Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) has also declined to commit to giving the public a week to read and consider the final health-care bill.
At her press briefing on Thursday, Pelosi was asked whether the health-care bill would be handled differently than the stimulus bill, which came up in February. The 1,071-page final text of that bill was posted on the House Appropriations Committee’s Web site late on a Thursday night and then voted on the next day.

That is a great idea that I brought up in a political science class I took last semester. My professor said that the legislation process would become too clogged up in that way, but I told her that it makes less sense to pass such a high volume of legislation without the voters even knowing what they are voting on. My idea was actually to give five days per 100 pages of a particular bill. I think that this IS an iea worht persuing we should try to find a congressman/woman to cosponser such a bill.

Well I don’t have any college degree and never want to have, but I have to tell you that if people would hear “Call your congress representative” as often as they hear “Ask your doctor” the US would be a totally different place. I would seem a no brainer to “NOT VOTE” for something that you know nothing about.
