Pentagon Multiple Choice: Dissenting Americans are Terrorists

Last week the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California issued a press release demanding the Department of Defense stop teaching employees that dissent is a form of low-level terrorism. “Teaching employees that dissent on issues of public concern is something to be feared, rather than encouraged, is a dangerously counterproductive use of scarce security resources, making us less safe as a democracy,” Northern California ACLU Staff Attorney Ann Brick and ACLU Washington National Security Policy Council Michael German wrote in a letter to Gail McGinn, Acting Undersecretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.

A multiple choice question included on a Level 1 Antiterrorism Awareness training course required for all DoD personnel asks the following question: “Which of the following is an example of low-level terrorist activity?” The correct answer is “protests.” The ACLU wants the question removed.
“For the DoD to instruct its employees that lawful protest activities should be treated as ‘low-level terrorism’ is deeply disturbing in and of itself,” write Brick and German of the ACLU in the letter to Gail McGinn. “It is an even more egregious insult to constitutional values, however, when viewed in the context of a long-term pattern of domestic security initiatives that have attempted to equate lawful dissent with terrorism.”
Brick and German underscore documented military snooping on hundreds of legal anti-war and military protests, the FBI’s surveillance of protests at the RNC, and state police and sheriff departments covert surveillance of peace groups. “Policing ideas, rather than criminal activities, runs counter to our nation’s core principles, undermining the very foundations of the free society that the Department of Defense is dedicated to preserving.”
In fact, the Department of Defense is dedicated to preserving the criminal activity of the banksters and undermining the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.
“I spent 33 years in the Marines. Most of my time being a high-class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer for capitalism,” wrote the most decorated Marine in U.S. history, Smedley Butler, in his 1935 book, War Is a Racket. “Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints.”
Since Butler’s days, the Pentagon has vastly upgraded its Mafia techniques and has expanded its war to include the American people.
As Episcopal priest and activist Frank Morales notes, the Pentagon has declared war on America:
The “domestic war on terrorism” hinges upon the Pentagon’s doctrine of homeland defense. Mountains of repressive legislation are being enacted in the name of internal security. So called “homeland security”, originally set within the Pentagon’s “operations other than war”, is actually a case in which the Pentagon has declared war on America. Shaping up as the new battleground, this proliferating military “doctrine” seeks to justify new roles and missions for the Pentagon within America. Vast “legal” authority and funds to spy on the dissenting public, reconfigured as terrorist threats, is being lavished upon the defense, intelligence and law enforcement “community.”
“Here in America, all distinction between the military and police functions is about to be forever expunged with the looming repeal of the Posse Comitatus Act,” continues Morales. It is a “New World Law and Order” based on the repeal of the Posse Comitatus Act that requires a system of domestic and global counterinsurgency led by the Pentagon. “The objective is to centralize all intelligence gathering under one roof, the Department of Homeland Security and to widely cast the net over all of us, making certain that we all fall in line with the Pentagon Inc. agenda.”
In the 1970s, the Pentagon, the CIA and the FBI, the National Guard, and various state and local police agencies worked in unison to snoop on and subvert the antiwar and civil rights movements. “Back in the late 1960s and early ’70s the FBI, the military, local police and campus police had their own bailiwicks and limited powers” says Christopher Pyle, a former investigator for Senator Frank Church’s Select Committee on Intelligence in the 1970s. “But operating today through the JTTFs and the combined intelligence and fusion centers, which join military analysts with law enforcement specialists, they are all part of one big club, effectively destroying the Fourth Amendment against unlimited search and seizure.”
The “Big Club” and “Pentagon Inc” has sharpened its treasonous tools immeasurably since the day in 1969 when it opened a new war room in the basement of the Pentagon and created the headquarters of the Directorate for Civil Disturbance Planning and Operations. “In the fall of 1968, there were more Army Counter-lntelligence Analysis Branch personnel assigned to monitor domestic citizen protests than were assigned to any other counter-intelligence operation in the world, including Southeast Asia and the Vietnam War,” write Morton Halperin, Jerry Berman, Robert Borosage, Christine Marwick in their study on the crimes of U.S. intelligence agencies.
With the exception of the FBI, the military intelligence services collected more information on American politics in the sixties than any other federal agency. The army conducted a full-scale Pentagon operation within the United States, and the figures and attitudes reflect this approach. Where a civilian agency might have opened a hundred files, the military created a thousand; the army established CONUS and CONARC intelligence commands, and then reorganized and reinitiated them as USAINTC, the Directorate of Civil Disturbance Planning, and the Division of Military Support. They ran operations with such code names as GARDEN PLOT, ROSE BUSH, PUNCH BLOCK, STEEP HILL, LANTERN SPIKE, QUIET TOWN, GRAM METRIC, and CABLE SPLICER; and they developed intelligence “compendiums,” a “mug book,” daily, weekly and monthly intelligence summaries, special reports, “city packets,” contingency and alternative contingency plans, computerized filing systems, and crossover index files to information. All were based on agent spot reports, radio intercepts, incident and personality files, newspaper clippings and data from numerous civilian sources. Each level of the military hierarchy tried to placate its superiors by collecting as much or more information than the task required, whether it was of any importance or not. The attitude pervading these army operations was best stated by Robert E. Jordan III, general counsel to the army: “the people on the other side were essentially the enemy. The army conducted a de facto war against all citizen protest, legitimate and illegitimate, violent and peaceful, white and black.
Jordan’s remark is as pertinent today as it was 30 some odd years ago — the American people are the enemy and the de facto war is to be waged against all citizen protest. Index files have been replaced by quasi-supercomputing and DARPA’s Total Information Awareness, now deemed Terrorist Information Awareness.

