companies… Minimum of 50% some as much as 90%. So how can these companies get inventory, etc…which most of it is on Credit….90day credit lines, etc…..they can’t make nothing when there is no credit….

Alex Jones always highlights the problems – Fed, NWO, Bilderbergers, police state etc. He never gives equal time to finding solutions. Something which Ron Paul does – he talks about monetary policy, political activism, economic issues – matters that can make a difference, that can actually bring down the NWO.

After 4 months of listening to Alex Jones and following his show religiously, I am now of the opinion that he is not who you think he is. He has GOT to be a CIA operative! Working for the Dark – I’m convinced of this and I’ll tell you why:
1. The forceful brainwashing/mind control techniques he uses – this is a VERY powerful man but when you listen to him, you end up feeling WEAK AND FEARFUL – is that supposed to be a good thing? No, he’s disempowering because the energy I’m left with is NEGATIVE. The constant histrionics – wears on my soul. The anger, rage, fear, distress. Only a very few listeners will feel empowered enough to take positive action in response – the rest of us feel helpless, hopeless and FEARFUL!
2. He points out nothing but problems – but offers FEW SOLUTIONS that anyone can really use.
3. Any solutions usually involve spending more MONEY – on his products, or on the sponsors who support him. Now if the economy is so bad – how are we supposed to even stock up? I know I can’t – I lost my job.
4. How can any one person KNOW this much about the enemy? Is it really all his research? Or is he working FOR THEM and being fed all this info to spew on us – but at a time when it’s TOO LATE FOR US TO ACTUALLY SOLVE THE PROBLEM?
5. He spouts Christianity and the more I study the Bible, the more I realize how hateful and sacrificial and violent the Bible’s God is – is this really our Creator? Or is the Bible really a New World Order creation that mixes lies with truth?
All in all, I’m not saying that Alex Jones isn’t telling the truth about the New World Order. The evidence clearly shows that he IS. The QUESTION IS: Who is he really working for? Does it really empower and help us to know all this stuff when plans have already been under way for aeons and we basically can’t do much about it?
I’d rather try enjoying my life, what’s left of it anyway. It’s time to stop listening to Alex Jones. I’ve had enough. Life sucks hard enough, I don’t need this misery to drag me down further before the NWO finally gets to us all!

Who all here thinks AJ is one of them? How can it be that he has gotton away with this site, his rallies,dvds,talk show,ect….and nothing has happend 2 him? Im not saying he is, but where’s the proof he isn’t. There’s NO way the NWO would let anyone get away with this stuff if its not part of there plan. This site has really went down hill in the past year. Telling us more problems,scare tactics, wants more of r money and gives us no solutions.. God bless us all.

When the economy is going to collaps due to crisis in the financial system, then 5 trillion is needed.
When the economy is going to collaps due to crisis in the auto-industry, which will cause 5 million layoffs as first result, then not even 25billion needs to be spend.

Just think about it, they are taking away all of our resources. Soon we will be spending a days wages for a loaf of bread. What does this sound like? What do you do to your enemies when you want to take them out? YOU TAKE AWAY THEIR RESOURCES!!! You weaken them. You take their homes, their cars, their food, their money. It may be just about too late to do anything about this. There are too many people in America right now that are living paycheck to paycheck. I know this, I can’t afford to go off to another state to a rally to protest. I can barely afford to keep the bills paid. Another thing, how in the world would we ever start a revolution? air never really came out of the market since 2001—then it was only really worth 5500 points by reasonable historical standards…this forward earnings concept was just plain BS dreamed up by the Wall Street sharks just like Buy and hold.
The only thing that makes the Dow worth in the 8000’s now is that thanks to the bush administration breaking the back of our country again [seems like the elite broke it in 1929] and the lower value of the dollar the 5500 grossed up b the lower % dollar is somewhere in the 8000’s.
Now that the low quality earnings figures are catching up to the situation and falling due to the destroyed consumer you can look for a Dow below 6000 on the horizon.
What I find interesting is that no one wants to lay this disaster where it belongs–at the feet of The Council on Foreign Relations–GOD knows enough of their members had everything to do with killing Glass-Steagall setting up the derivatives rape of the economy and then along comes the Council bank, JPM/C and kills Bear and Lehman….a real neatly executed put up job.Even Greenspan acknowledged in the sixties [before he became a total whore to Wall Street and the Council on Foreign Relations, CFR] that “Gold will be sought as a medium of exchange in times of extremis.”
Of note, 1998 is the year that Greenspan [CFR], Rubin [CFR], and Summers[CFR] lobbied Congress to repeal the Glass-Steagall Act which was the last protection of the taxpayer from the current disaster–and got Bill Clinton [CFR] to sign the Gramm bill.
I personally believe one reason for the determined manipulation of the gold price is that we have very little gold left in Ft. Knox. In 1998 the 6 people who worked at the depository moving the gold bricks and keeping track of them in the various accounts were all let go and replaced with new personnel. There has been a great deal of gold “leasing” since that time by gold bullion banks which are operations by banks who actually own the FED—JPM/C, Goldman, Citigroup. Was the gold replaced? Or were they caught short by the rapid increase in the gold price. Frank Veneroso and James Turk have attested to large short positions.
I really have to ask the question if the American taxpayer’s gold has been misappropriated and cannot be returned due to pricing and current demand factors in the gold market.
These questions really have to be broached in the media.