Actually, stating your name is a huge mistake. If you give them your name you are placing yourself in a position of being subject to their laws… just say, my name is not important.
Find a good common law lawyer, and do not so much as open your mouth at all, other than to ask for council. They will make it hell for you, and hold you for 24 hours, if not longer, but the majority of laws, are not *laws* but simply *Acts* and acts do not apply to anyone who does not willingly allow them to be used upon themselves.

The common man is the backbone of the nation and, make no mistake, when the commoners are broken down, America’s back will be broken.

Everyone who believes in the truth movement needs to start actually getting to know each other better. I don’ know how many people visit this website but we need to find a way of finding out who lives close to who etc. and start getting out there on the streets to get our message heard. We own our countries NOT THEM and we need to stop sitting on our arses and do something.
I know by our very nature we are suspicious but we have to find a way of gettng to know who we all are and where we live etc. There are many different We Are Change sections and maybe we need to all start joining up with our local one.

I think the founders of our Nation saw this in the future, and did all they could to prevent the government from gaining too much power. The government officials should be accountable to the people not the other way around. The government is pulling the foundation out from under the “building” (the United States) and it WILL fall if the people don’t do something about it and take back control of our government. well, someone is “hurt” or disturbed in much of what we do. it’s a balance. let’s say i want to chainsaw on sunday, but my neighbor objects. i say i am not religious and i have to get it done…etc..
in reality our only course is to try and learn how to get along with each other. it’s either that or the government. and having fire arms will not fix this. i agree that -if you give the police and government fire arms, than the citizens need them – as a balance.
but what we all want in to work out a lifestyle of love and friendship.
freedom is just another word. part of another duality freedom/slavery. one brings the other.

Damn dude, one thing at a time.
Jefferson wanted to free the slaves, but like many others who were ready to do it, his hands were tied. Reason? You can’t always get what you want. They needed a con-federation to fight the king, many of those states relied to heavily on slave labor, and it essentially forced him to look the other way in order to fight for the new nation.
Anyway, do some research before you start punching. Slavery was already on the way out, and with the advent of the industrial revolution and mechanized production, it became unnecessary on it’s own…without the subsequent U.S. civil war.

My step-dad owned his own Air Conditioning business which had a lot of business in the Dallas, TX area. After 9/11, he eventually had to let everyone go and do business BY HIMSELF or with a partner. It went from a dozen+ trucks and vans to a home business consisting of one truck and the employer working by himself.
Eventually, even though he had a lot of business (IMO), he had to file for bankruptcy and change the company name.. however that works out. I don’t know all the details, but I guess it’s an example to people who read your post about how 9/11 affected everyone.