Gold- the gold markets are like a war–the fundamentals exert themselves only to be manipulated down in the comex. So much gold has been leased by the treasury to the large bullion banks, the usual suspects–JPM, Citi, and Goldman Sachs, that no one knows how much gold is left in Ft. Knox–if any.
That would be a good question to ask–how much has been leased at 1% or less at a low price level, never to return. Seems to me the gold reserves belong to the taxpayers and we ought to know. The leases should not be extended–and the gold should be forced to be returned in kind by the bullion banks.
Now no one wants to promulgate the information that a new Real Estate Crash 2 is starting in May and running in neighborhoods near you till 2012.
I am sharing with you below a couple of powerful charts from Barclays and Credit Suisse. Europeans seem to tell a bit more truth than the American banks, probably because our banks have so much to hide.
The next downdraft–I call it Real Estate Crash 2, will start slowly in May 2009 and continue till mid year 2012. Possible the markets will try for a bottom early 2012 in anticipation of the end of the RE collapse.
The subprime mess was caused by 615 billion in loans buried in derivatives–I am guessing about 20-25% of those loans went bad. Many of those people are trying desperately to keep their homes.
The next session will incorporate 1.1 trillion of option and interest only ARMS held by thinly capitalized speculators who got in too late and got trapped in upside down loans. They are screwed. I think over 50% of these loans and their derivatives will go bad–2009-2011 will be very bad years for the housing market, labor, and the consumer. I see gold and the Dow meeting at 4000-5000, Bonds will be crushed.
Note the credit Suisse Chart at the bottom resets drop off starting end of 2008 and then a whole new series of Interest only and Option ARMS readjust starting May 2009 till late 2012. In the 615 billion subprime adjustments that started all of this mess, many people worked hard to try to keep their homes.
The new series of adjustments are weakly capitalized speculator held homes that the speculators are caught upside down in and cannot get out of the contracts. They will be wiped out by the resets increasing the mortgage payments beyond their ability to pay. These failures will do severe damage to what is left of the economy after the Paulson rape of the taxpayer.
The Option ARMs and Interest Only (IOs) loans scheduled to reset in the next few years will add more trouble. These loans represent about 15% of securitized loans and some have negatively amortized, increasing the payments and making refinancing more difficult. According to data from Barclay’s, about $300 billion in option ARMs and $820 billion in IO’s are set to recast. The results could be payment shocks over 80% for option ARMs and over 60% for IOs according to Barclay’s.

Putting it all together……the months with the green tops were mostly the subprime arm resets which is about $615 billion till may 2009, which have caused all the problems we now have.
—the orange/pink tops are another whole set of resets just starting in 2009 which is about another $820 billion between 5/2009 and 6/2012. Anyone calling a “bottom” in real estate or the home construction industry simply is lying or do not know what they are talking about.

Congress had the power to pass or not pass the Bailout Bill. Not Paulson. The Senate (Inhofe) re-crafted the original (failed) bill adding pork barrel earmarks (more expense) with the express intent of coercing the House into passing the second version. Now Inhofe wants to cry out loud like he is some kind of saviour whistleblower? Too late you BIG PUTZ!
I don’t like Paulson or the conscious raping and pillaging of America that he obviously represents but he could not have done this without the explicit blessing of Inhofe and his peers. So who really betrayed us, some immoral ex-CEO of an investment bank, appointed by a crooked administration, or our own elected officials? So Paulson ran around screaming like Chicken Little. Inhofe, and his peers, gave him the power to screw us all. Who’s the idiot?
Now don’t just stop here and shake your finger at Inhofe. Did you (reader) contact your Senators or Congress Representatives to voice your opinion of the Bailout Bill? Did you (reader) bother to find out if your Representatives voted for, or against, the bill? Who did you vote for in the November election? No doubt we need quick some solutions to our problems but Paulson’s Bailout (get richer scheme) was not that solution and it was obvious from the beginning. I sent multiple phone calls, e-mails, and faxes to the Senate and the House opposing the bill prior to both votes. I threatened that I would not vote for anybody who supported the bill. I cast my vote against my District Representative in the election because he voted in favor of the bill. The scum-sucker still was re-elected. What did you do? Just sit back and watch?

Pat (#97). I thoroughly appreciate your comments. I am familiar with Glass-Steagul and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley act that former Senator Gramm sponsored (This is the same Sen. Gramm, who along with his wife, Cindy, created the Enron mess) and was signed into law by President Slick. I want to find out more about the Council on Foreign Affairs. You seem very well-informed about what’s really happening in the world. Would you mind turning me onto some links that would help me become better informed. My head hurts from trying to keep track of all the villians out there (the Bilderbergers, the Rothchilds, the Tri-lateral commission, the WTO, the Zionists, AIPAC, the World Bank, the IMF, etc.). I’m trying to get the entire picture. I have many of the parts, but not enough to put it all together in detail.