I don’t think the magnitude of what’s revealed in this article is properly identified by Kurt Nimmo. This is the first time that protest has been publically classified as terrorism by the government. This is the kind of thing that ‘debunkers’ call us paranoid for believing and now they publically admit it. Before in reports like the MIAC they called dissenters ‘extremists’ and ‘potential terrorists’, now they’ve gone ahead and just flat out said that if you protest you’re a terrorist, period. I have been aware of this since the late 70’s when I was involved in the “survivalist movement” that believed that the government had become more dangerous than any enemy this country had fought against in the world wars our fathers and grandfathers had fought in. Our own government has taken the position that we are the enemy in that we are so weak minded that any fool group could recrute us into some far left or right wing extremist group before we knew what was going on. But on the other hand these groups know exactly how to approach people with suptle ways that can take advantage of people’s concerns about the things in our everyday lives that affect our security and the security of our children’s lives. We don’t want to be insecure in how safe we feel we are in our own country. When our own government and police take the position that we are a threat, we have to ask the question, “a threat to whom?” Our government and police establishments? Or to the enemies that would attack our country, like illegal Mexican aliens that come here to kill our citizenary, or Muslim terrorists that have already come here and killed three thousand innocent people? I have already written to the head of the local police academy and our chief of police and told them that they had better decide which side they are going to be on when the next attack come from Muslim terrorists. I told them that the public is sick and tired of every time they are stopped by some cop, that the cop treats them as if the person who was stopped was a criminal already and has no rights to protect themselves against illegal search and seizure by police who are trained now by DHS directives that people that have certain bumper stickers, or stickers in their back windows from certain groups like churches, the NRA, US Army or Marine Corps are a possible threat to the cops safety? What crap. And a cop who stops people for any other reason other than something real, like a tail light that doesn’t work or some traffic violation, but stops people because they belong to a Christian church is a terrorist? When it has gotten to that, it is time to take civic action against these authorities that according to people who are in the know about these sorts of things, is going to be “nasty and bad” on the cops when the push back takes place. Americans will take only so much, and they always wait until it’s getting hard to push back, but they eventually do push back, and it’s the people who win everytime. That is so far. But regardless of the outcome the lefist Democrats who are always behind this sort of thing, become so traumatized by it they don’t try this sort of thing for decades again. Well, it’s that time again. Even my saying this according to the new Homeland Security doctrine, is a terrorist threat. I concider myself a patriot since I came back from Vietnam and found out my government never did intend to win that war, but instead just kept the enemy at bay with our dead bodies? Iraq and Afganistan is the same thing. Our government does not intend on winning either of those wars, it’s a waste of money and lives of our young people. If our government intended to win either one of these wars they wouldn’t have the “rules of engagement” that our military has adopted. That is stupid. When I was in the Army we were trained to “KILL” the enemy. And we were trained as a singular soldier, not this “team” crap they have now. What happens if the whole team is killed except for one? What then, when there is no “team”, does the single soldier know how to go on and finish the mission without the “team”? Probably not. This teaching the military is engaged in is “collectiveism”, and that is how the Russian Army operates. They have to call in to do anything. They aren’t allowed to use their own abilities if it doesn’t include the whole “team”. It’s death to our soldiers if they aren’t trained to fight on their own. The Muslims train their people that every one of them is a jihadist and can operate with autonomy from the “team” to kill the enemy. Those are the people our military and cops should be watching, not us. WE ARE NOT THE ENEMY!!

Although the protestant ‘church’ is split into thousands of denominations each use the same hierarchicle model as Catholicism. Although not quite so ‘pyramid like’ as the monolithic catholicism there is are definite horizontal & vertical links between the protestant denominations that create a super-structure resembling a distorted pyramid with blocks scattered around on the ground, or a tree with fallen branches…Protestants are more prone to public bible bashing than catholics who prefer to be bible-bashed. I can come to no other conclusion other than that SOMEONE in the DoD or someone who works for them is attempting to use terrorism to shape public opionion. This question and it’s attempted brainwashing to stir up hate by the DoD questionaire should never be allowed in a Republic like the U.S.A.
What needs to happen is an investigation needs to occur to find out just WHO in the DOD is trying to stir up hate and misuse their office to try and shape public opinion against anyone who only seeks for truth and works to keep their fellow citizens informed. This really seems like a “hate crime” targeted at those who still believe in the Bill of Rights, a sovereign America, and the Constitution.

The Constitution is a legal contract. This according to Federal law. Not good news . The agreement now considered defunct, because the originators of this document are now dead. There are several cases now pending that deal with exactly this. Needless to say media coverage is non existent ,

I wanted to point out something that many will see as obvious but others may not.
The question on the test is only meant to verify that the student learned his/her instruction. Yes, the question needs removed from the test, but more importantly, the course material needs to changed as well.
In essence, the ACLU wanting the question removed is more than likely just another case of whitewashing the issue.

I don’t think Mr. Jones supports ‘corrupt’ health insurance companies, merely that competition SHOULD bring better deals to the consumer than a monopolistic fed controlled system. Obviously both are open to fraud however many smaller companies, SHOULD in theory provide some damage limitation throughout the whole system. If there is only 1, state HI system & that becomes corrupt damage limitation is not possible. Same goes for any business type.

Talk to your relatives and neighbors who work for DOD or any law enforcement. Talk about our freedoms and the Constitution and how what makes our country strong are those freedoms. Keep these ideas in their head and maybe that will foil the government administrators.

Ironically, just today, President Obama chastized the Iranian government for repressing what he called actions of “legitimate dissent” following the presidential election in Iran.
Clearly, the Pentagon would not be considering mass demonstrations of hundreds of thousands of people in the nation’s capital “legitimate dissent” according to the test question described above. It would be considered low-level terrorism.
